'Such a let down...'

We see a bald man, wearing a yellow suit and white cape, he had his red gloved fist out, with some smoke coming off from it, the man wore a very bored and disappointed expression, he let his arm fall down to his side and slump forward, sighing softly

"Oh well... I wonder what I should make with these fruits I bought?"

After quickly getting over with his lame fight with the monster, if you can even call it that, he lifted up his big bag of fruits, like oranges, apples, and bananas, etc, he looked at his choices and rubs his chin and thinks on how to use them, though before he could imagine like a smoothy or maybe a apple pie, he then suddenly heard a loud growl, which caught his attention and looked and finally noticed the two small children, the Paper Bag Boy held/comfort the starving Yellow RainCoat, this surprised him a bit

'Wow, they're small.'

He then slowly walks up to them, catching the boy attention and gets worried, he quickly grabs a broken golf club and tried to use it as protection for him and the girl, but he was barely strong enough to drag it, and couldn't bring up, this made the Hero wince a bit, realizing how weak and hurt these two were

"Its ok, look, I won't hurt you."

He wasn't dumb enough to know that these kids were scared of him, so he tried his best to come up to them, carefully and non threatening, once he was close enough, he squats in front of the two, the boy took this chance to swing his weapon, but once it hit the man, it did nothing, and his failed attack made the child fall, and then quickly hold the girl protectively, who let's out another hungry growl from her empty, the bald guy noticed this, so he reached in his grocery bag and pulled out a big apple

"Here, eat it."

He gave the kid's the red fruit, the Paper Bag Head held the girl tighter, clearly not trusting the man, but seeing the Yellow RainCoat groan in pain and clutching her tummy, the Boy had no choice, and, with great hesitation, use both hands to hold and offer the fruit to her, who looked at it with a drool and wasted no time eating it with her small mouth, the boy pets her head, sighing in relief, as did the man, he was a bit worried that they wouldn't eat it

"So, where's your parent kid?"

The Bald man couldn't help but asked, he hoped that these two didn't run off to far from their parent's, but he hopes that the police could help with that if that was the case

"... Parents?..."

The Boy tilts his head in confusion, while holding a now sleeping, full Girl

"Um, yeah, where's your mom or dad? Or your gramps? Any relative's nearby you can go home to?"

The Bald man couldn't help but raise a eye brow by this boy question

"... No Home..."

Paper Bag Head said that while laying his head on the girl, close to falling asleep, this boy answer was enough to make the man go wide eyes in realization

"O-Oh.. I'm sorry to hear that..."

He didn't realized that these two were orphans, and seeing the conditions they were in, they were also homeless, no doubt living in the streets for most of their lives, this made the Hero pinch his nose and sighs, now knowing that he couldn't just abandoned them like this, so without another word, he picked up the now passed out children, and then carried them away, in hopes to get them some help about their situation

'I wonder how they lived this long?...'

He couldn't help but wonder, unaware how much these two have been threw, soon the Hero had taken them to a hospital, asking for help and medical attentions, which wasn't easy, cause as soon as the kids woke, they were clearly unhappy by this and refused any help, the Paper Bag Head tried his best to push the nurses/doctor's away, while the Yellow RainCoat tries to bite anyone that got close, they even held on to the Bald Guy, as they tried him more than everyone else, which made the Man sigh and apologize to everyone for their difficulty, luckily no one seemed to be upset about this, as not only was this not new to anyone, but understand what's happening, 'Those poor homeless kids, must be hard to trust anyone they meet', that's what they all say/think, but in order to give the kid's the medical care they need, they asked the Hero to be with them as they treated, he nods in acceptance and does as they asked, holding the two close, to let them know it's safe, while letting the Doctor's/Nurse's do their thing's, the Boy and Girl still struggled when given bandages, shots and medicine, clearly upset about all this, but soon it was all over, and the two ran and hid behind the Bald Guy, watching the him groans from this

"I'm sorry for all the trouble they've caused."

He gave a bow to the nurse who had to deal with them, to which she lets out a small giggle and wave him off

"It's fine, I can't blame them for acting the way they do, though."

She wore a sad smile as she glances at the two youngsters, who was secretly trying to eat the Lollipop they were given, no doubt still hungry, especially the Yellow RainCoat, who wasted no time and bit into it instead of licking

"It's still sad that these two experienced such a thing, they're only kids, they should only know how to play and be happy..."

the Nurse then looked up back to the man, who couldn't help but nod in agreement

"Yeah, I'm thinking of sending them to an orphanage, hopefully they should be safe and happy there."

The Bald Guy rubbed his chin, thinking on which orphanage was closer to go to

"Why don't you take care of them?"

The Nurse suggested, shocking the Hero

"H-Huh? But why?!"

He didn't understand why she would say thay, not only did he not have the money to take care of them, but he was not experienced to be a caretaker

"Well, with all the monster's popping up lately, the orphanage has been put in a lot of danger because of them, so the government has recommended everyone, who does/doesn't have any children, to try to adopt them, in order for them to be safer, of course each person that does this will be given Child Care and Parenting Discounts in order to support the kids."

Once she explained all this, the Bald man couldn't help but think deeply about all this, he will admit that the benefits/support was a very nice offer, imagining all the grocery and supplies he could get from this, but, he couldn't help but wonder, if he was ready for such a big commitment, he glance at the kids, knowing that they did not trust anyone here, including himself, though they did, at least the boy, knew that the Hero was safe to be around, evidence by the fact he refused to let go of the man's leg, the Cape Baldy let's out a sigh and looked back the nurse

"Ok... I'll take care of them..."

As soon as he said this, it made the two children look up in suspicions, and the Nurse smile happily for him making such a hard choice

"I'm happy to hear that, I'll bring in the paper's so that you can be legally recognized as their caretakers~"

The Hero only nods at this, the Nurse then quickly leaves the three alone so that she could get the paper to sign, while the trio were by themselves, the bored looking guy looked back at the two kids, who looked back at him

"Since we're gonna be stuck with each other, we should introduce each other, I'm Saitama."

When the man, now known as Saitama, introduced himself, the kids only stared at him, silent and unmoving

"... Mono..."

The Paper Bag Head pats at himself, before petting the Yellow RainCoat head

"...Six..."

Saitama nods at Mono and Six names, happy that they were easy to remember, he then lets out a small smile at the two

"Nice to meet you two, I hope we get along."

He will act more like a caretaker/babysitter than a father, it just feels more fitting for a guy like Saitama.

(Btw, the two are small enough to fit in a backpack together, just to make their size more clearer)
