Day 3. This one is a little violent, just going to warn you.

District 2 Female - Valerie Mason - 18

I am very disappointed.

Not only was Marley unable to bring me Raeden, but she died while doing it. Raeden is a threat, first killing Nolan, then Marley? I expected better of Marley, at least. I guess it's up to me now to take her down. And I will have great pleasure while doing so.

Glint was chasing after the 12 pair as they were easy prey for someone like him, so I was left alone.

Now, I could finally get my revenge on Raeden.

I began by packing up my things, including my knives and sword, as well as a few other small weapons I could use to torture Raeden. Suddenly, a small package attached by a parachute with a Capitol seal came floating down next to me.

Inside was a small bottle of a clear liquid that was unfamiliar to me. The seal attached to it read:

A poison that will put your enemies to sleep…

This was perfect. I could pour this into Raeden's water, and wait it out. Once they came back to drink, they would fall asleep and I could easily kill them. This was a perfect plan.

I had been tracking Raeden and where they were for quite some time. Currently, they were in a small clearing behind the tail of the Cornucopia, about 100 yards away. Quietly, I made my way over to their small camp. They had left their supplies under a small pile of loose rocks, but it was not hard to find. Taking their half-filled water bottle, I poured the entire contents of the small bottle into the bottle and slinked away.

Now, all I had to do was wait.

District 12 Male - Darien Night - 18

We were picking berries when we heard them.

While Raven and I were picking fresh raspberries from nearby bushes, we heard a soft creak in the trees, leaves crinkling, sticks snapping, all the signs of someone moving around. I only had a few seconds to turn around when I knife came whirling out from behind a tree, striking me in the head. I stood there for a moment, unable to process when blood came pouring out of my face and mouth.

"Darien!" Raven shrieked, her face shocked, her eyes wide.

I collapsed onto the ground, and the corners of my vision turned black.

"You monster!" Raven roared at whoever had thrown the knife. It was probably Valerie, or maybe Glint. "Stay with me for a moment. Please. Stay. I need you," Raven whispers to me as she turns around. I tried to listen to her, but I couldn't breathe.

"Raven," I said hoarsely, blood coming out of my mouth. She turned around, her long, black hair wild. She was so beautiful. "Raven," I choked. "I love you."

Boom.

District 12 Female - Raven Dragomir - 18

"No," I breathed, looking at Darien's body. "No!" I drove forward, almost crashing straight into Glint. "You…" I glared at him, two knives in my hand. "You killed him!" I screamed, by voice lashing out like a whip. I sent a flurry of blows at him, adrenaline rushing through my body. He couldn't react fast enough to defend my attacks, but as he sliced his massive ax at me I got thrown into the tree.

I fell to the ground, injured.

"Why?" I yelled at him. "Who is the real enemy here?"

It was too late. I saw as his ax came crashing down to my skull, but I also saw the moment of hesitation, the moment of distress. I understood. We do what we have to, what we need to do.

I closed my eyes and let him take me.

Boom.

District 1 Male - Glint Coldwater - 18

I couldn't get what the 12 girl had said to me out of my head.

Who is the real enemy here?

What does she mean? Does she mean Valerie, does she mean Elisa, the Head Gamemaker? Or does she mean the Capitol?

I remembered her face as I brought my ax down. She did not fight, she just accepted the fact that she was going to die. That, I think, is what scared me the most.

Am I a monster? Or am I just doing what I need to do to get home?

As I ran back to Valerie, I heard voices.

"What do you think we should do now?" It was a girl's voice, but I wasn't sure who's. Was it Raeden's, the girl Valerie was after? Or was it someone else's?

"I'm not sure, but we should keep an eye out for anything." A boy's voice answered.

"More like four eyes. You can never be too careful in here." The girl said again. I moved a little closer, trying to catch a glimpse of them.

"Nyka, did you hear that?" The boy said again. It must be the girl from 9, then, and I think the boy from 8. What was his name again? Evren?

Whoever it was, they had heard me. A thin boy with narrow glasses walked closer and closer to me. Waiting, I stood hunched. As soon as he came around the corner, I charged. I pushed him closer to the platforms, slicing him, I heard the girl scream and saw the look of horror on her face.

"Evren, look-"

Then I felt nothing.

Boom.

District 9 Female - Nyka Halliwell - 17

"Evren, look out!" I screamed as both Glint and Evren hurdled towards the electric field.

Boom.

Boom.

Two loud cannon shots came from all around me, and it almost sounded like they too were saying, "no!"

I sank to my knees, crying. I don't trust easily, but Evren made me laugh, he was kind, and we had a good time together. He was my friend.

I can't believe it was

over that fast.

Glint came out of nowhere, and in a matter of seconds, they were both dead. That could've been me.

What will I do now? I lost my ally, I lost everything. It seemed the electric field was down because when I threw a rock at it the rock passed right through. It seemed all the field needed was human flesh.

I broke down crying again and leaned up against a tree. I should've done something. I should have been the one to go and check what the sound was. I should have been the one to die. Evren deserves to live. He should be the one to go on.

But there's no way to change the past, only the future.

There was a lot of death in this chapter. We are down to the top 4, and they are Valerie (D2F), Davina (D3F), Raeden (D5F), and Nyka (D9F). Who do you think will win?
