A/N: Hello! Sorry, I have been trying to work out how exactly to reply to your lovely reviews, but it's not letting me. Thank you for reading this silliness! It's pure indugence and getting over my smut hump from here on in to be quite honest! I'm trying to keep another project clean so SwanQueen is getting it. All of it! (My way of apologizing for not coming back and finishing up sooner... Enjoy!)
Emma got back to the apartment a little after eleven-thirty and clicked the door behind her quietly. Henry hadn't been too annoyed but Ava's father, Michael was a bit pissed. He softened when she stepped out of the car. She was the sheriff, after all. They gave him some story about a crisis in town and that was the matter settled.
"What was the crisis?" David was sat in the dark in the lounge and made Emma jump out of her skin.
"Oh, Jees Dad! You scared the hell out of me! No crisis. Meeting ran over."
"Emma, you don't have to lie to me. I know the meeting finished early tonight. One of Snow's colleagues dropped in afterwards. Henry called earlier to see what had happened, and Michael called me just now to let me know you'd both been there to pick him up. So I'll ask again, what's going on?"
Emma groaned. Of course Henry had called his grandpa when nobody showed up to collect him. She poured herself a glass of water and sat at the kitchen island. "Nothing to do with the town. Regina and I got talking and we didn't realize the time."
David snorted. "You didn't realize the time? What the hell were you talking about that could make Regina forget about Henry?"
Emma blushed crimson. "Uhm, magic stuff. She was training me, but you know how bad I suck at that. I guess we lost track of time."
David narrowed his eyes. "Magic stuff?" There was a long pause as he analyzed his daughter. "Okay, fair enough. Why are you training? Is there something I need to know about as Deputy?"
"No, Dad! I promise you, you'd be the first person I'd tell if there was anything going on, uhm, with the town. I need to train, that's all. It's never quiet enough around here to do that, so we're making the most of it." She felt so awful lying to him but she couldn't ever tell him the real reason. Ever. Henry got a similar story so it would at least corroborate if they cross-referenced.
"Alright, Emma. I'm heading to bed. Your mother and I leave at six. Do you want calling?"
"No it's fine. I'll see you on Sunday. Have a great trip."
David said goodnight and disappeared into his room leaving Emma to stew. Thank God they wouldn't be around this weekend to ask more questions. Only a week in and already harder to hide.
The next day, she was excited to put her detailed plans into action. Last night had been amazing and now she wondered if what she'd planned would live up to Regina's expectations. It was pretty tame compared to sexy sorcery. She was still sore from last night but in a nice way that only served to remind her how lucky she was.
She whistled on her way to the station and popped into Granny's for her morning coffee. There was no point in avoiding the place now Ruby knew, and she had missed her routine. She bumped into Regina coming out and her eyes went wide. "Morning, Madam Mayor."
"Good morning, Miss Swan. You're late for work " She smirked and shook her head at the woman.
"Yeah, I guess that means you are too."
Regina narrowed her eyes at her. "Yes well, as Mayor, I don't need to justify myself to anyone. Especially someone on my payroll."
Emma's lips pursed trying to hide her grin. She loved it when Regina was extra sassy. "Oh, I have something I need your help with down at the station this afternoon." She wiggled her eyebrows and watched Regina trying to keep a straight face.
"Why does that not surprise me. Honestly Sheriff, your deputy's been away less than twenty-four hours and you're already sinking under the pressure."
Emma put her hands out to the side. "I guess you better keep a closer eye on me then. Make sure I'm doing my job properly."
Regina smirked. "Just keep giving me reasons to punish you. I'll drop in at some point today, if I have an opening." She pushed past Emma and their magic sparked sending a shudder through both of them.
Emma shook it off and went up to place her order. Ruby shook her head. "I thought I was the worst in this town. I stand corrected."
Emma batted her with the laminated menu. "You have gotta keep those ears turned off."
"So, that's why you gave your Dad the day off, huh?"
"I'll just have a cappuccino and a muffin." Emma deliberately ignored the wolf's words and glued her eyes to the menu.
Ruby giggled. "I'm kinda jealous. You get all the fun in this town. I actually have to work a real job. Wanna swap?"
"Ha! I'd say in your dreams but I don't want you dreaming either."
Ruby pouted and disappeared off into the kitchen leaving Emma smirking to herself. She grabbed her order and flew out of the diner with even more bounce in her step.
Most of the day was a drag with nothing much to do except take the odd phone call and answer inquiries about some random, none sheriffy related apparent emergencies. She bounced a ball off the wall to while away the time. She never particularly disliked her role as sheriff, but since she and Regina started hooking up, her patience for anything was worse than ever.
At three o'clock, Emma heard the familiar clicks on the tiles coming towards her. Her heart pounded in anticipation and she quickly straightened herself out, running a hand through her hair.
"Sheriff, I see you are making good use of public funds." Regina snarked but the bite just wasn't there.
"Hey, you should be happy the cell's are empty and the town is running smoothly." Emma leant back in her chair. "Take a seat, Mayor."
Regina knew Emma was planning something. She'd figured that out when she mentioned David would be away. There was one situation that both of them knew could have gone differently and she was keen to re-visit the chapter. She scowled down at the sheriff. "I'd rather stand. So, why am I here, Miss Swan? Did you simply want to rub it in my face how great a job you're doing, alone?"
Emma's eyes narrowed on the woman and she got into character. "Actually, no. I'm investigating a crime in town. I'd like to ask you some questions."
Regina leant over the desk getting up in Emma's face. "Are you accusing me of something?"
"We'll see. If you have nothing to hide, then you have nothing to worry about. Sit." Emma's eyes glared back with the same intensity as the mayor's and Regina reluctantly settled into the investigation chair.
"Am I suspect? Do I need my lawyer present?"
Emma took out a pad and began scribbling something on it. She got the idea from Ruby and a quick glance up confirmed Regina was curious. She tried very hard not to crack a smile. "Yes, you are the main suspect in this case. Tell me, Where were you last night between the hours of seven and eleven p.m.?"
Her lip twitched in the corner and she put her elbow on the arm the chair and her fingers touched her cheek. "I was at a PTA meeting with the townsfolk, then I ran a few errands."
Emma scribbled something down and cocked an eyebrow. "Really? What errands were you running?"
Regina stared her down without blinking and lied. "I went to the store to get some essentials, then I stopped by to have a moment with my dead mother."
"Can anyone vouch for that?"
"My word should be enough." She sassed.
"Well it isn't, Madam Mayor. You can't talk your way out of this one." Emma leant across the desk and growled. "You see, I have a witness who places you on route to the crime scene last night. And you weren't alone."
Regina laughed incredulously. "Ridiculous! Who is this witness? It's obviously someone out to frame me. You should really do a better job, Sheriff. Remember who put you there in the first place."
"Is that a threat?"
"Just a friendly reminder of my power in this town."
"So you deny it? You were alone?"
"As far as anyone else needs to know, yes."
"Liar!"
"Prove it!"
"Oh I will. But for now," She clicked a pair of handcuffs over her wrists loosely. "...you are under arrest for disorderly conduct."
Regina inhaled sharply and protested. "You can't arrest me! I have done nothing disorderly. It's a flimsy infraction, and you know it!"
Emma shuffled her inside an empty cell and pretended to lock the gate. She didn't actually turn the key. "Public indecency is nothing to joke about, Madam Mayor. I'm putting you here for your own good. I'd just hate it if anyone else in this town got the view I'm getting." She dragged her eyes over the woman and stopped on the hint of lingerie peeking through her too low cut blouse.
Regina stepped towards the bars grinning. "Is that so, Sheriff? You just wait until I get out of here. I'll have you backed into the tightest spot you've ever found yourself in."
"More threats?"
"Promises."
Emma felt smug with herself. She could tell Regina was enjoying this game. She dragged her chair over and sat in front of the bars with her arms folded across her chest.
Regina sat on the cot in the cell and glared back. "What do hope to achieve by keeping me here?"
"For now, I'm just keeping you under a watchful eye. Until I know you can behave."
Regina fidgeted pretending she was uncomfortable. "Well, if I'm going to be stuck in here for an undetermined length of time, are the cuffs and the bars both necessary, or is that just for your viewing pleasure?"
Emma got up slowly and pretended to unlock the cell. She closed the door behind her and jostled Regina to her feet. "I'll take the cuffs off if you keep your hands where I can see them. One wrong move, and they go back on, understand?"
Regina nodded and held her wrists out for Emma. She swallowed hard as the sheriff pulled her hands up and placed them on her head. "Keep them there." She clicked the cuffs off and Regina smirked.
Emma pocketed the cuffs and turned Regina around to face the back wall. The mayor inhaled sharply as Emma's foot slid between her legs and kicked her feet apart. "I forgot to search you for dangerous objects."
She started patting her up from her feet, up to her ass and back down the other leg.
"I'm wearing a skirt. What exactly do you think I could hide down there, Sheriff?" Her words caught in her throat as Emma's hands investigated her ass and hips.
"Better to be thorough." She continued her bodily search, now paying attention to her abdomen, all up her arms and Regina laughed when she found a ticklish spot and wriggled away.
"Emma, anywhere but there! Sorry, start again!"
Enma laughed and gently kissed the side of her neck. "Sorry, I didn't think you were ticklish. Is this still good for you?"
"It's perfect." She cleared her throat and put her hands back on head. "Okay, I'm ready. Ahem, Miss Swan, you're abusing your position."
Emma snapped back into her role and her hands snaked up to cup Regina's breasts through the silk shirt. "You're a fine one to talk Mayor. I've been on to you for some time." She turned her around again and backed her against the cell wall. Her hip grinding into Regina's pelvis.
Regina pushed back and tried to wriggle away from Emma's scrutiny. "So you have been following me?"
"Oh yeah! I've seen what you get up to when you think nobody's watching."
Regina's lips parted and she breathed warmly against the sheriff's neck. "Maybe I knew you were watching all along and gave you a show."
Regina pushed again and Emma braced her firmly against the wall. "I'll use force if I have to."
Regina brushed her lips along Emma's cheek slowly inching towards her mouth. "I won't go down without a fight."
"I'm counting on it."
Lips crashed together and Regina took her hands off her head desperate to touch Emma. She raked her nails down her back and pulled her flush with her own body. The pair ground into one another seeking more contact. Emma, frustrated by the amount of clothing they were still wearing ripped the Mayor's shirt down the middle eliciting a low rumble. She pulled her bra out of the way and trailed her wet mouth from neck to nipple. Regina tugged on the sheriff's holster and unbuttoned her jeans, sliding her hand below the fabric and finding her slick entrance.
"You're going to pay for that shirt, Sheriff!"
"Take it out of my next paycheck, Madam Mayor." She tugged the skirt up and investigated the black lace thong and the area it barely covered. The moved in tandem, grinding and touching with desperation to be satisfied. It was rough and aggressive, and exactly what they both wanted in that moment.
Regina groaned loudly as Emma fucked her harder and she tried to keep her own rhythm slipping in and out of the Savior. It was quick and dirty, the sounds of loud moans, obscenities and wet slaps echoed through the room and the bars rattled. They came together in close succession grunting and panting appreciatively.
"Hey, Emma? Are you here?"
A panicked voice boomed down the corridor and Regina quickly poofed them both into a fully dressed state. She didn't have time to get them out of the cell and pushed Emma away grabbing the bars.
"Yes, yes, I see what you mean, Sheriff. This cell really could use some reinforcement. I'll put it in the budget for the next bi-annual review."
Emma wiggled her eyebrows and made a washing motion with her hand around her lips. "Uhuh, great! Thanks Mayor Mills. Yeah, we really would be grateful for the investment."
Regina ran a hand over her face realizing her lipstick was probably not on her lips any longer and magically put it back in its place before stepping out of the cell.
Happy stood awkwardly in the sheriff's office wringing his hat. "Sorry to interrupt, Mayor, but you gotta come quick, Emma. Leroy's been on a bender again and he's smashing up the town."
"I'll leave you to your job, Miss Swan. Good luck with that." Regina waltzed out of the station and Emma gathered herself.
"Okay. Slow down. Where is he?"
"Outside Granny's. He's gonna do some real damage if you don't come now."
She grabbed her jacket in annoyance and her keys and stomped out of the station. Sod's law Leroy would choose today to be an ass. "Let's go then. See if I can talk him down."
