If you're curious as to whomst I'm picturing as each character, please refer to the 'cover pic' of their story. I'm shit at giving vivid physical descriptions -but I swear I'm trying to get better, I really am- so the cover photo being the OC in question (and maybe their pairing partner if I can figure out the finer points of graphic design just enough to slap a cover together) is what made most sense for me to do.

Reason for name: Ava just liked the name Roxette for some reason. Delila is a play on her mother's first name, Delia.

Reason for nickname: Roxy is the nickname that Kiki gave her that kind of stuck. Blondie is something that Coop calls her to get under her skin for the most part.

Her Apple watch and Iphone because between the two, her entire life is literally stored and she'd never remember another appointment, meeting or phone number without either one. Way of speaking: Roxanne is very soft spoken. She's got this sweet and soft voice that's unintentionally sexy at times and can make her seem like she's flirting/trying to charm someone when she's just not.

Common conversation starter: She gives compliments to start conversations most of the time. Like, she'll compliment something the person is wearing / a physical attribute politely. If they choose to keep the conversation going, cool. If not, she's just being nice anyway.

Secrets

Has always resented her mother for not being an actual mother to any of the children she's managed to procreate thus far. She pushed this feeling down a lot but lately, therapy has her confronting it head on.

Only tried to stop Kiki and Morgan from running off together after meeting online because she did the exact same thing when she was about 17 and the end result was her discovering that the so called 19 year old she'd been talking to was actually a 35 year old who wanted to groom her and the close call scared her into a wakeup. She doesn't talk about the whole incident because it was truly horrible. ( And this older man is not out of her life yet, though this is a secret she doesn't even know for herself.) The sisters fought, Kiki did it anyway and despite this, Roxanne still did her very best to support her sister after everything played out. Because all her mother was going to do was try to steal Morgan away.

Had a miscarriage when she was 18. This was during her wilder years and she doesn't know who the father might have been. She's also at least 95 percent sure that the miscarriage caused some internal reproductive issues that may well prevent her from ever becoming a mother.

AKA, she wants it to be Franco because of her mom's lovers, Franco was the one she felt the closest bond with whenever he was around (gee, I wonder why, hmm) and she's afraid if she takes the DNA test, it'll be literally anyone but him. But she's going to do this soon because therapy is showing her that the truth needs to come out at last.

Government: She hates politics. She tends to believe that they'll all say whatever they have to but they're only saying it to win votes and they'll never actually try to fix anything they promise to.

The system is broken at worst and rigged at best and this is the reason she donates what she doesn't need to launch her own clothing line / open her boutique to various charities she finds worthy or to scholarship funds and the like. History

Roxanne Delia Jerome was born in Manhattan, New York at 12:30 am on November 4th to Ava Jerome. Her father is Franco Baldwin and she is the result of the first one night stand that Franco and Ava ever had. At the time, Ava didn't really know anything about Franco beyond the fact that he was an artist who was getting pretty well known amongst the art world and he was absolutely amazing in bed. She got involved in an on again and off again affair that spanned years with him after losing touch and reconnecting years later when he became a famous artist and she owned the gallery that hosted an exhibit of his paintings. But none of this tells us about little Roxanne, does it?

Roxanne was always headstrong and from the time she learned to talk, she seemed to make it her mission in life to challenge her mother as much and as often as possible because this seemed to be the only way to get Ava to really pay attention to her. When she was 5, she showed an interest in clothing and this was one of few things that mother and daughter could at least slightly attempt building a bond over. Delia, Ava's mother, came to town and visited the two and Roxanne and her grandmother seemed to bond instantly, joined at the hip. Delia, who hadn't ever really been much of a mother to Ava, absolutely doted on Roxanne and if she wasn't calling or sending Roxanne gifts from her own travels or something she saw that she thought Roxanne might enjoy, she was dropping by Ava's penthouse in Manhattan to spend a few days with her granddaughter. Because of this, Roxanne insisted on being called Delia when she began school, much to Ava and the school's chagrin. Roxanne was a very social child and she seemed to make friends easily. These friends weren't from walks of life that Ava approved of, however, and Ava, perhaps in jealousy, decided that the best course of action was to take Roxanne out of the top tier public school that she'd had to resort to at first and place Roxanne into a super exclusive private school and Roxanne absolutely hated every second of this. When the other girls began to attempt bullying her, Roxanne never hesitated to fight back and after quite a few altercations and Ava having to come down to pick her up -and subsequently, having to actually be a mother, Ava decided that the family needed counseling.

( If it matters.. I'm trying to show a slightly less conniving side of Ava. The side we saw when she did try to protect Kiki now and then. All of the stuff above happening between Roxanne and Ava was honestly hurtful for her and she just wanted her kid to like her a little. She was too obtuse to realize that the whole reason Roxanne didn't was due to the fact that Ava was hardly ever present in her life and she could tell Ava was struggling with motherhood, even then.)

Ava and Franco drifted back into each other's lives around the time that Kiki was born and they were on-again and off-again until Kiki was 3. During this time, Roxanne really bonded with Franco, just as any daughter would bond with their father. Franco was the one who noticed her interest in art and got her art supplies. Franco stuck around as long as he could for Roxanne (who he didn't know actually was his daughter) and Kiki, (who he suspected could be his child). When the fighting began and the truth came out about Ava's affair with Silas Clay and Ava admitted that she was planning to leave Franco, Roxanne was crushed. Watching Franco leave the night he left the penthouse was something that stayed with her for years and years to come. Watching her baby sister wander around and cry because "da" wasn't there anymore also hurt like hell and it's a big part of the reason Roxanne really stepped up and became probably the most protective mama bear of an older sister that anyone could ever ask for. It's also the biggest reason that Roxanne and Ava's arguments and clash of personality and Roxanne acting out towards her mother continued on into her teenage years. After Ava had been pushed to her breaking point and had it pointed out by Delia and the family therapist that maybe space between the two was a good idea for a while, Ava made a decision that was harder than she thought it would be to make for herself. She sent Roxanne off to a prestigious boarding school. She hoped that it wouldn't be necessary to keep her there for very long, that maybe Roxanne would wake up, she'd beg, she'd straighten herself out, but Roxanne accepted the opportunity and didn't seem to really look back.

This was the final straw between mother and daughter on Ava's end for years to come. Ava began to act as if she only had one daughter and she began to focus all her attention on Kiki, who didn't hate her like Roxanne had for whatever reason. It hurt, but she stuck it out. Roxanne started to return for holidays and school breaks far less. Kiki and Roxanne maintained a close relationship and if Roxanne came at all, it was because Kiki pleaded with her to come home. If she called to speak to anyone at the house, it was Kiki. Roxanne did seem to really straighten herself out, but she still made no real effort to forge a closer bond with her mother. That is, until the night she snuck off campus to a party she had no business being present at, to meet an older man and she called her mother crying and begging for her to come to be with her. Ava's iron will to keep walls up between the two was broken in seconds and Ava arrived at the party to pick up her daughter.

Roxanne decided to return home, finish out her school year in a private school in Manhattan. She and Ava finally start to bond, she works through everything she went through with her little 'relationship' that scared her so badly she left boarding school and she got to spend more time with Kiki. She revealed to her mother that she wanted to become a fashion designer or work in the fashion industry when she got out of college and Ava was happy that she seemed to be finding some kind of direction in life. Mother and daughter began to resume therapy sessions together and work through past issues and for a while, everything was going amazing. Roxanne began dating a guy named Blake Rustin and the two seemed almost inseparable at times. When Roxanne went off to college, Blake remained in Manhattan to work at his father's brokerage firm since he wanted to make partner and take over one day. Roxanne and Blake tried to make things work long-distance and they seemed to be happy, it seemed to be going smoothly, with Roxanne coming home for visits. It was during one of these visits that she came home unannounced and found her mother and Blake in bed together. Roxanne was devastated and she completely shut down. She shut her mother and Blake out of her life entirely and for quite a few years, she avoided coming to visit her mother unless she absolutely had to.

Kiki entered college and chose a college near the one Roxanne attended. The sisters got an apartment together and bonded even closer than they'd previously been bonded. Roxanne began working as a barista at a coffee house in their little college town and often, the two sisters would get dressed to the nines and go out on the town together. It was during one of these girls night outings that an agent -the same one who represents Rosalie Baldwin, fyi, approaches Roxanne about her thoughts on becoming a model or an actress. If she really thought about it, model was getting her foot in the door of the industry she was busting her ass to work in and it might just make things easier for her in the long run. Bearing the thought in mind, Roxanne signed a contract with the agency the man worked for and began taking small modeling or acting jobs every chance she could.

Ava tried to worm her way back into Roxanne's life, she admitted that she made a terrible mistake and Roxanne did try to see past the hurt and disgust she still felt from her mother's choices but in the end, she simply couldn't. She goes no contact with her mother. Kiki leaves college and goes on the run to be with a guy named CaptainMorgan that she met online in a casino room and Roxanne tries to talk her out of it but fails. The sisters argue and wind up falling out for a few years over the whole thing. Roxanne starts to take more and more work as a model and even a few bit roles in more independent horror/thriller type movies and pretty soon, she's making a name for herself. Making waves, so to speak.

The next time Roxanne sees her mother or her sister is when Kiki calls and begs her to come to Port Charles because she just can't take the fact that they're no longer as close as they used to be and she wants Roxanne to meet Dillon, her new fiance. She does warn that their mother is in town also and quite settled in but Roxanne pretty much tells Kiki that she doesn't care and isn't bothered by this fact any longer. That years have gone by and she's pretty much over what Ava did to her behind her back. Roxanne arrives in town and meets Dillon, gets to know him and catches up with her sister's life as if they were never not involved in each other's lives and the little town charms her, so she buys herself a newly remodeled townhouse in the center of town and settles in.

Art therapy catches her attention and she's looking to finally deal with and put the trauma and hurt of the past behind her and this is how she winds up running into Franco and reconnecting with him. And just like he used to, he begins to encourage her quest to work in the fashion industry, even encouraging her to look at empty locations through town to see if one of them could be a potential boutique to sell clothing that she's already made/designed and take custom orders from.

Presently, Roxanne is involved in an indie slasher film that also stars Rosalie Baldwin and Brooklyn Cerillo and is being directed / was written by Dillon Quartermaine and when she's not on set, she's begun to take custom orders for formal wear / one of a kind clothing pieces from people in town and she's currently looking to open up an actual boutique downtown (near Starla's tattoo / metaphysical shop and Adele's salon, actually) to work out of. She's started to delve into painting more also, thanks to Franco's encouragement and she's discovered that she quite enjoys it.
