The next morning the students of the different schools awoke and heard noise outside and were shocked to see that the Seireitei High team was already doing some practice in the outer area between the classrooms and the gyms. The amount of sweat on each of them showed that they have been out there for a while and it also showed the amount of training that they are hard working and truly like what they do. This light almost like a new strength in then different teams.
After a while the Seireitei team stopped and went and cleaned up before heading to get some breakfast that the managers where preparing. They walked in to see the other teams already there and nodded their greetings before going and getting large amounts of food. They all sat down at different tables and ate. Ichigo looked around before spotting the two first years. He motioned his head towards the two while looked at his Kenpachi and walked over when he got a nod back. Ichigo sat down and watched with wide eyes as the number 10 of the Karasuno team ate food almost as tall as him. Kenpachi sat down and pulled Ichigo closer and then dug into his food, while keeping an eye on everything around him.
Hinata looked up from his food to noticed Ichigo staring at him. He though for a moment and than pointed at him. Hey your that Captain from the Seireitei team that we will be playing today right. Ichigo do to growing up with two sisters understood do to Hinata speaking with a mouthful of food. He slowly nodded his head as a answer and went back to eating his food.
Later on the teams met back up in the gym and do to there being an extra team present one team got rest during the practice matches. Hinata was bouncing around at the excitement of going against another team that they have not played before. He warmed up with his team and then Coach Ukai gave a speech. Volleyball is a sport of height It is an absolute that tall players are strong and we may be small but are wings are strong and will carry us though the challenge. Now Karasuno Fight. The players got onto the court and it almost looked like adults playing against little kids from a point of view do to the height differences between the two teams.
When it was time for the match the Seireitei team lined up across the court. Across the court, the Karasuno members lined up parallel to them. both sides were ready for the game could begin though Kenpachi's grin did not help at all with how blood thirsty it seemed.
The groups bowed, and everybody took their positions on the court. Ichigo jumped a little and looked at Hinata with a smile. This going to be fun with your speed against our team. He smiled down at Number 10 of the team.
Ichigo glanced sideways to Kenpachi with an excited grin. There was no longer to question the opposite team's lineup, because of the whistle blew and the ball was within the air. Byakuya had hit a solid 1st serve, however ball was quickly received by the Karasuno libero Nishinoya. "Nice receive!" His team members yelled and ball was passed towards Kageyama.
Ichigo and Kenpachi readied themselves for wherever and whoever the setter would toss the ball. Who would he hit the ball to and when did they need to jump. The game just begun and you could feel the excitement and the tension between the two teams waiting to see who would take the lead between the two teams. The ball shot up and the Kageyama readied the ball and jumped hitting the ball into the air just for it to be slammed down just as quick by Hinata. Kenpachi and Ichigo stared at the ball as it hit the ground.
The Seireitei team didn't move for a whole moment watching as the ball rolled. The entire team seamed to change in that split second and their entire being seemed to almost like flip a switch. They Seireitei became almost like veteran soldiers that are in war and stared at Hinata and Kageyama with anticipation and the gaze of a praetors that caught sight of a good catch.
The Karasuno Crows froze at the sight and sudden change of the other team. They didn't know what to make of it, but they did know one thing the team that they were playing against was not at full playing strength and seemed to just be playing with those around them, now they were out for the kill and Coach Ukai didn't know how to feel about what he was seeing but he did know that it probably was not going to turn out well. Needles to say it was almost a one sided mascara throughout the rest of the game, but the Karasuno Crows where smiling at the end of it showing that yes they were beat but it just gave them another goal to beat in the future.
