One sentence description:

If you're curious as to whomst I'm picturing as each character, please refer to the 'cover pic' of their story. I'm shit at giving vivid physical descriptions -but I swear I'm trying to get better, I really am- so the cover photo being the OC in question (and maybe their pairing partner if I can figure out the finer points of graphic design just enough to slap a cover together) is what made most sense for me to do.

Ages & Backstory may have been toyed with here to make things fit and flow as cohesively as humanly possible. Sorry up front if this bothers anyone.

General

Full Name: Theodora Yvette McCall (Jerome-Davis)

Reason for name: Theodora was actually a compromise between Julian and Alexis. They both loved the name Theodore for a boy, - a bit of a cutesy young lovers thing here, but then they discovered that Theodora was going to be a girl, so they regrouped. They discussed and Theodora was chosen as a name.

Nickname: Theo or Yvette

Reason for nickname: Shortened version of her first name / her middle name, which she goes by as an acceptable nickname because it sounds professional.

Birthday: December 25

Currently living in: Port Charles, NY

Eye colour: Hazel

Distinguishing Features: Most people tend to notice Theo's eyes before they notice anything else.

Preferred Clothing: Neat but make it casual. She always looks well put together.

Accessories: Earrings, the Apple watch, a good pair of heels and her signature rum raisin shade of the new Deception lipstick.

Health

General health: It's pretty good. Aside from the occasional migraine, PMS hitting her a little too hard sometimes, she's alright.

Posture: Excellent posture.

Any physical illnesses?: Not really. A slight limp now and then when the weather's making an old leg injury flare up, but nothing serious.

Any mental illnesses?: She has suffered -does still suffer, actually, from bouts of depression and an addictive type personality. Alcohol is her vice of choice.

Take drugs?: Nooope.

Act before thinking/Think before acting?: Think before acting. Truth be told, she actually overthinks.

Conversation

Way of speaking: Very formal and polite, she sounds well educated in conversation and loves to throw around big words from time to time, especially if she's in the company of someone she's either trying to annoy or impress.

Common conversation starter: Hahaha, surely you jest. This woman is far too busy to be starting conversations on her own. If she were, it'd be something about the weather/local news/etc.

Swears?: Only when she's frustrated, upset, panicking or furious. Then that temper comes in spades and she speaks fluent sailor with a heavy trucker accent.

Made-up words?: Nope.

Made-up language?: She doesn't really 'remember' it, but she and Sam devised a code language for the time they spent in the McCall household. If Sam said certain phrases, Theo knew it meant that it was for the best that she stay out of the way and/or quiet or that Cody had returned -minus the money for basic necessities like food or rent, and they'd most likely be leaving again. Like I said, she tries hard to block all of that trauma out. Especially the parts of her childhood spent with Evelyn after Evelyn left the family and took Danny along with her as well as Theo.

Secrets

- When Cody and Evelyn split up, Evelyn took both Danny McCall and Theodora. She did this because Theodora was the child she'd actually wanted to adopt from the beginning.. Gradually, the resentment over the way Helena screwed her over monetarily took over though, so this feeling changed.. Evelyn took to drinking / doing soft drugs and several other things that served to make Theo's childhood just a little more forgettable, the worst of these including the time that she spent all the rent money on d*ugs and left the three of them without a home for nearly a year. Theo does not talk about all of this, but it does weigh heavily on her mind.

- Struggles with alcohol. She started drinking as a teenager as a way to 'loosen up' and be numb (relates strongly to the secret above, Evelyn's behavior got worse with each year that passed) and to this day, she still struggles with alcohol. Most recently, this secret has become public, as she and her mother both realized they had a problem with alcohol abuse around the same time, however, there were different incidents that incited each of their realizations. Hers being a very irritated / frustrated / angry rant at a family event directed mostly at Sam.

- (also relates strongly to the above secret about her alcoholism) During a drunken Spring Break weekend, she got 'married' to a man named Zane that she'd only known for the duration of the week she spent in Vegas with her friends. This will come back around, as she didn't really 'remember' doing it and thus, never made her way around to getting the damn thing annulled.

- The 'only fans' thing I mentioned above is also a secret. She's making a fair bit of money in this side hustle and it's not inherently 'sexual' in nature as most accounts on the platform are, she just dresses a bit more provocatively and dances for people / talks to them when they're lonely, frustrated, etc. She's also been known to take money and dispense on the fly law-related advice for a fee on her page.

History

(Making a major revision to Sam's history here, bear with me. Instead of Sam being adopted out at birth, Sam and Theo were kidnapped. Julian and Alexis went on the run to attempt escaping having to give up their daughter(s) for adoption.)

Theodora Yvette McCall was born Theodora Yvette Jerome-Davis on December 25th in Chatham, Maine to Julian Jerome and Alexis Davis. Samantha, the couple's first born was 7 when Theodora was born and she was ecstatic to be a big sister, doting on and very protective of her baby sister from the word go. Julian and Alexis had settled down in Chatham and were establishing a normal, stable and peaceful life for their children, so they were thrilled to be having another daughter and all of the rockiness in their relationship began to really even out and disappear with the news of Theodora's incoming birth.

However, this happy event was quickly shadowed with tragedy. On the morning that Alexis and Julian were due to bring Theodora home from the hospital, something truly horrible happened. A nurse named Evelyn Bass was approached by none other than Helena Cassadine and paid dearly to somehow get her both of Alexis' daughters. Evelyn had a son with severe mental deficiencies and money was tight, what little she did manage to come by was quickly taken and blown through by her husband, Cody McCall, a con man. So when this woman offered up such a large sum of money to kidnap the two girls for her, -and the sob story to go along with it about Alexis and Julian being bad parents and her merely being a concerned grandparent who wanted the best for her girls, Evelyn discussed the potential scheme with her husband that night and Cody agreed to go along with it.

Evelyn and Cody managed to get both girls and promptly turned them over to Helena a week later. And both parties thought this was the last they'd see of the two girls, sadly, they'd come to be wrong. When Helena finished reprogramming Sam, she realized that Alexis and Julian were on to what might have happened, so to cover her tracks, she approached the couple again. Evelyn and Cody had made no secret when they turned over the two girls to Helena that they'd jump at the chance to adopt Theodora, the infant. Helena laid her cards out on the table and proposed that they take both girls instead of just the one. She claimed to be desperate because she was "dying" and she'd rather die a slow and painful death than have the two girls return to their parents. (A side note here, Sam wasn't actually fully bra*nwashed. She was going along with Helena and trying to plan an escape for the two of them so they could go back to their parents.) Evelyn looked at the two girls and saw a chance to have another baby of her own and maybe make a little money to put up and replenish the savings that Cody had yet again wiped out on his schemes and cons, so she told Helena that she'd take both girls if Helena was willing to give her money to keep quiet / take care of the girls. She explained that there would be a lot of questions, going from only having a son to having a son and two daughters, and she thought that Helena ate it up.

Helena ditched the two girls and never made good on the promise for more money, disappearing to God only knew where. From the word go, Sam was a handful. Angry and confused about being separated from her parents and not only this, Sam was entirely too protective of Theo, her baby sister. This caused serious issues between Evelyn and Sam and Evelyn and Cody's marriage started to feel the tension of having two more mouths to feed and literally none of the money they'd been promised. Evelyn managed to hang on until Theodora was 3 and then she left with Danny and Theodora while Samantha was in school and Cody was gone on one of his long stints away from the home.

If Cody hadn't happened to return that night, Sam would've been able to escape and go home somehow. Cody returned and convinced Sam that her parents didn't want her, this is how they even wound up with the two girls in the first place. He concocted some story that to a young and impressionable Sam had to be true and he drilled it into her head. Cody and Sam began to bond as father and daughter and Sam just eventually came to accept that this was her life now, there was no going back to her parents, no matter how much she might have wanted to in the past. If they didn't want their own daughters, what was the point in even trying? As far as Evelyn leaving, Sam vowed that as soon as she was able, she was going to track down Evelyn and confront her with the story Cody had given her about Evelyn only ever wanting to adopt Theodora to begin with and then treating all 3 of her children like they were toys to be played with and ignored once she was tired of being a mother as she'd began to do shortly before leaving.

Meanwhile, Evelyn filed for divorce and quietly settled in Rhode Island with Danny and Theodora and she fed them her own version of events. Life was hard for Evelyn and 'her chosen two children', but Evelyn tried to look at it as she was sparing Theodora a potentially worse life filled with constant danger due to her father being a known mobster according to the mysterious old lady. Evelyn got a job at the local hospital as a nurse as she'd been in Maine and she put Danny into special education classes at the local elementary school. Theodora went to daycare until she was old enough to go to kindergarten. Theodora was a quiet child, one who rarely argued and very, very solemn. Very observant. As she got a little older, she began to ask questions about her older sister, Sam. Evelyn told her that Sam and Cody didn't want them anymore and led Theodora to believe that she'd been thrown out with Danny and Theodora and the clothes on her back. For years, Theodora believed this. And perhaps the story is the biggest reason why Theodora never really did much in the way of misbehaving as a child. She was afraid that if she did, Evelyn wouldn't want her anymore either. Danny grew protective of his 'sister' and whenever Evelyn would come home after a night out drinking, he'd hide her away in her closet upstairs. Sam had done this for the two of them when they'd been a family and she'd always told Danny that if she weren't around and something happened with Cody and Evelyn's fighting, then Danny needed to make sure Theodora was protected. And he was the kind of kid who kept his promise, so this is what he did. He endured Evelyn's drunken rants and raves until she'd pass out and then he'd let Theodora come down, he'd make her peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and he'd tell her that she was okay, that he was sorry if his mom scared her.

Danny figured out the truth about Samantha and Theodora purely by accident. Evelyn blurted it out during one such night. Danny filed it away and eventually, forgot all about it. Evelyn's cold and distant attitude began to return when she realized that Theodora was growing up, and it began to get to a point where both Danny and Theodora were left to fend for themselves while Evelyn worked as much as she could just to stay away from the two because she was starting to feel the old resentment towards her deal with Helena and the way she got fucked over plus all the medical expenses for her son Danny were really starting to weigh her down. By this time, Theodora was 12, approaching her teen years. And she was definitely starting to pick up on the coldness Evelyn showed towards her and her "older" brother, Danny. At first she tried to bend over backwards, doing anything she could to make the woman's life easier thinking that maybe if she did this, Evelyn would start to warm towards the two of them again. When Evelyn didn't and she began to lock Danny away in the smallest of the bedrooms in their dilapidated house for days at a time, Theodora began to distance herself from Evelyn and started to do everything she could do to be kinder to Danny. When Evelyn was gone, Theodora would let Danny out and make him meals. She'd tell him about her school day, she'd admit that the other kids were always bullying her for one thing or another and that one day, she just wanted to get out of Rhode Island, go somewhere so far away and really make something out of her life.

The teasing and bullying got worse as she entered junior high school and by the time Theodora reached high school, between the way Evelyn treated both herself and Danny, the teasing and bullying and all the lies Evelyn fed her about Cody throwing the three of them out years prior, Theodora was just biding her time. Waiting on her chance to get out of Rhode Island, maybe go somewhere she could be happy and feel safe for once. Things started to get to Theodora in such a way that she found herself taking solace in the alcohol Evelyn kept stashed around the house whenever Evelyn was out by the time she reached high school. One night, as she was upstairs nursing a bottle of Pinnacle and studying, doing her homework, when she heard a commotion downstairs. She rushed into the closet as per usual and covered her ears. This time, it was Sam, the older sister she thought had chosen to stay with Cody when Cody 'threw the three of them out' years prior. There was a fight downstairs and as soon as Theodora figured out that Sam was there, she rushed out with every intention to drunkenly confront her sister and defend Danny, who she thought Sam was downstairs being mean to for whatever reason.

What she walked in on was something that blew her mind. She walked in just as Sam and Evelyn were in a very heated and borderline physical altercation and Sam was revealing the truth she'd only just discovered (remembered, actually) for herself. She and Evelyn got into a fight and as soon as the truth clicked for Theodora, she did as Sam asked and she went to let Danny out of the room Evelyn was keeping him locked away in at night / whenever she was in the house too.

During their efforts to leave the house behind, Danny knocked over a candle and a fire broke out in the house. The three fled the scene and Sam took Danny to a special school she'd found for people with his particular mental handicap. She promised to come back and visit and she swore he'd be safest at that school, that this was the best she could do for him. The two sisters left Danny in the school and left town.

Sam was in her con artist era by this time. The cons she'd pull and the marks she chose were all with the specific goal to provide for both her younger sister and their adoptive brother Danny in the school Sam had chosen for him. Sam enrolled Theodora in high school in every new town so they were moving at least twice a year. Theodora didn't like all the moving around, but she was grateful to be away from Evelyn, to finally know the whole truth, even about their own real parents choosing to give them to complete strangers instead of keeping them both, so she accepted it as best as she could. Sam's memories were what drove her to start looking into where their real parents went.

Theodora's drinking in private continued. However, she continued to excel in school, getting to the top of her class easily. For her 17th birthday, she begged Sam to stay in one place at least until she could graduate with the same class. Sam didn't want to, so they came to an arrangement. Sam would go her own way, but she'd send money to Theodora every other week and for emergencies. She also gave Theodora a few 'burner' cards just in case she couldn't get in touch with her and she really needed something. Sam left (They were in Key Largo around this time) and Theodora remained in Florida, finishing high school and getting herself a job at a diner near the apartment they'd been living in. Theodora also took on other jobs, tutoring students in her class, babysitting, anything she could do to bring in extra money for herself. This goes without saying, Theodora gained herself quite the reputation in her graduating class as "the wild one" because she was always easy to talk into throwing a house party and her parents never seemed to "care" what she did, so she just kind of got to do whatever she wanted, her classmates not realizing her living situation at home because Theodora was a loner at her core and really didn't have any actual true friends, just people she'd talk to / help with their homework, etc…When she graduated, Sam took a huge risk and returned to Florida to privately watch her walk the field and be named the graduating class Valedictorian. And she felt even more pulled to try and find their real parents yet again when she listened to her sister's speech and realized that not only had they missed out on her own more formative years, but they'd completely missed out on the life of her little sister.

Right after graduation, Theodora decides that she's going to take a year -or two, and she's going to save up so that she can pay for as much of her education as she can. The problem with this is that none of her current 'jobs' are really making her that much money. She's talking to an old "acquaintance" of hers from high school and this "acquaintance" points her in the direction of a club that's just opened in their town. Theodora takes a job at this club and this is where she realizes that she truly enjoys dancing and being on a stage as it allows her to let her inhibitions go and loosen up a little. She continues working the club and enrolls in college, getting herself a little apartment after she relocates to a second location as one of the 'lead dancers' in Miami.

When she chooses a major, she decides that she wants to become a lawyer, because being on the debate team in high school made her realize that "arguing" was something she enjoyed and was rather good at. She realizes that law school is at least a 7 year commitment and she buckles down, working her ass off to catch up to her peers and earn herself a spot in the law program. Briefly, she gets involved with a man named Zane Roberts that she meets while in Vegas with some of the other girls she works with -and classmates of hers from law school, for "spring break" festivities. Zane and Theodora have a whirlwind romance for the week she's in Vegas, (Looots of drinking involved here. This was not my girls finest hour and she was thinking with her heart and her p*y and not her head, of course) that ends with the two getting 'married' as a joke (or so they both think) at a little chapel in Vegas. They go their separate ways after Spring Break ends and Theodora returns to Florida, all her wildness out of her system for a while, focused and refreshed and ready to take on academics and working the club again.

Sam reaches out sometime during all of this and after catching up with her sister, she tells Theodora the reason for her call. The reason is a double whammy. Not only is Sam pregnant and married to known New York mobster Jason Morgan, but she's also managed to find their mother. Theodora is thrown for a loop by all of her older sister's news, because while she'd heard the truth from Evelyn and Sam that night that the house burned down in Rhode Island, she'd never really known whether to believe it or not, because unlike Sam, she didn't have any memories of their parents. Sam admits that things are strained between herself and their mother and that this is due to their half sister Kristina being gravely ill and Alexis needing stem cells and Sam's unborn child being a match. (In my version of events, this is NOT what causes the events that lead to "lila's death/kidnapping, but that's for her bio, not here)

Intrigued, Theodora decides to make the trip to Port Charles to stay with her sister and meet the woman Sam tells her is their real mother, Alexis. She arrives in town just days after her niece supposedly dies. Sam is crushed and Theodora decides that she needs to stick close to her because of it. During this, she and Alexis meet and attempt to bond. Things are strained because of the situation with their young half sister and what Alexis asked of Sam to help Kristina, but Theodora kind of gets the feeling there's a lot more to the story than either woman is willing to let on. Theodora winds up enrolling in law school at PCU and after a few years of bonding with the tension disappearing between Theodora and her mother, Alexis asks her to come to work at Mason,Petrovich and Miller. Theodora agrees but tells her mother that she wants to earn cases on her own merit, not solely because she happens to be the daughter of one of the silent partners. These are terms that Alexis can accept.

Theodora is currently settled in Port Charles and she has been for quite some time now. She's been tasked with more cases lately, as she's finally finished law school and is now an active member of the American Bar Association. She specializes in family court. And more recently, just to spice up her life a little bit, she's made herself a super private 'only fans' account. She and Alexis were both forced to own up to their alcoholism about two years ago and both have since started to go to AA and family therapy sessions together. This has really done amazing things for their bond as mother and daughter.

When Theodora isn't working, she's doing her side hustle (dancing/talking to strangers on that forum profile for money) or she's spending time with her sisters, niece and nephew.
