It starts with a Vision

She awoke to the smell dust and loud cries from people calling out for their loved ones only to be answered by sound of crackling wood and collapsing rubble that surrounded them. Her eyes began to fluttered open and once she came to , she realized the horror the lay before her. Everything around her was destroyed and the entire place was engulfed in sand.

"W-Where am I?" She thought to herself as she to look around for anything familiar which she might be able to recognize, but found nothing.

"Excuse me, but do you mind telling me what happened?" She had decided to ask a few of the people in the surrounding the area but received no answer in return. They merely continued to mourn and cry or remained silent as if she didn't exist.

For her next course of action she decided to walk, what looked like be a battlefield and it It only to took her few minutes until to realized exactly where she was.

In front of her lay the statue of the great Ameno Archon toppled over and all but destroyed the majority of it budines under rubble and sand, and right behind it was the great cathedral or at least what remained of heartbeat quickened at the sight as her mind began to process everything and a bombardment of questions followed.

"I-…I'm in Mondstat?" …"yes"

"W-What happened!?"…

"Are we at war?"…

"Where are the Knights of Favonia?"…

She only really had answer for one of those question. She looked up at the sky and extended her hands out in front of to gauge what time it might be.

"I've go to find Jean." She muttered

after all if there was anyone who could answer all her current questions it was her. She took another deep breath as to build her resolve and decided to search for the leader current acting leader of Mondstat.

"By the the alignment of the stars and the positioning of the moon I'd say it's no later than 10pm. I'd best get started on my search for answers."

She had taken only a few steps before

stopped and her eyes went wide.

"Why is it suddenly daytime?" She thought frantically looking for any logical reasoning. She found none.

The people surrounded her also stopped all their mourning and for a brief moment everything became silent.

.

.

.

"RUUUUN!" came a scream and shortly after some of the people began frantically seeking shelter. Others fell to their knees, eyes wide in fear and tears running down their face as if to accepted whatever fate awaited. The majority stood similarly in place unable to react.

She looked east towards the sky but found nothing.

"Where's the sun?" Another question that needed answering luckily for her this one wouldn't take long. She turned her head north and found the answer she was searching for.

There. Atop the snowy cliffs of the dragons spine mountain was the so called "sun" and below it stood a figure with his hand extended towards the sky. It's was as if he was holding the "sun" at the palm of his hand.

"Heed my warning, O great mage of stars, for should I continue to live then a star of destruction promises befall upon Mondstat." his voice so peaceful and calming despite the words he had just said

Not able to comprehend why she was able to see, let alone hear what he had said she suddenly saw the "sun" pulse.

She narrowed her eyes

"What in the w-" before she could finish her sentence everything around her seemed to be engulfed by light and explosion 100x louder than Dvalin's roar followed and then suddenly silence and darkness befell.

.

.

.

"The Great Mage of Stars. Mona Megistus. Heed my warning, should I continue down my current path then a star of destruction promises befall upon all of Teyvat." his voice so peaceful and calming despite the context of the words.

.

.

.

She awoke with a gasp, eyes shooting open simultaneously. She found herself sitting up on her bed covered in a cold sheen of sweat. Her eyes looked around and she realized she was indeed her house .

"A mere nightmare? Or A vision of fate?" She thought to herself. Taking a few deep breaths she gathered her composure then moved to grab a fresh pair of clothes that weren't soaked in her sweat.

"I really do hope it's the former." she muttered to herself as she made her way to the shower.
