Vampire
"Uh oh." Clint said, and then Bruce growled and suddenly there was a blur and he was pinning Clint to a tree
"Clint!" Natasha shouted, pulling her gun out
"Bruce." Tony said and Bruce looked at him with his blood red eyes and growled, and then he turned back to Clint
"B-Bruce. W-we can t-talk about this." Clint said, and Bruce opened his mouth to show his fangs
"Help!" Clint yelled as he pulled, trying to escape from Bruce's grasp
"Jarvis suit!" Tony shouted, and then after a moment his suit came and latched onto him, and he pointed his blasters at Bruce "Bruce! Bruce stop!"
Bruce growled at him again and then turned back to Clint and opened his mouth, and then he leaned towards Clint's neck to bite and Clint squeezed his eyes shut, but then three shots rang out from Natasha's gun. The bullets just hit Bruce and then fell to the floor, but it knocked him back to reality, making his eyes widen
"C-Clint." Bruce stuttered and he quickly pulled away and backed away "I-I."
Bruce looked at Steve next to Clint who was in a fighting position, and then at Natasha and Tony who were also now next to Clint, who had their guns and blasters pointed at him
"I..." Bruce said as tears started to gather in his still red eyes and he looked back at Clint who was backing away from him fearfully
"I-I'm s-sorry." Bruce said quietly in a broken voice with tears falling down his face as he backed away, and then in a second he was gone
"Are you okay?" Natasha asked Clint worriedly after a few moments as she looked over him
"Yeah. Just a few bruises that's all." Clint replied as he rubbed his hurt arm
"What...What happened..." Steve said after a moment
"I..don't know..." Tony said in reply
"He...he had red eyes a-and fangs and..." Clint said quietly, and then he looked back over at the dead deer
"Clint...Are you okay..." Natasha asked as she looked at Clint who was staring at something, and she followed his eyes to the dead deer
"Should we...should we go look for him..." Tony asked after a moment as his helmet lifted up
"He just tried to kill Clint and you want to go look for him?!" Natasha said, turning to Tony
"It didn't look like he meant it. He was scared. I could see it." Tony stated
"Natasha..." Clint said after a moment and Natasha turned to him "He's still our friend. He could be really hurt right now. I agree with Tony, we should look for him."
"But he almost killed you." Natasha stated
"It doesn't mean we should just leave him. If we don't go after him he might never come back. You know how he is." Clint exclaimed "...Please Natasha."
"...Okay..." Natasha replied after a moment "But if he tries to hurt you again we're leaving."
"Okay." Clint said
"Okay." Natasha said
"Let's go look for him then." Tony said "I'll use my thermal sensors."
"Okay." Steve said, and they started walking in the direction where Bruce ran off
"So what he's...a vampire..." Steve said after a moment
"I...I don't know." Tony replied
"He was drinking blood, and he had red eyes and fangs..and the bullets..." Clint stated
"Yeah..." Tony said
"Okay..I think I have something." Tony said after about ten minutes as he stopped and looked around
"What?" Steve asked
"I think he's over here." Tony stated as he turned and started walking towards a dark part of the forest
They were walking and then after a few moments they started to here faint crying and they started walking towards it
"Bruce?" Tony said as he shined the light from his hand through the forest, and then the crying stopped
"Bruce. Please come out. We're not mad. I promise." Tony said, but no one said anything
"...Bruce. I'm fine. You didn't hurt me. Please come out. Just talk to us." Clint said after a moment as he stepped forward, infront of Tony
"...B-but I did h-hurt you..." They heard Bruce say quietly after a couple moments
"I'm fine. Please Bruce. Just come out. We can go back to the tower and talk. Just come back with us." Clint said "...Please..."
"...Bruce..." Clint said after a few moments after they didn't hear or see anything "Please...Come out...Please..."
After a few moments they heard Bruce get up and then he slowly stepped out from behind the tree he was behind, looking down with tears in his now amber eyes
"Are you okay?" Clint asked, and Bruce nodded
"Can you come back to the tower with us and we can talk..." Tony asked after a moment "Or do you want to talk here."
Bruce didn't reply, he just looked down and fidgeted with his hands more
"Bruce..." Tony said
"...Here..." Bruce said quietly after a moment, still looking down
"Okay..." Tony said
"So...What are you?" Steve asked after a moment
"Steve!" Clint said, looking at Steve
"Sorry..." Steve said, looking away, and Clint looked back to Bruce
"So um..." Clint said as he looked at Bruce and then he took a deep breath "...You're...You're a vampire."
"Seriously Clint." Steve said
"Yeah. Sorry." Clint said as he looked back at Steve "I just don't know what to say."
"I... It's okay Clint..." Bruce said quietly, and they all turned back to him "You didn't do anything wrong..."
"You didn't either Bruce." Clint replied as he took a step towards him, and Bruce stepped back in fear
"But...but I hurt you." Bruce stated, looking down
"It was by accident Bruce. I could tell." Clint stated, and Bruce looked back up at him
"Please don't run Bruce. I know that's what you want to do. Come back to the tower. It's fine. I'm not mad. I promise. I'm fine..." Clint exclaimed "...Please Bruce. You know I'm not leaving until you come back with us."
Bruce looked back down and fidgeted with his hands, and then after a few moments he looked back up at them "...Okay..." Bruce replied quietly
"Okay." Clint said, and Bruce looked back down "Come on. Let's go back."
"Come on guys." Clint said to the others as he turned, and they all started walking in the direction the tower was, and Bruce slowly followed them
"So...you are a vampire." Tony said after a couple minutes as they walked through the forest
"I..." Bruce said as he looked down
"Tony..." Steve said
"Hey. It's okay Bruce." Tony said as he walked backwards and got right next to Bruce, making him jump back in fear and back away from him
"Bruce." Tony said as Bruce backed away from him
"I-I'm s-sorry." Bruce said as he looked down
"Hey. It's okay." Tony said as he walked towards him and Bruce backed up a little, until he was against a tree
"Hey." Tony said "You aren't going to hurt us. I don't care that you're a vampire. I don't care. Okay. Now come on. Let's get to the tower and get you to bed. Okay."
Bruce looked down and fidgeted, and then looked back up at Tony "Okay..." Bruce said quietly, and then he slowly walked towards Tony, and Tony grabbed his hand slowly, and then started to lead him back to where they came in, and they left and headed back to the tower
"I know we asked this already but... You're a vampire...right?" Clint said after a few minutes as they walked into the tower, and Bruce looked down and after a couple moments he nodded
"So um...were you..born like that." Clint asked as they got into the elevator and then started heading up
"..No..." Bruce replied quietly, and Clint nodded in reply, and then after another minute the elevator doors opened and they got out onto the floor with their bedrooms on it
"Come on. We can talk in here." Tony said, and they went into the living room and all sat down on the couch, and Bruce sat on the other side, away from them
"Okay. Bruce." Tony said as he looked at Bruce who had his knees pulled up to his chest, and Bruce looked up at him a little
"We are going to ask you questions but you don't have to answer them if you don't want to. Okay?" Tony said, and Bruce looked back down and nodded "Okay."
"So your a vampire..." Tony said and Bruce nodded "Okay..Um...Are all the myths about vampires true. Like does the sun hurt you at all."
"No...The sun doesn't hurt me or do anything to me at all...I can just like run really fast and I'm really strong and I need to drink blood... That's about the only differences between me and normal people..." Bruce said quietly, still looking down and Tony nodded
"You said you weren't always like this...How did you become um...a vampire..."Clint said after a couple moments, and Bruce looked away
"It's okay if you don't want to tell us anything." Clint said
"No it's... it's fine." Bruce said as he closed his eyes
"...A few years ago I...I got attacked by something..." Bruce exclaimed quietly after a moment as he opened his eyes a little, still looking down "...They bit me but I hit them and they ran off...but not before turning me into this..."
"I... I'm sorry..." Clint said
"So this...this was after the Hulk." Steve said, and Bruce nodded
"Is the Hulk a vampire?" Tony asked
"..No..." Bruce replied quietly, looking down "I was bitten, not him...when I turn into the Hulk I get completely different cells that are still human so..."
"...Are you okay." Tony asked and Bruce looked up at him with his eyes that were now a golden brown color
"Yeah...I'm fine..." Bruce replied quietly, looking back down
"...So um...what about your eyes." Clint said and Bruce looked up at him "What do the different colors mean..."
"Oh um...My eyes are usually like a dark brown." Bruce said after a moment looking back down "They're like a gold-ish or an amber color when I start to get hungry and then they turn red when I haven't had enough blood and then I can get out of control..."
"I thought you just ate though." Tony asked, and Bruce looked up at him
"You're eyes um...You're eyes are gold." Tony said
"Oh..." Bruce said, looking back down
"Then I just didn't have that much then..." Bruce said
"Do you need more um...blood?" Clint asked
"I don't really need any right now...I...I'm not going to hurt you... " Bruce said quietly, still looking down
"No that's...that's not what I meant." Clint said
"It's okay...I understand..." Bruce said quietly as his eyes started to tear up
"Bruce. We don't care okay. If you need to I can start getting you blood from the animal hospitals that usually have extra. Then you won't need to worry about killing anymore." Tony exclaimed "I know you probably hate it."
"You...You would do that..." Bruce asked, looking up at him a little
"Of course I would Bruce. You're my friend." Tony said
"But I... I'm a monster..." Bruce said, looking down
"Bruce, you are not a monster." Tony said, moving closer to Bruce and grabbing his hand in comfort, making him jump "You're my friend. I don't care that you are a vampire. And you would never hurt anyone on purpose. I know that."
"I..." Bruce said as he looked back down, and then after a moment he looked back up at Tony "Thank you Tony..."
Tony smiled "You're welcome Bruce..." Tony said
"...Now how about we all get to bed." Tony said after a few moments "It's late."
"It's actually really early." Clint said, yawning and rubbing his eyes
"Yeah." Tony said
"Okay..." Bruce said, looking back down and fidgeting with his hands
"Hey." Tony said, making Bruce look up at him "It's okay."
"Yeah..." Bruce said, looking back down
"Bruce..." Tony said, reaching his hand out again, but Bruce jumped back and pulled away
"S-sorry." Bruce said, looking away and fidgeting with his hands
"Bruce. You don't need to say sorry. I know you're sensitive and what just happened is probably a lot for you. But I promise we will all be here for you. No matter what. We don't care that you're a vampire. You're just as important to us. You just need to trust us...Okay..." Tony said, holding his hand out
Bruce looked down as he fidgeted with his hands but then after a few moments he looked back up
"...Okay..." Bruce replied after a moment, grabbing Tony's hand slowly, making him smile
"Okay." Tony said "Now let's get you to bed."
Tony stood up with Bruce, and then so did the others
"Come on Bruce." Tony said, and they started walking to Bruce's room
"...I-I'm sorry Clint..." Bruce said after a few moments as they walked through the hallway
"I told you it's fine Bruce. It wasn't your fault." Clint said
"Yeah...Thank you..." Bruce said
"You're welcome. Goodnight." Clint said as he went to his room
"Goodnight." Bruce replied, and then Clint went into his room and shut the door
"Night Bruce." Steve said as he went into his room
"Night." Bruce said
"Night." Natasha said as she went into her room
"Night." Bruce said
Then Bruce and Tony continued to walk down the hallway until they got to Bruce's room, and then they went inside
"Okay Bruce." Tony said as they stopped in Bruce's room and Bruce took his shoes and jacket off "I better see you in the lab tomorrow uh..today."
"Yeah." Bruce said as he shut off the light
"Goodnight Bruce." Tony said as Bruce got into his bed
"Goodnight Tony." Bruce replied, and then Tony went to shut the door but then he stopped
"Bruce." Tony said
"Yeah." Bruce said
"Promise me you won't leave." Tony's said, and Bruce looked down
"I know you want to but please Bruce. Don't." Tony said as he walked over to Bruce and sat down on his bed, making him look down "You mean everything to us. You're our friend. We don't care that you are different. We don't care that you are the Hulk. We don't care that you are a vampire. Okay. Please just promise me you won't leave. Please."
"...Okay..." Bruce said after a few moments, looking back up at Tony "I promise..."
"Thank you Bruce." Tony said, and then he pulled Bruce into a hug, startling him, but then after a moment he hugged him back
"...You're welcome Tony." Bruce replied
"Goodnight Bruce." Tony said after a few moments as he pulled away from him
"Goodnight Tony." Bruce replied, and then Tony got up and slowly turned and left, closing the door, and then Bruce laid down and closed his eyes and they both went to sleep
