"Neither had I." smith replied. The men were distracted as their comrades were in a scuffle with citizens. "Oh shit." smith glanced, taking lead as Murray followed.
"Hey, hey. Calm down, buddy." smith calmly suggested. The angry citizen chose to ignore and disobey.

"What's his problem?"
"His daughter was killed by protesters." smith answered and followed after Murray.
Meanwhile, the young family prepared to go topside. Miriam kissed her boys each forehead.
"Mummy will be back soon. Stay here " splinter insisted gently.
"I'm coming with you."
"No,love. I'll be back soon. Besides, I'll be fast "
"Alright, be safe love."
"Promise."

"Nothing is wrong, my son." splinter smiled warmly but deep inside, something didn't feel right. Miriam smiled and waved.
"See you soon."
Leaving the manhole half open and quietly but quickly stepped to the nearest shadowed wall side. Waiting patiently until she saw an opening to leave her faithful shadow hiding as what she had witnessed. instantly worried her.
Took a breathe, calmed down and stepped out from the shadows and joined in the crowd of people. Unaware she is been hunted and they're getting closer. Miriam's only focus is to get the essentials for her hungry family.
Luckily she found a empty trolley close by and she grabbed it. Entering the supermarket, astounded to what was taken and wasn't. Miriam chosen the most important food that will be easy to eat which wasn't much left. Then, the other important essentials were next.
Blankets, even clothing. They too we're almost gone. Grabbing whatever she could find and avoided any altercations with destressed, frightened panick buyers and rioters. It was chaos, madness at its worse.
Miriam was only a few steps on the right when she witnessed two women, physically battering eachother. Keeping her distance, safely walking away with the food and other essentials importantly needed. Participating in non sense which was occuring, she walked to the alleyway that she came from.
Miriam suddenly felt uneasy, stopped for a moment and looked back. Only saw the somewhat dimmed alley opening, and a cat meowed and ran across the path. She sighed with relief and continued on to the manhole.
"Love." She softly called as she moved the manhole cover aside. Splinter looked up, smiled and answered.
"Yes, I'm here."
