Hi everyone! I hope you enjoy this fun idea I had in my head aha, its a bit stupid, don't take it seriously hahah.

This takes place at around the the beginning of season 2, Star and Marco are both still in school. Hope you enjoy!

-

The sun shone brightly, the sky was clear, and flowers began to bloom, everything seemed perfect. It was a gorgeous summer day in Echo Creek, and it was slowly drawing to a close. Hundreds of students swarmed to the streets as they began their journey home or to whatever activities they had planned. Everyone wore a smile on their face, enjoying the weather and the fact that school had finally finished after a long 8 hours. That is, expect one student.

''Walking back home from school is SOOOO lame knowing you have to do extra homework! What's the point of going home to study even more, just to do the same all over again tomorrow! School makes me wanna throw myself into burning pit of fire!'' Star Butterfly moaned, scuffing her signature purple boots as she slowly walked back home with her best friend beside her.

"I'm afraid that's just life, Star; the week is nearly over, soon it will be Friday and you won't have to worry about school the next day any more. Plus, if you actually did your assignments on time they wouldn't pile up and give you stress." Marco looked down at Star, anticipating a response, but all she offered him was an irritated look. He rolled his eyes and chose to appreciate the scenery of this beautiful day instead of Star's attitude. They'd just been walking in silence for about five minutes when Star decided to pipe up again, expressing her irritation even more.

''School this, school that, Marco, you're only saying that because you ACTUALLY like school with all that revising you do nearly every day.'' Star turned her frown into a smirk while looking straight ahead, she knew that was going to hit a nerve.

Marco gasped, no way did she just say that. Did he really come across as a nerd to her? Surely not. She had witnessed him fight monsters! And not to mention she's come to watch him win a few karate competitions in the pass. Sure, he did enjoy revising, but that was because he found it easy! And he knew it would benefit him in the long run.

''What just because I get good grades and study hard, that makes me like school?'' Marco murmured, slightly insulted by Star's snide remark. Star chuckled, her smirk still plastered on her face as she continued to stare straight ahead.

''Talk to me when you're done making out with text books.'' Star yawned as she replied bluntly.''What? That doesn't even make sense. I don't make out with text books!''

''What ever you say, safe kid.'' Star rolled her eyes, speaking with an annoyed tone more than a jokey one when she usually called him the 'safe kid', Marco noticed this and frowned.

Why is she acting like this? Just because she's in a bad mood doesn't mean she has to put me in one too! Marco grimaced as he noticed a negative mood slowly creeping up on him as he began to feel her effects take hold of him.

''Star, I get your in a bad mood but that doesn't mean you have to put me in one too!'' Marco turned his head towards Star and huffed.

''I never said I was in a bad mood!'' Star nearly screamed as her sluggish, stumbling feet slowly changed into forceful stomps.

''I never said you said you was in a bad mood, you're literally stomping! Its pretty obvious you're annoyed!'' Marco raised his voice slightly, his steps slowly matching Stars. That was it, he was now officially in a bad mood too.

''Maybe I'm stomping because I like to stomp!''

''Well stop! Its infuriating!''

''NO!''

''YOU'RE BEHAVING LIKE A TODDLER!''

''YOU LOOK LIKE A TODDLER!''

''YOU LOOK LIKE-''

''You need to chill.''

Star and Marco both paused for a moment and looked around for the person who had joined their conversation. They instantly knew it was Oskar when they spotted the battered orange car parked next to them on the road.

"Oskar?" Marco asked, pausing. "What do you want?" he grumbled, turning away from Star and walking over to Oskar with his arms folded. He couldn't help but notice a distinct odour of something as he neared the vehicle. Of course he knew it was cannabis; it was legal in the state he lived in, so catching a whiff of it while walking past people wasn't too uncommon. He didn't do it, neither did his parents, nor did he have many friends who did, and he certainly didn't know Oskar did.

''Are you...erm...smoking?'' Marco remarked quietly, not wanting to appear uncool or lame in front of Star, especially after their little argument.

"Oh dude, what you think helps me come up with all my sweet jams." Oskar rolled his tongue, his words sluggishly sliding off. Despite having the window rolled all the way down, his car stank of the stuff and was nearly hotboxed to the brim. Marco peered inside and saw a keytar on his lap with a nearly smoked joint in his hand.

''I guess that makes sense?'' Marco scratched the back of his head.

''Oh heeeey, Oskar.'' Marco suddenly heard Stars voice behind him speak up bashfully, he watched her dreamily walk up to his car before stopping beside him, her posture slightly hunched as she looked like she was about to drool like a dog at the sight of Oskar. He couldn't help but get slightly more annoyed when he noticed the big blush she wore on her cheeks and the stars in her bright blue eyes that seemed to grow bigger as she admired the boy in his car.

''Sup Star Butterfly, couldn't help but hear you and your friend having a slight dilemma over there.''

''It wasn't a dilemma, we were just having a perfectly normal conversation!'' Marco interrupted, gritting his teeth.

"Nobody likes a liar dude, and I could sense your bad vibes from a mile away." Oskar pushed his lips to the joint and inhaled deeply, taking in all the smoke before pressing a few keys on his keytar and blowing it back out in the direction of Star.

''Is that a cigar? They smell very different to the ones on Mewni.'' Star pointed to the joint, sniffing the air before watching Oskar curiously as he took another hit.

''Nah dude, its a joint, you ever tried?''

Star shook her head; she had never smoked in her life. She knew what tabaco was because they had it on Mewni, but they only used it to smoke cigars and for healing purposes, it was occasionally used to make potions too; she had no idea what this 'joint' thing was.

'"Here, have some, it calms you down big time, and by the sound of you two talking earlier, it seems that you both need it." Oskar reached his arm out the window and passed the joint to Star, only to see it fly out her hand as an arm came crashing down on it.

"Hey man, what gives?" Oskar looked at Marco, baffled, not understanding why he had just smacked the joint out of Star's hand in a karate-style move.

''No way is she having any of that!'' Marco picked up the joint after it had slowly rolled towards Stars shoes, handing it back to Oskar with a frown.

''That's the devils lettuce right there! One puff and your hooked on it for life, next thing you'll be doing is heroin!'' Marco lifted his head, looking down at Oskar watching him re-lit the joint. Star listened to Marcos words, raising an eyebrow and thought hard. Toms lettuce? Hero win? What was he talking about?

''Hey! You don't get to tell me what to do! If Oskar says its calming I want it! I've been stressed all day!'' Star looked at Marco with a scrunched nose, clearly annoyed at his antics. He couldn't believe what he was hearing, was he really about to witness the start of Stars smoking addiction, followed by the downfall of her life.

''Dude, 'devils lettuce'? what are you, 30?'' Oskar laughed harmlessly as he blinked slowly before looking at Star.

''Its called weed, you put it in this paper and roll it to make a joint.'' Star dreamily listened to Oskar talk about this 'weed' thing as she leaned on his car, resting her face on her hands. To be honest, she didn't care what he talked about along as she got to look at him for longer.

Marco felt his hands turn into fists once more as he watched the scene play out for a good seven minuets, unsure of what to do. Oskar began to explain to the best of his memory where weed came from, the benefits, how to get it and how to smoke it. How dare he explain this to Star! She was so innocent! She was literally a princess and here he was basically convincing her to become a stoner.

''Okay, okay, that's enough Star, were going home.'' Marco placed a hand on her shoulder, praying she would just follow him and this could be over with. Star sighed heavily as she felt his hand on her, she brushed it off and stood up to face him.

''Marco why have you got to be so safe! Its literally natural! Oskar said!''

''Yeah natural as in it grows out the ground, not as in its natural for everyone to smoke it!''

''When are you ganna start taking risks Marco, you always say you like taking risks but I've barely even seen you take any!'' Okay that was a lie, Star had seen Marco take plenty of risks before, especially while fighting monsters, but she really didn't want to leave yet and she really wanted to try this joint thing.

''C'mon Marco! Its only a lil spliiiiff.'' Star poked his side teasingly, smiling.

''Yeah c'mon Mango, just do it.'' Oskar joined in, moving his arm out his car to poke Marco with Star.

''No!''

''Marco pleaseeeee! I wanna try it with you.'' Star begged, clasping her hands together and shaking them slightly.

''For the last time, NO!''

''Pleaseeeee?''

''NOOO!''

''What are you, chicken?'' Oskar muttered under his breath giggling as he looked at Marco, waiting for a response.

Oh no he didn't. He couldn't do this anymore, especially with all the teasing from Star, he wanted to show her that he was more than some dumb stupid safe kid! He knew his confidence had grew a little since Star's arrival to Earth but it wasn't enough, he had to do this!

Quickly reaching into the car and grabbing the joint out of Oskar's hand, he held it to his lips and inhaled deeply, maybe a little too deeply. Marco had never smoked anything before so this was a new experience, he wasn't sure if he liked it or hated it. He felt like his lungs where going to explode as he brought the joint away from his lips and coughed madly into his arm. After calming down he looked up and passed the joint back to Oskar with a slightly proud face.

''There! You happy now!'' Marco coughed once more, trying to clear his tickling throat. Star and Oskar looked at each other in shock.

''Dude I didn't think you'd actually do it.'' Oskar replied, laughing at his reaction as he took a few more drags from the spliff himself.

''Marco! How do you feel! Any calmer?'' Star brought herself closer to Marco, starring into his eyes and bringing her hands to his cheeks, giving them a small squeeze.

''Nothing really, my throat is on fire.'' Marco bluntly huffed, rolling his eyes.

''Well yeah, you only had one hit! You need a few more to get you going.'' Oskar replied, passing the joint to Star.

''Its your turn, Butterfly.''

''You don't have to do this Star.'' Marco quietly stated, looking at Star with a worried expression, but it was too late, Marco watched Star press her lips to the joint, inhaling deeply before moving the joint away and blowing out the smoke. She watched the smoke slowly evaporate into the air before taking another hit. Although the sight made Marco slightly disappointed and sad, he was impressed that she hadn't coughed.

''I feel like a classy dragon.'' Star announced, holding the joint in her middle and index finger, blowing out more smoke. Oskar nodded in agreement but Marco just stood there, waiting for Star to finish. He really hoped his parents or someone he knew wouldn't drive past right now.

''Okay there you go Marco, I don't think my throat can handle anymore.'' Star mumbled, nudging Marco in his arm, slightly leaning into him. Marco looked down at Star and the joint and took it from her hands, bringing it back to his lips and taking smaller inhales then before. He wanted to say no, but he felt like was already in too deep and he didn't feel like being teased again or getting called 'chicken'.

''You know, I think they call it a joint because I feel really connected to you guys right now, like joints in our bodies.'' Star piped up, looking at Marco and Oskar, she couldn't help but feel as if her eyelids suddenly had weights on them. Marco turned to Star and laughed at how smart and correct she sounded right now but stopped as he got a good look at her eyes.

''Star, your eyes are bloodshot red!'' Marco said with concern, starring at her face for what felt like eternity. He didn't even realise his body slowly leaning into Stars, he felt as light as a cloud.

''So are yours.'' Star laughed, putting a finger to Marcos chest and pushing him away, watching him stumble a bit before finding his balance again.

''I feel really...fluffy? right now, is that normal.'' Marco looked at Oskar, waiting for a response, hoping it wasn't a bad side effect.

''Yeah, totalllllly normal, no ones ever died from pot, just relax dude.''

''I feel like I'm in a bubble.'' Star mumbled, blinking slowly at the two boys.

''Okay you two, I think you've had enough.'' Oskar laughed as he took the joint from Marco after he seemed satisfied with the amount of times he brought it to his lips. After bringing in back to his own a couple of times, he put the joint out on his dash bored before throwing it into a plastic bag on the empty seat next to him.

''Well, this has been dope you guys but I got places to be, I can give you dudes a lift home if you'd like.''

''That would be awesome, I don't think my legs are working right now so a lift home sounds amazing.'' Marco nodded as Star smiled, accepting the offer before pulling on Marco's arm to follow her to the backseats of the car, she couldn't quite explain it but her legs felt like Jell-O right now and walking felt home like a punishment. Laughing and stumbling into the car, Star and Marco sat down, fiddling with the seatbelt, trying to strap themselves in for what felt like forever.

''Magic seat belt thing! Yeah I don't know.'' Star shouted, raising her wand before instantly placing it back down and excepting the fact that she didn't actually remember a seatbelt spell or even had the energy to think of a knew one. Marco watched Star mindlessly with a dumb look on his face, he felt as if he could feel every bone in his body, every breath, every organ. He shook his head and turned himself to the window and looked outside, deciding to try and focus on something else, he noticed how bright and vibrate the world outside had suddenly become and gasped.

''Oh my gosh you guys, outside looks so pretty right now.''

Everyone turned their heads to the windows and admired the scenery, taking in the beauty of the Earth.

''That's Mother Nature dawg.'' Oskar replied, breathing in heavily before sticking his keys into his car as he began to slowly reverse out of his parked spot. Marco chuckled at how stupid and hippie-like Oskar sounded right now, what had he got himself into. He was about the comment about how Oskar shouldn't be driving while high but he honestly didn't care, he was just happy to be in a car so he didn't have to walk home, his legs felt week and his entire body felt fuzzy. He turned to look at what Star was doing as he felt the car slowly roll onto the road, picking up speed. She was fixed on looking out the window with an amazed expression, her wand resting on her lap. Marco couldn't help but notice how extremely pretty she was all of a sudden, he always had thought she was pretty but something about her right now just looked incredible. Her beautiful blue eyes, her style choice, her hair, her everything. He honestly wanted to straight up tell her but something was stopping him, maybe it was the incredible dry mouth he was feeling right now.

''Why are you starring at me?''

''Wha-''

''You've been looking at me for about five minuets straight, something on my face?'' Star laughed, putting a hand on her face before stupidly moving it around to check if anything was there.

''Just like looking at you.'' Marco said bluntly with a goofy look on his face, his eyelids half closed, his usually big bright brown eyes still bloodshot red.

''Kay!'' Star giggled, ignoring how Marco practically just flirted with her, turning back to look out the window to enjoy the incredible view, Marco didn't even flinch and just went back to starring at her, enjoying his own view as well.

After what felt like the longest, slowest car ride ever, Oskar finally arrived outside Marco's house, parking sloppily on his driveway.

''Here you go dudes, don't get into too much trouble.''

Oskar chuckled, looking into the drivers mirror to see Star and Marco once again begin to fumble around with their seatbelts before stumbling out the car.

''Oh wait! Before you dudes go, I want you to have this.'' The pair paused and looked at Oskar who was holding a fat spliff, in his fingers.

''You'll thank me later.'' Oskar winked, passing the joint to Star, who took it and placed it in her yellow star purse.

''Oh, thanks man, that's really cool of you.'' Marco smiled at Oskar dozily.

''Thanks Oskar! and again for the lift!'' Star waved at Oskar who nodded his head and began to roll his car off the drive way and make his way back to the road.

''He's so nice!'' Star giggled cutely, walking over to Marco, trying not to fall over, she felt as if she wasn't walking as normally as she usually did and instead was walking on giant marshmallows.

''Hey I'm nicer!'' Marco replied, puffing out his chest to Star in the most ridiculous way possible.

''Bahahaha! You're so funny but correct, you're soooo nice.'' Star smiled, poking Marco in the tummy and looking up at him with half lidded eyes, Marco looked down and placed his hands on her shoulders.

''Star, do you feel as weird as I do right now? That car journey felt like hours.''

''It felt really quick for me, however I do feel like I'm kind of in a bubble if you get me.''

Marco nodded in agreement laughing a little, ''Think you said that earlier, lets get inside and make some food, I'm hungry.'' Stepping forward he dragged his feet to his front door before suddenly stopping himself from turning the door knob.

''Wait! Star, we can't tell my parents what we've done, hopefully they're not in, but if they are, we'll both get in big trouble if they find out!'' Marco panicked, turning to Star who had no expression whatsoever and was instead mesmerised by a butterfly flying past and landing on a white tulip near by.

"Star!"

"What?"

"Did you listen to anything I just said?"

"Oh yeah totally, why?"

''I can't be bothered to explain but basically most parents on Earth don't like their kids smoking weed and my parents happen to be them so just act normal if we see them.'' Star nodded, a bit confused on what they where actually talking about but began following Marco into the house, she decided to just let him take the lead and play it safe by only speaking if she was spoken to. They both walked into the living room as if they had just broken into the house by being as silent as possible, practically tip toeing.

Turning the corner for the kitchen, Marco sighed, relaxing his shoulders. ''I don't think they're in, whew.'' Marco sighed in relief, giggling as he headed for the fridge.

''You want a drink?'' He bent down to the bottom of the fridge and scanned the various options of drinks.

"Oooooo, you know what? Right now, cold water sounds really good." Star bounced up and down, glancing at Marco as he rummaged through the refrigerator before taking out two cool bottles of water. "My mouth feels like cotton," she said as she swiftly snatched the bottle from Marco, opened it, and poured it down her throat quickly. Marco laughed as he watched her guzzle down the bottle as if she had been abandoned on a desert island for 30 days. He wasn't going to say it out loud, but Star was looking so comical just now that he couldn't stop himself from laughing out loud once again.

''Don't drink it too fast or ill have to burp you!'' Marco laughed and drank a large swig from his own bottle.

''Marco you're so weird! Burp me? What the fuck are you on about.'' Star burst out laughing, spitting some of her water in his face.

''Hey! You shut the fuck up before I...I...I steal your wand!'' Marco wiped the water off his face and grinned at Star as he pretended to reach his hands out for her wand, laughing menacingly.

''Get away! AHHHHHH!'' Star laughed and played along, holding tightly to her wand and running...well stumbling, out of the kitchen.

''HELPPPP! HE'S ESCAPING!! THE KILLER IS ESCAPING!!!'' Star practically screamed, throwing herself on the couch in the living room, diving under a blanket to 'hide'. She couldn't stop laughing and giggling, this stuff felt great! While under the blanket she tried her hardest to supress her laughs and carefully listened to any sound around her, trying to work out if Marco was near by or not.

''Star Butterfly! I'm going to give you to the count of three to reveal yourself! Don't make me get physical!'' Marco suddenly announced loudly, walking into the living room and scanning the room for any sign of Star, his fingers in the shape of a gun. If Marco wasn't stoned out his mind right now, he would have easily spotted Star hiding under the blanket.

''I wouldn't mind that.''

Marco quickly turned around, hearing the voice come from the couch, smirking, he knew he had her now. Grabbing the corner of the fluffy knitted blanket, Marco quickly lifted it up and to his surprise, it revealed a frozen Star with her tongue laying out her mouth making it seem as if she was dead.

''Oh. Well that's a shame. She died.'' Marco jokingly said bluntly, throwing the blanket back over Star and walking away, trying not to laugh out loud. Star gasped and instantly stopped playing dead after hearing his reaction and opened her eyes, battling with the blanket to get it off her and sitting up, she felt slightly light headed at how fast she got up.

''Hey! That's not meant to be your reaction to my death!'' Star shouted, pushing herself up from the couch and charging at Marco, throwing herself at him, hoping he would catch her. She had no idea why he thought he would, because he didn't, his late reaction lead them to both landing on the floor in a heap.

''You're meant to CRY!'' Star shook Marco, moving to sit on his lap and poking his eyelids and around his eyes. She couldn't help but notice how soft and silky Marcos face felt, she circled her fingers around his cheek before moving them to run over his top lip, feeling a small amount of hair. Star giggled, feeling how soft his peach fuzz was. Marco laughed and smiled, despite just being jumped by Star and the pain he was feeling in his legs from her landing on them, it was blurred out his worries as he focused on how nice her hands felt touching and stroking his face.

''You're so soft.'' Star mumbled, touching everywhere on Marco's face.

''You're so hot.'' Marco stated quickly and bluntly after she finished speaking. Never in a million years would he have said that sober. Maybe it was that joint, right now he just didn't care, all his worries and insecurities had been washed away long ago.

''Marco!'' Star giggled and blushed, lightly pushing his head away with her hand. Marco giggled back, removing his hands from his side and wrapping them around Star's waist, lifting her up and carefully placing her over his shoulder before slowly standing up, wobbling a concerning amount.

''Hey! Put me down!'' Star laughed, softy punching his back as she hung over his shoulder.

''I'm kidnapping you. Deal with it.'' Marco chuckled, slowly walking towards the stairs, trying not to fall over.

''Yeah okay.'' Star giggled back, letting her body go limp over Marco as he headed for the stairs, presumably to one of their bedrooms.

''WAIT! We need food!'' Star lifted her head, looking in the direction of the kitchen.

''Good call.'' Marco paused then changed his direction, walking towards the kitchen with Star still laying limb over him. Entering the kitchen Marco wobbled more and he held onto the counter for some extra support so he wouldn't fall over.

''What do you fancy?'' Marco asked, scanning the cabinets and fridge for any food. To be fair, he didn't really care what he ate, he could eat anything right now.

''Ermmmmm...nachos!'' Star demanded, wriggling to get herself out of Marco's grip. Marco felt Star shuffle around his shoulder and bent down so she could get off, when she managed to get onto her own two feet again she rushed to his side, linking his arm.

''Star, I don't think I have the power to cook food right now, even if it is just nachos.'' Marco laughed, looking down at the blonde girl who was clutching his arm. ''Why don't we just order something from Brita's Tacos instead?''

''Yeah, good idea, can you ask for two burritos with extra sugar for me?'' Star smiled, nearly jumping up and down at the thought of some tasty Mexican food in her belly. Usually she'd only get one burrito but she felt as if she hadn't eaten in years and she figured she might be hungry later.

''Okayyyy...two burritos.'' Marco swayed, walking out the kitchen to the home phone in the living room, Star following.

''EXTRA SUGAR!'' Star reminded him, poking him in the cheek.

''Extra sugar.'' Marco noted, reaching for the phone and pressing in the numbers for Brita's before waiting for it to ring then be answered.

''Hello, this is Brita's Taco, can I take your order please.''

''Heyo, this is Marco Diaz, and I'd like to order three burritos, two with extra sugar please.''

Star couldn't help but laugh into Marco's shoulder as she listened to the conversation play out.

''Sorry Sir, but we don't do sugar on burritos.''

''What? No sugar?''

''Erm no?''

Marco paused and thought for what felt like forever. What was he talking about again?

''Sir are you there?''

''Yeah, hi, hello, sorry, forgot what I was doing, hahaha.'' Marco chuckled, looking at Star who was covering her mouth to supress her laughs from being heard by the Brita's Tacos employee.

''Is everything alright Sir?''

''Yeah, just bring us the goods, were at 4815 Avocado Terrace.''

''Okay, thank you for your order, someone will be there in around half an hour.''

''Thanks...BITCH.''

Marco slammed the phone down, hanging up abruptly. Slowly, he turned his face to Star who looked like she was about to explode from laughter, her eyes tearing up. He couldn't help but smile back as they stared at each other for about three seconds before they both burst out laughing.

''BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.''

''HAHAHAHAHAHA oh my god, Marco why on Mewni did you say that?'' Star laughed, clutching her stomach as the laughter was getting too intense. Marco stood up a little straighter, trying to calm himself down.

''I don't know, it just felt right.'' Marco said between laughs, watching the girl wipe her watery eyes away with her hands.

''You're so silly.'' Star smiled, poking Marco in the stomach.

''Hey! quit poking me!'' Marco smiled even more, taking hold of the girls hands and waving them up and down in front of her.

''Lets go sit on the couch, my head is spinning and I need to lie down after that.'' Star suggested softly and pulled his hands away from her face, drawing him toward the tempting soft couch. Marco nodded and followed her before he hurled himself at it, missing entirely and landing with a fud on the floor.

''Marco!'' Star gasped in surprise at the sudden fud, but she couldn't help but laugh a little at the dumbass in front of her as he laid limp on the floor, next to the couch.

''I think I broke my face.'' Marco moaned and rubbed his cheek as he began to slowly sit up. Star giggled and helped pick him up and slid him aboard the coach, where he was thoroughly inspected by her.

''Is it bad?'' Marco mumbled, hoping he didn't have any signs of bruising.

''Oh no.'' Star gasped, starring into his eyes with concern. ''It's super bad.''

''Say sike right now.'' Marco's eyes widened as he panicked, and he rose to his feet to inspect himself in the closest mirror he could find. Unfortunately for him, he stood on his shoelace when he went to move, causing him to trip and fall back into the same position that he was in a few minuets prior.

''Marco! What are you doing!'' Star burst out laughing as he watched the clumsy boy trip yet again. Marco, too, couldn't help but chuckle, turning onto his back and covering his face with his hands.

''I was only joking, you're face is perfectly fine.'' Star giggled yet again, reaching out a hand to him. He took it and pushed himself off the floor, flopping back onto the couch next to Star.

''I got dead legs.'' Marco giggled, shaking his head as he got comfortable.

''I can tell.'' Star smiled, amused by him as she brought her hand up to his cheek and rubbed it softly.

''Your cheek does look a little red though.'' Star frowned. Marco beamed as he savoured Star's gentle touch on his cheek. He stared into her bloodshot red eyes, which were normally bright blue. Star couldn't help but blush as she noticed how close they where and how his eyes where fixed on her face.

''You're doing it again.''

''Doing what?''

''Starring at me.'' Star slid her hand away from his face and into her lap. Marco shifted his gaze away from her face and toward her hands.

''Star, I'm not going to lie, I just think you're really pretty, that's all.''

''But what about Jackie! She is your crush after all.'' Star said softly, her blush deepening as she finally realised what Marco had spoken.

''Meh.''

''What do you mean 'meh'?''

''Well, she's okay I guess, I had a crush on her for years but as soon as you came to stay with us, you kinda took the spotlight, but I couldn't crush on you! It might of ruined our friendship or gotten in the way or something!''Marco sighed and glanced down into his lap, waiting for Star to answer. Instead of speaking, he felt her slide around the couch, getting closer to him until her arms wrapped around his shoulders.

''Why would it be in the way.'' Star laughed, resting her chin on his shoulder.

''You overthink too much.'' She giggled as she felt him pull her back onto the cushion behind him, putting her on top of him.

''Maybe.''

They didn't say anything as they lay together, savouring the warmth they were producing. While one of Marco's arms moved to properly embrace her, another brushed his fingers through her silky blonde hair. He considered how awkward it would be if they weren't obliterated right now, but it didn't matter; they were here now, cuddling, and that was all that mattered. Star smiled as she inhaled his sent, enjoying listening to his heartbeat fast in his chest. She admired him a lot, more than a friend, and he felt the same way. She wasn't actually crushing on Oskar; she was just using him as a way to avoid thinking about Marco. She sighed and pressed her face against his chest further, closing her eyes. She felt as if she were floating in mid-air, her thoughts free of any anxieties or doubts; Oskar was correct; this did indeed calm her down big time.

*ding-dong*

Star and Marco lifted their head, turning to face the door as they groggily began to sit up.

''Looks like burritos are here.'' Marco muttered, stretching out his arms as if he had just taken a long, relaxing slumber, he sure felt like he had. He looked to Star who was doing the same, her hair was slightly messy from laying down.

''Better go get your sugar.''

Star nodded and walked away from the couch as she saw Marco stand up and move to the door. She entered the kitchen slowly, opening one of the cabinets to locate a small bag of sugar. She couldn't help but pour some of it into her mouth as she walked out the kitchen, trying to satisfy her hunger.

''Was it you who called me a bitch?!'' Star came to a halt as she heard a booming voice from the living room. She dashed to the source of the shouting and stopped when she spotted a big, tall man dressed in a Brita's Taco outfit holding two brown bags filled with burritos on one side and Marco shaking his head on the other.

''Nah, wasn't me.'' Marco stated quickly, trying to remember if he DID actually call him a bitch.

''Well it was fucking someone!'' The man screamed, stepping closer to Marco, looking down at him.

''Hey! What's going on!'' Star interrupted, walking up to the pair at the door. The man looked her up and down and frowned even more.

''Was it you!'' He pointed a finger at Star, pushing Marco out the way so he was nearly entering the house.

''Hey! Don't go near her!'' Marco butted in but only received a laugh from the stocky man.

''Get away from me!'' Star stepped back. ''No one called you that, you psycho!''

''Just give us our burritos and go!'' Marco replied, hoping he would just leave so he could finally eat.

''Or what?'' The man moved back to face Marco.

''Or I'll...properly...fight you?'' Marco mumbled, not sure if he could actually take this man who was at least four times his build.

''Oh yeah? BRING IT!'' The man screamed, raising his fist to punch Marco. He didn't even have a chance to swing before he felt something fly at his face.

''Sugar bitch blast!'' Star screamed, turning as she emptied the bag of sugar she was carrying over the delivery man, hoping it would do something. She didn't think she could do magic right now, heck, she didn't even know where her wand was either, so throwing a bag of sugar over the beefy man was the next idea that came to mind.

As Marco took a step back from the man, hoping he wouldn't try to swing for him again, everyone froze, unsure of who would make the next move.

''You monster!'' He suddenly screamed, dropping the bags of burritos and running out the door, trying to brush the remaining sugar off his face.

''Type 2 diabetes is no joke!'' He cried, making his way back into the delivery car and zooming off.

Star and Marco turned to look at each other and blinked.

''Well, that was weird.'' Before closing the door and picking up the two bags, Marco laughed as he watched him walk away.

''What a bitch.'' He carried the bags over to the table in the living room and began to pull out the goods.

''Two burritos for the princess.'' majestically as he handed Star one of the burritos she had requested. She smiled as she took the burrito from him, swiftly unwrapping it and munching it before pausing to examine the sugar on the floor near the door, which had been thrown at the delivery man.

''Too bad there's no sugar left.'' She frowned sadly, turning to Marco.

''That's a good thing.'' Marco whispered to himself, taking his own burrito from the bag and unwrapping it. He watched Star take more bites from her own, devouring the burrito in seconds.

''Wow, that was quick.'' He stared at her, astounded, before taking another bite of his own and speeding up; he could see why she had eaten so quickly now. Had they changed their recipe? It was too wonderful. Is there a different ingredient?

''That was too good not to eat too fast.'' Star chuckled as she walked back over to the couch and sat down, patting it to invite Marco to join her. He did so, eating the last bites of his burrito and shoving the wrapper back into the bag it came in.

''Hey, I have a fun idea.'' Marco smirked, sitting down next to Star.

''What is it?''

''Wanna go sit on your balcony and smoke that other joint Oskar gave us?'' Marco grinned, hoping she'd say yes.

''I thought you despised 'the devils lettuce''' Star mimicked, smirking at him.

''Oh behave.'' Marco stuck his tongue out at her and chuckled, standing back up from the couch.

''Want me to carry you again?'' He asked cheekily.

''Duh.'' Star smiled as she laid on the couch, her body relaxed and waited to be raised. And she was, as she felt Marco scoop her up and carry her bridal style towards the stairs. He staggered a little, but not quite as much as the previous time. Star couldn't help but daydream about how powerful he was as he reached the top of the steps; it was stupid thinking about it because he did wobble a little, but Star knew it was just because he was high. She reflected on how fortunate she was to have such a wonderful friend like him; he was everything a girl desired, not to mention his muscular hands grasping her arm which caused butterflies to swarm her stomach.

Kicking the door open to Star's bedroom, Marco carried her over to the bed before dropping her lightly.

''Okay, you go get the balcony all comfy, I'm ganna go change into some pyjamas and find a lighter, I'm pretty sure Mom keeps one in her drawers for candles.'' Star swung herself off the bed as Marco left her room, dragging a few pillows and blankets with her. As she passed her mirror across the room, she noticed herself and stopped, turning to face it. Her hair was a mess and her eyes were only mildly red. She shrugged shook it off as she walked to the balcony, tossed the pillows and blankets outside, and went to her closet to change into her pyjamas.

After a few minuets of changing and making sure the balcony area looked somewhat comfy, Star waited for Marco, holding her purse which contained the spliff.

''Okay, so I couldn't find a lighter, but I found matches inst-'' Marco lifted his head and froze when he got a good look at Star, who was dressed cutely in a purple nightgown and clutching her purse.

''You look so cute.'' Marco fangirled, walking over to Star who blushed.

''Stoppppp.'' Star giggled, looking away shyly as she moved to the balcony.

''I hope this is okay, if I had my wand, I could totally make this look way cooler.'' Star sighed as she sat on a plush cushion. Marco came over and cuddled up to her when he sat, drawing a blanket over the two of them.

''You did a wonderful job.'' Marco smiled, placing his arm round her waist.

''Thank you, Marco.'' Star beamed at how caring and nice he was over something silly like making a balcony cosy. ''Lets smoke this thing.'' Star pulled out the joint from her purse and Marco pulled out the matches from his pocket.

''Put it in your mouth and I'll light it.''

Star nodded, placing the tip of it in between her lips as she watched Marco light a match and bring it to the joint, making it smoke slowly. Star took a deep breath in, moving her hands to hold it while she drew it away from her lips and inhaled, then exhaled the remaining smoke. She sighed and looked up; the sun was setting, leaving behind a lovely dreamy orange and yellow landscape that would soon be completely black and studded with stars. She rested her head on Marco's shoulder and blinked slowly as she felt the effects of the joint begin to consume her once more.

''Why.'' She stated, taking in a few more hits before passing it to Marco.

''Why what?'' He tilted his head, unsure of what she was going to say.

''Why do all of this? I was a complete jerk to you on the way home from school and how here we are, your hand around my waist and just chilling with each other.''

Marco looked up to the sky and breathed out a puff of smoke, smiling softly.

''Well, you're my best friend, sometimes you have little arguments, but I care for you a lot and I understand why you were upset earlier.''

''I'm sorry about that, what I was doing was really uncool and just ugh, I don't know.'' Star shook her head, moving to scoot closer to Marco as he handed the joint back to her.

''It's okay, you don't have to be sorry.'' Marco laughed, pulling her in closer. He felt his mind once again go hazy, his eyes blinking slowly.

''Hey, you ever thought about how nobody on Earth notices that you're an actual princess that can do magic?'' Marco laughed, trying to lighten the mood.

Star laughed, ''Yeah, Earthlings and kinda dumb.'' She joked.

''Tru- Hey! I'm a Earthling!'' Marco groaned, squinting his eyes as he watched Star giggle into her hand.

''I'm only kidding, hehe.'' Star puffed on the joint for a few minuets before handing it back to Marco.

''I don't think I can handle anymore, my mind is all blehblabergbehhh.'' She spun her hands around her head before moving to lay on Marco's chest just like she had earlier down on the sofa.

''Weakkkkkk.'' Marco chuckled, moving one of his hands to stroke Star's hair as she lay on him peacefully.

''Shut up, you're the weak one.'' Star said quietly, not expecting him to hear her, but he did, and he confirmed it by grasping Star and drawing her up to face him. He took a brief moment to look into her eyes, blushing slightly, before pressing his lips against hers. Star let out a gasp and hastily backed away.

''Did you say weak?'' Marco smirked.

''Marco! What was that fo-'' Star stopped herself. What was she doing! She wanted this, and here she was backing out, maybe she was the weak one. She starred into Marco's eyes, feeling lost in them as she brought her face closer to his again. Marco smiled, moving closer as well, he knew she wanted him.

Marco repositioned her hands on her waist and relished the kiss, drawing her in closer as they kissed. As she felt her head spin, Star placed her hand to his cheek and moved to sit on his lap. All she wanted was to be with him forever, just the two of them. She couldn't think of a more ideal scenario than this. Marco thought the same as he pushed his tongue into Stars mouth, making him melt. Star beamed gleefully as she slowly moved away, moving to clasp his hands as she glanced up to the sky once more.

''I'm so happy.''
