Chapter 78 Jake starts pacing around
Jake's POV
As we were waiting for some updates on about Izzy, I started to pace around thinking about her. What if she didn't make it? The reason I asked myself these questions I'd because I didn't want to hear any bad news about Izzy. I just want her here and safe.
"Daddy, I want Mommy!" Princess said to me.
"I know you want Mommy, we want her ad well, bit we just have to be patient." I said to her.
"Jake do you think Izzy is going to be okay?" Cubby asked me.
"Yeah of course she will be Cubby. If I know Izzy, she's going to make it." I said to him.
"Okay, Jake, thanks!" Cubby said to me.
"You're welcome Cubby." I said to him.
As we were still waiting for updates on Izzy, a nurse came in.
"Hello, my name is nurse Samantha, and I am here to give you an update on Isabella Rose Green." Nurse Samantha said to us.
"So, she's still in surgery, and it will be three hours." Nurse Samantha said to us.
"Okay thanks nurse Samantha!" I said to her.
"I'll give you more updates when their is more updates." Nurse Samantha said to me as she left.
After nurse Samantha left, I was now worried about her.
"Okay I have totally lost it." I said to them.
"Jake what did you lose?" Cubby asked me.
"My patients." I said to him.
"Hey, don't worry Jake, Izzy is going to be fine." Cubby said to me.
"Thanks Cubby!" I said to him.
"So, while we are waiting, what do you guys want to do now?" I asked them.
"Well, we can go to the gift shop, and buy her a get well gift." Cubby said to me.
"Are you nuts? See has enough gifts." I said to him.
"Well that sucks." Cubby said in disappointment.
"Well, how about we just make her a get well soon card." I said to him.
"Okay!" Cubby said to me as I grabbed paper and crayons as handed Cubby and Princess paper as they Cubby drew a picture and princess just doodled.
"Jake I miss Izzy." Cubby said to me.
"I miss her too but she is going to be okay." I said to him.
"Mommy, I want Mommy." Princess said to us.
"Princess I know you want your mommy, trust me I want Izzy really badly here in my arms, but you need to be patient." I said to her.
"Cubby, what did you draw on a card?" I asked him.
"I drew a picture of you and Izzy getting married 20 years later." Cubby said to me.
"That's so sweet, where is Princess in the picture?" I asked him.
"I didn't want to lose space, so I just didn't want to draw my niece." Cubby said to me.
"Fair enough." I said to him.
"Princess want Mommy!" Princess said to me.
"Princess for the last time, you need to be patient, your mother is still in surgery. You can't rush them." I said to her.
"Anything else Jake?" Cubby asked me.
"Nope." I said to him.
"Oh, come on Jake, there's gotta be something about Izzy when she gets out of surgery." Cubby said to me.
" I'm telling you there's nothing, I gave all the possiblitys about what is going to happen to Izzy, once she gets out of surgery. I told him.
"Okay okay calm down Jake, it's not the end of the world." Cubby said to me.
"I'm sorry, I just want Izzy, to come out of surgery." I said to him.
"Mr. Hutchinson, your girlfriend is out of surgery." Nurse Samantha said to us.
"Hey, my wish came true yay!" I said with excitement.
"Wait a second it has been 3 hours already?" Cubby asked me.
"Yes Cubby. Let's go see Izzy!" I sent to him as I picked up princess and we went to the recovery room to see her.
Cubby's POV
As Jake Princess and I went inside the recovery room, we saw Izzy sleeping peacefully.
"Aww, Izzy looks so cute when she's sleeping Cubby." Jake said to me.
"Princess cute, not Mommy." Princess said to me.
"Princess are you jealous?" I asked her.
"Princess cute, not Mommy." Process said to Jake.
"Princess, both you and Izzy are cute." Jake said to her.
"Okay Daddy." Princess said to him as he placed Princess on her bed as Izzy cuddled up with her.
As we watched Izzy sleep, Jake and I placed our get well cards on her bed.
"I hope Izzy likes the card we made her Jake!" I said to him.
"Don't worry she'll love it!" Jake said to me.
" Bathroom." Princess said to us.
" Coming would you mind taking princess to the bathroom?" Jake asked me.
" Why do I have to take her to the bathroom? You are the father you should take her." I said to him.
" I want to be here when Izzy, wakes up." Jake said to me.
"Fine, I'll take her to the bathroom. But when I come back, she better be awake." I said to him as I picked Princess up and took her to the bathroom while Jake stays with Izzy.
Jake's POV
One Cubby was taking Princess to the bathroom, I sat down on the chair holding Izzy's hand.
"Izzy, it's Jake please wake up we all miss you. I miss you." I whispered into her ear.
After I said those words to her, I heard her groaning a little bit as she started to wake up.
"Jake? What happened?" Izzy asked me.
"Izzy, you had your appendix taken out." I said to her.
"Where's Cubby?" Izzy asked me.
" He'll be back, he took Princess to the bathroom." I said to her.
"Okay, I'm going back to sleep." Izzy said to me as she went back to sleep.
Once I saw Cubby coming back with Princess, he was not happy.
"Jake she hasn't woken up yet? come on." Cubby asked me.
"She did wake up, but then she went back to sleep." I said to him.
"Oh, okay." Cubby said to me as he placed Princess back on her bed.
As Izzy woke back up, she still felt groggy.
"Hi guys! How's it going?" Izzy asked us.
"Mommy!" Princess said to her as she kissed her hand.
"Hi sweetie!" Izzy said to her daughter.
"The wheels on the bus, go round and round." Izzy said while singing.
" Okay, that was cute!" Jake said to her as Princess clapped her little hands.
"Yay Mommy, sing more!" Princess said to her.
"Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O!" Izzy saying to princess while still groggy.
"Jake you got me a stuffed Cubby doll?" Izzy asked me as she was holding Cubby I'm her arms.
"Hahaha Izzy, that's the real Cubby, he is not a doll." I said to her.
"Yeah what he said, and you're kind of choking me." Cubby said to her.
"Oh I'm going to love you I'm going to squeeze you I'm going to take care of this doll." Izzy said to Cubby as she was squeezing him like really squeezing him.
As I took Cubby our of Izzy's arms before she killed him to death, Cubby was breathing for air.
"You okay Cubby?" I asked him.
"Yeah I'm fine, I'm alive now, thanks to you." Cubby said to me.
"You're welcome little bro, because I did not want you to die." I said to him.
"Thanks big bro!" Cubby sod to me.
" Izzy say your sorry Cubby, for trying to choke him." I said to her.
"Sorry, Cubby." Izzy said to him in a groggy tone.
"It's okay!" Cubby sis to her.
"Jake Cubby what happened?" Izzy asked us.
"Like I said before, you got your appendix taken out." I said to her.
"Okay!" Izzy said to me.
"Why did I get my appendix out?" Izzy asked us.
" Because you didn't eat anything, and you said you felt dizzy while we were walking. That's when I called the nurse over to check your pulse yesterday, and she said I blood sugar was low." I said to her.
"I do feel hungry." Izzy said to me.
As Izzy said that she felt hungry, I went to the front desk of the recovery room, and ask the nurse if Izzy can eat anything.
"Excuse me nurse, my girlfriend Izzy just woke up, can she eat anything?" I asked her.
" yes but due to her surgery, she can only eat soft food right now." The nurse said to me as she gave me you Jello and pudding.
"Thank you!" I said to the nurse as I went back to Izzy.
Once I arrived back to Izzy's bed, she immediately took the jello and pudding out of my hand and starting to eat it.
"You're welcome!" I said to her as I sat back down on the chair.
"Izzy, you could have broken Jake's hand." Cubby said to her.
"Cubby she would never break my hand." I said to him.
"She could have." Cubby said to me.
"Cubby, she's groggy, what was I supposed to do? Snatch it back." I asked him.
"Yes!" Cubby said to me.
"Cubby I am not doing that oh, she already ate the pudding and Jell-O." I said to him.
"I'm done." Izzy said to me as she just threw it on the floor.
"Izzy, no littering." I said to her as I picked up the two empty containers and threw it in the trash.
"Don't litter, Izzy." I said to her as I sat back down on the chair.
As Dr. Lynch came over, he started to explain is his surgery to me and Cubby.
"Well I see that Izzy is finally awake, Jake Cubby may I please speak to you?" Dr. Lynch said to us as we walked over with him to the hallway before Izzy said this to Dr. Lynch.
"Funny haircut, you got a funny haircut." Izzy said to him as cubby and I laughed a little bit.
"I am so sorry about her dr. Lynch, she still under anesthesia." I said to him as we we're already out out of the recovery room, and into the hallway.
"It's okay. anyway, her surgery was a complete success we finally got her appendix out on time before she died." Dr. Lynch said to us.
" Okay, Izzy is going to eat soft foods for a while." Dr. Lynch said to us.
"Okay this is really expecting, that Izzy, had surgery done as well." Cubby said to us.
"Yes it was an expecting, but I didn't want Izzy to die Cubby." I said to him.
" Jake's right Cubby, if we didn't get her appendix out on time, she would have died." Dr. Lynch said to him.
"I can't ever imagine a life without Izzy." I said to the both of them.
"And, it's a good thing you saved your girlfriend on Time Jake." Dr Lynch said to me as I smiled.
As Dr. Lynch left and us returning to Izzy's bed, we saw that Izzy fell asleep along with Princess.
"Aww, look Cubby, Princess and Izzy fell asleep." I said to him as we both looked at them sleeping.
"Jake, I'm happy that Izzy is okay, and alive." Cubby said to me as I nodded in agreement.
As Cubby and I were watching our two angles sleep, a nurse came to take Izzy back to her room, as we followed.
Cubby's POV
Once we arrived in Izzy's hospital room, the nurse parked it on the wall and left.
"Thanks!" I said to the nurse said she gave us a thumbs up and then left.
"Gee, I hope we can leave this place and go back home sooner Jake." I said to him.
" Don't worry Cubby, will be able to go home soon, just be patient." Jake said to me.
" Thanks, Jake!" I said to him while giving him a big hug.
"You're welcome!" Jake said to me.
