Dr. borenaz flipped through the papers, reading the reports. Sighed heavily and frustratedly, placing the clipboard down. Sitting down and leaned back, circling two fingers on each temple. Light feet approached him and finally, opened his eyes.
"Hello sir." he greeted. "So." stockman begun and paced alittle. "What is the result?"
Dr.borenaz answered. "All subjects have died after recieving the serum.Whatever it was that Dr. Melrose had used in the formula, it is unstable."
"How many have died to this experiment?" stockman asked. "23."
Dr.borenaz answered. Stockman lowered his cybernetic glance, only desired to sigh and repeated the answer. "23?"
Dr borenaz nodded. "Yes."
"Is the vaccine for the virus completed?"
"The first batch is ready for testing."
Dr borenaz stood up and took out the vile of vaccine. "This is the first needle of the experiment vaccine."
"The patients?"
"Waiting."
"Test on the lab rats first."
"Understood Dr stockman." Borenaz replied.
"What will we report to agent bishop?" he asked. Stockman grabbed the clipboard, looked over it once and replied. "Tell him the truth."
"Do you think, he'd accept it?"
"Dont know. We are too close for mistakes, must not fail and how long for the other experiments?" Dr.borenaz glanced stockman strangely for a moment then answered.
"What other experiments?"
Stockman suddenly realised and glitched for a second. "Never mind, get to work."
Taking the clipboard and walked away but stopped in the corridor as borenaz called. "Doctor?"
"What is it?" stockman lowly answered. "The clipboard." Borenaz answered.
Stockman looked down, realised and walked back then handed over the clipboard. "Sorry."
Resumed walking and borenaz stood silent. Meanwhile back in new york, the EFP soldiers returned to the closet manhole.
"Squadron four, copy?" major smith radioed. "Copy that, waiting for orders."
"Will need a stretcher and harness."
"Copy that, sending stretcher down now."
Major smith and fernandaz waited to place angelez, strapped him in safely. Lightly tugged on the rope for the stretcher to be lifted. Few minutes after the stretcher was lowered once again. Miriam was placed and strapped in then lifted up and ushered in the vehicle, a black bag placed over her head and hands tied.
"Alright, soldier.Lower down the harnesses." major smith instructed.
"Copy that, sir." one soldier answered, lowering the harness down. Major smith was first, cradling a small blanket wrap infant.
"What is that, sir?" one asked. Unveiling the terrapin toddler in his embrace and the reaction of the soldiers wasnt surprised.
"Is that? What is it?"
"i suspect to be a reptile, a turtle maybe. Three others and a large brown rat."
"Rat?!"
"Yes, soldier. A rat. Is there a problem?"
"No, no problem."
"Good. Bind the girls hands and the rat."
Back in the facility...the laboratory, scientists pacing across or back then forth throughout the room. Reading, writing notes and reports of experiments. Both failure and successful. Standing of the centre, watching the live footage of current events in the facility.
Witnessing patients experiencing reactions to the vaccine of the virus created. Others, of more positive cases taken into isolation. And lastly, of footage of the civilians in chaotic panic. Causing immense riots and destruction. Agent bishop expressed no emotion, no remorse, no empathy or sympathetic compassion.
Dr. borenaz with stockman walked in and agent bishop inquired softly. "Now, what is the results? is the vaccine stable for this virus and what results of the serum formula?"
Dr.borenaz sighed lowly, stockman glitched alittle. "Serum is unstable and the vaccine isn't 100% stable " borenaz answered. Bishop turned around slowly and glanced both, lowly said. "How long?"
Stockman and borenaz glanced eachother for a second then answered. "Not sure."
"Well, get to it doctors. Time is running out. The mayor is breathing down my neck expecting answers and I should be breathing down his."
borenaz gulped deeply and slowly. "Yes sir, right away sir." borenaz answered.
Stockman noticed the incoming icon flashing on the screen.
"Agent bishop, one of the squadrons are reporting. It is major smith." he said, informing the agent.
Turned slightly and saw the flashing icon them instructed. "Patch him through."
The video connection opened, revealed his face.
"Agent bishop, we have found the girl and also have something else that you'd be interested to observe " major smith reported confidently. With a raise of his brow behind his sunglasses, he replied.
"Is that so soldier? Bring them back to bae and bring them quickly."
"Right away sir." major smith answered, disconnecting the video connection. Pushing back his glasses and smiled pleasingly but hopeful.
"Prep a room for our guests of honour, finally I have her."
