Here's my Valentine's Day story for this year. Hope you guys like it.
Today is that time again. Because today is Valentine's Day and love is in the air. Luz would be excited, if there's anyone who want's to be her Valentine. But as usual being an outcast she doesn't have anyone to be with. Other than Willow and Gus of course. But they're already have plans. Willow hanging out with Boscha, while Gus tries to help Matt paying a perfect gift for some girl. As for Luz?
Well, she doesn't have anything better to do. She just wants to wait this day out at the Eda's shop. Because she knows there's no one who'll be interested in her. Luz sadly sighs wishing some Cupid would shoot an arrow at someone. Anyone.
As she opened her locker, a pink enveloped fell out. Raising her brow, she picks it up. Scanning it to see whose it is. It had her name on it. But no name of who send it. Not sure why, she opened it "Would you be my light to my life? Yes or No?" Luz read it out loud.
Luz eyes lit up in surprised. No one ever send her a letter before. Not to mention a card to ask her questions. But the question is… who left it? She looks around to see if anyone is watching. She then looked back at the card.
"I wonder who stunk this in my locker?" Luz thought.
"Hey, Noceda." Luz yelped quickly turned around to see a familiar green-hair girl "What 'ca looking at?"
"Oh, it's you." Luz said in deadpanned "What you want Blight?"
"Just seeing what you're doing. What's that you're holding?" Amity asked seeing the letter which Luz hid behind her back "Have a secret admirer?"
"W-What? Of course, not. Why would you care?"
Amity chuckled "What does it say?" She asked.
Luz exhaled letting out a sigh, taking the letter out "It basically 'Would you be my light of my life' which sounds pretty corny honestly." Luz explained.
"R-Really?" Amity studder.
"Yeah, and to be honest… I don't… know how to respond to that."
"Why? It isn't like it's your first time you got a secret admirer."
Luz sheepishly rubs her neck, which Amity quickly notices "Wait… You… never have a secret admirer, before?"
"Not really. Since no one consider me… well, attractive… or like me. Not at my old school, anyway."
Amity is silent when she listened to Luz sad tone. She cleared her throat "Well… if that's the case. Since its your first secret admirer, what you going to say?" She asked.
Luz looked at her confused "Why? What if it's just some stupid prank?" Luz scoff.
"Hey, never know… if this person really likes you. Like a lot. Ever thought of that?"
Luz is silent, she never really thought about it. Deep in thought she looked at the letter again then smiled "I'll say yes." Luz answered which Amity nearly toppled over "W-What…? Yes what?" She asks confused.
"Yes, I'll be her light of her life, is what I said." Luz answered.
"Oh, well alright that's…" Amity stopped as she looked at her with her brow raised "Wait how you know it's a 'she' Noceda?"
"Because she's the only one who been flirting non-stop since our little scuffle with Glandus High students." Luz handed the letter back to Amity "Plus I recognize the handwriting anywhere. How about we spend more time at the dance next week?"
Amity blushed a little "Y-Yeah… sure! Next week! I would love to!" Amity having a panic.
"Great!" Luz gave a peck on Amity cheek, making her face red "I'll see later, Mittens." Luz walked away.
Amity standing still, trying to progress what just happen. When she opened the letter, the 'Yes' has a check mark. There are also words at the bottom which reads: I'll be the light that guides you to happiness.
Without saying anything, Amity smiles and held it to her chest. Softly chuckling "Wow, what a dork. My little precious dork."
