A/N: Hello everyone and anyone. Second Valentine's Day one shot for today this one being Sess/Rin. I wrote out a Sess/Kag that I posted earlier called 'Home' if anyone wanted to check that one out.

This one is short and sweet.

Enjoy!

He knew he shouldn't touch her. That was a given. Why would he do such a thing when, for one, he had found the notion of taking on a human lover so unappealing for so long.

He didn't know however if it was just because he had projected his hatred from his fathers demise on all such relationships or if he himself really did not wish to engage in one himself, that was before though.

Secondly, given what he had experienced with said sire and from what he had learned from others relationships of that nature ended in tragedy and hardship often times resulting in a child that was left orphaned.

Why would he subject her to such a fate when he had worked so hard for nearly a decade to keep her safe from harm, when he went out of his way to see her smile and ensure she was well taken care of.

That was then.

They were in the now and she was baring her heart to him. Explaining how she felt, how she had felt, and how she would always feel. There would never be any other for her and he knew that, he believed her with his whole heart just as she trusted him with hers.

His logic seemed to fly out the window as she stood in front of him cupping her hands to his face. Tilting his head up he wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her down to him.

Taking her for himself she proclaimed multiple times how she loved him and only him. He let his actions speak for him which she understood, she had long since been able to read him and knew he never did anything that he did not want too.

Resting against him he held her close burying his face in her hair. She held the hand that was draped across her and kissed at his claws.

"I love you Lord Sesshomaru." She said softly. It wasn't the first time she had said it over the course of the years they had known each other but he had never felt inclined to return the sentiment until now.

"I love you too Rin."
