I caught that glimpse of fear in her ice blue eyes when she looked over her shoulder. She knew someone or something was there. She felt it. She felt me. But she didn't see me. I'm watching her at a safe distance, following behind as she's walking home.
Little does she know this is the last time she'll ever walk this road.
She pushes her shoulders up. Out of fear maybe, or maybe to keep more warm. It is Winter and it is cold tonight. Big snowflakes are falling and we're both leaving footprints in the snow as we walk. Footprints that will soon disappear along with her tan colored coat and the grey hat covering her ears and most of her platinum white hair. My icy princess. A princess for me, the demon king. I am Finn Balor, and you will fall to my might.
Little does she know I am there.
I wonder what her name is. I don't know her. I will never know her. I won't even pretend that I might be able to love her in another world far away if we had met under other circumstances. I am not a dreamer. I am a demon.
Little does she know she's about to dance with the devil tonight.
Ishild. That's her name tonight. That's the name I'm willing to give her. It's a strong and fitting name for this icy princess on this cold Winter's night. Ishild, Germanic, fighting the ice battle.
Little does she know she's about to fight the ice battle and lose.
She turns a corner and I can't help but smirk. She's going down a darker road. It's more quiet. She'll be able to hear me but not before it's too late. Not before I reach her. Not before I put my hands on her to silence her forever.
Little does she know this is her final moment alive.
I speed up. I walk closer and closer to her. I can't wait to see that fear in those ice blue eyes again. I will be the last thing she'll ever see. The last voice she'll ever hear. Her last taste of life. I bet she tastes so sweet as I suck the life out of her. They always do.
Street light number six is out. That's my spot. Hidden in the darkness where no one will see me and no one will hear her. My icy princess Ishild, oh how far you have come only to fall tonight to a demon.
I am here.
I am close.
I am demon.
Surprise, princess.
