The day came for Lexington to meet his rescuer, who was still in bed, sleeping. He jerked awake, seeing his door opening and three people coming in, two human and one alien girl, dressed in rather, uh, interesting clothing. Lex tried to keep himself from staring.
The dark brown haired man smiled. "Nice to see you doing better, Lexington, am I right? I'm Anakin Skywalker," he greeted. Lex was a bit speechless, actually meeting the father of Luke, was quite overwhelming.
"And this is Obi-Wan Kenobi and my Padawan, Ahsoka Tano." He said, gesturing to the others. Lex grinned nervously, nodding at them.
Ahsoka had a warm smile on her lips. "Welcome to the Jedi Temple, Lexington. I hope you're feeling well enough to eventually have a tour?" Lexington nodded, heart fluttering at the sound of her voice. It was so friendly and warm, feeling butterflies in his stomach.
"Um, sure, head's not throbbing so much anymore," Lex stated, touching it and it seemed to feel fine. He also felt alright to get out of bed. Lex sat up, feeling a little nervous about his first steps but Ahsoka went over to help him get his bearings. Once he got the hang of walking around as a human, he was able to walk well enough on his own. Ahsoka grinned.
"Shall we?" She asked. Feeling his face flushing just a tad, Lexington nodded, taking her hand and she guided him out.
Once he was out of the medical ward, Lex couldn't help but gasp a little at the structure of the Temple; it was really majestic and huge. He saw other Jedi walking about. The former gargoyle felt awe at everything. Ahsoka gave him a little lecture of the Temple, how it was founded and such.
The first place they visited was the library, where the Jedi, mostly ones in training, studied before heading out onto the field.
"If you wish to become a Jedi, you will be able to read through these," Anakin said. Lex was confused. "Uh, but, I don't have the Force, don't I?" He mumbled awkwardly. Obi-Wan gave him a serious look. "The medics took some blood to see if you housed Medichlorians, and you appeared to contain a high concentration of it." This sent shock into the small gargoyle/human. Was that probably why he was able to do some things his brothers couldn't?
He backed up a bit. "I'm not sure if I want this, my cl-family is probably missing me right now. Plus I shouldn't be here!" Ahsoka gave him a concerned look.
"It's ok for you to feel like this, Lexington. But we can give you time to think about it. If that is ok with you," the Togruta suggested. Lex gave a little smile, happy that they wouldn't force him to make any decisions yet. Though he figured it couldn't be all bad to be a Jedi if it meant protecting the innocent like his clan did. He nodded. "Thanks, Ahsoka." Ahsoka smiled back at him with Anakin nodding to his apprentice, when they continued the tour.
Their next stop was where the Younglings trained, and currently Yoda was instructing them. Lex's eyes lit up again at the sight of the lightsabers, still wondering what kind of color his could be should he decide to be a Jedi. Master Yoda glanced over to see the group.
"Ah, Younglings! Visitors, we have. Meet the new welcomer, we should. Lexington his name be," the little alien said with his gentle smile. The Younglings waved at the former gargoyle who waved back. He usually liked kids, mostly from his relationship with Alex. Just seeing these children made him feel sad at the idea that he may not see Baby Alex for a long time.
Yoda came to them. "Wounds healed, are they?" He asked. Lex nodded shyly, still finding it hard to grasp he was really seeing the Grand Master Yoda in person. Obi-Wan told him about Lex being offered his choice to be a Jedi. It had barely been a whole afternoon but now that he had more time, Lex thought maybe he could give it a chance. Goliath would like to see one of his members try a new kind of way to protect those who couldn't protect themselves.
Yoda ended up putting his three fingered hand on Lexington's arm. "Sense an unusual non-human presence but human presence about you, I do," he said. Lex felt nervous about revealing his gargoyle genes to him. For he was certain that none of these Star Wars people had seen one before. He swallowed. "Uh, er..." he mumbled. "I-I..." but the alien shook his head.
"Not have to tell us yet, you do, if making you uncomfortable, it does." He said assuringly. This made Lex feel better about it, bowing his head. Ahsoka was curious, though. But she decided not to press him about it.
"Bring you to temporary quarters, they now will," Yoda said. Lex gave a little sigh at the idea of having his own private spot to rest until whatever happens next comes. Lex knew that sooner or later his choice would have to be made. And if he chose the decision to remain, he hoped Goliath and his brothers could be ok without him for a while until he finds a way home.
He was brought to his room. Not so much in it, but it had a window to let sunlight in, a private restroom, and a comfortable bed waiting. Ahsoka left him be to get settled in. Lex lay down upon his new bed, his brain still rattling about what he would choose.
