Ash Ketchum, a recent holder of Unova champion title is coming back at his home town, Pallet Town.
"I can't express my gratitude to you and all our other friends who took part in the battles. Thanks to all of you and because of that we are the champions. Now we have to defeat champion of the Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh as well. Post that we will challenge Kalos region league" said Ash to Pikachu
"That's true, we want to show the world what we are made of" said Pikachu
"Let's go, we need to walk for three more hours and we will be there." said Ash as all of sudden Ash saw explosion in the air and then an object fell towards Ash. When Ash caught it, he saw that it is none other than Celebi.
"Celebi, you okay" asked Ash but there is no answer. Ash and Pikachu soon surrounded by Houndoom and Skarmory who are preparing the attack.
"Damn, I only have Pikachu with me.I have sent Meloetta back to Ridley so that she can enjoy. Charizard is at charicific valley and Mewtwo is also not here. And my other pokemon at the lab" said Ash to himself
"I have to save Celebi at any cost," said Ash to himself
"Pikachu, use thunder at full power," said Ash as Pikachu launched thunder full power that knocked out a few Houndoom.
"Celebi wake up, we have to get out of here. Sorry Celebi but I have to capture you. Pikachu get ready " said Ash
"Give that Celebi to me," said a new voice. Ash saw that a person on the hoverboard is standing behind the houndoom. Beside him are his Tyranitar and Ursaring.
"I will never give Celebi to people like you," said Ash as Pikachu used electroweb on Houndoom after which Ash and Pikachu ran away with Celebi.
"Get those two for me," said the man as Houndoom started to chase Ash and Pikachu
As Ash and Pikachu are running Celebi slowly opened its eyes and saw itself with different humans. Thinking that it is kidnapped, it glowed white before disappearing into the thin air along with Ash and Pikachu. As Ash and Pikachu disappeared they saw themselves traveling through a portal. After traveling for a few minutes Ash and Pikachu landed hard on the beach and become unconscious. However, Celebi opened its eyes and flew in some other direction to seek shelter until it is completely healed.
Back in the Kanto region, the Celebi hunter is retreating back as he lost his target.
A few hours later Ash and Pikachu opened their eyes and found themselves in an unfamiliar place and saw a mysterious man and three pokemon that he knows are starting at the duo.
"Finally you two are awake. I thought you are dead." said the man
"Where are we, what Cyndaquil and Oshawott are doing here, and who is this pokemon. I never saw this pokemon" said Ash
"Ash this is a Rowlet, a starter from the Alola region," said Pikachu
"I remember now. Thanks for reminding me Pikachu. Are you okay by the way, " said Ash
"Yeah, I am fine. It seems we hit the floor hard, " said Pikachu
"Are you talking to this pokemon? How did you get this pokemon ?" asked the man
"Yes, actually I learned about pokemon psychology and I can interpret what they want to say. This is Pikachu, my partner and best friend" said Ash
"That's a spectacular skill you have and this will help you in surviving here," said the man as all of sudden the three pokemon ran away.
"What should I do," said the man in panic as he started to run here and there.
"Can we help you in getting them back," said Ash as he asked to assist the man.
"That would be grateful of you if you can help me. I am Professor Laventon, member of the Galaxy Team's Survey Corps, and I conducts research into pokémon's modes of life. My aim is to create a complete Pokédex" said the person now identified as Laventon.
"Here are the fifty pokeballs and I want you to capture those three pokemon. " said Laventon
"Are you coming with us" asked Ash and Pikachu
"You see, I am not good at throwing pokeball and capturing pokemon. " said Laventon as Ash assured him that he will bring the three starters back.
"But you have to make sure pokemon don't see you, or else it could be life threatening because pokemon are not that friendly here" said Laventon to which Ash nodded.
Soon Ash and Pikachu started to look for the pokemon. After searching for the pokemon, he found Cyndaquil behind the rocks taking a nap.
"Ok then go" said Ash as he throws first pokeball
and missed the target. Cyndaquil then stood on
four legs and launched flame thrower, Pikachu stopped it with weak thunderbolt and used thunderwave causing Cyndaquil unable to move. Ash then captured it successfully.
Ash then captured Oshawott and Rowlet as well .
"Thanks Pikachu. You helped me a lot in capturing these three pokemon. Ash first released them out so that he can talk to them.
"Sorry guys, I meant no harm to you. I just wanted to take you back to professor. Hope you can forgive me. And as a token of apology I want to give you these berries." said Ash as he give the three pokemon berries . The three pokemon hesitated at first place but liked the berry and nuzzled Ash.
"Now return back " said Ash but they denied.
"If you want you can travel on my shoulders. Rowlet travelled in Ash's bag and Cyndaquil in Ash's arms and Oshawott is riding Ash's head.
Soon Ash reached where Professor Laventon is waiting for him.
"Here are your pokemon Professor, these didn't liked to stay inside so I had to bring them here like this." said Ash
"You seems to be an experienced in handling pokemon" said Laventon
"Where are we" asked Ash
"It seems you are not from here young man. You are in Hisui," said the man that shocked Ash and Pikachu
"So this is the region from where our friend Zorua belongs to" said Pikachu
"It means, Celebi took us in the ancient Hisui as it was scared," said Ash slowly
"Where are you from " asked Laventon
"I am Ash, and I am from faraway land. I was travelling and a gyarados attacked us and we washed up here," said Ash
"We don't know how to get back and we don't have money as well" said Ash as he told lie. He can't told him that he is from future as it may lead to different consequences.
"Would you love to work with us. Me and the Galaxy Team are working on the first Pokedex, a goal that aligns with your own of seeking out all Pokemon so you can reunite with the being that sent you here" said Laventon
"We are in. We will help you" said Ash as he needs the help of pokemon to get out of here. Plus he doesn't know where is Celebi right now. Until he found a way to go home, he have to adapt to this new world, don't know what kind of pokemon are here and how violent are they.
"Come with me, I will take you to the Jubilife Village, which will be your home going forward," said Laventon
"Jubilife Village, it seems it is the ancient Jubilife City," said Pikachu to which Ash nodded
Thirty minutes later, Ash and Laventon reached the entrance of Jubilife Village.
"Hello Prof. Laventon, it seems you have new rescue. " said the guard
"No, I found him washed away on the beach. He is the most talented person I have ever met. He helped me a lot" said Laventon
"Have a nice day," said the guard as Laventon enters the village. But as soon as Ash enters, the local residents started to get inside, looking at Ash with fear
"What's with the locals here, why they are scared," asked Ash
"You see locals of this village don't know more about pokemon, having Pikachu with a human is a big thing. That's why I am working on a pokedex so that locals can understand more about pokemon," said Laventon
Laventon then asked Ash to meet him at the Wallflower, the only restaurant in the village.
"It seems we don't have a choice Pikachu, I think we should explore the town buddy," said Ash
"Umm do you know where Professor told us to go" asked Ash
"I know you have memory issues, but this is too much" said Pikachu
"Why don't we ask someone here," asked Ash to which pikachu nodded. Everyone in the town ignored Ash as they are afraid of Ash and Pikachu.
"Who are you?" asked another voice. When Ash turned he saw a girl that looked like Dawn standing behind him.
" I have never seen someone dressed like if you get attacked by the pokemon, you will be dead in no time" said the girl
"She must be Dawn's ancestors," thought Ash
"My name is Ash and this is my partner Pikachu. We are from a faraway land and washed up here." said Ash
"My name is Akari," said the girl
"But how do you enter this village? Do you have any ties with someone in this village ?" asked Akari
"I know Professor Laventon," said Ash
"He is a very intelligent scholar from a faraway land. Sometimes pokemon escape from his care and create a mess. But I think I should not speak about that" said Akari
"But why," asked Ash
"I was hit by a pokemon move called thundershock not long ago and I was on bed rest for one month," said Akari with sadness in her voice
"I assume people in ancient times are not immune to pokemon attacks," said Pikachu
"You are right," said Ash via aura bond
"Akari is right, I sometimes get too clumsy. But Ash agreed to help us with pokedex " said Prof. Laventon from behind.
"Don't say you are planning to appoint him in Survey Corps. We need approval from Captain Cyllene" said Akari
"I'll allow it. " said a female walking towards Ash, Akari, and Laventon.
"Captain Cyllene" said Akari
"What's with this timeline, this lady is looking like team galactic leader Cyrus" said Pikachu
"Pikachu, we are in ancient Sinnoh, so people here must be ancestors of people we met in the future," said Ash
"That's logical," said Pikachu
"I believe that anyone can contribute to the Survey Corps. I am Cyllene, captain of Galaxy team's survey corps. Our aim is to study mystical creatures of Hisui region" said the lady
"Professor Laventon told me how you helped him. But we can't take you directly in our team, we need to see what are your skills and expertise. Work your research work we will provide you food and shelter" said Cyllene. At the dinner table, Akari is asking Prof. Laventon how he found Ash.
"I found him near the beach. It seems he fell from the space-time rift" said Laventon
"What's your dream Ash," asked Laventon
"I want to be a pokemon master, I want to befriend and meet all kinds of pokemon in this world," said Ash
"You are brave Ash, no one can even dare to think about befriending pokemon. Pokemon are terrifying creatures, we don't know what destructive power these pokemon possess" said Laventon as this made Pikachu sad
"Sorry for that, I was saying this from my experience. But there are exceptions and your Pikachu is the one. I found it rather a friendly one" said Laventon
"This will be our home for the next few months until we found a way to get back to our time," said Ash as Pikachu made himself comfortable on the mattress.
"I wonder what was going on in our time Pikachu," said Ash
"I wonder that too. Hope Professor Oak and Mom are not worried" said Pikachu
The next day Ash and Pikachu woke up and got ready for their first trial. They reached Survey Corps headquarter where they met Akari. After the duo met with Captain Cyllene, they received a task to capture a Bidoof, Starly, and Shinx. After exiting headquarters, Ash met Professor Laventon.
"Just before you go out, I want to give you a starter. You can select anyone" said Laventon
"Pikachu what do you think, should we take one" asked Ash
"You can pick one if you like. But I am your starter already" said Pikachu
"Professor, I already have my partner pokemon. So I don't need anyone, but you can give these three to someone who doesn't have a pokemon already " said Ash pointing to Pikachu but Professor is insisting Ash pick one as a starter.
"If you want, I take Rowlet," said Ash as Rowlet flew up and landed on Ash's head. Professor Laventon then gave Ash twenty spare Ash and Akari reached Jubilife Village's front gate where they were stopped by a man named Volo.
"I heard you fell from the sky," said Volo
"Yes," said Ash
"Why don't we have a battle. I want to test your skills" said Volo
"Should I tell him that I recently defeated the five strongest trainers of Unova ?" asked Ash
"We are in past, I don't even sure if they know about Unova. Unova is a modern name" said Pikachu
"I accept," said Ash as Pikachu landed on the battlefield
"Not you Pikachu. I want to give our new friend some experience," said Ash as he sends his Rowlet and Volo sent his Togepi.
"Let's see what moves Rowlet can learn. He is a starter and he is an owl and his color depicts that it is a grass type as well. " thought Ash
"Togepi use tackle," said Volo
"Rowlet take flight in the air and use gust," said Ash as Rowlet flew but was unable to execute the move
"Rowlet look here, flap your wings like this," said Ash as Rowlet looked at Ash who is showing him how to execute the attack. Rowlet nodded and executed in the same way and released powerful wind that pushed Togepi back.
"Rowlet hit Togepi with your head," said Ash as Rowlet struck Togepi knocking it out.
"You did it Rowlet, nice job," said Ash as Rowlet landed on Ash's head. After Ash bids farewell to Volo, he and Akari reached Obsidian Fieldlands. Soon, Professor Laventon arrives with a sad expression.
"What happened professor," said Ash
"You see, the captain is still not sure if Ash could pass this trial. And we have the responsibility for his safety. If something bad happens, then we may face a penalty" said Laventon
"Don't worry Professor, I will be fine. With Pikachu on my side, I know we can handle this," said Ash in enthusiasm
"Alright, let's go," said Akari as they reached the first location where they spotted Bidoof.
"Pikachu use quick attack," said Ash as Pikachu disappeared like a blur and slammed into Bidoof knocking it out. Ash captured Bidoof. Quickly Ash captured Starly and Shinx as well which shocked Akari and Laventon.
"You did it, you caught the three pokemon like it was nothing for you. And your Pikachu is strong, I never saw such a strong Pikachu," said Laventon.
After that Ash, Akari, and Laventon head back to the headquarters and then reported to Cyllene. She was impressed and gave Ash permission to join the Survey Corps.
"These are your uniforms and from today onwards you will be wearing these. After changing you must report to commander Kamado on the third floor of Galaxy hall" said Cyllene. After Ash changed into his new attire, he is standing in front of commander Kamado.
"You must be Ash, I heard about your achievements," said Kamado
"It's an honor to meet you," said Ash
"At least you have some manners," said Kamado
"Now I am aware of your situation. Now tell what are you made of, " said Kamado
"What you mean," asked Ash
"Face me in a combat," said Kamado
"Okay " said Ash as he ran towards him and grabbed one arm before throwing him on the floor.
"I must say your combat skills are great. I am happy to have you in the team " said Kamado
"But don't expect warm welcome from anyone in this village. Some of them don't like strangers and it takes time before they get warm to you" said Kamado
"You are a part of village now. Dedicate your time to complete pokedex. " said Kamado
"Thanks a lot sir, " said Ash
