So.. If anybody is curious, I'm revamping the series yet again. I just wasn't satisfied with the 'test chapters' I posted for each character, so I've decided to take my time and really make this series as great as I want it to be. This being said, I've decided to do something this go around that'll be kinda neat. Or I think it will, the rest of you guys will probably hate it, but eh, I've embraced the fact that I'm pretty much writing for myself / the few who enjoy the series / the void at this point, so..
This book is going to serve as kind of a guide to the series. This chapter I'm posting now will outline the changes I've made to the timeline, etc and explain away the deaths I've chosen to ignore for various reasons and other things. The rest of the chapters will serve as a complete original character sheet and I'll be doing a chapter/sheet for each one of my original characters. The character sheets are already posted on my penname bio, but I'll be posting them here too. Also, just a heads up, these aren't completely and totally 100 percent complete. They can/will be added to or tweaked at will if I see a need.
Anyway, let's get into it, yeah?
IMPORTANT:
These fics may or may not contain the following: Criminal activity, mentions of death/violence, topics such as depression/addiction/sexual themes/other potentially triggering subject matter. They may or may not also contain occasional hints of supernatural/paranormal themes, but not often. This is a soap opera in which over the top and almost unbelievable things happen frequently, so if you're expecting mundane and calm or anything, apologies in advance because in this house we adore *Chaos* in any and all forms and truth be told, I kinda miss the 'anything goes' era.. Provided that the anything in question makes sense and fits into my overall vision for each fic, of course. If you're reading this in the hopes of getting just a crumb of JaSam or CarSon, you're going to be disappointed on both counts as I'm just completely opposed to both pairings. If my interpretation of the characters I use bothers you, I'm only human and this is my interpretation. I can't help it if you see them differently. I can only write them the way I see them / feel they are at the end of the day.
Ages are not mentioned, but I will tell you that characters have been aged up/down in accordance to my ideas for the stories I intend to write. It makes it easier to write for me if I'm not age checking everything. Everyone involved in the fics is in the age range of their early twenties to their late thirties/early forties, I'll put it that way. I've done my best to keep them at least somewhat close to the ages they're listed as but in the case of Lila Morgan, I've done some major soap opera rapid aging just because it felt more right for me to write her as a young adult.
I'm not a psychologist, doctor/medical professional/law enforcement official/lawyer or any other kind of expert here. So if I mention illnesses/injuries/etc, take it with a grain of salt. I'll be doing my best to research things as the need arises but it's like I said. I'm no professional, so I might possibly get something wrong. I can only apologize in advance and do my best to do better research in the future.
Just gonna put this out here. If you're a minor, probably not a good idea to read the series. If you find that certain things in the series make you uncomfortable, by all means, stop reading. I'm writing these for enjoyment, to get the ideas I have out of my head. I'm not writing them to compromise anyone's mental well-being. I promise, I'll understand if you have to step away and can't read any further. In fact, you don't even have to let me know. Also, just gonna throw this out there too, while I'm at it.. Feedback is great and I appreciate it, but I'm not going to expect or demand it. If you wanna leave feedback, cool. I'll be grateful. If you don't, also cool and I totally understand. I read stories on here too and I too am afraid to comment for the most part. I get it. The gist of it is that if you're uncomfortable, don't keep reading. Please. This goes for all 13 'books' in the series that I plan to write/post. They're all kind of connected but can totally be read as stand-alones.
Sorry for the long rambling warnings. TLDR; These stories may/will potentially contain eventual sexual content / violence or death and other dark subject matter / addiction and alcohol and other triggering topics. If you're underage or this is going to make you uncomfortable, please don't continue to read.

CHANGES I'M MAKING THAT NEED TO BE KNOWN NOW
- Nathan and Maxie briefly dated. They don't have any children together because Maxie left town and went to be with Spinelli in Seattle. Maxie has only met Peter a handful of times and they do not share a daughter, either. They never dated at all. Just so we're clear, I'm team Spixie here. Spinelli and Maxie are happily married and parents to Georgianna in addition to a son and a daughter, Damian Mac and Louise Marie.
- Rather than Sam and Theodora being twins / their old storyline from my last revamp attempt, Sam is the oldest of Alexis' daughters. Theodora is second in line. They were still kidnapped and raised by the McCall family, but.. Julian and Alexis were trying to live a life on the run from Mikkos prior to the kidnapping. So there is a prior relationship between Julian and Alexis that the kidnapping of their two daughters kind of puts to an end.
- Dante and Lulu get divorced, as per their on air storyline. However, it happens quite a bit earlier. They co parented Rocco until Lulu slipped into her coma. The reason for their divorce is pretty much old issues / doubts and Dante dealing with a rather heavy case of PTSD / mental programming that made him change drastically. He's been undergoing therapy for this and currently, given Lulu's coma situation, Dante is the full time custodial guardian of their son, Rocco. In the case of Lulu's daughter Charlotte with Valentin, custody went to her fraternal twin Ekaterina (my oc, you'll learn more about her shortly) and every other weekend, Ekaterina has to meet Valentin so that Charlotte can spend a weekend with him.
- Lila has been majorly rapid aged. Kristina has also been rapid aged, just to make things fit a tiny bit better. Lila did not die at birth, either. I mean, obviously. I rapid aged her because I really wanted to have her be a young adult for this. Sadly, from the little I have seen, the late teens/early twenties somethings on the show are given crap for storylines.
- Nelle Benson isn't dead. She is/was serving time in Pentonville, in the maximum security portion where other violent and more dangerous criminals are kept. Trust me, this is important for the future. You want to remember this.
- Jason Morgan has stepped down from his friendship/partnership with Sonny Corinthos. He's also kind of dropped his friendship with Carly and he hasn't been with Sam for quite a while now. He's reconnected with Monica, he has a parenting only relationship with Sam in regards to their son Danny and he's opened his own private investigation agency that Spinelli also co-owns, in addition to Sean and Curtis Ashford. They work closely with PCPD / PCPD SWAT / Diego's security firm. He's rekindled his friendship with Liz Webber and by the middle of the series (Lila's fic, i'll also be telling Jason's story via her fic) they'll be a couple.
- Spencer Cassadine is still in prison for the things he did to Ava while Ava was married to his father. However, Ava and his father are no longer married and Ava is up to her old tricks all over again, trying to hop into bed with the first warm body / person who can do the most for her. But yep, Spencer is in prison. Before he went in, he was dating that Esme kid, but he and Trina have been writing letters back and forth lately, so.. Yeah.
- The coma storyline they put in play for Lulu is in effect here. I'm unsure as to what's going on on the actual show (I don't watch anymore, I'd prefer to spare myself the irritation because I know they'll piss me off somehow) so I'll be doing my own thing with it. At some point, I'm probably going to have her wake up, have to undergo extensive physical therapy and other things, but I'm not really decided as to when just yet.
- Sonny and Nina have been hooking up recently. I noticed that they've been attempting to pair the two in spoilers I've seen from not so long ago (no telling how old they are though, so yeah a word of strong caution here) and I thought it looked interesting, that the two of them do have a bit they can relate to, so I might be giving that a go here. Carly gets no man. I said what I said.
THE LEADING MEN (AND WHAT THEY'RE UP TO)
Dante Falconeri and Lulu Spencer divorced around 2019 after Dante returned from a stint undercover that left him "programmed", resulting in a massive change in Dante's overall personality and sudden "mood shifts" that he just couldn't explain and Lulu just wasn't equipped to handle. There were already hard feelings between the two because Lulu begged him not to take the assignment in the first place but he was grieving what he thought was the loss of his partner / best friend Nathan West at the time, so his head wasn't all the way on right. Once Dante became aware of the programming that had been done to him, he started to work with someone to have it reversed but it seems that Lulu just wasn't interested in waiting around or reconnecting because she left town briefly with the kids and went to stay in Seattle with Spinelli and Maxie. Dante decided to do his best to put the pain behind him and just push through it or work around it and for a brief time, he was demoted from Detective to a lower rank on the force just until he got himself back to 100. Only recently has this happened. Lulu and the kids returned to town, Lulu bringing a new fiance along with her. Dante's gotten over the end of his marriage to Lulu and all he wants is to co-parent their shared son Rocco. Since all of this occurred, he's stopped taking undercover assignments and he does struggle with occasional episodes of PTSD / night terrors due to the things he experienced during his time in deep cover that his mind somehow suppressed and he's only now just remembering. He's been promoted back to Detective and when Nathan West was revealed to be alive and returned to Port Charles, the two resumed their work partnership.
Nathan West only briefly dated Maxie Jones, to begin with. Things didn't work out because Maxie realized that she hadn't fully gotten over Spinelli and she still loved him so she left Port Charles and went to join Spinelli in Seattle. After the discovery that his father wasn't a Cassadine but Cesar Faison, Nathan was taken hostage by his bio father and held for close to a year. His last known whereabouts before this were on a plane, presumably to go and hunt down a lead on the last known whereabouts of his bio father. Cesar hijacked the plane and there was a struggle between the two men. The plane did crash, they found wreckage that matched up with the plane Nathan left Port Charles in, but they never found his actual body. For a few months, there was a search and it was all over the news and during this time, Nathan was being held at one of Faison's estates and he was in a comatose state. He woke up and realized what had happened and managed to get a call through to his adoptive sister Nina, who tried to go to PCPD with what she knew but was ignored.. Until Peter happened to overhear and for whatever reason, believed her. Peter August managed to get enough proof that Nathan could possibly be alive and he went to Dante with it. As Nathan attempted to escape Faison, Dante and Peter arrive, helping him to do so. During a gun fight, Faison was shot and killed and the 3 men left him for dead. Nathan arrived back in Port Charles and similar to Dante, he was demoted down a rank until he worked through it all and proved he could handle taking over his old position again. He's recently been cleared to be promoted to Detective again and he's back to being partners with Dante. Nathan's time as a hostage did come with the occasional panic attack, particularly if he's restrained in any way now it'll get to him faster than anything when before, it wouldn't. He's forming a better bond with his bio mother, Liesl and he's gotten to know his half-brother Peter, the two have a kind of bantering and competitive relationship filled with friendly taunting and teasing. It wasn't this way at first, however. It took Nathan a little while to come around to the fact that Peter was slowly becoming a changed man.
Logan Hayes Baldwin did not die back during the TMK's reign of terror. He did end up in a coma for two weeks and once he was awake, Scott helped him leave town quietly. At first, Lulu wasn't informed of this because Scott wouldn't be Scott if he didn't attempt to exact his pound of flesh from her for what she'd done to his kid. Anyway, yeah.. Logan returned to active duty in the military and he did a few more tours before finally calling it quits sometime around 2017, shortly before the passing of his mother. He returned to Texas to care for his mother because she was in poor health and this is where he was until late 2019. He took a job as a ranch hand and on a lark, he put himself through police academy, graduating sometime in mid 2020. After finishing police academy, he immediately went to work for a station in Dallas for a while where he remained until early 2021. In early 2021, his father suggested him to Jordan Ashford and Anna Devane, co police chiefs over PCPD and after discussion, they approached Logan offering him a place on the force there. Logan took a while to decide and in that time, he's been finalizing the sale of his childhood home after completely remodeling it to double the value. At first, he wasn't going to return to Port Charles but when a position as a member of SWAT was mentioned in an attempt to sweeten the deal, he couldn't refuse. He was starting to realize that he needed closure anyway. He's only just recently returned to Port Charles and taken a job with PCPD. He owns a motorcycle and he's gotten himself a new tattoo or two since he was in town last.
Coop Barrett did not die either. Instead, when Cruz (the actual TMK) came to unalive him, there was a fight and during the fight, Coop wound up unmasking Cruz, which falsely led him to believe that Diego was the killer after all. This would later be proven false when the DNA reveals the truth, but Coop actually sees Cruz's face. Coop goes to the hospital for his injuries and gets patched up and sent home. After this, Coop becomes fixated on catching the TMK somehow, particularly after the would be killer targets Maxie. Maxie and Coop wind up breaking up because Coop sets a trap for the TMK and his trap nearly backfires and it nearly gets Maxie killed when she shows up at the wrong place during the wrong time and Coop can't get to her in time. It's revealed at the hospital after Maxie is admitted to be examined that Logan and Maxie slept together a second time and Coop and Logan wind up having it out. Shortly after this, Logan is attacked by Lulu and leaves town. Before he does, Coop seeks him out and the two mend things up between them. Coop stays behind and works his way up the ranks at PCPD and shortly after the TMK takes another victim, the DNA comes back from one of the older scenes and it proves to be a familial match to Diego, but rules him out entirely. Coop is man enough to admit he's made a mistake and he's basically put Diego through a witch hunt and while things are strained at first, the two eventually do become close friends and even work together at Diego's security firm further down the line. After Coop closes the TMK case, a spot opens up on the PCPD SWAT team and Coop joins because he misses the action and the rush he got while serving in the military. Coop and Maxie do attempt to date again, but Maxie calls things off and leaves town to go be with the man she really loves, Spinelli. Coop realizes that he's fine with it, that he and Maxie were never going to make it in the first place and he just kind of moves on with his life. He starts doing undercover operations with Lucky Spencer and Dante Falconeri and the three form a friendship. He settles into a pattern and that pattern continues even now.
Diego's return to Port Charles to open a physical office of operations for his security firm has Coop signing on to take the occasional bodyguard / security job. He's recently gotten himself a cabin outside of town, roughly in the same location as the cabin that Logan Baldwin lives in and every Thursday night, Diego, Logan, Coop and a few of the other cops from the station gather at someone's house to play a few rounds of poker and bullshit, drink, whatever.
Diego Alcazar was not the TMK after all. DNA ruled him out but it did reveal that his mother went to her grave with more than one little secret when it was revealed that the actual killer was none other than an identical twin brother that Diego wasn't even aware existed due to childhood traumas and suppressed memories that his mother was more than happy to allow him to forget. His name was cleared and his brother Cruz was rightfully tried and convicted. Diego was soured on sticking around after this all occurred, however, so he left town shortly after. He used his father's name, money and connections to start a security firm with Damian Spinelli offering himself up to be a surprise silent partner. In addition to the security (high tech home systems and the like) aspect of his company, he also dabbles in private investigation working part time at Jason Morgan's newly opened investigation agency and puts himself out as a bodyguard for hire along with Logan, Coop, Morgan, Ethan and Milo, who also work with his security firm. He was doing things remotely at first, but he returned to Port Charles just recently with the intent to open an actual office in the downtown area, just three down from Jason's investigation agency. When he's not working, he can be found in the gym boxing or competing in local / statewide prize fights. The time away from everything really helped him clear his head and truly see that he wanted a little risk, he didn't want to become the heir to the throne, so his stepmother Skye is the one behind Alcazar's organization now with Diego's reassurance that if he was needed as a figurehead or an intimidator for her, he'd do it in a heartbeat but he did not want to be involved in the day to day goings on of his father's mob by any means.
Johnny Zacchara was released from Pentonville recently after the parole board deemed him 'a reformed criminal'. While he did return to Port Charles, he immediately stepped down from his grandfather's organization because the time in prison gave him the clarity to realize that he didn't give a flying fuck what happened to everything the man worked so hard to build. The power scramble that resulted was quickly settled when Johnny basically made a deal with Skye, via Diego, and turned over nearly everything his grandfather had been responsible for creating. He's now the co-owner of the Haunted Star with Ethan Lovett, having brought out Lulu's stake in the boat the year before he was sent to prison. He's recently brought a warehouse down by the docks and he plans to turn it into a second nightclub or a strip club that'll hopefully run Vaughn's right out on a rail, he hasn't truly decided just what he wants to do with it as of yet.
Ethan Lovett is and has been in and out of Port Charles for years now. His most recent return was to attend Luke Spencer's funeral and after doing so, he chose to stick around. He's taken ownership of the Haunted Star and has turned it into a combination of nightspot / casino with the help of Johnny Zacchara. He's also taken to 'treasure hunting ' and for a price, he'll steal artifacts that were stolen from other countries / entities, returning them to their rightful owner or find your treasure for you. He's still very much a grifter because it's just a part of who he is and more recently, he's started taking an odd job here and there as a bodyguard for hire with Diego's security firm. Fight me if you will, I just feel like Ethan is the adventurous type and he loves to take risks, so he's kind of my attempt at an Indiana Jones type.
Griffin Munro works at the hospital as a neurosurgeon. He and Kiki briefly dated but this came to an end when Ava slept with Griffin in one of Griffin's weaker moments. After the breakup with Kiki, Griffin and Ava had a brief fling and as soon as Griffin came to his senses (Gotta love post n*t clarity, amirite?), he realized that he just needed to put some space between himself and Port Charles. A job offer came up for a Chief of Neurology position at a hospital in Atlanta and before the ink was dry on his contact, Griffin was uprooting himself and settling into a life in Georgia. He stayed there until recently, when the loss of the current chief of Neurology at the hospital has Monica Quartermaine reaching out and asking if he'd consider a return. Griffin thought it over and even though he's still not entirely sure it was a good idea, he's returned. He's attempting to return to his faith and to the church as a member only this time, and he's basically just trying to find and forge his own path forward in life while finally putting his past and the mistakes there to rest.
Peter August and Maxie Jones never actually dated. They actually haven't met as Maxie was long gone from Port Charles by the time Peter hit town and she had/has no intention or interest in returning because she's happy with her life in Seattle. Peter did escape prison to go and free his half-brother Nathan from their shared bio father and once he and Dante returned to town with Nathan in tow, Peter went back to prison with every intention of serving his time for the crimes he'd committed and trying to prove to everyone that mattered that he's not the same man he was when he first arrived in town. He was released shortly after, parole board deemed him a reformed citizen capable of returning to the outside world. Upon his release, Peter took the helm of Aurora Media once again and in honor of turning over a new leaf, he's forged a bond with not only his birth mother, Anna, but his half-siblings, including Leora, who he's just recently come to know (no fucking thanks to David Heyward, the rat bastard) . He's a workaholic, same as before. He's also began to write again and this time, instead of his memoirs, he's dipping his toes into the world of suspense / horror and writing something fictional this time around. Getting to know his niece and nephew have shown him that he desperately craves a chance of his own to be the father and the man that his own father couldn't be bothered to. There are people in town who still don't know how to feel about him and he's honestly fine with not being well-liked because he's a loner for the most part. He's recently taken over as editor in chief of the Port Charles Press, so he's finally going to put his journalism degree to use.
Milo Giambetti has left his days as a mobster's bodyguard behind him and he did so happily. The second Diego announced that he was recruiting for his security firm in Port Charles, Milo was one of the first to sign on as a bodyguard. He's taken a job as a trainer at the local gym and like Diego, he competes in fight nights across the state. He's actually won quite a few. He had an agent trying to finesse him into signing a contract for a huge fight but he declined without a second thought because he's just not interested in the fame aspect of boxing, not even slightly. When he's not working or having a boxing match, he's usually found at home in the townhouse that he recently purchased for himself, working on a full restoration with his own bare hands because home remodeling is something he's discovered that he's both interested in and seems to have a knack for.
Michael Quartermaine is doing the single father thing these days. He's managing to balance his place on the board at ELQ with fatherhood and his various other side interests and investments. He's mended the relationship between himself and Morgan completely these days and he's definitely distanced himself from the constant interference of his mother, Carly. He's just recently moved himself out of the Quartermaine mansion and into a townhouse between the one owned by Milo and the one owned by his brother Morgan. If he's not working, he's at the gym and he's usually helping Morgan train for a fight he's got coming up. Michael acts as Morgan's "manager" and helps him book these fights he manages himself to get in.
Morgan Corinthos did not die in the explosion. He never actually stole the car and took it for a joyride, truth be told. However, he was in a car accident around that time and the accident put him in a semi comatose state for two weeks. During this time it was discovered that Ava was replacing his bipolar meds with placebos and Ava was promptly placed in jail / fined and sued by Morgan's parents for her actions. The lawsuit for her crimes spurred Ava to file a lawsuit of her own in response where she attempted to have her daughter Avery taken from Sonny's custody. The case was dismissed and Morgan, in an effort to totally wash his hands of Ava Jerome at last, testified against her, making public the things that Kiki told him she and her sister Roxette had endured during their childhood. Ava was furious with him and when her sentence was handed down, she warned him that he'd suffer consequence as soon as she got a chance to get her revenge. Morgan gives not one flying fuck about this, by the way. He brought Xtreme Autos from Johnny Zacchara and he's now doing what he's always loved, working on vehicles and bikes. When he's not at Xtreme working, he's at the gym boxing or at the firehouse where he's a volunteer fireman. If he's not doing any of these things, he's taking work from Diego Alcazar with his security firm where Morgan works as both a system installer and a bodyguard for hire. Whenever Michael has to make business trips or has meetings or something work related, Morgan takes Wiley and as a result, Morgan is extremely close to his nephew Wiley and Wiley adores him. Morgan has taken the same tac that Michael has with their mother and he's kind of distanced himself a fair bit. Both Morgan and Michael do still have involvement with their mother, but when she tries to butt into their lives, Morgan (and Michael) have zero problem reminding her they're literally grown ass men now and they can handle their lives.
Rafe Kovich Jr did not die. Instead, he served his time in the juvenile facility and quietly left Port Charles, returning to California. He enrolled himself in college and he's got quite a few years of sobriety under his belt at this point. His return to Port Charles comes thanks to Molly's upcoming wedding to TJ Ashford and the decision he makes to settle back down in Port Charles because it feels like the right thing to do. Going with his gut on the decision, Rafe gets himself an apartment off campus (in warehouses that have been renovated and turned into apartments for PCU students at an affordable rate) and he takes a job as a head mechanic at Xtreme Autos. After learning that his credits from the college he attended in California would actually transfer, Rafe enrolled himself and he is currently majoring in Criminology with a specialized interest in Forensics Science and a minor in Video Game Programming and Development because he's always had this neat idea for a video game that he hopes to one day bring to life. He's reconnected with old friend / former lover - crush, Molly Lansing Davis and he's become closer friends with TJ Ashford. He's come to the realization that he kind of fell in love with Ivy Spencer somehow and he's dealing with that, attempting to reconnect with her.
ORIGINAL CHARACTERS DISCLAIMERS / WARNINGS, ETC
The original characters listed below belong to me (or originally could have belonged to GH/OLTL/AMC but those respective shows either abandoned the idea and never went through with them or they were used to a certain age and then never appeared again in the case of Jenny Martin). I've been really trying to make different types of characters, but some of them may seem to have similar vibes / personas, so if this bothers you, just know up front, I'm sorry but also make no apologies at the same time. I'm just a girl with a very drawn out idea for a series / disenchantment with the show said series is based on and am by no means a professional writer. If I were, whew.. It would be bad, I think. There's a reason I stick to fanfiction as opposed to my own original things.
Backgrounds / events and timelines have been and will be altered to fit my characters that I've created / am still creating and this series in no stretch of the imagination is going to be perfectly canon-compliant. Characters may well have troubled pasts / histories / issues with mental health, physical health, addiction, past relationships, etc. If you're the type to prefer a pristine 'too perfect' type, I'm sorry but that's not what you're in store for here.
ORIGINAL CHARACTER CASTING
If you're curious as to whomst I'm picturing as each character, please refer to the 'cover pic' of their story. I'm shit at giving vivid physical descriptions -but I swear I'm trying to get better, I really am- so the cover photo being the OC in question (and maybe their pairing partner if I can figure out the finer points of graphic design just enough to slap a cover together) is what made most sense for me to do.
