If you're curious as to whomst I'm picturing as each character, please refer to the 'cover pic' of their story. I'm shit at giving vivid physical descriptions -but I swear I'm trying to get better, I really am- so the cover photo being the OC in question (and maybe their pairing partner if I can figure out the finer points of graphic design just enough to slap a cover together) is what made most sense for me to do.

Even though she was happy with her husband Nash and she did love him, she didn't love him as much as she thought she should. Like… She just never felt that spark. She shoved this down though, because she's a pessimist by nature and she convinced herself that the 'spark' is only found in movies or in books like the ones her best friend writes. This made her grief so much worse because for a while, she's been telling herself that she lost Nash because she didn't love him like he deserved.

Googled Diego once on a lark (pre-Nash) and damn near choked on a jellybean.

History

Adele Liliana Corinthos was born on May 28th in Port Charles NY to Sonny and Lily Corinthos. Prior to Adele's birth, Sonny had been contemplating leaving Lily for Brenda Barrett and just quietly leaving town. Lily was unaware of this when she tells Sonny she's pregnant. She tells Sonny she's pregnant and Sonny's over the moon. He decides to stay with Lily and their child and be a father and for a while, things seem to be going great. At some point during the pregnancy, Lily learns what Sonny's original plans were and she decides that she can't stay with Sonny knowing that he'll never return the love she gives him so openly and freely. She begins to make herself an exit strategy and despite it being rather extreme, it's honestly the only way she can think about safely extracting herself and her unborn child from the situation in a way that she knows Sonny most likely won't ever think to look for either of them. She starts to work with someone to stage her own death. The only problem with this plan is that every time she thinks she can do it, she backs out at the last second. She goes into labor at midnight on May 27th and Adele is born nearly 9 hours later, in the early morning hours of May 28th. As all of this is taking place, Hernando Rivera is discovering that his son in law wasn't fulfilling his duties as a husband and Hernando decides to take action, not realizing what he's setting in place. He arranges for a bomb to be placed into Sonny's car. His thought process was that Sonny would be the one driving because Lily rarely drove this particular car. He calls his daughter to warn her and Lily sees an exit strategy. She tells him what she's been planning and the two conspire to get Lily and Adele out of Port Charles safely and permanently. Three days later, when Sonny and Lily stop by Luke's nightclub to let Luke meet his godchild, the car Sonny had driven explodes, presumably with Lily and Sonny's 3 day old daughter Adele inside. Hernando helps Lily and Adele leave town quietly and Lily goes her own way.

Adele is raised by a single Lily, and for the most part, her life is normal and safe. A far cry from what Lily feared it could've been if she'd stayed with Sonny. Lily tries to work through her broken heart and eventually, she meets another man and they fall in love and marry. Lily's new husband adopts Adele and treats her as his own and Adele forms a bond with the man in question. Years pass blissful and peaceful and Lily's almost certain that there's no way the mob can touch her or her daughter because she's long since cut ties with her father Hernando and Sonny thinks they're both dead..

Adele is growing into a bright and beautiful 16 year old girl when tragedy strikes. Adele, her adoptive father and her mother are on the way home from one of Adele's dance recitals when their car is run off the road. During the resulting accident, Adele is knocked unconscious and luckily, she's thrown from the car, out of sight and out of danger. Her mother and the man she thought to be her father were killed, though local PD keep vague whether it was due to the accident or foul play.

As this is happening, Hernando is learning that certain members of his organization are about to attempt a coup and take over the organization because they don't like the way he does things and believe he's gotten old and messy. Realizing -too late, that Lily might well be in danger, he does something that he feels he has no choice but to do. He makes a call to Sonny, explaining what's going on and what he helped Lily do and the reason why he helped Lily fake the death of herself and their child, but he doesn't do it quickly enough. Sonny doesn't believe Hernando until he does some looking into it at the urging of his father, his best friend Jason Morgan and his new wife, Carly Corinthos. He discovers that Hernando was telling the truth and he goes to find Lily and Adele to try and coax them into going into hiding. He arrives in Miami just in time to learn that Lily and her new husband, the man who raised Sonny's child as his own were involved in an automobile accident and they were killed. He's told that the accident is being treated as a homicide and that his daughter has been placed in Miami Dade General as she sustained a few injuries during the accident. The first time Adele sees her father is when she wakes up in a hospital bed and Sonny has to tell her the most painful thing she'll probably ever hear, so obviously, they have a bit of a tense relationship at first. After Sonny proves that he's her father, Miami's child protective services allows Adele to leave with him and go back to Port Charles to live.

Upon her arrival, she's introduced to Sonny's new wife Carly and her sons, Michael and Morgan. Sonny explains that he adopted Michael and that Morgan is her biological half brother. Adele is wary of them all at first and she keeps her distance. She's grieving the loss of her mother and the man she honestly believed was her actual father. She's having to adjust to new people and new surroundings. She's learning that everything she thought she knew about her life was apparently a lie and this doesn't sit well with her at all. It takes time to work through all of this. Sonny enrolls Adele in Madison Prep. Adele can't go back to cheerleading or soccer because of the injuries still not being fully healed. She does take up debate and joins the drama club. She meets local teenager Georgie Jones while attending a festival at the park and the two become fast friends. Through Georgie, Adele meets Damian Spinelli, Maxie Jones, Sage Alcazar and Diego Sanchez (later revealed to be Alcazar also) as well as Lulu and Ekaterina Spencer. From the word go, there's a sort of magnet pull to Diego but Adele fights it because Diego's earned himself quite the reputation and Adele feels like she'd never be his type.

Adele's injuries heal and she's able to try out for the cheerleading team at Madison Prep. She tries to talk Sonny into taking her out of Madison Prep because she feels like she doesn't fit in there, (She's used to public school and as soon as certain classmates discovered that she came from a poorer public school in Miami, this made it difficult to make friends and she was teased a lot, constantly having confrontations with classmates), but Sonny absolutely refuses because he feels like Madison Prep is better and safer than Port Charles High (in that he has pull here, he can send bodyguards to school with Adele if he has to). She explains that she can't make friends and the girls there are really bitchy and Sonny's paternal instincts go into overdrive. He still refuses to take her out of the school, but now that he's aware of the situation, he's on high alert. As a way to placate her, he does allow her to hang out with the friends she's made from Port Charles High as much as she wants to and this is something that Adele takes advantage of to it's fullest. She spends nearly every weekend at the home of Georgie Jones or at the Spencer home, with Ekaterina. Instead of attending the Homecoming dance for Madison Prep, she attends the homecoming dance for Port Charles High, leaving with Georgie and Ekaterina only to meet up with Damian Spinelli who was her 'blind date' at the dance. She does share one dance with Diego, because he asks her to dance while Spinelli's in the bathroom. (If anyone's curious, the biggest reason she never actually attempted to make her feelings for Diego more well known has everything to do with the fact that she felt like Georgie was better for him and she felt like doing so would hurt her best friend, so she kept it to herself and continues to do so.)

Adele gets caught up in the TMK murders purely by accident shortly after graduation.. Cruz discovered that two girls were the chink in Diego's armor and so, he went after them both because god forbid, he let his twin have anything, right? Anyway, Adele is attacked around the same area that Maxie was attacked in and she fights back, putting up an impressive fight. The fight is overheard / witnessed by her grandfather Mike, luckily and after Mike comes back out of his diner with a handgun and fires off a warning shot, Cruz / the TMK flees the scene. Sonny is worried for Adele's safety, so he tells her that he's been thinking and he feels like maybe she needs to do herself a favor and give herself a year or two of travel before she goes any further in college. Adele disagrees and the two butt heads. Adele storms out and straight into who she believes to be Diego, but is actually Cruz. She's crying and upset and ranting and at one point she even picks up a garbage bin and kinda chucks it at something while saying that the TMK is fucking up her entire life and she's not even sure why she's a target to begin with because she literally goes above and beyond not to piss anyone off, given her father's 'godfather' status in Port Charles and the stigma that comes with it. Cruz realizes that she believes he is his twin, so he uses this to his advantage. He kind of holds her close and starts talking real quiet and slow, getting her calmed down again. Something is kind of tugging at him about her (and no, this is absolutely not a good thing but it is important for the future) and he kind of feels this strong pull. She asks him why he's not with Georgie hanging out and he just kind of doesn't answer and this is when Adele kind of feels like something is off. She pushes it out of her head because at the time, nobody was really aware that Diego had himself an identical twin, so she just thinks it's on her end. They walk around Angel Square talking. The more they talk, the more Cruz starts to realize that Adele is totally oblivious to the way his twin feels about her. And she's hell bent on never telling his twin how she feels about him because she thinks that Georgie is in love with him and she'd literally rather chop off a limb than hurt or betray one of the few close friends she has. Cruz also realizes that he absolutely cannot go through with his original plan to kidnap both young women and force his twin into choosing who lives or dies. Like, he just knows he can't kill Adele. He tells her that maybe she should take her father's advice and points out that there's a big world out there beyond Port Charles. Adele kind of quietly thanks him and thinks about it while they're walking and when she receives a text from her stepmother, she tells him she needs to go back. She hugs him and hurries home. After talking to Sonny, she agrees to leave town and travel, with the caveat that he'll call her the second the TMK is a thing of the past. He promises to do so. After she tells all her friends what's going to happen, Georgie and Ekaterina tell her she's getting a going away party whether she wants it or not.

The night of her going away party, she thanks Diego for what he told her when they talked and Diego kind of passively asks what she means (without being direct, because something is off because he hadn't seen her in a few days, so he was wondering what she meant) and Adele assumes it's because he's had a drink or two and his memory is fuzzy, so she replays the conversation. Diego realizes someone pretended to be him and the wheels start turning in his mind. He sees how excited she is to be going on her trip so he doesn't really break it to her that he didn't tell her to do this, if it were up to him, he never would have told her maybe it was a good idea to leave town. He also realizes that maybe he does feel a lot stronger feelings towards Adele than he originally thought. As Adele's leaving the party, Diego gets her off to himself and he lays one hell of a goodbye kiss on her. It's a kiss he'll feel conflicted about especially when not even a month later, Georgie Jones is killed by the TMK.

Adele leaves Port Charles and for the first few weeks of her little trip, she does actually go to Europe and travel throughout. After she's been to places like London and Paris, Amsterdam and Denmark, she returns to the US. While she'd been gone, her father and Mac, Georgie's father had been trying to get hold of her to tell her what happened with Georgie. When they're finally able to, Adele is crushed and she wants to come back right away but Sonny tells her that the TMK is still at large and the last thing he wants is to lose her because Sonny's afraid that the TMK will set their sights on Adele all over again and he knows that the TMK has gotten the best of bodyguards / security in the past, it happened with Carly's live in nanny and Emily. Adele is not happy with this, but she realizes that her father is only trying to keep her safe. She stays away. And in the long run, staying away becomes easier and easier than having to go back and deal with the grief she felt at losing a best friend who was like a sister to her.

She does return just after Cruz has been caught and thrown in Pentonville serving back to back life sentences without a chance of parole. Diego has also left town, due to the accusations and the grief he felt at losing Georgie. Adele enrolls in PCU and starts to work on a major in Accounting, with a minor in Dance. She also gets her Cosmetology license, because she's always liked doing hair and makeup and feels that if she hates the idea of being an accountant, she can fall back on becoming a dance instructor or opening her own salon. She spends time with her family, reconnects with Ekaterina when Ekaterina visits for a while. She does start doing the books for her grandfather's diner because it's a way to help the man out and spend time with him, but deep down, she just feels restless. She feels like she just needs to go out and make her own way in life. Adele leaves town again around 2014 and this time, it's supposedly for good, with promises to come back and visit often.

Adele moves to Florida, settling down in Miami, where she lived with her mother and adoptive father. She decides that she'd really rather work at something she enjoys than be a slave to the grind, so she takes a job with a salon doing hair and makeup and she focuses herself on her lifelong passion of dancing and gymnastics. She starts doing small parts in 'community theater' too, and she finds that she enjoys it. She returns to Port Charles now and then for quick visits, and she keeps in touch with her family as much as possible. Every time she's in town, she puts 12 yellow roses on Georgie's grave and stays at the graveside for an hour or two talking to her. Telling her how life is going. At some point, Adele takes a second job as a dance and gymnastics instructor at the gym that's 2 blocks away from her house. She creates an Instagram a Tik Tok and a Snapchat so that she can keep in touch with her siblings and Ekaterina better. This starts a back and forth between herself and Ekaterina with gymnastics and flexibility or dance challenges.

Adele meets Nash Diaz (for visuals, think Alex Meraz aka Paul Lahote from Twilight) in 2016, a naval aviator and the two begin a relationship. After dating for nearly two years (2018), Nash proposes and Adele accepts. They move into a house on base in Miami and 9 months later, Adele gives birth to their daughter Georgia. Life seems like it's finally fallen into place for Adele and her family comes to Florida to visit and meet Georgia and spend time with her, which makes her happy. Life continues this way until late 2020. Nash is sent out with other members of his troop on a mission and doesn't return. The wreckage of his plane is found and his wallet and wedding band are found in the wreckage and this is enough for the Navy to presume him deceased.

Adele is distraught and everything feels like an open wound. She tries to shoulder through her grief for the sake of her daughter and for the most part, it works. But the more time she spends in Miami, the more she comes to realize that while the weather is ideal and the scenery is nice, Miami was tainted for her long before she lost Nash. The realization prompts her to pack up and return to Port Charles in early 2022. Currently, she's living in a townhouse at the end of the block that her brothers both live on and she's taking the first steps in opening her own beauty salon. She's raising her daughter and just trying to get back on her feet. She's reconnected with Ekaterina, who has also moved back to Port Charles on a permanent basis and she's named Ekaterina Georgia's godmother.
