Twyla and Cassie were an unlikely pairing - the Ranger and the parolee - that somehow just worked. The only person not mystified by their relationship was Cordell, who was supportive and just wanted them both to be happy. "Who would have thought, huh?" Twyla teased her girlfriend as she reflected on the day's events.
"Me and you? We had chemistry from day one. Caw caw." Cassie smirked at her and winked.
Twyla laughed and gave her a kiss. "Caw caw indeed," she teased back. God, she adored this woman.
"We should do another binge-watch!" an excited Cassie shouted.
Twyla laughed so hard her stomach started to hurt. "I love how excited you are. Let's do it!" She'd always agree to a binge-watch of her favorite show with her favorite girl.
"Fuck yeah!" Cassie gave her another kiss and then bolted towards the TV.
Meeting each other had changed Twyla and Cassie's lives in many unexpected ways, and they had the Walkers to thank for that. They just had to meddle and get involved when they shouldn't but it always tended to work out in the end. And Twyla and Cassie both enjoyed the standing dinners at the ranch - those were always fun, especially when the drama of the week went down. Nothing was ever boring in the Walkers' vicinity, especially with Cordell around. It was a little weird, actually, but they didn't question it.
"Love you," Twyla murmured once she sat down on the couch as Cassie pressed play on the pilot.
"Yeah, yeah, me too, Twyla." Twyla responded to that by gently and playfully shoving her girlfriend. "Fine, I love you. Happy now?"
"Very much so, Ranger Perez."
Cassie and Twyla were madly in love and nothing could ever change that. They were endlessly lucky to have met each other.
