A/N: Hey, guys. Got another one for ya. This one will be about Anakin having a younger twin sister named Ariana Skywalker, and their journey through The Phantom Menace. Hope you guys enjoy.
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...
On the desert planet of Tatooine, in the city of Mos Espa, on the top of their hut were two children. Twins to be exact. A brother and a sister. Their names were Anakin and Ariana Skywalker. Anakin, who was the elder of the two, had dark blond hair and wore a beige tunic and pants. As well as a brown holed undershirt and boots, along with a brown sash wrapped around his waist. While Ariana, his sister, had long brown hair braided into two french braids that reach a little past her shoulders. She had on a forest green colored tunic with a beige undershirt and pants, along with brown boots and a brown sash wrapped around her waist, like her brother. And not only do they share the same age, which is nine years old, they also have same of blue eyes. They were also each other's best friend.
For as long as they can remember they and their mother, Shmi Skywalker, have been slaves on this dust ball of a planet. While they do not have much and must do the bidding of others, the Skywalker family were happy as long as they had each other.
It is on this night that we find the twins laying upon the roof of their home. Gazing up at the thousands upon thousands of twinkling stars, dreaming of one day of exploring them all and for a new, and better life.
"Hey, Ani?," Ariana said as they gazed up at the sky.
"Yeah?," he questioned.
"Do you think that we'll ever be able to see all the other planets?"
"Of course. And we'll become Jedi, come back, and free all the slaves!"
"Really?" Ariana turned to look at him with an awed look on her face.
"Yeah. Why wouldn't we?," he asked confusedly. When he did not receive an answer, he turned his head to see his twin giving him a look that says, "Isn't obvious?" It took him a second to understand what she was thinking, but when he did the only thing that came out his mouth was a big, long, "Ooohhh."
It was the small explosive device which is implanted in all the slaves. If they were to ever try to run away, it would be the last thing that they would ever do.
When neither of them had anything else to say, they both turned back to look at the stars. After a minute or two of silence passed, it was Anakin's turn to start up the conversation when a thought crossed his mind. He sat up and turned towards his sister. "Hey, Ari?," he asked.
"What's up?," she answered doing the same thing.
He held out his pinky finger and said, "Promise that we'll always be there for each other?"
Ariana smiled and hooked her pinky finger around her brother's. She knew how important their family was to him, because it was important to her as well. . "Promise." She then laugh saying, "And the one who breaks our promise first, has to roll around in bantha dung."
Anakin laughed at that then and managed out, "Deal."
"And besides even if we're far away from each other we can still thought-talk with each other," she joked. Ever since they were just little kids, they have been able to talk with each other by hearing one another's thoughts. and while they do not know how they are able to do it, nobody except their mother knows. It is because Shmi is afraid of what will happen to her children should anyone find out.
"We are not calling it that," Anakin laughed out, this time Ariana joining him.
After the siblings were done with their laughing fit and still had smiles on their faces, Ariana spoke up. "Come on," she said, "let's go work some more on C-3PO before mom says it is time to go to bed."
"Yeah," Anakin agreed.
And so, the Skywalker twins went back down into their shelter for the night, unaware of how much or how fast their lives would be changed forever.
