Chapter 2: OH GOD MARCY WHY?!
This chapter takes place immediately after the episode "The Dinner."
"Hey Sash! Can you help me move this back into place?" Anne called out, gesturing to the couch next to her.
"Yeah sure, no problem." Sasha said as she went over, before helping Anne lift the couch and returned it to it's rightful spot.
After their dinner had, for the lack of a better term, fallen apart, the three girls and Grime had stayed behind to do a little cleaning while the Plantars went to request Chuck's help to repair the house.
Anne did wonder why they just didn't use the horn, but then she realized that most of the town was probably asleep by now…
"I still don't see why I had to stay behind…" Grime groaned out as he used his hammer to break apart some of the chocolate on the ground.
"Hey, it was your cake that did all of this, the least you could do is get rid of the chocolate." Sasha pointed out.
"I guess…" Grime groaned out as he brought the hammer down again.
"I would at least like to get back into my room tonight." Anne said as she took a bite of chocolate. "I don't even know where it is under all of this chocolate."
"Right over there!" Marcy said as she pointed at a small area she boxed out. "If you don't mind Grime?"
"Fine, fine… sheesh…" Grime said as he went over and broke the chocolate covering the door to Anne's room.
"So you guys didn't tell me how you two got together." Sasha said. "I imagine that Anne did something big and crazy, right?"
"Uh… actually, we kinda have Sprig to thank for that." Anne pointed out.
"The little twerp? Really?" Sasha asked.
"Please try and call him by his name…" Anne asked.
"Fine, geez… but how did he get you two together?" Sasha asked.
"Ugh, the worst way possible!" Anne groaned out.
"He asked Anne about her crush on me when I was standing right there." Marcy answered.
"What?! Really?!" Sasha asked, earning a nod in response.
"Uh… is that really so bad? I mean, it helped didn't it?" Grime asked.
"Grimsy, how would you feel if your sister let loose your most precious secret right in front of someone that the secret was about?!" Sasha asked.
"… I'd punch her." Grime pointed out. "Ok, I get it."
"He has a sister?" Anne whispered to Marcy, who just shrugged.
"Anyways, so I guess Anne ran away in a panic, Marcy chased her and then you let everything out?" Sasha asked.
"Pretty much, yeah." Anne said. "Man… that was a day."
"Yeah, between us meeting up, taking care of the Barbariants and then that? Action packed!" Marcy pointed out.
"I'm sorry, Barbariants?" Sasha asked.
"Nasty critters those are…" Grime grumbled out.
"Yeah we were having a problem with them, so the King asked me to take care of them cause, you know, Chief Ranger and all that." Marcy explained.
"The Plantars and I almost became Ant food before Marcy came swooping in on a zip-line!" Anne said. "Still can't believe that you are this super capable Amazon Warrior Queen now!"
"Same!" Sasha echoed.
"Oh come on, it's not that big a deal…" Marcy said bashfully.
"Come to think of it, you still haven't told me what that was like." Anne pointed out. "Like, what it was like before we met up."
"I'd like to hear that too!" Sasha said.
"Oh yeah, make me do all the work while you mingle…" Grime groaned out.
"Your mess Grimsy!" Sasha pointed out again.
"I know I know! Geez…" Grime said as he continued working.
"Well… I could tell you… oooooorrrrrrrr…."
"Or…?"
Marcy then walked over to her satchel that was laying nearby and pulled out a speaker.
"I could let you listen?"
"Wait, did you make a song about all that?" Sasha asked.
"Uh… maybe?" Marcy said, unsure of herself.
"How'd you manage that?" Anne asked.
"Well, I had the background music already on my phone, so I just recorded and put the lyrics to the music!" Marcy said.
"Nice! Well, let's hear it!" Sasha said.
"Ok… uh…" Marcy said before giving Anne a worried look.
"What?"
"Let's just say that some of the things that I did are… wild…" Marcy explained.
"Psssh, how bad could it be?" Anne asked.
"Okay…" Marcy said as she pushed the start button.
Woke up in Newtopia, where I fell down a flight of stairs.
"I'M SORRY, WHAT?!" Anne shouted.
Broke my leg but luckily, the newts have free public healthcare!
'SHE BROKE HER WHAT?!'
So then I became a loyal ranger, and I fought this creepy cult!
'SHE FOUGHT A WHAT?!'
Kept folks out of danger slaying a killer cobra with a catapult!
'SHE SLAYE ? !'
I lived on a warship, became a flipwart champion!
'Oh… ok… things are calming down a bit…'
Soon I was the King's trusted advisor, I studied salamander brains!
'Ok… knew about this already…'
Tried bug appetizers *YUM!*
'Always the curious one…'
And for fun DM'd some campaigns.
At that moment, Anne imagined Marcy trying to desperately get newts into that Creatures and Caverns game she always tried to get her and Sasha into.
I love in Amphibia! So much adventure still to see!
'Well… I guess she really is happy here!'

HOPE NOTHING BAD EVER HAPPENS TO ME! *DING*

Marcy then opened her eyes to see a very shocked look on Anne and Sasha's faces.
"Ok, first of all girl, DANG you accomplished a lot in, what, three months?" Sasha asked.
"Yeah, more or less." Marcy said.
"And second…"
"WHY WOULD YOU EVER SAY THAT AT THE END?!" Anne screamed.
"Uh… it just felt… right?" Marcy said, suddenly unsure of herself.
"Dude, you are pretty much begging for something to happen to you by saying that…" Sasha pointed out.
"Yeah… probably not the best idea to tempt fate like that." Grime pointed out as he took a bite out of some chocolate.
Suddenly, Anne practically leapt at Marcy and pulled her in for a hug.
"I AM NEVER LETTING YOU GO AGAIIIIIINNNNN!" Anne shouted, tears falling from her eyes.
Sasha just let them have that moment, as she went back to cleaning up the house.
"Uh…"
Sasha turned to the front door upon hearing that voice, to see the Plantars standing there… with Chuck.
"Did we miss something?" Hop Pop asked.
"I'm… sure Marcy will tell you about it later… while Anne is out of earshot." Sasha said. "For now though…"
Then, she suddenly began glaring at Sprig.
"Uh…"
And he suddenly feared for his life.
"How's about we teach you the importance of keeping a secret, twerp."
Polly just looked between the two, figured out what this was all about, and began laughing.
"Oh man… have fun Sprig!" Polly said before rolling away.
"Wait, don't leave me here!" Sprig shouted.
"Sorry Sprig, but you really do need to learn some lessons the hard way!" Hop Pop said before walking away.
"I grow Tulips!" Chuck said before walking away as well.
"Come along twerp!" Sasha said in a very menacing tone.
And Sprig swallowed thickly, before following Sasha.

"Wait, how did that Chuck guy fix the house ALREADY?!"
The End.
A shorter one, but a fun one. I really wanted to include Marcy's Theme-song Takeover somewhere in the original story, but never was able to find a good spot. Obviously, I eventually decided that right after "The Dinner" would be a great spot for it, so I decided to write a one shot of it. Poor Anne, all she wants is for her girlfriend to be safe and happy… and then True Colors happens.
Also, having Sasha's interaction with Sprig at the end there was a later addition.
Now then, I have been enjoying my break, and writing bits and pieces of my other and future stories whenever I felt like it, but I figured I'd let you know what's coming up…
