One sentence description:
If you're curious as to whomst I'm picturing as each character, please refer to the 'cover pic' of their story. I'm shit at giving vivid physical descriptions -but I swear I'm trying to get better, I really am- so the cover photo being the OC in question (and maybe their pairing partner if I can figure out the finer points of graphic design just enough to slap a cover together) is what made most sense for me to do.
Ages & Backstory may have been toyed with here to make things fit and flow as cohesively as humanly possible. Sorry up front if this bothers anyone. *It should be noted that Jenny Martin is a 'crossover' character. She's the daughter of Tad Martin and Krystal Carey-Martin from All My Children. This is just my own little take on a potential story for her. Also, Jenny has been aged way up (to 25) and Michael has been kept at age 25.*

Secrets
Has met Michael before. While Michael and Kristina were on the run, they passed through Pine Valley briefly. Jenny actually hustled Michael in a game of pool at her mother's diner. She kind of lowkey got herself a little crush on the guy, but she kind of shoved it to the backburner because he was just passing through. She just doesn't bring it up now because she assumes that Michael's pretty much forgotten all about the few days they hung out as teenagers.

History
Jenny Martin was born on April 11th to Krystal Carey, who believed at the time that Jenny was the biological daughter of Adam Chandler. At first, Krystal was doing the single mom thing, raising Jenny all by herself while fighting a nasty custody battle with Adam until it was proven that Tad Martin, a former lover, was biologically Jenny's father. Tad and Krystal got back together and shortly after, got married.
Jenny was always a curious kid, she enjoyed puzzles and mysteries. She loved going into the office with her father whenever he'd be working on a case for someone. From an early age she's just always sort of known that she wanted to work in law enforcement. It hasn't ever really wavered at any point in her life. Outgoing, Jenny made friends easily and her best friend became Leora Heyward, the daughter of her mother's ex husband, David. The two were like night and day but it didn't matter at all. More often than not, if you found one girl, you found the other. Jenny's interest in science and sports did make her a bit of a target among some of the more stuck up girls in her grade, but it always just seemed to roll off her back for the most part. Now, if someone were to mess with her uncle A or Leora or anyone else she cared about, they were quick to learn that her hands were rated E for everyone. Krystal had to go down to the school and pick up Jenny on more than one occasion because a verbal confrontation turned physical, but Jenny never actually started any of the fights. She had no problem finishing them, though. As a teenager, Jenny took an after school job as a waitress at her mother's re-opened diner, The Comeback. The locals liked to come in and banter back and forth with her and briefly, she toyed with the idea of taking over when her mom was old. But she knew in her heart that she wanted to work in Forensics.
The summer she turned 17, she was working at the diner as usual. Leora was occupying her usual corner booth, sprawled across it's red leather seat with a strawberry milkshake in her hand and an open Cosmopolitan in front of her when the teenagers from out of town wandered in. This is the day that Jenny Martin officially met Michael Corinthos III of Port Charles, New York as well as his sister Kristina. Jenny led the two to a booth and grabbed them some menus. From the back, Krystal eyed the pair in the booth and when Jenny wandered over to give her mother their order, Krystal asked if she or Leora knew them. When Jenny said she'd never met the guy before in her life, Krystal teased her daughter gently, "He's doin' an awful lot of starin', baby girl." A flustered Jenny returns to their table ten minutes later with the food that Michael and Kristina had ordered. She's about to drop something but Michael jumps up and helps her steady the tray she'd been balancing. They kind of stare at each other. Kristina leaves to go to the bathroom and while she's gone, Michael tells Jenny to sit and rest. Tells her that he's seen her working her ass off, she desrves a break. Jenny kind of laughs it off and nods to the sports car parked outside, asks if it's his. He gives a vague answer about it and Jenny kind of side-eyes him. Michael and Kristina wind up spending a few days in Pine Valley due to weather, and during these few days, Michael seems to seek Jenny out, even going bowling and to the arcade with Jenny and Leora. Michael becomes Jenny's first actual 'crush' and when he leaves town at the end of the week when the weather's better, Jenny kind of catches him as he's packing up the convertible and climbs him like a tree to kiss him. After he leaves, Jenny just kind of pushes the whole thing to the back of her mind, because it's silly. Who gets that hung up on someone they only know for a few days anyway.
Time marches on and Jenny graduates from high school with Leora the next year. This is where Leora and Jenny go their separate ways, with Jenny off to college and police academy and Leora heading off to take a gap year, backpacking and traveling. Jenny buckles down and despite both parents pleading with her not to do it, she graduates from college and goes straight into police academy. She and Leora keep in touch frequently and visit as often as they can. By now, Leora is going to cosmetology school, even though her father David is pushing for her to go to medical school or something more stable. Leora winds up getting hired as a makeup and special effects artist on some indie horror movie series and this launches her career, so whenever Jenny and Leora do talk now, it's a little farther in between. Jenny's settling into life, she gets herself an apartment and takes herself a job at Pine Valley Police Department. Jenny begins dating former bad boy of her graduating class, Jeremy Carver (Cole Sprouse for visuals) when they reconnect during a night out with mutual friends. The two click from the word go and it's definitely against both Tad and Krystal's wishes. Jeremy seems to have changed from the way he'd been during high school (from outward appearances) so Jenny insists that he's not a bad guy. And she keeps insisting this until she gets called to a scene and she runs prints and they come back belonging to him. Faced with the conflict of what she did with what she knew, she decided ultimately that she wasn't willing to risk her career to save his ass. She turns over the prints and Jeremy is arrested for the murder of his dealer, Devon. After this, Jenny pretty much decides that maybe her radar for men isn't the best and she doesn't try dating again, she just buries herself in her job and spending time with her family.
Leora calls her and invites her to come up to Port Charles, telling her that "she needs a break". Jenny has a week of vacation that she has to use, so she decides on a whim to go visit her best friend in Port Charles. And who does she run into but Michael Quartermaine? Except he doesn't seem to remember her (He does, he's just assuming she'd never remember him), so Jenny doesn't really let on that they've met before. They reconnect as friends, which of course, makes his present girlfriend Nelle angrier than hell and start doing whatever she can to interfere with the friendship. As Jenny's leaving to return to Pine Valley, Michael gets her number and she gets his number, even though she firmly believes that she's not likely to hear from him given the fact that he's engaged with a kid on the way.
Jenny gets involved with a guy named Billy McTavish ( for visuals, picture Aaron Taylor Johnson) and at first, things seem to be going great. They decide to move into their own little apartment in Pine Valley and there's even talk of marriage in the future. Billy wants her to give up her work at the station. Jenny does it, even though she doesn't want to and the decision feels all wrong somehow. She and Billy move to Benson Hurst when Billy gets offered a chance to take over a garage that belonged to his uncle Ray. They settle into life together and everything seems to be going well.
And then, suddenly, it isn't. Billy starts to slip, bits of his true colors peeking through. Jenny begins to question her decision to uproot and give up her job. She's just not getting a good feeling at all. Billy's behavior starts to worsen, they're fighting all the time and Billy's spending everything he makes but refuses to say where. Jenny threatens to leave and either return to Pine Valley or move in with her best friend Leora who lives in nearby Port Charles. Billy's infuriated by this and the altercation that follows is one that's scary enough that Jenny does leave town for a few days, spending it with Leora in Port Charles. Billy shows up apologetic and he's saying and doing all the right things and Jenny ignores her gut feeling a second time and lets him talk her into returning to Benson Hurst with him.
Things seem to get better for a while. Billy makes a concentrated effort to change. Jenny settles into her new life and Billy surprises her with an engagement ring on their anniversary. Jenny accepts his proposal and the two are happy and it seems as if their big scary fight was just a one time thing. The death of Billy's uncle Ray puts Billy in a position to take over the garage completely. Billy starts to 'always have extra money' and he's working crazier hours, Jenny puts it off to Billy's plans to expand his uncle's business, though Billy never specifically told her how he intended to go about doing so. They're even able to buy a house just outside of Benson-Hurst in a quiet little suburb. Even as all this is happening, something deep down inside Jenny is still nagging at her, telling her that it all feels too good to be true. The weekend before the engagement party, Jenny decides to return to Pine Valley, with the intention of telling her parents that Billy had proposed and she'd accepted. She sits her parents down, as well as her stepmother, and she explains it all to them. They seem okay with it, maybe a little concerned that she's so young and wants to do this when she's spent a lifetime planning on becoming a crime scene investigator and they try to point out to her that maybe she needs to slow down and actually give the decision some thought. Jenny tells them she's made up her mind and asks them if they're going to support her decision or not. Her parents agree, but as she's leaving, Krystal calls her into her room to talk and tells her that Leora called the night that Jenny and Billy had their confrontation and she went to go and stay with Leora. "She's worried about you, hun. So am I, truth be told. Something's always rubbed me all sorts of wrong about that guy. But you're my baby girl and I love you, so if this makes you happy…"
Jenny returns to Benson-Hurst. She's in the process of planning the wedding and as this is happening, the cops are closing in on Billy's car theft ring and chop shop operation. One day, Jenny's coming back to their house from an afternoon in Port Charles, visiting Leora and shopping for dresses and she's approached by Dante Falconeri, a man she recognizes from her infrequent trips to Port Charles to visit Leora. He takes her to a coffee shop and sits her down, explains in detail everything Billy's gotten himself caught up in and he then reveals that Billy was a suspect in the disappearance of his last girlfriend. None of this was anything Jenny was aware of previously and seeing it all there in front of her, in black and white, she's disgusted with herself. She feels betrayed. She's starting to realize there are reasons he always has money, pulls crazy hours and raises hell every single time she even breathes a word about returning to work. She also realizes that he may well have been love-bombing her this whole time to lull her into a false sense of security and that proposing to her may have been his way of making sure that even if she did ever learn the truth about him, she couldn't ever testify to it in court. Dante tells her that cops have already been inside the house and placed wire taps and bugs and he tries to appeal to her to get out of the situation while she still can. As she leaves the diner, the conversation with Detective Falconeri is weighing heavily on her mind and she's shell-shocked.
Billy's working in the home office two days later and he finds one of the wire taps. If Jenny thought she was scared before when they fought, it's ten times as bad this time around. He shows her an entirely new and truth be told, nastier side of himself, threatening that if she's the one who placed the wire there, he'll make her disappear. He kind of hints that he's done it before. Jenny's the kind who gets mouthy when she's freaking out, so she decides to throw everything she knows about him in his face. Billy's already paranoid so in his mind, this only cements the belief that Jenny had something to do with the wires. They fight, Jenny gets away and runs into their room to lock the door and grab her things so she can leave. When she tries to leave the room, Billy's got her trapped. She calls 911 dispatch and the operator informs her that officers are already en route. A few minutes later, just as the fire Billy set before leaving Jenny trapped in their bedroom starts to spread, the fire department and a few local police arrive and Jenny manages to kick the door and ram it enough that the door flies open and Jenny starts to work her way out of the burning house, a bandana over her mouth. Dante is with the locals making the arrest and he convinces her to get checked out by an EMT for smoke inhalation damage. As she passes by the cop car, she spots Billy sitting in the back. He mouths that he's going to get even with her, one way or another and she flips him off.
Jenny calls her parents and tells them everything, telling them they were right about Billy and she's glad everything came out before she actually went through with marrying the guy. When Tad asks her what she plans to do now, she remembers Leora's not so subtle hints from earlier in the week about another potential job opening at Port Charles Police Department and she tells them that she wants to come home for a week or two and then she's going to apply to work in the Forensics department at PCPD.
Presently, Jenny's just starting to settle into life in Port Charles. She's just started working at PCPD recently and she's kind of starting to build a solid friendship with Michael Quartermaine, who is still trying to work through similar bad luck in the love department on his end of things while raising his son Wiley as a single father.
