Here's a short story about some of my favorite characters in the Total Drama franchise. This story takes place right after my other story Stranded Deep. It follows Sammy, Jasmine, and Shawn from Pahkitew Island. Nikita belongs to me.
The dark clouds were clearing away and the ocean became silent. The waves were becoming smaller and steadier as the storm dissipated. As the S.S. Onward reached dry land, all the survivors left the ship and headed outside. The ground was still wet from the storm, but luckily everyone was alive and well. Inside the ship, some of the Total Drama cast were sitting together on the deck talking about their ordeal.
"Man, what a day this has been!" Owen said. "Yeah. I still can't believe we survived a massive geostorm. Those things are extremely rare." Cameron said. "Good thing Nikki and NightStar built this ark so we could all survive." Gwen said.
As they sat together around the tables, Emma, Kitty, and the Adversity Twins Jay and Mickey came by and greeted them.
"Hey, guys! What's up?" Kitty asked. "Nothing. We're just talking about surviving the geostorm thanks to Nikki and NightStar." Mike said. "Yeah, that was a close call. I thought for sure we were all going to die." Owen said. "But luckily, we didn't. Thanks to those two." Cameron said. "Mickey and I were pretty worried back there." Jay said. "We didn't think we were going to make it." Mickey said.
The twins were always dealing with many afflictions and illnesses. They've dealt with adversity their whole lives. But luckily they had each other to get through all their troubles. They even joined the Ridonculous Race to prove that they could make it through any crisis together.
"You two are very lucky to have each other." Zoey said. "Yeah, I guess we are. I'm really glad that we're brothers." Jay said. "Me too. We were meant to be together." Mickey said.
The twins smiled and placed their arms around each other. They were perfect for each other as siblings. Everyone else could see it in their eyes that the brothers were inseparable.
"I'm really glad to have my big sister Emma with me." Kitty said. "She's the best sister I could ever have!"
This touched Emma dearly, she loved having her younger sister around. Even during times of crisis, Kitty was always cheery and bright.
"Aww! Thanks, Kitty. I'm happy to have you around too." Emma said. "I knew we were meant to be siblings."
Emma and Kitty joined the Ridonculous Race together, where Emma was the leader. Despite their differences, Emma and Kitty loved each other very much. They were the perfect sisters and they knew that they were meant for each other.
"You guys are so sweet when you're together." Bridgette said. "Yeah, just like two peas in a pot or something." Owen said. "Brody is like a bro to me. We have a lot in common with each other." Geoff said. "Thanks, bro. I feel the same way." Brody said.
The clouds started to clear away and the sun shined right through. The waves grew calmer and the wind died down a little. Everyone else was already off the ship and getting ready to set up shelters for the night. Soon they'll be able to return back to their respective home realms and back to their old lives once more.
"I'm just glad this whole ordeal is finally over and we can all go back home real soon." Noah said. "Yeah. I'm ready to go back to our old lives once more." Zoey said. "I'll bet everyone else is thinking the same way." Cameron said.
The group of friends were really looking forward to going home with their families and returning back to their normal lives once more. They've had a rough few weeks, but they somehow managed to pull through and make it through the geostorm together. Now, they were on safe ground and in one piece.
"I can't wait to go home and see my family again." Mike said. "Me too. I actually miss my mom and brother." Gwen said. "I miss my family too." Zoey said. "I'll bet mom and dad will be very proud of us for making it through the geostorm, Mickey." Jay said. "Yeah." Mickey said.
Then Dawn arrived and sat down next to Zoey. She seemed very happy and well rested from meditating.
"Greetings, I heard you talking and decided to join you all in your conversation." She said. "Hi, Dawn. We were just talking about how we're looking forward to reuniting with our families." Kitty said. "I can't wait to see our parents." Emma said. "Well, not all of us will have happy lives." Bridgette said.
The group knew exactly who she was talking about: she was referring to Sammy. As far as they knew, Sammy had a horrible upbringing. But it wasn't because of her parents, it was because of her twin sister Amy.
"It's so sad that Sammy will have to go back to living with her cruel, wicked sister." Cameron said. "Yeah. I'm sure glad me and Jay aren't like them." Mickey said. "I'll say." Jay said. "I feel bad for Sammy, having to put up with such an evil witch like Amy." Emma said. "I can't even imagine what that poor girl's going through."
She was really glad that she wasn't like Amy. Sure she criticizes Kitty sometimes, but unlike Amy, she truly loves her younger sister very much. Emma doesn't like the way Amy treats her twin sister Sammy or how most of the other Pahkitew Island cast thinks Amy is the better twin. Amy has managed to fool most of their schoolmates and teammates.
"But Sammy's not going to go back home with her evil sister." Dawn said. "What do you mean by that?" Kitty asked. "Nikki has convinced her to leave Amy and travel around the multiverse on a sailboat." Dawn said. "Really? That can't be true." Bridgette said. "It is. Jasmine and Shawn will also be joining her on her journey." Dawn said.
Jasmine and Shawn were the first two friends Sammy made since coming to Pahkitew Island. They were the first two people who weren't fooled by Amy's ruse. Jasmine even became something of a surrogate older sister to Sammy since Amy has failed to do so.
"Well that's great, at least Sammy can now lead a better life than she was before." Zoey said. "I wonder where she is now…" Mike said, staring into the horizon of the ocean.
On a sailboat far in the ocean, Sammy was looking ahead wearing her new polynesian clothes. She was joined by her friends Jasmine and Shawn, who were both looking at the map and helping hoist the sail. In the water below, Nikita was swimming next to the ship in her sea monster form.
"Woo-hoo!" She shouted as she leaped into the air. "Go, Nikki!" Shawn shouted. "Way to go, mate." Jasmine said. "Hi, Nikki!" Sammy shouted.
As Nikita swam next to their ship, Jasmine and Shawn stood together while steering their boat which they dubbed the New Dawn. Sammy was on top of the boat leaning against the pole of the sail.
"Time for a new beginning. A fresh new start." She said.
Finally free from Amy, Sammy was ready to start a new life for herself. With her friends by her side, she was ready to face any challenges that came their way. The future was looking bright for her and she couldn't wait to see what it had in store for her.
