Chapter 9: Smurf to the future
Disclaimer: I do not own The Smurfs, they are owned by Peyo. I only Hector, Emily, and Cindy because they're my OCs. SmurfAggie appears courtesy of I. M. Rally. Anyways, enjoy.
It was a nice, sunny, and smurfy day in Smurf Village, and all the smurfs were going about their smurfy day. SmurfAggie, however, was feeling a little homesick, which Hector noticed.
"Aunt Aggie, is something wrong?" asked Hector.
"No, I'm just feeling a little homesick," said SmurfAggie.
"Well, dad felt homesick a couple of times back in Smurfy Grove, but then he remembered that your true home… is with people who care about you."
Aggie was, honestly, surprised about Hector's great advice. "Wow, thanks Hector. But you know what I really miss about my home?"
"No. What do you miss?"
"I miss all the buildings, the nice people, and just the smell of a city. But I think it's best if you smurfs stay in the middle ages. I mean, it's not like Papa or Willow have a spell for time traveling into the modern day of this universe." She then noticed Hector had his idea face on. "You're thinking about asking them, are you?"
"You know me so well. I'll come back to you when I find a spell." He then went to find Papa and Willow.
At Papa Smurf's lab…
Once Hector came into Papa's lab, he searched the book section about time, which Papa Smurf noticed.
"Hector, what are you doing here?" asked Papa Smurf.
"I'm looking for a spell that can transport our village to modern day New York, so Aunt Aggie won't feel homesick," explained Hector.
"Okay, but don't you think the other smurfs would want to stay here? There are a lot of friends we made in the middle ages."
"Don't worry, because I found a spell that'll transport the village, the smurfs who live in it, and all the friends we made. Oh, but it only works if you give the spell a destination."
"Well, try to think of a destination in New York that's big enough for the village, and is close to a river, you know how Handy gets if he's far away from Marina."
"I know, that's why I've chosen… Central Park." He then added that part into the spell, it's a good thing it was a 'make your own spell' kind of thing. He then began to say the magic words. "McReary-Time Reary, all friends not enemies, take us to Central Park in New York City, make this journey quick and smurfy!"
As soon as he finished saying the magic words, he looked out the window in shock. The spell worked, they were in Central Park.
"Wow, the spell worked! There aren't any side effects, right, Papa Smurf?"
"Don't worry, Hector. Since you performed the spell correctly, nothing will go wrong."
"Great! I'll go see if SmurfAggie likes this." He then left Papa's lab, and ran to SmurfAggie. On his way there, he noticed the other smurfs looked at the new setting in amazement. After about five minutes, he made it to SmurfAggie. "Hey, Aunt Aggie. So, what do you think?"
"Hector, I'm gonna be honest with you," began SmurfAggie. "This is… the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me!" She then gave Hector a big hug. "I'm glad you're my godchild."
"You're welcome, but can you stop cutting off my oxygen supplies," said Hector, causing SmurfAggie to end the hug.
"Sorry, I'm just so proud of you for doing something nice to me. I didn't even know you would do all this."
"Yeah, I can do almost anything."
"Alright, which one of you did it?" asked SmurfStorm, as she walked towards the two.
"Don't worry, mom. I only used that spell to move the village to modern day, which looks pretty great so far," said Hector.
"Actually, I was asking if either of you ate my sandwich.. Wait, you moved the village, but why?" asked SmurfStorm.
"I noticed Aunt Aggie was feeling homesick, so I used a magic spell to move the village to modern day New York. You know, so she'd feel right at home," explained Hector. To his surprise, Stormy actually smiled, and gently hugged him. "Does this mean you're not mad?"
"Why would I be mad? You did something nice to Aggie when no one noticed she was upset," said SmurfStorm. "That was the smurfy thing to do. I'm very proud of you."
"Thanks, mom," said Hector, as the hug ended. "Can I explore New York with Emily?"
"Okay, but take SmurfAggie with you so you don't get lost," said SmurfStorm. "And Aggie, make sure Hector comes back in one piece."
"Don't worry, we'll be fine," said SmurfAggie, as she and Hector went to find Emily.
"Bye mom," said Hector, causing Stormy to smile and tear up.

"Wow, New York is so cool," said Emily.
"I know. And nobody even knows we're right under their noses," said SmurfAggie.
Suddenly, Hector saw what looked like a red dragon flying in the air. "Hey, look!" said Hector, pointing to the dragon. "I better see what's going on. Dragon Up!" He turned into his dragon form, and flew to the red dragon.
The smurfs and SmurfAggie will return…
I wonder who that red dragon is? We won't find out until the next crossover story. I'm sorry it took so long to post this chapter, I was busy with schoolwork and playing Sonic Adventure 2 (I know I'm only an 8th grader, but I'm also a big fan of Sonic the Hedgehog). Until we meet again.
