Subject 6. that's what they called him. He didn't remember his name. Nor where he came from. All that he knew was that he had an experimental type of nanosuit that was even more advanced then the other members of raptor team. Having a power core of cold fusion in his nanosuit, it literally gave his suit infinite energy.
He stared at the ruined city of new york. The ceph invaded and raptor team had struggled to defend the city. Humanity did however manage to survive. Subject 6 turned around to look at his commanding officer. "commander." was all that he said. The man glared at him "subject six, for the crimes of desertion, disobeying of higher command and refusal to obey a higher officer your hereby put on ice. Effective immediately." 6 knew there was something more to it. He looked intently at the face of his commander.
The man tried to convey the message "don't try to push it son. It's better if you don't know.". 6 nodded and followed his commander. "you will be put under stasis in a cryo-tube where you can't harm anyone else until the need is discovered that you should be needed." 6 nodded once again and stepped up into the cryo-tube. 6 suddenly heard Second speak "engaging heart freeze protocol to preserve suit operative."
time flew by and humanity advanced several leaps and bounds. It was now 2552 and john was walking at the front of silver team following katherine halsey. "what got the doctor so excited." vannak asked simply. "didn't you hear vannak. They found something big." riz told her fellow spartan 2. Katherine stared at the cryo pod. "this is the answers to all of our problems." she whispered to herself. She stared at number. A big number 6 on it. "GET THIS POD OPEN NOW!" she shouted.
A voice rang out over the pod chamber "REACTIVATING NANOSUIT OPERATIVE. ENGAGING THAWING PROTOCOLS." steam came out of the pod's top. John rushed forward and pushed the woman into the arms of Kai-125. "SPARTANS ARM WEAPONS!" john barked. Immediately the spartans trained their weapons on the pod.
6 walked out and scanned the room. "primary threats spotted. Targeting weak points." 6 saw all the weak points in the soldiers armour. "year?" 6 said simply. Katherine walked up slowly as she saw 6 watching her like a hawk. "the year is 2552 and I am katherine halsey of the unsc. Vannak shifted slightly and 6 exploaded like a loaded gun. He was so fast that even the spartan's couldn't react. "maximum strength." 6 six armour glowed red and he sent vannak flying into the wall. "DON'T HARM HIM!" katherine shouted.
The spartans attacked but 6 ducked underneath the swing of riz and punched her straight in the face cracking her helmet like a mellon, he sweeped her legs from out of under her and punched her in the chest. 6 walked up towards kai 125 emotionless. Kai took an involuntairy step back, her heart racing like crazy. Her hands trembled.
Katherine rushed forward and put a hand on 6's arm. "it's okey." she whispered. 6 stared at halsey but slowly he nodded. Later at halsey's lab. "this is audiolog 1283 of katherine halsey. I will soon start the interview with the subject who call's himself 6 or subject 6. potential amensia or memory block, will have to see what the scans tell me." katherine halsey said into the micro-phone. 6 walked into the lab decloacking. "ma'am." he said slowly.
Katherine smiled warmly "6. it's good to see you." 6 suddenly had a flash of memory. A woman who looked like katherine holding his hand when he was younger. 6 walked up towards the table staring at the sniper rifle. Katherine smiled "go on." 6 instantly went to work. He put the sniper together in under 30 seconds. He raised it. Put it down again, realigned the optical scope and then raised it back to his eyesight.
"optical scope improved, visual range increased by 24 % zoom." second spoke monotonly in his voice. Katherine stared shocked at 6 "subject seems to have inate memories of military training and familiar feelings towards me. This deserves further more research." 6 turned around to the mirror "are they able to see through." katherine nodded and she spoke "they are your team now. Let me introduce them properly this time."
she then turned towards the glass and spoke "you may enter now." the spartans walked in some in different shapes then the others. "i believe you already meet vannak." the man nodded and spoke "that's some suit you got there." he held his ribs and continued "shattered three of my ribs with that throw." 6 just stared at him. Katherine then motioned to the red head "i think your familiar with riz 0-28." riz had a bandage across her nose.
She glared at him. 6 just looked back and didn't say anything. "then we have kai-125." 6 shifted his eyes towards the blonde and kai swallowed and took an involuntairy step backwards again. "and finally john-117 who is your squad leader." 6 turned towards john and said "sir." katherine swallowed nervously and said "well that's it. I think I will let you get acquainted." john nodded and started to walk towards the area where the spartans was spending their downtime at. "this is your bunk. What should I call you." six stared at the spartan and just pointed to his number on the breast plate of his nanosuit. "you don't remember your name?" john asked confused. Six shook his head to confirm john's question. Kai swallowed stepped forward "you're probably gonna regain your memories with time." she added hoping to strike up a conversation.
6 just shrugged and walked up towards a pistol and pointed at it. "yes you can have it." john said and nodded towards 6. 6 walked over to his bunk bed and started to clean it. "he's even wierder then ous." vannak said to riz. She just grumhped and returned to her bunk. 6 laid down and stared at the ceiling.
He woke up the very next morning at 4 am and started exercising. Why he did it he didn't know. It just felt familiar. He was currently lifting about 150 pounds in squats when the rest of the spartans woke up. He let the barbell drop to the floor with a loud slam. The spartans jumped. They started to do their exercises. 6 finished his workout with the treadmill. He walked up and put it at 20 miles per hour which was essentially just a slight jog for him.
Kai walked up to the treadmill beside him and gave him a smile "excited for your first mission,6?" she asked friendly. 6 just ignored her and continued onwards. He then put it at 80 miles an hour and started running at a light pace. 6 found a old soundtrack of powerwolf in his suit's databanks. Demon's is a girl's best friend. He just put it on and after 20 more minutes upped it to 120 miles an hour. John stared at him and asked "cortana, can you give me his heartbeat." cortana was silent for a minute "i don't understand it chief. He's not even trying."
katherine had a drone in the corner of the hall staring at the datapad not believing what she was seeing. After about 20 minutes of constant treadmill did 6 finish his workout and walk up towards the data bank terminal. He stared at the screen silently watching all of the information about the history that had passed during the time he was interred in the cryo pod.
Cortana coughed nervously as she stood beside him "your squad leader has called a meeting. You should go to the squad." 6 stared at her. "just though you should know." and with that she vanished and reapeared beside chief. 6 walked forward and joined the spartans. It was kind of comical seeing a normally average height guy standing between four spartans. "our objective is to eliminate any covenant threat on madrogal and secure survivors if possible." john said. 6 waited. Staring at the map he looked up at chief.
After john finished did 6 stare at the armoury as they were arming up. He walked around tracing his hand across weapons of various forms. The spartans just looked at him. 6 picked up a submachine gun and a pistol. The spartans just shrugged. Time passed and they were hovering over medrogal. "i don't know if 6 is ready for something this big chief." cortana said loudly to john.
6 jumped down from the ramp and slammed into the ground creating a small crater. "skeletal structure damaged. Repairing and upgrading skeleton." the suit computer SECOND spoke. 6 stood up and looked around and found a good vantage point which he made note of. He followed the spartans and stood watch at the entrance at the tent. He noticed that john and kai walked of to talk. "second activate sound filtration filters." he spoke to the suit computer. "filters engaged."
john turned towards kai as he removed his helmet and said "kai, remove your helmet." kai asked confused "why john." john just pressed "just do it." kai removed her helmet and john asked "kai, when did you remove your pellet." kai smiled and said "just shortly after seeing you remove yours." john sighed "kai.." kai pressed on however "no I get it john. Before all we saw was target's and missions. Now I feel things. The more I feel the more.." john interrupted her "i can't clear you for battle kai. You will return to dr keyes and do a full check up once were back at reach."
kai turned back and stared at john hurt "if I am dangerous after removing my pellet. What makes that you then. Or 6 for that matter. For all we know, he can be a sleeper agent from the covenant. The suit is certainly something they could have made." and with that did she walk back towards the tent. "she is right you know. We don't know much about 6 and you aren't combat tested either." 6 tuned them out and followed the soldiers into the briefing tent. He didn't really listen much to what riz said about the objetives but focused more on the surrounding soldiers.
They were in his eyes grously overrestimated and undertrained. Six walked out and stared at the sky "anomaly detected. Space continuem disrupted." six saw the alien aircrafts shot out of nowhere and attack the base camp. Six noticed chief and jogged up towards him. A marine rushed up and gave chief his assault rifle and chief said "marine, get all of the non-combatants into the cave." the marine shouted "YES CHIEF."
they reached captain keyes and the captain spoke "CHIEF IT'S HALF A CLICK UP NORTH TO THE HALSEY AND YOU WILL BE RUNNING STRAIGHT AT THEM!" chief nodded and said "UNDERSTOOD." he then turned towards then and spoke "RIZ, VANNAK WITH ME, SIX YOUR WITH KAI GIVING OUS COVER!" kai who had ran up towards the chief and nodded as she heard this. Six however stared at chief and cortana said to the chief "i think that he doesn't like that order chief." john spoke loudly "you don't have to like the orders just do them."
six stared out of the area while taking potshots which was really headshots on various covenant soldiers that got to close. Kai shouted "MORE BANSHEE'S, INBOUND!" while she was shooting her sniper rifle. Six jumped down and walked back towards the base. He found a iron rod that he liked and balked back "maximum strength engaged." second said loudly and six's armour glowed red. He pulled back and sent the rod flying straight towards a banshee. The poor ship exploaded into nothingness. Six suddenly felt something hit him in the leg. He looked down and turned towards the offending being that had caused a needle round to impact on his leg. The round shattered like glass.
Six remembered vaugely that the little terrified creature that was infront of him was called an ungoy. "EEEH! HUMIE NO HURT KIB KIB." the unggoy turned to run but six grabbed it's back-pack tube of methane and curshed the gas transmogrifier, grabbed hold of the poor alien and hurled the sod straight into a couple of kig-yar.
Six just watched as the unggoy panicked but it was too late as the small alien tried to remove his container but it just exploaded into a lot of pieces along side the other body parts. Six looked around when he heard an explosion. "miranda keyes are in danger. Ploating optimal route to destination." second spoke.
Six shot of like a rocket and ran towards the cliff side. "maximum strength engaged." six jumped half way up the cliff and with another heave did he clear the rock face. He rushed forward towards the door of the ship, ripped it of and walked up to the trapped miranda keyes. He shifted the pillar easily enough and lifted miranda up onto his shoulders.
He walked out of the ship and walked towards the base of operation. Katherine halsey ran towards them. She took miranda from him and rushed away. Six stared out at the battle. It was winding down now and there wasn't much to do really. Six helped where he was needed. Not that there was much to do for six.
He returned towards the crater. He saw kai lying on the ground surrounded by her fellow spartans. Six walked up and noticed kai being wounded. He walked up towards chief and stared at him. "help ous carry her towards the infermary tent." chief spoke. Six hoisted kai without problem onto his shoulder and he walked back into the tent. "preparing plasma burn treatment guide for use on subject." second stated and six started to grab the tools that he needed.
"STOP FIGHTING IT KAI!" riz said forcefully while trying to hold down kai. Six just punched her straight into the face knocking her out and continued to work. He worked in silence while the other spartans were watching him. He finished the treatment and put the tools away and nodded towards the nurses to take her away.
Hours later and six stood leaning against the wall while listening towards kai and john's discussion. "does riz and vannak know?" she asked chief. "they will. Once they ready." kai leaned back "everything she told ous was a lie." kai said with a tear in her throat. "everything." john spoke "not everything. We're still spartans." kai turned towards him "it's some kind of anasthesia getting punched by a post human 2022 super soldier." she tried to joke but then she turned serious "my parents thought that I were dead. John I. I have to." john put a calming hand on her shoulder "i am working on it."
"halsey wiped the records." he finished. Kai leaned back and stared up at the ceiling "my god." she said "what about six. What is his thoughts on this. Does he see ous as." john turned around and spoke "he doesn't really speak much. If at all really." john stood up and walked up towards the dooorway and turned towards kai "get better 125. i'm gonna need ya." six stared at john who just nodded and walked away, he stared at the resting kai "hormonal flux read. Suit operative appearantly feels attraction towards the subject." six looked at kai. Was he starting to regain his memories. He just had to wait and see.
