Heather didn't realize that she fell back to sleep. She was woken up by her boyfriend checking her forehead for a fever.

"Buenos días, mi amor," Alejandro says as he moves a piece of hair from Heather's face.

"You're lucky that I'm too tired to yell at you," Heather mumbles while trying to get comfortable again.

Alejandro chuckles softly then kisses her temple only for her to mumble something incoherent. "Very lucky." He says with a smirk.

Heather was far too tired to start fussing at him. All she wanted was to go back to sleep again.

"Well, you don't have a fever, you look exhausted."

"I am. Puking earlier didn't help." Heather says. Then she realized that she let that slip.

The Latino looks at her with concern, "You threw up, Heather?"

"It's probably just a stomach bug."

"You never throw up, mi amor."

She couldn't argue with that. First being super sensitive to smell now just plain throwing up. There was something going on.

"C'mon Heather. I'm taking you to the hospital." Alejandro says as he gets up.

"What? Why?" Heather says now sitting up too.

"Something is clearly going on. It's for the best if we go and see what's wrong."

Heather glares at him for a second then sighs. He has a point. She gets up and puts on a pair of gray sweatpants and an old hoodie that had Within Temptation on it. She then grabs her pillow and walks over to him.

Alejandro raises an eyebrow, "You're okay wearing that?"

"I'm too tired to care."

"Fair enough."

They decided to just take Alejandro's car. Heather slept the majority of the ride to the hospital. The rest of the ride was spent either looking out the window or looking at Alejandro while he is watching the road. By the time they made it to the hospital, Heather was almost too comfortable to get out of the car. Almost.

Since it wasn't an emergency, Heather decided it was best to go over to the gynecologist section of the hospital. This particular hospital is one of the only ones that will take in walk-ins, especially the gynecologist.

This wasn't the first time Alejandro accompanied Heather to the gynecologist, and it probably won't be the last. Heather was thankful that he wasn't weirded out by going to the gynecologist with her. If it was anyone else like her brothers or father, she would've been better off going by herself.

They walked into the gynecologist section and Heather checked herself in. They sat down at one of the many seats in the waiting room and Heather started filling out the paperwork. It's been a few years since Heather went to the gynecologist. It brought some unpleasant memories back. Heather's mother basically forced her to get on birth control when she turned 14, even though Heather never had terrible periods nor was she sexually active. Something about girls like Heather needed to be on birth control. The older Heather got, the more she realized that her mother basically called her a slut.

Heather's mother has always been the first person to criticize her on every little thing. When Heather was 7 she wanted to join the gymnastics club at her school, but her mother immediately shot her down and told her that gymnastics will never get her a good-paying job. When Heather was diagnosed with depression at 12, her mother criticized her and told her that she had nothing to be sad about. When Heather gained weight from the depression, her mother told her that she needed to go on a diet and that no one would find her attractive. Because of her mother, Heather never felt good enough. Heather was her mother's favorite punching bag.

Heather must have been staring off into space because she felt Alejandro put his hand on her shoulder and give it a gentle squeeze. Heather snapped out of her trance and looked at her boyfriend.

"Are you alright, mi amor?" Alejandro asked.

Heather shakes her head some, "Yeah, just got lost in my thoughts."

Before Alejandro could ask Heather what she was thinking, Heather quickly got up and returned the paperwork to the front desk lady then came and sat back down by him. Being able to read Heather like an open book, Alejandro knew that she didn't want to talk about it so he decided to change the subject.

"What do you think the doctor will tell you?" He asks.

"Probably that I have the stomach bug and that you are overreacting," Heather says, trying to act casual even though she herself is a bit afraid of what the gynecologist will tell her.

Alejandro chuckles and rolls his eyes as he takes one of Heather's hands into his, "I might be, but on the contrary, I do worry about your health. I just want to know that you are alright, mi amor. I don't think that is overreacting."

Heather blushes and looks away, "Yeah, w-whatever."

"Stupid hot boyfriend that genuinely cares about me." Heather thinks to herself.

The door leading to the patient rooms opens and a petite black nurse walks out. "Heather Armstrong?" The nurse asks in an innocent voice.

Heather stands up, "That's me."

"I will stay out here," Alejandro tells Heather.

Heather nods and follows the nurse to the back. The nurse then weighs Heather and takes her height. Then the nurse leads Heather to a room. Heather takes a seat at the table. The nurse then takes Heather's blood pressure, temperature, and some blood for testing. The nurse then made Heather go to the bathroom and take a urine test. When Heather came back she gave the small cup to the nurse and sat back on the table. After all that, the nurse sits down by the computer and starts typing.

"What are your symptoms?" Asks the nurse.

Heather thought for a second, "Well, obviously the vomiting. Then there's the supersensitivity to smells. Tiredness. Sometimes I feel lightheaded, but I think that's just from stress."

The nurse nods and types the information into the computer, "What about your menstrual cycle? When was your last one?"

Heather froze. The last one she remembered was about 5 days before her anniversary with Alejandro. No. She can't be.

"Uh, I don't remember," Heather says.

"Give me a time frame."

"2 months ago? Something like that."

The nurse types it in then stands up to leave, "Alright. Dr. Bar will be with you in just a few minutes." The nurse then left the room.

About 7 or 8 minutes later, the doctor came in and introduced herself as Dr. Bar. She was a small, skinny woman. She had long blonde hair and huge hazel eyes. Her tone and attitude were very calm but professional.

Dr. Bar then sat down where the nurse was sitting before and got some papers out of a folder that she brought in.

"Now Miss Armstrong, the results of the tests all came back in flying colors. You don't have any serious illness."

Heather raises an eyebrow, "Then what? No healthy person vomits as hard or fast as I did this morning."

Dr. Bar chuckles at Heather's snappiness, "Well, that's what I'm about to talk about. Both your blood and urine test came back as positive for pregnancy."

"Pregnancy?" Heather asks in horror.

Dr. Bar nods, "Usually those two tests are enough to determine pregnancy but by protocol, we have to do an ultrasound."

"Great. Just great." Heather mumbles into her hands.

10 minutes later Heather is in the ultrasound room laying on the bed while the ultrasound tech is getting the machine ready. Then the tech pulls out a bottle of gel.

"This will be cold." The tech warns Heather.

Heather tenses up when the tech puts the gel on her lower stomach and abdomen. The tech then puts the wand on Heather and starts moving it around. Heather watches the screen in fascination. Soon a thumping noise fills up the room.

"That would be the heartbeat." Says the tech.

"So… that means I'm pregnant."

The tech nods, "Congratulations."

After that, Dr. Bar gives Heather a prescription for prenatal vitamins and a picture of the ultrasound. Heather was free to go.

Heather felt sick to her stomach, and it wasn't because of the baby. What the hell was she going to tell Alejandro? Would he leave her alone with a baby? Would he not find her attractive anymore? So many thoughts were going through her head. What about school? Work? Can they handle a baby?

Heather walked back to the waiting room and saw Alejandro casually reading one of the maternity magazines. Alejandro notices Heather come out and puts the magazine down and stands up.

"Mi amor. I hope you are alright?"

Heather nods, "Yeah. Can we talk at your place?"

"Of course."

They get back into Alejandro's car and drive over to his apartment. Well, apartment is a bit of an understatement. It was more like a penthouse. Alejandro has always been the type to like being alone. After All-Stars, his parents paid for a place for him. Heather hung out there sometimes when she didn't have to work or help her parents. When she is there, the two antagonists like to do their own thing together.

Heather wanted to talk to Alejandro in his bedroom. His bedroom was the master bedroom, therefore being the most private room in the penthouse.

"We are alone now, Heather. What is going on?" Alejandro asks as he crosses his arms.

"Well… how do you feel about kids?" Heather asks.

The Latino raises an eyebrow, "I'm completely fine with kids. Why are you asking that?"

Why was this so hard to say? It's literally two ass words.

"Uhh… well…"

"Heather?"

Heather groans to herself then just grab the ultrasound picture out of her bag and shove it to him, "Here."

Alejandro grabs the picture in pure confusion, "What is this?" He asks then looks at the picture. Alejandro Burromuerto was many things, but an idiot (despite what Heather says) was not one of them. It took him a minute to realize what exactly was in the picture. Heather was ready for him to get upset, but that didn't happen. Instead, she saw his jade eyes shimmer with an emotion that she had never seen before in them.

"¿Estás embarazada?" Alejandro looks back at Heather.

"

Yes?" Heather answers confused.

Heather was still trying to understand Spanish. If it was Chinses, Japanese, or even French, she could understand it. But when it came to Spanish, she could only pick up on some things. And most of those things are very not safe for work. Heather put a mental note in her head that she needs to look into some Spanish courses.

"Sorry. You're pregnant?"

"Yes." She says with more confidence.

"How long?"

"2 months. When the condom broke. Apparently birth control isn't always 100%. The doctor said about 7 weeks. And… I want to keep it."

Alejandro's eyes shimmer again, "You do?"

Heather blinks a couple of times, "You're not mad?"

Alejandro wraps both of his arms around Heather's waist and pulls her closer to him, "Mi amor, I wouldn't ever be mad about something like that. If anything, I'm thrilled. This is just another accomplishment to be proud of."

Heather tried her hardest to not blush, "Really?"

He nods his head and softly kisses her forehead, "Really."
