It's funny how I've got ChikaYou, KanaMari, RubyMaru, KotoHono story ideas but somehow AnShuka have a way into my heart XD
But I just experienced Aqours 6th Live so I guess it's not too much of a surprise!?
Inspired by the fact that Anju have not posted anything for 6th Live, so it made me think she's spending Valentine's Day with her dear Shuka first XD
Also inspired by how Shuka still gotta be busy with promo-ing her 2nd Photobook which I'm dying to get my hands on XD
And, inspired by how Anju teased about SUNNY stage setlist during the OCEAN stage live and the tweet from staff-san~

Anju yawns awake at an hour which would be considered late on normal days. But it was not a normal day today – it was the day after a weekend full of excitement, smiles, laughter, tears and sweat. Anju was still feeling the afterglow of Aqours 6th Love Live at Vantelin Dome, Nagoya, when she felt the shuffling of the bed, the warmth beside her wiggling her way out as discreetly as she could.
It's morning already, huh… I wonder what time it is…
Anju yawns a second time, stretching as she lazily gazed around the room with barely half-lidded eyes. Eyeing the curtains, she could make out sunlight.
That does not tell me much.
Her favourite warmth was now moving about the bathroom, most probably preparing for the day.
If Shuka is up… It can either be very early or simply early.
Anju's lips curved upwards slightly, knowing how her girlfriend was uniquely capable of late nights and still energetic early mornings; some days she joke with Shuka that Shuka might be a different breed of human such as how there are different breeds of dogs. Shuka always waggled her eyebrows with a playful smirk at that.
"If I was a different breed of human, will you still like me?"
Anju's lips curled extra higher as she remembers Shuka's question and her answer to that.
"I would not love you any less." Gosh, I say rather blush-worthy things because of Shuka…
Anju hugs a pillow to her face tightly, her heart racing as she remembers how sweetly and adorably Shuka smiles at her reply. She hears the water stopping and footsteps coming closer. The bed indents from the side. A shadow hovers over her. Anju gulps as she tries to steady her breathing and pretend to be asleep.
"I know…"
…! What does Shuka know?
"Stay asleep, kay? I'll be back around noon."
Anju felt Shuka touch the pillow she has covering her face.
Eh? With her face? It does not feel like hands… C-Could it be a good morning-goodbye kiss but because the pillow is on me, she's not going to move it away!?
Anju felt the weight on the bed shift and without thinking, she hastily grabbed Shuka's hand to keep her here.
"Uwa…!" Shuka falls back on the bed with a bounce. "I knew you were awake, but you didn't have to tug me back so violently… Anju."
She knew…
"You could have said something then." Anju pulls the pillow away to give Shuka a judging look.
"I didn't want to wake you." Shuka smiles.
"You knew I was awake already." Anju retorts.
"I want you to rest up more." Shuka grins.
"…" Anju pursed her lips. "I want the same for you."
Shuka's shoulder shakes with silent laughter before a chuckle bubbles out. "I wish. But I've got work."
"You're such a hard worker."
"Thank you. But I've been spoiled with headpats from everyone in Aqours and even my manager…so I think I am rather charged up and raring to go again!" Shuka lifts her right hand to make a show of readiness.
Anju shook her head grinning. "Give it to me before going."
The kiss…
"Give you what?" Shuka blinks innocently.
"Y-You know what…" Anju could not keep eye contact from how embarrassing it was to ask for a kiss. Especially since it was a kiss she was supposed to receive anyways!
Don't be dense now, Shuka!
"Hmm… Could you give me a hint?" Shuka tilts her head to the side, pondering.
Anju turns back to face Shuka, their eyes gazing into each other's – Shuka waiting, Anju hoping.
She's not going to get it, huh…?
"V-Valentine's day." Anju offers a hint.
"You want your chocolate already? I told you to sleep-"
"That's not it!" Anju protests, almost wanting to flail her arms like a spoiled child.
Shuka giggles. "I know~"
"Ah."
S-She knows… She's…
"I'm just teasing~" Shuka sings and Anju feels her cheeks grow warm, warmer than the hand she refused to let go of and gripped tighter.
Ugh, I swear she's the embodiment of 'they tease the one they like'. What are you, an elementary schooler? Mou!
"…" Anju presses her lips in a tight line, holding her breath in anticipation for Shuka to give her what she wants.
Shuka seemed to be purposefully dragging it out as a soft hum plays on her lips, those soft, soft lips that moved as the younger girl breathes and smiles. Only when the bubbly brunette was satisfied with teasing Anju, did she look right into Anju's eyes. The atmosphere got much quieter and louder at the same time.
My heart is attempting to beat out my ribcage…
Shuka leans close enough for her breath to tickle Anju's face, she passed it to allow her hot breath to brush upon Anju's ear. And she whispers, "I'm gonna give it to ya, kay?"
Not waiting for a reply, Shuka presses her lips to Anju's cheek, her eyes closed and Anju's shut tight a second after.
Ahhhhhhhhh! What is this feeling?
Shuka pulls away and there was an impossibly soft sound of those lips moving away from Anju's red-hot, blush-covered cheek that only served to make Anju's heart do a million Miracle Wave flips.
Is this how You-chan feels when Chika-chan teases her? Is it? Ahh…
Shuka giggles and Anju could tell she was embarrassed too; the way Shuka blinked a myriad of times, the way her eyebrows bent, the way Shuka wrung the hem of her shirt. "I-I'm going now, okay? Be sure to rest up."
Anju nods but does not let go of Shuka's hand when she stands. Words were hard for Anju at the moment so she simply got up and out of bed, looking to the door so Shuka understood that she wanted to see Shuka off to work.
"You're cute." Shuka comments.
…!
"Uuuu…" Anju made embarrassing sounds, refusing to look at Shuka's teasing look.
You're the cute one!
"Off I go~"
"Take care and come back soon," Anju calls as Shuka waves goodbye.
The sounds of the door being unlocked sounded and Anju had to will herself to not entertain the thoughts of welcoming Shuka home with the embarrassing 3 choices. It was in the middle of the day! No way Anju is going to do something that outrageous.
"I'm home~" Shuka's energetic voice fills the room and Anju felt a huge smile grace her face already.
"I'm here~" Anju calls from the living room.
"Oh! I smell food! Anju… Even though I told you to rest." Shuka was all smiles as she removes her navy-blue beanie and placed a box of KFC on the dining table that had an array of dishes garnishing it already.
Anju laughs. "I did."
"Cooking such a delicious meal for us does not look like rest, Inami-san." Shuka leans over the table to smell all the food that just got cooked up.
Anju could not help the prideful smile on her lips at Shuka appreciating her cooking. "Well, going out of your way to buy KFC for me does not look like 'come home to me as fast as you can', Shuka-san."
Shuka shakes her head, a fond smile permanently on her face. "I couldn't help it…! I still feel so energetic from the live concert. And, and, I just want to love on you, ya know?"
Her energy and love are way too infectious…
Anju feels warmth tingle from her toes, fingertips to the crown of her head. "Ah, I know that feeling fully."
"I literally can't wait for March." Shuka was bounced on the spot, her eagerness spilling.
"I can't wait to surprise everyone with what we have prepared~" Anju nods, nods and nods again, her excitement unconcealable too.
"RIGHT!? Ahh, I'm exploding with eagerness to move and be with everyone again!"
Anju laughs again. "Hey, hey. Watch those moves. I don't want you getting hurt at the dining table."
What's with that very clean and sharp hand shudders? Thinking of Aqours Pirates Desire again?
"Aww, you're so sweet~ Pamper me more~?" Shuka lowers her head to Anju, eyes large and adorable like a puppy begging for more snacks.
"As much as you like. Now eat." Anju commands, taking a seat.
Shuka beams and hops into her seat beside Anju, facing her girlfriend and opening her mouth. "Ah~n~"
!? Wha—
Anju gulps at the sight of Shuka opening her mouth waiting, eyes closed and just. Cute. She could feel hearts being flung her way with how much she adored Shuka's unabashed attention for her.
Anju feeds Shuka blushingly. "…Ah~n."
"Hehehe~ Delicious "
"Mou…"
Truly, my girlfriend is too cute.
