Emma twirled around examining her reflection and smiled broadly. She had to admit, she could scrub up nice when necessary. Storybrook hadn't really offered much in the way of getting dressed up, and despite what Regina thought, she did have some classy outfits in her closet. She curled her hair and applied light make-up and chuckled to herself. The Mayor was going to get the shock of her life when she saw this version of Emma Swan. With her parents out of town, she was glad she didn't need to explain herself to anyone.
By the time she finished getting ready, it was close to seven. A car honked outside and she hurried down the steps to meet it. "First stop is one o' eight Mifflin Street, please." The driver nodded and pulled away. Emma sat back and sighed in satisfaction. She'd barely touched her bank account for anything other than food or rent and it felt nice to splurge on a bit of luxury. Sure, it was overkill, but she had a point to prove. The car pulled up and the driver opened the door for the blonde.
Emma felt nervous as she waited on the doorstep clinging to a potted amaryllis. This would technically be their first date but Henry would also be there at least to keep her from getting too antsy.
Regina swung the door open and gasped. "Wow!" She took in the blonde wearing a figure hugging black dress, stilettos and her elegant hair and make-up. "Hi!"
"Hi, yourself. Um, this is for you." She blushed under the scrutinyand handed the flower to Regina who took it with a beaming smile.
"Thank you. I love these. I would ask how you knew, but I guess I know how." She inhaled the scent and looked Emma up and down again. "You look beautiful."
"Thank you. So do you, as always." Regina was also wearing a black dress quite similar to her own but lower cut. ""Shall we get going. Is Henry ready?"
Regina nodded and placed the flower to one side before calling Henry down. He bound down the stairs and whistled when he saw his Ma. He was wearing a grey suit with Converse and a plain white t-shirt. He looked adorable. Regina pulled the door closed and gave Emma a quick peck on the cheek. "I had wondered if we might be a little over dressed, but I see we aren't. Is that a limousine?"
"Whoa, cool!" Henry screeched and ran down the path to get a closer view.
"It is. I just thought we needed a proper date. You are a Queen, and I want to treat you like one." Emma kissed her again on the lips, careful not to smear their lipstick. Regina was grinning like a cat who the cream.
"You didn't have to do all this, Emma. I don't need fancy cars and flowers to be won over."
"I know you don't, but I wanted to make our first date something to remember."
They got in the limo and Henry sat opposite. It was all cream interior and had some snazzy lights and a sound system. Henry found a control and clicked the buttons. A soft jazz song started playing and the lights started flashing making him and his mom's laugh. He changed the sound until a song he liked came on. Emma wiggled her eyebrows at Regina. "Well, that was romantic for the whole of five seconds." She popped the cork on a bottle of champagne and filled two flutes carefully.Regina took the offered glass and Emma raised hers in a toast. "To new friendship."
Regina clinked her glass and settled back into the comfortable seat, taking Emma's hand in her own. Henry grinned at both of them. "This is pretty cool. I like you two dating."
The limo arrived before they got to finish their champagne. Storybrook wasn't exactly a huge town and there was never much traffic. The driver opened the door and let them out. When Regina saw where they were she ran a hand up Emma's arm. "I haven't been here for a very long time. Excellent choice."
Tony's restaurant was surprisingly busy and through the window, Emma could already recognize a few familiar faces. "Are you sure it's okay?" She spotted King George sat at one table, and Mr. Gold with Belle at another.
Regina sensed what she was thinking. "If you are okay with it, so am I. As far as anyone else is concerned, we're just having dinner with our son."
Emma nodded with a small huff of relief. "Okay. Cool. Sorry, I guess I'm just nervous. I'll try and keep my hands off you."
"Eww." Henry moaned as they walked inside and an attendant showed them to their seats. Another waiter came over and gave them some menus, the wine list and a bread basket, which Henry helped himself to instantly.
"You choose the wine. You're better at it than me." Emma smiled self-consciously. She was hyper aware of the eyes on them and she didn't need special hearing powers to know the whispers were likely about the odd trio. Regina clapped the wine list shut and placed it to the side of the table. She scowled around the room, refusing to make eye contact with any of her rivals. When the waiter returned, she reeled off the order and waited until he left before speaking again.
"You'd think they had better things to do than gossip about us. Imagine if we actually gave them something to talk about!" She leaned over the table and smiled conspiratorily.
Enma laughed. "Yeah, that would be something. I guess that's one of the downsides of everyone knowing who you are. No privacy. It must drive you crazy always having to be on."
Regina shrugged. "It's all I've ever known. Of course, back in the Enchanted Forest, I wasn't quite as discreet." She flicked through the menu and chose something for Henry and herself.
The blonde felt guilty now. She didn't want her to think she wasn't comfortable with them being together."Hey, I'm not ashamed of this. If you wanted to go public, I'm totally on board with that."
Henry's ears pricked up and he looked up from the dessert menu.
"What, and spoil the fun?" Her foot traced Emma's ankle under the table. "I know you aren't, Emma, and neither am I. Relax. Let's at least have our first official date before dealing with the rabble."
"Okay, so what is our cover story if anyone asks why we're here tonight?" The young lad chimed in sensing a secret mission.
Emma groaned. "I don't think we need a cover story. We're just having family time and giving your Mom a break from cooking." The waiter came over with the wine and then another came to take their food order. When he'd left, Emma chuckled. "Seriously, how many waiters does it take to serve the Mayor? That's the fourth guy who's been to this table."
The brunette chuckled darkly. "It's standard service here. How about in Boston? Did you go to places like this?" She was curious. The flashes she got were the deepest and darkest places of Emma's heart and the thoughts she had about herself. The magic tended to overlook the smaller details and they were what really interested her.
Emma nodded. "Yeah, a couple. Not very often though. Mostly for work. Once or twice on fancy dates but I'm much more a burgers and fries gal. How about back in the Enchanted Forest?" She tried to remember something from the flashes of Regina's memories but came up blank.
Henry was listening intently. He didn't know any of this and never thought to ask either of them. He'd spent his entire life in sleepy Storybrook, except when he ran off to Boston. It was fascinating.
"More banquets and court affairs than restaurants. When I travelled, there were usually feasts in my honor, or to appease me. It took some getting used to coming here and learning how this land without magic worked. No royalty, different forms of entertainment. Learning how a television worked and how to cook for myself. It was refreshing." She looked nostalgic. Those first few months were exciting and very freeing.
"Wow. I can't imagine the kind of life back there. I don't think I would have made a very good princess." She laughed but Regina looked uncomfortable. Their timeline was strange. If she'd never cast the curse, Emma would have grown up in the summer palace, or on the run from her crazy step-gtandmother. The blonde realized where she'd put her foot and quickly changed the subject. "Did you see much of the rest of this world?"
Regina let out a relieved sigh. "A little. Not far. I haven't been on a plane yet. Before Henry, I had a few roadtrips into New York, Vermont, New Jersey and Rhode Island. How about you? Ever left the country?"
"Nope. Been on a few planes though. Maybe we could do that sometime."
"Tallahassee?" Regina grinned as their food arrived.
Emma winked. "You were curious."
"What's in Tallahassee?" Henry asked tucking his napkin into his collar.
"It's where Emma spent much of her youth." Regina rescued.
Henry looked disappointed. "Oh. Can we go to Disney World instead?"
Enma and Regina chuckled and gave each other a look. "Maybe, kid. I'd love to see your Mom get a photo with the Evil Queen."
Regina scowled and shook her head before tucking into her meal. They chatted and ate and the date went surprisingly well. It was relaxed and like they'd done it a million times. As Henry's dessert arrived, Gold came over.
"I must say, I'm surprised to see the savior in such an intimate setting, and with the Evil Queen, no less."
"Haven't you got some contracts to look over, Rumple?" Regina snarled and took a big glug of her wine.
He smirked knowingly. "It's the weekend. We all deserve a little down time, wouldn't you say, Regina?"
"Then go and have it somewhere else."
"Say please and I might think about it."
She rolled her eyes. "Good evening, Gold. Have fun with your firestarter."
"I was leaving anyway. Enjoy the rest of your date."
"It's not a date!" Henry screeched around a mouthful of ice-cream. "It's family time."
Gold leant on his cane and laughed with a beaming smile. "And what an interesting family you make. Good evening ladies." He hobbled off to meet his girlfriend leaving Regina seething and Emma not sure what to make of it.
"Phew! That was close!" Henry breathed out and tucked into his ice-cream again. Emma tilted her head in contemplation.
"Do you think he suspects?"
"If Gold isn't suspicious about something, it isn't a normal day in Storybrook. Don't worry about him. I'll handle it if necessary." Regina finished the wine and ran a hand through Henry's hair. "Thank you, Emma. It's been a wonderful evening, but I think we need to get someone home to bed."
Emma nodded and called the waiter over for the bill. She paid after wrestling with Regina over it and they went back to the limo. She chivalrously opened the door for the mayor to step in and Regina touched her arm lightly with a smile, making Emma feel all fuzzy again. When she looked up she caught the eye of King Leopold watching them with a scowl and she ducked inside the car in a flash. As they drove off, she noticed how many eyes were on them. She was regretting the limo now. Hardly inconspicuous.
Once back at the mansion, Henry took himself off to bed leaving the two women alone. Regina stepped into Emma's space and wrapped her arms around her neck. "Thank you again for this evening. It was really special." She leant in for a burning kiss.
'I've been waiting all night to do this.'
Emma reciprocated the kiss and the sentiment. It was great taking her out but it felt a lot like being back in the closet after so many years. She'd had to stop herself repeatedly from reaching across the table during dinner. Their kiss heated and Regina poofed them to her bedroom. The brunette turned her back on the blonde and swept her hair away from her collar. "Can you help me out of this?"
Emma slowly pulled the zipper down and peeled the dress off her queen. It pooled on the floor and Regina kicked it away then turned Emma around to help her out of hers. "You look amazing in this, but you look even better out of it." Her lips made contact with the back of the blondes neck and her passion ignited. Her bare skin pressed into her back, one hand groped at her breast and the other slipped over her mound. Emma felt the heat rising, more so when she realized they were in front of Regina's mirror and the queen's eyes were watching the reflection intently. Emma shuddered and became self-conscious. Her eyes closed as waves of pleasure ripped through her. "Keep them open." Regina whispered and nibbled her ear lobe.
Emma opened her eyes and focused on the reflection of Regina's eyes watching her. Her gaze followed the movements of her hands. She dipped, and dragged, and circled and Emma was mesmerized by the fire in her eyes. Regina moaned, becoming more turned on as she watched herself bring the savior to a shuddering climax. It was intense. Emma's gaze fixed on the delicate fingers playing with her clit. They slowed torturously and splayed, giving the blonde a full view of herself. She shivered and Regina bit her shoulder gently grinning. Her orgasm built again, this time she felt her cheeks redden but couldn't look away. Watching Regina pleasure her like this was taking her to new heights. She wasn't uncomfortable with her body, just looking at herself in this state. Nevertheless, her body was clearly enjoying the show. Her essence spilled down her thigh and she clenched. Regina bit her lip and pressed her body closer against the blonde's back.
Emma turned in the embrace and ground into the mayor now desperate to satisfy her in a similar manner. She trailed her mouth down and sucked on a nipple bringing it to attention. Her mouth continued south and she dropped to her knees in front of her queen. Her tongue darted out and began flicking at her clit. One hand snaked up and groped at her breast, teasing and pinching her nipple. Regina watched the reflection already hyper sensitive and relishing in the view. Her own hand teased her other breast and her arousal heightened. Her breathing was laboured and she struggled to keep herself steady on her feet. With a quick flick of magic, she dragged the chair towards them from the dresser. Emma startled. "What was that?"
Regina's voice was like treacle. Husky and tinged with desire. "It was me. As you were, Savior." She steadied herself, now able to hold onto something, and sucked her bottom lip between her teeth as Emma became more aggressive in her ministrations. She knew how much Emma enjoyed when she was cocky and she liked playing the part. The mayor's free hand tangled in blonde locks and pulled her harder against herself. Her pelvis tilted to increase the pressure and her eyes fixed on the scene. As her orgasm came, low croaks sounded deep in her throat. Emma looked up and relished in this vantage point. She gently coaxed the last tremors from her lover and was mesmerized by the way her chest heaved above her.
Reginapulled Emma up to eye level and clung onto her. She breathed in the scent of her floral perfume and sighed deeply. "I need to lie down. That champagne and wine has my head spinning."
Emma chuckled and edged them to the bed, flopping Regina backwards. "Are you sure it's the alcohol and not the katoptronophilia?"
Regina raised an eyebrow. "Did you just make up a word?"
"Nope! It's a real thing."
"What does it mean?"
Emma grinned and propped herself up on an elbow. "Seriously? The queen of vocabulary is asking me to give a definition!"
Regina rolled her eyes. "I don't know every word in the entire dictionary. Spit it out."
Emma laughed again and swept Regina's hair away from her forehead. "It means, you have a kink for mirrors. Specifically, sex in front of them. But honestly, I think it just applies to you in all situations."
Regina spluttered out a laugh. "Well, I didn't know there waa word for it, but yes, mirrors are pretty much my thing. One thing Disney got right."
Emma squeezed her hard and made a cooing noise. Regina tugged. "You enjoyed it just as much as I. No teasing."
"I'm not teasing. It's pretty hot actually. Once you get over the fact you're ogling yourself." She made some sort of cringe sound and buried her head in the crook of the brunette''s neck.
Regina turned her face towards her own. "Look at me. Own it. Never be embarrassed with me about anything, got it? It's time you started seeing yourself the way I see you."
Emma felt her heart flutter. "I could say the same to you." She pressed a gentle kiss to Regina's fingers and settled beside her, half spooning, half tangled. "You scare the hell out of me sometimes."
Regina nodded softly against the pillow. "Likewise."
