Chapter 75 Izzy's questions about her surgery
Izzy's POV
After I woke up from my nap, I started to ask the boys about my surgery.
"Jake how much longer is princess going to be in surgery for?" I asked him.
" Izzy, I don't know, but if you haven't sneaked inside the operating room, Princess would have been out already and you would be able to see her." Jake said to me.
" Jake what were you and Cubby like when I had surgery done on my leg last year?" I asked him.
"Well, we were worried about you Izzy." Jake said to me.
"Yeah Jake was scared." Cubby said to me.
"Cubby!" Jake said to him.
"What it's the truth." Cubby said to him.
"Hey no fighting." I said to them.
"Oh, fine we won't fight." Jake said to me while rolling his eyes.
"Good! Now, how long was my surgery for?" I asked them.
"Your surgery was six hours." Jake said to me.
"So, my surgery was six hours?" I asked him.
"Yeah." Jake said to me.
"Jake, it was eight hours were you even paying attention?" Cubby asked him.
"No I wasn't I was pacing back and forth because I was worried about Izzy." Jake said to him.
"Jake you need to pay attention to what the doctor is saying." I said to him.
" Well, I am sorry, but I was worried. More worried, them Cubby was." Jake said to me.
"Now wait a second." Cubby said to him.
"You heard me cubby." Jake said to him.
"Were you guys, really worried about me?" I asked them.
" Yes we were worried about you Izzy." Jake said to me.
"I thought you were going to die." Jake said to me.
"Jake, I was getting surgery on my leg, not my heart." I said to him.
"Oh yeah, carry on." Jake said to me.
"How was I during my surgery?" I asked them as they stayed quiet.
"You were funny." Cubby said to me.
"Yeah you said some crazy stuffs." Jake said to me.
"I don't want to know what they were." I said to them.
"Izzy, you said crazy stuffs after the surgery." Jake said to me.
"Really? I thought it was during the surgery." I said to him.
"No, it was after." Cubby said to me.
"I think the reason why you don't remember it, it's because you were under anesthesia." Jake said to me.
"Whatever Jake." I said to him.
"Guys, I feel bad for Princess right now, because she is now at risk to get her leg fixed." I said to them.
" Are you boys even listening to me?" I asked them.
"Yep we're listening to you right now." Jake said to me as he putted on his earbuds to listen to his music while Cubby was texting Stormy.
"HEY!" I said to them as they jumped.
"Did you say something Izzy?" Jake asked me as I slapped my forehead.
" Forget it, I'm not repeating it." I said to him.
"You want to know what I said you want to know what I said?" I asked him.
"I said that I am feeling bad for our daughter right now, because she is now at risk to get her leg fixed." I said to him.
"Oh sorry, I didn't listen." Jake said to me.
"Guys I am now getting really worried about Princess." I said to them while I was pacing back and forth.
" Izzy, calm down, she's going to be fine." Jake said to me.
"But what if she's not fine Jake, what if they take 40 or 30 years to fix her leg?" I asked him.
"Izzy, you're being overdramatic calm down. They're not going to do her leg for 30 or 40 years. That's really really far away from now Izzy. Just relax okay they're going to be done hopefully." Jake said to me.
" Why would you say that?" I see him.
"I'm only trying to help you, calm down." Jake said to me.
"Thanks for trying to calm me down Jake, but I can manage it myself." I said to him.
"Wait what Izzy?" Jake asked me.
"Nevermind." I said to him.
"Izzy how about I take you on a walk to calm you down." Jake suggested to me.
"Yes, please." I said to him as we went on a walk.
As we were on a walk, Jake was holding my hand as we walked around the hospital.
"Are you feeling better yet Izzy?" Jake asked me.
"A little." I said to him.
"Good!" Cuz I don't want my Izzy feeling sad." Jake said to me as I gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"Thanks Jake!" I said to him.
"Anytime Izzy." Jake said to me.
"Hey, ate you okay?" Jake asked me.
"Yeah, I'm fine just a little dizzy." I said to him.
" Should we go back?" Jake asked me.
" No no, I'm fine I'm fine Jake I'm fine." I said to him.
"Okay." Jake said to me as we continued walking.
"Izzy, I'm taking you back." Jake said to me.
"Jake, I don't want to go back." I said to him.
"You just said you feel a little bit dizzy we're going back, and I'll get the doctor." Jake said to me as we went back to Princess's room.
Jake's POV
As we arrived back to Princess's room, I sat Izzy down on the couch.
"Izzy, I'm going to see if one of the nurses can take you blood pressure." I said to her.
"Jake, I'm fine." Izzy said to me.
" I just want to make sure that you are, I'm getting the nurse!" I said to her as I went to the front desk.
" Excuse me can I have a nurse to room 300? My girlfriend Izzy, says that she feels dizzy." I asked the lady.
" Sure thing Jake!" The lady said to me as I got back to room 300 to check up on Izzy.
"How you doing?" I asked her.
"Jake, I'm sweating." Izzy said to me as I got a small towel to wipe the sweat off her forehead.
"Izzy did you eat anything today?" I asked her.
"No, I didn't eat anything all day." Izzy said to me as the nurse came in with the blood pressure.
"Hello Miss Green, your boyfriend said that you feel dizzy?" The nurse asked her.
"Yeah, a little bit." Izzy said to the nurse.
"I'm just going to take your blood pressure okay to see if it's low." The nurse said to her as she started to take Izzy's blood pressure as Cubby came in the room.
"Oh my God! Jake, is izzy okay?" Cubby asked me.
"Where have you been?" I asked him.
"I figured since you two went for a walk, I decided to go get something to eat." Cubby said to me.
"Anyway, back to my question. Oh my God Jake, is Izzy okay?" Cubby asked me.
" She will be don't worry." I said to her as the nurse was for checking her blood pressure.
"Well I'm done here." The nurse said to us as she walked over.
"How is she?" I asked her.
"her blood pressure is a little bit low, but make sure she drinks plenty of water, if she doesn't drink, she could pass out.
"I will make sure she will drink a lot of water." I said to the nurse.
"Thank you Jake!" The nurse said to me as she left the room.
"Okay Izzy, I'm going to get you a bottle of water I'll be back." I said to her as I went to the vending machine to get her a bottle of water.
As I came back with the bottle of water, for Izzy I have it to her as she immediately drunk it.
"Izzy, don't drink the whole bottle at once." I said to her as she stopped.
"Sorry." Izzy said to me.
"Izzy, didn't you say that you didn't eat anything today?" I asked her.
" Yeah, why Jake?" Izzy asked me.
" I'm going to get you some cookies." I said to her.
" Chocolate please." Izzy said to me.
"I know witch cookies." I said to her as I went to the cafeteria.
Cubby's POV
"Izzy, why didn't you eat anything today?" I asked her.
"I wasn't hungry." Izzy said to me.
"Izzy, you know you need to eat." I said to her.
" I know that Cubby!" Izzy said to me.
"Then you should know, that eating is important." I said to her.
"Yes I know." Izzy said to me as Jake came back.
"Here you go Izzy!" Jake said to her as he handed her chocolate chip cookies.
"Thanks Jakey!" Izzy said to him as she kissed him on the cheek.
Jake's POV
As I went to check Izzy's forehead, it was a little bit warm as the nurse came in with a tray of food for her.
"Oh excuse me nurse is this food for Izzy?" I asked her.
"Yes it is Jake, make sure she eats it." The nurse said to me.
" Okay I'll make sure she eats it." I said to the nurse as she left.
But I was wasn't looking, Izzy and I heard a loud burp.
"Excuse me." Cubby said as we both saw food tray empty.
" Cubby the food was supposed to be Izzy." I said to him.
" Oh, sorry I was hungry." Cubby said to me.
"Why didn't you go to the vending machine grab something to eat?" I asked him.
"Cuz I ran out of money." Cubby said to me as I took out my wallet and gave five dollars to spend.
"I gave you $5 to go buy something to eat." I said to him.
"Sweet thanks Jake!" Cubby said as he ran out of the room.
As Cubby came back with more food, the nurse came back with a new test of food for Izzy. But as Cubby was about to take it, I hit his hand away from it.
"Ouch that hurt Jake." Cubby said said to me as I waved my finger at him in the word no.
"Don't you think about it Cubby." I said to him as I took the tray and brought it to my girlfriend Izzy.
"I can't have one itsy-bitsy bite?" Cubby asked me.
"No." I said to him.
"Aww man." Cubby said to me.
"Cubby you have your own food." I said to him.
"Aww man." Cubby said to me.
"Jake, I don't feel so good." Cubby said to me as he was clutching his stomach.
"Cubby, why don't you come lay down on my lap." Izzy said to him as Cubby laid down on Izzy's lap.
"Jake Izzy, my stomach hurts." Cubby said to us.
"Do you want Jake to get the nurse Cubby?" Izzy asked him.
"Yes please." Cubby said to her as I went to go get the nurse.
As I came back with the nurse, she started to check on Cubby's stomach while I stood next to Izzy.
"Is Cubby going to be okay nurse?" I asked her.
"He's going to be fine, he just has a stomach ache." The nurse said to me.
" Oh thank God, I thought it was something serious." Izzy said to the nurse.
" Make sure he get plenty of rest." The nurse said to us.
"Will do thank you!" I said to the nurse as she left the room.
After the nurse left, Cubby fell asleep as I covered him up with a blanket.
"So it's just you and me Izzy, what do you want to do?" I asked her.
"Jake I'm getting tired." Izzy said to me as she started to yawn.
So, I picked up Cubby and places him on the chair for a second as Izzy got off the couch, I turned it into a bed for the both of them.
"I don't know the couch can turn into a bed Jake." Izzy said to me.
" Me neither but it's cool." I said to her as she got on one side on the couh bed, and I placed the now sleeping Cubby on the other side as I covered both of them with a big long warm blanket.
"Sweet dreams my pirate crew." I said to them as I have each other then a kiss on the forehead.
As Izzy and Cubby were sleeping, I decided to go for a walk around the hospital. As I was walking, Dr. Lynch came by.
"Oh Jake, just the person I wanted to see it's about your daughter Princess." Dr. Lynch said to me.
"Is she okay?" I asked him.
" She's fine, they're just finishing up in the operating room." Dr. Lynch sent to me as my eyes grew wide.
" That's fantastic thank you." I said to him.
"You're welcome! I'll let you know if there's any more updates on her." Dr. Lynch said to me.
"Thanks!" I said to him as he left.
as I immediately ran back into the room, I started to dance.
"Yes yes yes yes yes!" I said to myself as I woke up Cubby and Izzy.
"Jake what's with the dancing?" Izzy asked me.
"Well, I got some good news Izzy!" I said to her.
"Well, dr. Lynch just gave me an update about our daughter oh, and he said that they are just finishing up her surgery!" I said to her.
" Well it's about, time. wake me up when we get to see her." Izzy said to me as she went back to sleep.
"Okay." I whispered to her.
