Hello everyone! Here's another one shot! I hope that you like it!
Breathe
Steve has really bad asthma. Everyone thought the serum had cured him from it, along with all of his other problems, but it didn't. Then the team finds out after he has an asthma attack and he has tell them that he has asthma.
"Morning Steve." Tony said as Steve walked into the kitchen
"Morning." Steve replied as he sat down at the counter
"Thanks." Steve said after a few moments as Tony handed him a coffee, and then he started to drink some of it
"Where's Bruce and Clint?" Steve asked after a few moments
"They're still sleeping. Clint was tired from the mission yesterday and Bruce stayed up late again." Natasha exclaimed, and Steve nodded
"Do you guys want eggs? Waffles? Pancakes?" Tony asked as he got up and went to the fridge
"Pancakes are good." Natasha said
"Steve?" Tony said
"Pancakes are fine." Steve replied
"Okay." Tony said as he pulled out frozen pancakes from the freezer
"I know they're frozen and not homemade but I am a terrible cook and if I try to make a pancake I will probably burn the tower down." Tony stated as he closed the freezer and put them on the counter, and Steve and Natasha laughed
"Yeah. And remember to microwave them three minutes, not thirty minutes." Natasha said, and her and Steve laughed again
"Hey! That was one time! It was an accident!" Tony said, and they kept laughing
"Sure. Sure. Just keep saying that." Natasha said after a couple moments
"It was!" Tony said as he put the pancakes on a plate and put them in the microwave, and they laughed at him
"How are you a billionaire with like fifteen kitchens and no one else living in the tower with you and you can't cook."Natasha asked after a couple moments
"I'm just bad at it okay.." Tony said
"Okay. If you say so..." Natasha said
"Hey. What are you guys doing?" Clint asked tiredly after a minute as he rubbed his eye and walked towards them
"We're talking about how horrible Tony is at cooking." Natasha stated, and Clint laughed
"Yeah." Clint said
"Do you want pancakes. Tony's making some...Well, microwaving some since he can't cook." Natasha said
"Sure." Clint said as he sat down, and then Tony got more pancakes out of the freezer
"Seriously." Tony said as he put some on a plate for Clint "Why can't you guys do this yourself."
"Because we don't want to." Clint stated
"Uhhhh.." Tony groaned, and they all laughed
"Seriously, you guys need to do things yourselves." Tony stated
"Well then you need to learn to cook." Natasha said, and they all laughed again
"Yeah yeah..." Tony said
"Here." Tony said after a couple minutes as he handed Steve and Natasha a plate with their pancakes
"Thanks." Natasha said
"Thanks." Steve said
"You guys want syrup?" Tony asked as he walked over to the fridge
"Yeah." Natasha and Clint said, and then Tony got it out and put it on the counter
"Thanks." Natasha said, taking the syrup
"And here's your forks and knives" Tony said, putting them in front of them
"Thanks." Steve said as he took his fork and knife
"Thanks." Clint said as he took his fork and knife
"Thanks." Natasha said as she took her fork and knife
"Okay. Here's yours Clint." Tony said after a couple minutes as he gave Clint his plate
"Thanks." Clint said
"You're welcome." Tony said, and then put some pancakes in the microwave for himself
"Want some syrup?" Natasha asked Clint
"Yeah. Thanks." Clint said, taking the syrup and then putting it all over his pancakes
"Do you guys want to train after we're done?" Clint asked after a few minutes as they all ate
"Sure." Natasha said
"Sure." Steve said
"Yeah. Why not." Tony saud
"Okay." Clint said
"Morning Bruce." Tony said after a few minutes as Bruce walked into the kitchen rubbing his eyes
"Morning..." Bruce said quietly as he sat down next to him
"Want some pancakes?" Tony asked
"No thanks. I'll get something later." Bruce replied
"Okay." Tony said, and then he got up and put his plate in the sink
"You ate fast." Clint stated as he took a bite of his pancake "I'm barely even halfway done."
"Yeah. Well I guess I just wanted to go down to the lab and work on something real quick before we train." Tony stated
"Okay." Clint said "You can just come to the training room whenever you like. We'll probably be in there for a while anyway."
"Okay." Tony said as he walked to the elevator "Do you want to come Bruce?"
"Sure." Bruce replied, and he got up and walked over to Tony, and then they got into the elevator
"Okay. We'll meet you there in a bit." Tony said
"Okay. Bye." Clint said
"Bye." Tony replied, and then Bruce and Tony headed down to the lab
Time switch to when they're at the lab
'"So what do you want to do again?" Bruce asked as they got out of the elevator
"I just want to make another suit." Tony stated as they walked over to the table with the computers and screens
"But don't you have like more than twenty already." Bruce asked
"No. I have...less then that." Tony said
"Sure." Bruce said
"Yeah whatever." Tony said
"Yeah..." Bruce said
"So what do you want to do?" Bruce asked after a moment
"I'm just going to upgrade it a bit and then maybe add some more stuff." Tony stated
"Okay." Bruce said
"Okay." Tony said, and then he pulled up a screen with his suit on it and they started working
Scene switch to Steve, Natasha, and Clint in the kitchen
"Okay. You guys want to go down and train now." Clint asked after a few minutes as he gathered everyone's plates and mugs and put them in the sink
"Sure." Steve said as him and Natasha got up
"Yeah." Natasha said
"Okay." Clint said, and then they walked over to the elevator and got in
"So do you guys want to train individually, box, or just like fight eachother like we would fight on a mission?" Clint asked after a moment as the elevator doors closed and they headed down to the training room
"I think fighting eachother would help the most with our training." Natasha stated
"Yeah." Steve agreed
"Okay." Clint said
"Okay." Natasha said
Time switch to when they're at the training room
"Okay. So is this just fists." Clint asked as they got out of the elevator
"Yeah. Let's keep it just fists for now." Natasha said
"Yeah. We can switch to weapons later." Steve said
"Okay." Clint said, and then they got ready and Natasha and Steve went on separate sides of the room
"Okay. Ready?" Clint asked after a minute as Natasha and Steve stood in fighting positions
"Ready." Steve said
"Ready." Natasha said
"Okay...Go." Clint said, and then Steve and Natasha ran at eachother
Steve blocked Natasha's hits and then jumped back when she tried to trip him. Then Steve punched at her but she moved out of the way and jumped on top of him and flipped him into the ground. But then Steve grabbed her and put her in a chokehold, but then she wrapped her legs around his neck, putting him in a triangle chokehold
"Okay. And stop. Wow. That was fast." Clint said, and Steve and Natasha broke apart
"Yeah." Natasha said, her and Steve breathing hard
"You both okay?" Clint asked, and they both nodded
"Okay." Clint said
"Do you want to go with Natasha. I'm going to get a drink." Steve said
"Okay." Clint said "I'll go with you when you get back and then we can go a few more rounds with eachother and then we get our weapons."
"Okay." Steve said, and then he turned around and went over to the bench with his water, and then he started gasping for air as he held his chest, and then he coughed as it got harder to breath but he quickly took a drink of water which helped
Then Steve sat down and closed his eyes as he took deep breaths in and out, and then after a couple minutes he was good and took another drink of water and then went back over to Clint and Natasha who were now sparring
"You okay?" Clint asked as Steve walked over to them "I saw you coughing over there."
"Yeah. I'm fine." Steve said "She just has a strong grip."
"Yeah." Clint said "Tell me about it."
"You want to go with me after we finish." Clint asked after a moment
"Yeah. Sure." Steve said
"Okay." Clint said
"Okay." Steve said, and then Clint turned back to Natasha and they started fighting again
Scene switch to Tony and Bruce in the lab about a half and hour later
"Okay." Tony said as he moved the hologram of his suit, making it zoom out "Can you think of anything else that might help?"
"No. Not at the moment..." Bruce replied as he looked at the hologram "Maybe if you hollowed out the back and arms a little more to make more room for weapons and then it could also make it a little lighter too. And maybe you could also add some reflective panels to make it stealthier."
"Yeah. That's a good idea. Maybe. But I'll have to see if that'll work first." Tony said as he added that in the notes
"Yeah." Bruce said
"Okay." Tony said as he looked at the hologram "I think we're done for now. Do you want to go see what everyone else is doing?"
"Sure." Bruce said
"Okay. Let's go." Tony said and then they went to the elevator and got in and headed up to the training room
Time switch to when they're at the training room
"Hey." Natasha said as Bruce and Tony walked out of the elevator
"Hey." Tony said
"So we each have fought eachother a few times and so after Steve and Clint are finished with this we're going to switch to weapons." Natasha stated
"Okay. Can I join?" Tony asked
"Sure. After they're done we'll start." Natasha said
"Okay." Tony said, and then they watched Steve and Clint spar for the next few minutes until they got tired and stopped
"You guys ready for the next one?" Tony asked as Steve and Clint walked over to them
"Yeah..." Clint said, out of breath
"You ready Steve?" Tony asked
"Yeah...I'm...ready...Let me just...get water first..." Steve said, also out of breath from fighting Clint
"You okay Steve?" Bruce asked
"Yeah... I'm fine..." Steve replied, and then he walked away back to the bench and grabbed his water and took some drinks as he breathed in and out, and after another minute his breathing was normal again and he walked back over to the others who were getting their weapons
"Here." Clint said, handing Steve his shield
"Thanks." Steve said as he took it
"You gonna watch Bruce?" Tony said as he walked over to Bruce who was sitting on the bench
"Yeah. Sure." Bruce replied
"Okay." Tony said, and then he turned to the others "Okay. You guys ready?"
"Yep. Let's go." Clint said, getting an arrow ready
"Okay." Tony said "Me and Steve. Clint and Natasha. Then we'll change it."
"Okay." Clint said
"Okay." Tony said as his helmet closed "Ready...Go."
Natasha and Clint ran at eachother while Tony flew backwards and started to shoot at Steve. Natasha shot at Clint as Clint shot at her, and one of the bullets almost hit Clint but then he jumped out of the way, and they continued to shoot at eachother. Tony shot his blasters at Steve but Steve blocked all of them with his shield and then he threw it at Tony, but Tony moved out of the way and it bounced off the wall, and they started fighting again.
They did this for about fifteen minutes until they were all tired out and breathing really hard
"Okay..." Tony said as he landed back on the ground "Let's switch. But first let's get some water."
"Okay." Clint said, and then they all walked over to the bench and got some water
"Okay." Tony said after a minute as he put his water down "Steve you can go with Clint. I'll go with Natasha."
"Okay." Steve said, still breathing hard
"You okay?" Tony asked, and Steve nodded
"Okay." Tony said, and then they all got to separate sides and faced eachother again "Go!"
They ran at eachother, Natasha shooting at Tony as he flew through the air, and Clint shooting at Steve as he blocked them with his shield. Tony shot at Natasha, making her jump back, and then she shot at him, hitting his suit, making him fall a little but he caught himself before he hit the ground, and then started shooting at her again. Steve kept blocking all of Clint's arrows so after a few minutes Clint started to use the explosive arrows, and then Steve jumped out of the way and started running when he shot them at him.
"Steve watch out!" Natasha yelled after a minute, and Steve quickly put his shield up as a bullet went towards him that ricocheted off of Tony's suit
"Sorry." Natasha said as Steve put his shield down
"That's o-" Steve started but then he heard Clint shout, and he turned to an explosive arrow hitting him and knocking him back into the wall
"Steve I'm so sorry. Are you okay." Clint asked as he went over to Steve who was coughing and gasping for air "Steve."
"Steve?" Natasha said as her and the others ran over to him
"Steve what's wrong?" Clint asked when Steve didn't say anything, still taking in short ragged breaths
"Clint move." Bruce said as he went over to Steve, and he knelt down next to him
"Steve I need you to take deep breaths for me okay. Hold your breath, then breath in, then hold it again and then breath out. Okay." Bruce said, and Steve started to try and do that but he kept wheezing and gasping for air
"Bruce what's going on?" Tony asked
"Okay. Where's your inhaler Steve?" Bruce said after the breathing didn't help him, ignoring Tony
"Ro-om. Dr-drawer." Steve gasped out
"Okay." Bruce said as he got up "He's having an asthma attack. Just get him to sit up and take deep breaths while I get his inhaler."
"Okay." Clint said, and then Bruce ran out of the room and up the stairs to the floor with their rooms
"Steve. Just follow my breathing okay. In...Out...In...Out..." Clint said as he took deep breaths, and after a minute it started to help Steve breath better "Okay now here. Sit up."
"He's having an asthma attack?" Natasha said as Clint helped Steve sit up
"Yeah." Clint said
"Okay. I got it." Bruce said as he ran back into the room after a few moments, and he knelt down next to Steve and gave him a puff of his inhaler, helping him breath a little better, and gave him two more puffs after that
"Are you okay?" Bruce said after a few minutes after Steve's breathing had gotten better, and Steve nodded
"S-sorry." Steve said after a moment, still having trouble breathing
"Steve you do not need to say sorry for anything. Having an asthma attack is not your fault." Bruce said, and Steve looked down and nodded
"...How long have you had asthma?" Clint asked after a few moments
"...Since I was four..." Steve stated, and Clint nodded
"But I thought that the serum like got rid of all of that." Tony said
"It was supposed to but...it didn't get rid of my asthma." Steve exclaimed
"Why haven't you told us this before Steve." Bruce asked after a moment "If you had an asthma attack during a mission and we didn't know you..."
"...I...I know...but I...I was just scared what you guys would think..." Steve exclaimed, still looking down
"Steve you don't need to be afraid of telling us something like that." Clint said, putting his hand on Steve's shoulder, making Steve look up at him "No one is perfect. A ton of people have asthma."
"Yeah..." Steve said, and then he looked back down "But I'm supposed to be Captain America. The person with no weaknesses that can do anything."
"Steve. No one is perfect. Not even Captain America." Tony stated
"Yeah." Natasha agreed "And if people think differently of you because you have asthma then they're stupid."
"Yeah." Clint said "You don't need to care about what people think of you. All you need to think about is us, because we're your friends. And we would never think differently of you because of this or anything else."
"Yeah." Bruce agreed, and Steve looked up at all of them
"...Yeah..." Steve said "Thanks guys."
"You're welcome Steve." Clint said
