All he could see was red, he was covered in blood. It wasn't his blood but rather the blood of the cold corpses that lay around him. He looked around and found himself lost again. This happened every time.
'It misses every fucking time.' Naruto thought as he pulled out the sword lodged in his chest, a sword that missed his heart by an inch.
As he burned the bodies and took off towards his village where he could retire in his big and lavish yet empty mansion. A house was all he could say to describe it. Men like naruto didn't deserve homes, or so he thought.
He remembered the first time it missed.

A 5-year-old naruto was wheezing through the alleys. He was not supposed to leave his house under any circumstances. The old man had ordered him, he acted like a good boy for the first 4 days and listened but today was his birthday. Today the old man would pardon any of his mischief. He dug into his jacket and pulled out a pocket watch it was gold plated and shiny, it had his initials written on the back.
It was a birthday gift he got this morning but didn't know who gave it as the old man gave him his gifts in person and old man teuchi always gave him ramen.
The note didn't have a name on it either.
'The clock will keep ticking. It will never stop'
Was all the note said. It saddened him a great deal that he could never thank his mystery gift giver.
It was 7 in the evening, as he reached the main city he could see the lights, the cheers, the riches. Places he couldn't see himself fitting into, even if he had the right clothes, he could never have the "right" attitude.
He heard someone behind him, he turned to see 2 drunk men. They looked at him weirdly.
"Ish dat da dem-" Said one of them before being stopped by the other.
"Kasuke! you know we can't shay dat." The other said while covering the now known kasuke's mouth. "The big bhad shhinobi will kill ushh." Both of them promptly doubled over and started laughing.
From the way they spoke, they were clearly drunk
Naruto was about to run when both the men caught up to him.
"Now now, let's continue our party shomwhere elsh." Said the unnamed man.
