Chapter 2: Blake + Tori
Tori was patiently waiting for her boyfriend at the airport. It was hard dating someone who was always traveling. Her boyfriend, Blake, was a motocross star racing with Factory Blue. They were both power rangers a while back and fought against Lothor. Blake was offered his dream opportunity right after Lothor was defeated and couldn't pass it up. Both of them revealed their feelings for each other right before Blake had to leave the first time. They managed to find a way to make a long-distance relationship work, no matter how hard it is.
Tori had just gotten back the day before. She had been approached by the Sentinel Knight to help the Operation Overdrive rangers when they lost their powers because of Thrax. She didn't tell Blake that she had just morphed again. They had left that life behind them after they helped the Dino Thunder rangers. At least, she thought they did until the Sentinel Knight told her that another team of rangers needed help. She does have to admit that it was nice seeing Kira again and meeting other rangers. The others haven't met the rangers that she just did. She already had Kira's number from when they teamed up before, but after the team-up she was just a part of, she made sure to get phone numbers from Xander, Adam, and Bridge. It's strange how much she actually missed being a power ranger. She thought that it would be nice not to have to worry about the world being destroyed on a daily basis, but it was still a part of her life for so long that she missed saving the world.
Tori looked up as the people from Blake's flight started coming out. It takes a few minutes before Tori spots Blake. "Blake!" she said excitedly. It has felt like forever since Blake had some time off and came to Blue Bay Harbor to visit.
"Hey Tor," Blake said as came up to Tori and hugged her. "Happy Valentine's Day." When Blake called Tori and told her that he would be coming to visit on Valentine's Day, he promised her that they would spend the day just the two of them before seeing any of the others. Although, he would be seeing Hunter that night when he would go to Hunter's apartment to stay there while visiting. Although, he might end up at Tori's place for a couple of nights.
"Happy Valentine's Day," Tori said.
They walked out of the airport and to Tori's van. "You still have the van?" Blake asked.
"Of course. I still give the others rides when they need it."
Blake laughed. "Some things never change."
"They sure don't," Tori agreed. Blake loaded his stuff in the back, and they hopped into the van and took off.
"How has the surfboard shop been?" Blake asked as they started driving.
"Business has been good," Tori responded. "What do you want to do first?"
"Anything you want," Blake replied.
"We could go to the beach. Just like we used to all the time."
"I'd like that."
Blake and Tori went to the beach and when they got there, they decided to just walk around for a while. They love to have moments that were just the two of them. With Blake always traveling, they don't get that often. Even when Blake is there, the others are always trying to steal him away and they don't take the hint that Tori wants to be alone with him for a while. That's why she was excited when Blake promised that it would just be the two of them for Valentine's Day. After a while, they both sat down on the sand and watched the sunset.
"Why didn't you tell me that you morphed again?" Blake asked suddenly.
Tori looked at Blake and blinked. She was clearly taken aback by what he just asked her. "How-how did you know?" she asked.
"Hunter told me."
"I didn't tell him. I didn't tell anybody."
"He said that Cam saw your morpher get activated and Shane and Dustin happened to be in the room at the time and you know how good Dustin is at keeping a secret. He told Hunter as soon as he saw him, and Hunter called me to see if I knew anything about it."
"I'm sorry. This golden guy came and asked me to morph again. He said that it was an emergency because another team of rangers lost their powers. He wanted me to help protect the Corona Aurora which is a powerful crown that they're trying to find all of the crystals for."
"I'm not mad, Tori. I just wished you had told me before you went running off fighting monsters again."
Tori nodded. "I know I should've, but I wasn't sure how you were going to react."
"I would've been worried for you, of course, but I would've supported you doing it. Just next time, please tell me."
"I will."
"Good."
Tori had noticed that Blake had seemed a little worried about something since she picked him up, but she hadn't said anything. "Is everything alright?" she asked.
"Yeah," he said. "It's just we've been through so much together since we've known each other, and I don't know why I'm so nervous to do this." Blake stood up and got onto one knee. He pulled out a little black box with a beautiful ring inside it. "Tori, will you marry me?"
"Yes! Of course, I will!" Tori hopped up and Blake stood up as Tori wrapped her arms around him. They kissed and once they pulled apart, Blake slipped the ring onto Tori's finger.
They went out to dinner afterwards, where the waiter found out that they had just got engaged and they received a free dessert, and then Tori took Blake to Hunter's apartment. They walked up to the door together and Blake knocked before he looked back at Tori. "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you," he said.
"Same here," Tori responded.
They kissed again as Hunter opened the door. "Really? You had to do that when I opened the door," he said. They both pulled apart and blushed as they hadn't realized that Hunter was standing there. "Did you do it?" Hunter asked Blake.
"I did," Blake said. "We're engaged."
Hunter smiled. "Congratulations you two."
Blake gave Tori one last kiss on the cheek before she left. The smile never left his face. He was finally engaged to the girl of his dreams.
A/N: I hope you enjoyed!
