Chapter 1-Just Stay Alive

Twenty-two Zatanna took a deep breath as she finally located Nightwing AKA Dick Grayson.
"I found him. He's in Newcastle, England."
"Ra's Al Ghul took Nightwing six months ago. We didn't know the reason until a week ago", Tim Drake, the third Robin explained.
"We discover he is planning on sacrificing him with the help of Klarion the Witch Boy", Bruce Wayne, AKA the Batman said emotionless.
On the inside, we worry for his adopted son about being a sacrifice.
"Why would they sacrifice him?", Beast Boy, AKA Garfield Logan.
"An ancient prophecy states to tip the balance to the chaos's favor, to sacrifice the one who suffers the most tragedies both physically and emotionally. To sacrifice his happiness, to protect the one he loves. To take all the blame upon himself. A beacon of hope to everyone", Doctor Fate said as appeared in the room.
"That's why they took him. What I don't understand is that they didn't sacrifice when they first got him", Barbara Gordon, the former Batgirl, now as Oracle.
"They prepare his soul, mind, and body for the sacrifice. It is excruciatingly painful for the sacrifice", Dr. Fate said with no emotions.
"Dick", Zatanna said with anger.
"What?"
"You said sacrifice. His name is Dick, and he is our friend and family", Zatanna said glaring at him.
"I will assign the team for the rescue mission", Batman said.
"I'm coming. This is my brother. He took a chance on me, and saved me. I'm coming with you."
"So we are. We formed this team together", Kaldur the former Aqualad, now Aquaman stated with the original team that took down the Justice League.
"Okay. We leave in ten minutes. Get ready."
Newcastle, England

Dick Grayson groaned in pain as glowing red symbols appeared on his body. Sweat dripped down his body, as he struggled against the restraints that held him down. He turned his head to see Ra's Al Ghul.
"I know what Klarion gets out of this, but what about you?", he struggled to say, as the pain increased.
"This is revenge. Bruce will regret not joining our family."
Dick forced a chuckle, feeling the pain all over his body.
"You know Bruce is planning on asking Diana to marry him before you capture me. She will always be a better mother than Talia."
He growls, as he raises his hand to strike him.
"Now, now. We don't want to ruin all the hard work we did the last six months", Klarion said, appearing with his cat Teekl in his arms.
"You won't win."
"I think I did", Klarion said as Ra's Al Ghul stepped back.
A glowing red upside down pentagram symbol appears below Dick, as the red symbols glowing more with an intense burning on his skin. Klarion spoke in some language Dick didn't understand. Dick felt more pain than anything he ever went through. He felt his energy, as his mind was going blank. Dick slowly raises into the air with Klarion.
"Klarion!"
Then a golden of energy sends the Witch Boy back, breaking the ritual. Dick starts to fall to the ground.
"Tes Kcid yltneg ot eth dnourg", Zatanna cast as Dick slowly was set to the ground.
She ran over and kneeled down. He was sweating, his breathing was labor, his skin pale, and she felt he was burning up. She looks to see one of Ra's men coming up to her. Robin appeared, kicking him away. She looks back at Dick, to see his electric blue eyes.
"Zee."
"You're going to be okay."
"I'm sorry."
"What?"
"I love Zee. I always had. I only broke up with you, because after with Jason, just the thought of you hurt, breaks me. I always regret breaking up with you. I'm so sorry. It took me so long to figure it out, that I want to only be with you."
"Dick, you're going to be just fine. When you get back on your feet. Ask me out. I want another chance with you."
"Zee."
Dick slowly closed his eyes, as Zatanna felt Dick's pulse slow down. She lifted him as tears formed in her eyes.
"No. No. No. Stay alive. You don't get to die. You promise to make it up to me."
As everyone came over as Klarion and Ra's Al Ghul's men disappeared.
"We need to get him to Leslie, now."

Doctor Leslie Thompkins struggles to contain the bleeding.
"Where is that bleeder?!"
Then he suddenly went into cardiac arrest.
"Damnit Dick!"

The Bat Family stood silent as the rest worried for him. Tim looks down as he lean his head on his hands. Cassie slowly moves over and gently squeezes his shoulder in reassuring him.
Zatanna went to get coffee. That was twenty minutes ago. Artemis came over to see her staring at her coffee.
"This is Dick. He survive 72 hours with Joker and Haley torturing him. He'll make it."
"Right before he passed out, he told me he wanted to be with me. I had loved him forever. I want to be with him."
"Zee."
"I want to spend the rest of my life with him."
Artemis squeezed her shoulder.
"He'll make it."
