Shoving his balled, used diaper in the trash can, Lucas picked up his wet pajama pants and sighed. If he'd realized he was gonna leak he'd have just thrown his soiled stuff in with Toon Link's. Normally a leak wouldn't require laundry immediately, but with Toon Link taking up all the spare bedding it meant Lucas would have to make a trip to the laundry room.

No sooner did he unlock the bathroom door did it come flying open, Toon Link holding himself with one hand and desperately doing the potty dance. "Move it!" he shouted, pushing Lucas out of the way and running for the toilet.

Lucas quickly closed the door behind him, feeling relief in his own heart as he heard the splashing sounds to show Toon Link had made it. Then, just to be sure, a quick glance at the calendar confirmed he wouldn't even need to change his undies.

Checking his phone once again, Lucas realized he hadn't even been in the shower for a full 20 minutes. If Toon could go from fine to desperate in just that short amount of time… He was starting to realize his 'dry pants guarantee' might be harder than he was expecting. After putting his PJ's in the dirty clothes hamper, Lucas pulled something from his locker and waited at the table.

"Ahhh," Toon Link sighed, exiting the bathroom with a smile. "That was close!"

"Yeah, good job.." Lucas said, lacking enthusiasm considering what he was about to propose.

"Thanks!" Toon Link said, feeling pride for such a small accomplishment. He then realized Lucas looked a bit more serious than usual. "Everything okay?" he asked.

"Sit down," Lucas said, nodding to the chair across from him.

Confused, Toon Link took his seat and cocked his head. "What's up?"

"There's no easy way to say this but… I don't think you're gonna make it."

Toon Link looked taken aback for a second, but quickly retorted, "Wait, what?! It's only a few hours, and with you here to help-"

"You're too anxious," Lucas cut him off, trying to speak his peace. "Your anxiety is making you constantly wonder if you need to potty, which makes you more anxious cuss you constantly think that you do, but since you can't just be on the toilet 24/7 you try and hold it, which makes you more anxious, until eventually you lose control…"

"W-what?! I do not! I…" Toon Link thought about it and wiggled in his seat a little. Despite having gone not just a minute before, he could swear that he needs to go potty. "...Maybe…"

"So if you're constantly worried about pottying your pants, then it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. Right?"

Toon nodded a little, following the logic but not sure where it was going.

"So if you weren't worrying about wetting your pants, then paradoxically you'd stay dry. So it seems to me the only solution is…" Lucas reached below the table and pulled out a folded white diaper, setting it on the table between them. "...Diapers."

The blood drained from Toon Link's face for a brief second before it came back with a vengeance, turning his cheeks red from a mixture of embarrassment and anger. "I'm doing all of this so that I wont have to wear a diaper!" he practically screamed.

"Calm down! Think about it!" Lucas was expecting a tantrum so it didn't seem to phase him.

"No! Nuh-uh, never! No way!" Toon Link pushed himself away from the table, done with the conversation.

"You're gonna have to wear one tonight anyway, you know," Lucas pointed out calmly.

This caught Toon Link's attention, he'd almost forgotten.

"...So what's a few hours earlier to put one on? Think about it, if my theory is right then you wont even need to use it. If I'm wrong, then you'll have the protection and your pants will stay dry. I'm the only one who needs to know you're wearing one. It's win-win."

Toon Link's face contorted, thinking hard about the offer on the table. He wanted to deny it with every fiber of his body but...he had to admit Lucas had a point.

His shoulder slumped and, staring straight at the ground, he finally spoke, "I'll do it. I'll wear the diaper."

Lucas gave a little smile and pushed the diaper forward. "Good! Trust me, it's the right decision."

Lucas stood up as Toon Link took the diaper, unfolding it in his hands. Lucas was about to collect his laundry to give Toon some privacy until the little Link spoke up sheepishly. "I, uh...how do I put this thing on?"

Lucas froze, realizing his little friend might need some help.

o-o-o

"Move your hands!"

"No way! My Master Sword is down there!"

"That's the point!"

"Fine, then close your eyes!"

"W-what, I still need to powder you though!"

"Give it to me, I'll do it myself!"

Cough, cough, cough, cough…

"Dude, that's way too much!"

"It came out faster than I exp- hey quit looking!"

"You reek of baby!"

"Well I'm not one!"

"Then stop acting like one and move your hands so I can finish up!"

"Fine, just hurry!

o-o-o

Toon Link stood awkwardly in front of Lucas, dressed in his normal outfit with his leggings and tunic on.

"How does it feel?" Lucas asked.

"Thick…" he said, shifting his legs awkwardly with the new bulk between them. "And soft… How does it look? Notice anything?"

Toon Link gave a little spin for Lucas to see.

"The tunic really helps hide it!" Lucas told him, surprised at how well this might work.

"Awesome!" Toon Link gave a little jump for joy before walking forward a couple of steps.

Crinkle, crinkle…

They stopped and looked at each other.

"It's way too loud!" Toon Link complained, suddenly looking panicked

"Well it's cuss you're wearing those paper thin leggings!" Lucas shot back.

"They'll hear me coming from a mile away!"

Lucas put his hand on his chin and thought for a moment. "Oh, I got it!" He ran off to the bathroom and came right back out holding a towel. Without even asking, he got behind Toon Link and lowered his leggings, wrapping the towel around his diaper before pulling his waistband back up and giving him a little pat on the butt. "Try now."

"It's way too thick!" Toon Link protested, though did as he was told. He waddled a couple of steps forward, significantly quieter than he was a minute before.

Lucas gave him an expectant look, as if to say, 'See?'

Toon Link sighed. "It's just for today…" he said, more to himself than Lucas.
