Alternate shinobi universe where both Madara and Sakura live in the same timeline and just have three years age gap, Madara being the older one.

This will just be a bunch of lighthearted one-shots describing how they'll get to know each other and fall in love (in order). Possible smut in later chapters so this could be for mature audiences.

Disclaimer: I'm not very good at English, so you might notice some grammar mistakes. Ignore that and just enjoy the fic :) Also, lots of cursing. Kinda just how my vocabulary works, sorry :p

Run. Run. Run. Run. She was running and hopping over the forest trees trying to chase something, or someone. She couldn't tell, she didn't get a good look at it. It was fast, so damn fast that she only got to see how small it was and the color of its fur.

Twice smaller than her definitely, and judging from the several sheds of fur she found on her lap, it was an orange little creature.

Her stomach started growling. Damn it, she cursed to herself. That thief stole her lunch! Her damn lunch! How could a small creature run faster than her, an actual kunoichi? Could it be a shinobi creature? Perhaps a dog or a cat? If it was, it would've been more civilized, damn it!

She was just minding her own business sitting under a tree during her break resting and reading her medical book before opening her lunch bag when a sudden pressure of tiny little feet crawled on her lap and grabbed her lunch so quickly before she could even get a look at it! Just like the speed of light!

She had been anticipating to eat it, she prepared sushi rolls last night, her favorite damn food, and it was special to her because she rarely got the time to make her mother's special version of sushi. Only for a damn thief to steal it?

Then, before she could stop her momentum, she ran over a bunch of tree branches curling around one another which made her lose her balance and fall off the tree.

Thanks to her years of training as a ninja, she was still able to get on her feet before she could hit the ground, but before she could hop over the tree again, she felt a sharp pain overwhelming her arms and legs. She got so many cuts from sharp twigs! What the hell?

Could this day get any worse?

She doesn't have time to heal herself, not now at least.

She hopped over a tree branch again and destroyed the curling branches which made her fall off the ground earlier out of annoyance, then she started running again, hoping to catch up to that thief.

When she reached the end of the woods, she is faced by a field crowded with unusually tall, massive, and colorful flowers towering over her height. It was a rather beautiful sight. Romantic too. She doesn't think she's ever been in this part of the village before.

Ino, her best friend and the owner of the Yamanaka flower shop, would gasp if she sees this place, it's just much better than her family's flower field, she thought.

Then, she saw the silhouette of the creature, it was sprinting through the field, still she couldn't tell what it was.

She followed it again, feeling terrible that she had to step over so many small beautiful flowers just growing to be as tall as its neighbors, but she will not give up until she gets to catch that thief and have her damn sushi rolls and—,

Before she could stop her momentum again, she collided onto a tall person who only looked at her direction as she ran towards him, both falling on the ground with her on top of the stranger.

"Oww!" He rubbed his head.

"Holy shit! I'm sorry! I'm really sorry!"

She quickly sat up, ignoring the snarls from the creature being held by the boy between her lap as she just stared at him in disbelief.

His face had gotten more masculine, and his jaw became more sharp. His spiky black hair had gotten so long too, much longer than hers. Actually, it's not even comparable since she has a mid length bob cut, meanwhile the boy in front of her has a long dark mane that could probably reach his hips. He became so much more gorgeous than the last time she saw him three years ago.

She also noticed how drastic his clothing choices have changed. He's wearing a traditional dark blue high-collared Uchiha robes, a white belt around his waist, and a pair of black gloves much like hers. His new style is different and old-fashioned compared to what he used to wear. She rarely sees the Uchihas wear this type of clothing anymore, so it's strange that he would wear one now.

"Sasuke-kun?"

He sat up, still gripping the creature with his fist, she couldn't even look at the creature even if it was snarling loudly. She was just hypnotized by Sasuke's transformation that she didn't realize she was still sitting on top of his crotch until she had to crawl away from him so he could balance himself.

"Sasuke? That brat? That bastard? He's back? Where is he?"

"Oh I didn't mean- oh. Right. I thought he was you!"

"Tch. Why do people always mistake that brat for me? He looks much more like my younger brother! They are practically twins!" He said annoyedly, as he laid the orange creature on his lap and petted it as it finally calmed down.

"I- well. I haven't seen him since he left the village to train with Orochimaru so I thought he'd grow to look like you-"

"You look rather strange yourself,"

"Huh?"

He checked her out up and down with a smile forming on his lips.

"Pink hair. Green eyes. That's very rare. You look foreign but you're a leaf shinobi." He explained, pointing at her red forehead protector she uses as a hairband.

"Uh well, my father has a darker shade of pink hair than me and my mom has a blonde hair, so that could be-"

"You look beautiful."

A rush of blood started to form on her cheeks. She wished he wouldn't notice it but the noon sun was strikingly bright that he definitely could see it.

"Eh?"

He stood up from his feet and lend his hand on her. She grabbed it as she stood on her feet as well.

"My name is Madara. And you are?" He asked, still holding her hand while carrying the creature purring on his other arm.

"Sakura."

"How fitting. Of course that would be your name. Cherry blossom." He said charmingly, as he rubbed his thumb across her knuckles, making her blush again. She quickly released his hand out of shyness.

"Yeah."

"And were you chasing after this cat? I saw it running around and felt your chakra so I thought I'd help."

"Right! Oh it's a cat, how did you catch it? It's so unusually fast."

"Must be some sort of drugs injected on regular cats to make them steal other civilians' possessions. I've heard this case from the police force earlier. Indeed, they are fast. But I am faster." He said smugly.

He petted the cat again as it purred on his chest.

"It must really like you."

"I'm good with animals, yeah."

"And oh my lunch bag where is it? The cat stole it from me. Oh, there it is!"

She quickly reached the bag on the ground just behind where both of them fell and untied it to see if her bento box was still intact. Unfortunately, some of the sushi rolls were cluttered with the sauce all over the box and not as appetizing anymore.

"Oh no!" She whimpered.

He chuckled.

"Are those supposed to be sushi rolls?"

"Yeah. They were supposed to be more presentable but this cat had to steal my lunch. Damn it."

"Still looks edible to me."

"Do you- do you want to eat it with me?" She asked shyly.

His eyes perked up from her offer.

"You'll share your lunch with me?"

"Yeah. Why not? You helped me get it back."

The two left the strangely tall flower field and went toward a nearby tree to shade themselves from the sun, with Madara still holding the orange tabby cat in his arm.

"I've never been in this part of the village before. And I wander around a whole lot. The flowers are weirdly tall and humongous."

"That flower field used to not be there at all so you probably just didn't recognize this place. I used to come over here a lot to train by myself. The farmers only planted normal sized flowers, but something strange about its soil made anything you plant become bigger and taller."

"Oh. That is really weird. I should probably get some soil sample there later and examine it in the lab."

"Should I release the cat?"

"Well, I think we should give him some sushi so he can stop trying to steal my lunch. It must be hungry too."

"Okay."

Both of them sat under the tree and shared her lunch.

"How are you related to Sasuke-kun?"

"We're distant cousins. Our fathers are first cousins."

"Oh. Since you're a shinobi too, how come we've never stumbled upon each other before?"

"I've been in ANBU since I was 11."

"I see. Just like Itachi-san."

"Yeah. What about you? Are you close with the bastard Sasuke?"

"We were in the same team as Naruto. He also left the village to train with his Master, Jiraiya-sama. Kakashi-sensei used to be our team leader before he became the Hokage."

"Both of your teammates being trained by the sannins, huh."

"Yes. I am too, actually. I am the previous hokage's current apprentice."

"That explains the purple diamond on your forehead. You must be really good at destroying buildings and boulders."

She giggled.

"Perhaps."

"And medical ninjutsu?"

"Yes, it's what I'm the best at I believe."

"And since you're a medic, why don't you heal your wounds before it gets infected?"

"Eh? I forgot about this!" She gasped at herself and looked over at her fresh wounds. Her palms glowed of green as she healed herself.

"What happened to you exactly?"

"Well um. I kinda went over tree branches with lots of sharp twigs while I was hopping around the forest trees."

He chuckled.

"Clumsy for a kunoichi."

"I was really just hungry I couldn't concentrate on my surrounding, alright?"

Madara grabbed one of the sushi rolls and bit it, then giving the half on the tabby cat.

"This is actually quite good. Even if it's become a mess. I've never really tried this type of sushi roll before, the taste is more flavorful."

"My mom invented the recipe. I just recreated it last night. Thanks."

When the two finished Sakura's lunch, their stomachs growled at the same time. Both of them just laughed in unison from embarrassment.

"Guess my cluttered sushi rolls aren't enough for the three of us."

"Yeah. Want to grab some more lunch around the town?"

Her eyes widened by his offer, then she smiled at him.

"Okay."

"Alright. It's a date then."

"What?"

He stood up from the ground and let the cat finally go. It ran back to the flower field as the two watched over it in amusement. He smiled down at her widely and lend his hand to help her stand up from her feet.

"Let's go!"

He humorously ran away from her as she chased after him. She felt a sudden euphoria deep within her.

"Wait up!"

He may have a striking resemblance to Sasuke, but their personalities are quite different. Madara seemed more cheerful, loud, and flirty, which are all the opposites of Sasuke. She definitely wanted to get to know him more.

Maybe the cat was a blessing in disguise from kami after all.
