Ash is now back at Captain Cyllene's office.
"You will be starting out as a no star recruit. As you clear all trials and challenges, your ranking will be upgraded.To move up the ranks, you'll need to work on yourPokedex- the more Pokemon you catch, the higher your rank will be." said Cyllene
"I understand," said Ash
"But you have to create your own pokeball, so you need to learn how to craft pokeballs" said Cyllene
"You mean, there is no store from where I can but those," asked Ash
"Yes we have, you can buy pokeballs. But, it would be good if you learn how to craft the pokeballs" said Cyllene
"Akari, you are an expert at crafting pokeballs. Why don't you show him how to do that" said Cyllene
"Sure Captain Cyllene" said Akari. Soon Akari and Ash reached workshop where they can find all equipment to craft the pokeballs.
"Ash, didn't Professor Kurt told us before that pokeballs were crafted from apricorns" said
Pikachu
"I guess you are right" said Ash
Akari told Ash how to craft it and then Ash followed all the steps. After trials and errors Ash was able to craft its first pokeball.
"You did it, I am impressed Ash" said Professor Laventon
"Thanks, " said Ash
"My first pokeball that I created," said Ash
"Now it's time to give you most important thing" said Laventon as he handed Ash as physical journal with hundreds of pages.
"What's this," asked Ash
"This is the pokedex, you have to capture every pokemon and record the entry in this. You have to record height, weight, attacks, and whatever you observe." said Laventon
"Can't we just use our pokedex, it will be having all entries," said Pikachu
"I am not sure, there is no internet here and I am not sure if pokedex will work here. We have to do this in old way. " said Ash
"Sure, I will do it. I will start with my pikachu here" said Ash
"That's great," said Laventon.
Few hours later Ash return back with the pokedex entry on Pikachu and showed that to Laventon.
"Hmm it looks like you have given too much of info that we haven't heard of. You mentioned abilities which is quite new to us" said Laventon
"Yes, every pokemon have ability which gives them an edge in survival. For example, Pikachu has static and lightning rod. Static paralysis the opponent and lightning rod allow pokemon to divert electricity to itself" said Ash
"And you mentioned that Pikachu grows up and becomes Raichu. I must say you did wonderful job" said Laventon
As Ash, Akari and Laventon about to walk towards the Obsidian Fieldlands, but they are stopped by a guard named Beauregard.
"Hey, excuse me - I couldn't help but overhear...If you're going to the Fieldlands Camp, would you mind taking care of a request for me?"
"That depends, what is your request?" Ash asks.
"I'm staining guard, so I can't leave my post, but I'll be here at the headquarters if you want to talk about it." Beauregard says. "So there's this Pokemon called Wurmple. Have you heard of it?"
"I do have heard about it." Ash says.
"Well, you see, I was having a chat with Professor Laventon, and he told me that after a Pokemon gains a certain amount of experience through battling and the like, it will sometimes change its appearance and becomes stronger.
It was a phenomenon called Evolution. And so I decided I want to raise a Wurmple myself and have it evolve." Beauregard says. "You're part of the Survey Corps, aren't you? If you catch a Wurmple, could you let me have it? There'll be a reward in it for you, I promise. Just get me a Wurmple if you can."
"Sure, so he needs a Wurmple. That will be our first side quest..." Akari says.
"But for now, we have to go to Obsidian Fieldlands." Ash says as he walk out of the village along with Laventon and Akari.
"Righto. Let's get to it, then, shall we?" Laventon asks after arriving at the Fieldlands Camp. "In order to complete this Pokedex of ours, there are a great many research tasks I'll need your help to carry out. The details of these tasks can be found in the Pokedex for you to reference anytime. You must catch and battle diverse Pokemon species and carry out plenty of research tasks. Do so, and you'll gain research points and other rewards for your work!"
"One last piece of advice, Ash." Akari says in a serious tone. "If you see a wild Pokemon's attack coming your way...dodge like your life depends on it!"
"Wait, dodge?" Ash asks.
"Here - watch closely, and remember what I do so you can do it later." Akari takes a breath and starts to do some somersaults. "That beautiful, flowing bit of gymnastics is what we call a dodge! If you're light on your feet, you can dodge out of the way of wild Pokemon's attacks. That way, hopefully, you can avoid taking a beating and blacking out in the wilderness."
"Black out?" Ash asks.
"The Security Corps had to collect me when I got the business end of some Shinx's Thunder Shock. But don't you worry! I've got lots of experience to draw on, and I'll teach you plenty!"
"That will be nice." Ash nods.
"Now look into your Pokedex, you might've noticed that you have a research task to do with how many Bidoof you've caught. Catching one isn't enough, you need two, then four...then more and more!" Akari says.
"That sure is hard..." Ash sighs.
"And there is a task that is to catch Starly without being spotted, right?" Akari says. "Not to mention there are also some Pokemon like Buizel who is aggressive as they will attack you no matter if you're a Pokemon or human. One of the tasks is to see Pokemon using certain moves, to be precise, you have to see it use the move in battle."
"That sure is a lot to take in." Ash says. "But I'm sure I can do it."
Akari and Ash are in Obsidian Fieldlands to carry out their task.
"Ok Pikachu, we have to capture as many as Bidoof, Shinx and Starly we can find" said Ash
"Just make sure you don't get spotted," said Akari
Four hours later Ash caught multiple Bidoof, Shinx and Starly of both gender. Ash also captured few Buizel and a Wurmple.
"You did it, you caught six Bidoof, five Shinx and eight Starly." said Akari and Laventon.
"Go ahead and try to find as many pokemon as you want. Just try to make sure any new pokemon you catch are of different species. " said Laventon giving Ash fifty spare balls.
"Let's go Pikachu " said Ash as he ran towards deeper parts of the Obsidian Fieldlands.
"I am coming to" Akari says as she ran behind Ash. Akari and Ash are now are walking in Horseshoe Plains.
"Ash I think we should not be here" said Akari
"Why, " asked Ash
"Because of the alpha pokemon " said Akari
"Alpha pokemon," asked Ash
"Pika" said Pikachu
"Alpha pokemons are far stronger then normal pokemon. These pokemon are also bigger as compared to normal pokemon" said Akari
As they are exploring the place, Ash spotted a Rapidash.
"Look Pikachu, that Rapidash is so huge. Let's catch it so that we can take it back to our timeline. Prof. Oak will be shocked to see" said Ash
"I am going to get that Rapidash," said Ash
"Are you out of your mind. No one in Jubilife Village tried to capture the alpha" said Akari
"You stay here, I will be back" said Ash as he silently walked towards the Rapidash.
"Wow Pikachu, this Rapidash is so huge. " said Ash as he walked towards the Rapidash.
"Now use thunder full power" said Ash as Pikachu jumped in the air and launched full power thunder that hit Rapidash making it cry in pain.
"Who dare to hit me" said Rapidash as looked here and there.
"Pikachu use thunder once more time" said Ash as Pikachu released another stream of thunder that hit Rapidash but it didn't did too much damage.Eyes glowing red is making it more scared. Rapidash breaths deeply and used fire blast.
"Pikachu use protect" said Ash as Pikachu created energy dome and then saved itself. Pikachu then used double team and then surrounded Rapidash, being small in size Pikachu is more agile and making Rapidash confused. Pikachu jumped in the air and used full power iron tail on Rapidash's abodmen making it cry in pain. Pikachu then used thunder wave that paralyzed Rapidash.
"Pikachu get on top of the tree and use full power iron iron smash and add more speed with quick attack," said Ash as Pikachu did what Ash said and landed attack successfully causing Rapidash to fell on the ground.
"Now pokeball go" said Ash as he throw pokeball which captured Rapidash. Ash waited for few moments until Rapidash is captured successfully.
"We did it pikachu" said Ash as he went to pick pokeball.
"Rapidash come out," said Ash as he send his new friend out.
"Rapidash, are you okay. This medicine will heal you quickly. " said Ash as he applied potion in Rapidash.
"Now if you don't mind, can we become a good friend " said Ash as he extends its arm and Rapidash looked at Ash for few moments. Rapidash then lowered its head and touched Ash's hand.
"Nice to have you on team " said Ash
"Here take this" said Ash as he give him the berry which Rapidash took it happily.
"Rowlet come out " said Ash sending his grass type
"Rowlet meet our new friend Rapidash," said Ash. When Rowlet looked at Rapidash he was freaked out
"No need to freak out, he is our team member" said Ash as Rowlet got calmed a bit. Akari rushed towards Ash and says " What you did"
"What you mean" asked Ash
"You captured an alpha pokemon. And your Pikachu it defeated that so easily" said Akari as Rapidash leaned down.
"Rapidash meet Akari. She is my friend and your friend too" said Ash making it neigh happily
"Professor Laventon," said Ash as he is walking towards him and behind him is his newly caught Rapidash
"No way, how did you caught alpha pokemon" asked Laventon
"With the help of my friend" said Ash
"Rapidash why don't you enjoy in the field here, I will come here everyday and we will do some training. You can roam freely here" said Ash as Rapidash nodded and went towards the lake.
Ash and Akari then returned to the Jubilife village, and gave Wurmple to the security guard.
"Thanks for fulfilling my request" said the guard
as he gives Ash set of potions.
Back at the Jubilife Village Ash is in his quarter, where he is recording details. After working for few hours he is done with today's task where he recorded the entries in the journal.
"So you have recorded entries for Starly,Buizel, Bidoof and Shinx. And Rapidash is here as well. " said Laventon with smile
After reporting this to Cyllene, Ash recieved his first star which increase his ranking. Ash, Akari and Laventon are having dinner at the Wallflower.
"Ash, Akari told me that you battled Rapidash skillfully and captured it. If you don't mind can I ask you a question," asked Laventon
"Sure" said Ash
"How long you have been a pokemon owner and how many you have. I can sense you are not from here" asked Laventon
"I think we should tell them the truth," said pikachu
"Right," said Ash
"The thing is , I am not from this timeline. I am from future, " said Ash
"Furture" asked Akari
"Three thousand or two thousand in future from this era. A place where we have complete pokedex entries for each region. Hisui is Sinnoh region in future where humans and pokemon live happily together. I have one hundred more pokemon in my time. I somehow ended up here, " said Ash
"I can show you all my pokemon," said Ash as he showed them picture of him with all of his pokemon.
"That's spectacular, you managed to tame these pokemon give us confidence that you can help us in recording all pokemon details" said Laventon
"So how strong are you" asked Akari
"Actually in my timeline, I travelled five regions and did countless battles, and encountered countless of evil teams. So my journey was a roller coaster ride" said Ash
"I learned one thing, having a bond with pokemon is the key to get stronger. " said Ash which made Akari sad
"What happened, " asked Ash
"Well I am afraid of pokemon battle, " said Akari
"Don't worry, I will help you. I will help you overcome your fear of battling" said Ash
"How" asked Akari
"Tomorrow in the morning, meet me at Obsidian Fieldlands where I will be training." said Ash
Next day Ash and Akira are in Obsidian Fieldlands.
"So Akira, do you have any pokemon partner," asked Ash
"Actually I have, but it doesn't listen to me" said Akari
"Can I see your pokemon," asked Ash
"Sure" said Akari as she released her pokemon.
"You have a pikachu too, " asked Ash
"Is it good," asked Akari
"Yeah, you have an amazing pokemon. You see my first partner was Pikachu. And it was the same situation like you. " said Ash
"What you mean," asked Akari
"When I started my journey , Pikachu didn't listened to me. But ine incident changed everything. We were chased by flock of spearow and on that day I showed him how much I care about him. In order for your pikachu to have a friendly relationship, you must show him that you loved him and you can cross any limit to protect him. " said Ash
"A pokemon will only trust you when you show compassion to them. Let me tell you one more case of my Charizard " said Ash
"Charizard, what's that" asked Akari
"Charizard is a final stage of Charmandar who
is a fire type starter from Kanto region where I was born. So during my journey, I met an abandoned Charmandar. His trainer left him to die because he was not strong and I met him, he joined me and evolved into Charizard. But things changed when he evolved, he stops listening to me. But one day, during my journey I battled a trainer, and due to Charizard not listening to me, we lost and he is encased in ice block. And on that day I helped him get out of that block. " said Ash
"What happened then" asked Akari
"We became best friend and a powerful team" said Ash as Pikachu confirmed that
Akari looked at Pikachu, kneels down and says "Pikachu, I know I messed up the things at that time. But I want to make up for that time so can we become a team. Can we work together as a team".
Akari's Pikachu looked at her for a while and looked at Ash and his Pikachu.
"You should give her a chance. You should trust her one more time" said Ash's Pikachu
Akari's Pikachu looked at her owner and then gave happy chaa.
"That's great Pikachu, I promise that we will be a team" said Akari
"Shall we start our exhibition battle," asked Akari
"Rowlet you are up" said Ash as Rowlet landed in front of Ash
"Pikachu use thunder shock" said Akari
"Rowlet use gust " said Ash
Just before thunder shock could hit, Rowlet used gust which dispersed thunder shock.
"Now use leafage" said Ash as Rowlet sends swirling tornado of leafs.
"Pikachu use quick attack to dodge " said Akari
"Rowlet use leafage, all over the field" said Ash
Pikachu evaded the attack with quick attack and striked Rowlet with thunder shock that Rowlet evaded.
"Finish with leafage," said Ash
"Use thunder shock " said Akari
Leafage and thunder shock hit each other knocking out both pokemon.
"You did great Rowlet, take rest" said Ash recalling his pokemon.
Ash and Akari got information that commander Komado wanted to meet them so they head back to the headquarter. Before Ash and Akari can step inside, they saw two people arguing outside.
"Here we go again" Akari says
"You know these two" asked Ash
"These are Adaman and Irada. Leaders of diamond clan and pearl clan. Adaman is daring young man hates seeing time go to waste and likes to rush forward without worrying too much about particulars. This way of thinking puts him at odds with Irida, who leads the Pearl Clan, so the two are frequently seen fighting
Irada, she feels it is important to have the courage to face the vast Hisui region without quailing before it" Akari says
Ash and Akari arrived at Commander Komado's
office where they saw Adaman and Irada speaking to Komado.
"What should we do about Kleavor." said Komado
"Can I go and research Kleavor," asked Ash
"He is the new recruit, isn't it" asked Irada
"Sorry but we don't need your help" said Adaman
"I think we should give him a chance" said Komado
"Just don't mess anything else" said Irada
"Do you know, what Kleavor is" asked Irada
"No" said Ash
"Hopeless " thought Akari
"Kleavor is a noble pokemon, that have received a special blessing from almighty Sinnoh" said Irada
"Almighty Sinnoh, it seems Hisui region was renamed to Sinnoh in the future" said Pikachu
"That could be the possibility, " said Ash
"Almighty Sinnoh" asked Ash
"It seems you are not aware of myth of Hisui region. Listen carefully, " said Irada
"Not long ago, a power beyond universe created the Hisui region. And thus Diamond and Pearl clan formed. Pearl clan believe that Almighty Sinnoh is a ruler of space and we Diamond clan believe that Almighty Sinnoh is ruler of space" said Irada and Adaman
"Now I got it, they are not aware of existence of Arceus, Dialga, Palkia and Giratina. And they think all of them are single power" said Ash
"Should we tell them," asked Pikachu
"We can't and we don't know if they would believe us if we told them that we met the ruler of time,space and distortion world. Things will get messy" said Ash
"I think, we can get some clue on why Giratina was banished from this world and made it the ruler of Distortion world " said Pikachu
"Are you listening" asked Irada
"Yes, I started to think something" said Ash
"As people of Hisui have a respect for Noble Pokémon. However, these aren't simply calmed by a Pokémon battle but rather they require you to hit them with Balm made from their favourite food in addition to weakening them in a battle
When defeated in a battle, they're temporarily dazed allowing you to throw more balm at them." said Adaman
"Are you sure you want to take this task" said Irada
"If you did, you will be rewarded with new rank" said Adaman
"I am ready for this task" said Ash
"I suggest you not just to study Kleavor- but to quell it. Find Kleavor at Grandtree Arena in the heart of the Heartwood" said Irada
"In order to reach Grandtree, you have to go through, Deertrack Heights, Nature's Pantry
Tidewater Dam and The Heartwood " said Adaman
"Thanks, " said Ash
"Let's go Pikachu" said Ash as he ran outside to complete its task.
"Ash wait, I am coming too" said Akari
Ash and Akari are now arrived at Deertrack heights. Walking slowly in the tall grass Ash and Akari are ready with their pokeballs.
"That's geodude, Pikachu use iron tail" said Ash
as pikachu sneaked through the tall grass and used iron tail when reached Geodude knocking it out.
"Pokeball go" said Ash throwing pokeball that captured Geodude. Ash then captured Chimchar and Munchlax as well.
As soon as they start moving, a stantler ran towards them. It is not an ordinary Stantler, this is an alpha one.
"You want to battle, you will get battle." said Ash as he sends his Pikachu. With consecutive iron tail and final powerful thunder that paralyzed Stantler and weakened it.
"Pokeball go" said Ash as he tossed pokeball that captured Stantler but it break free and get more angry.
"One more time, use rock smash" said Ash as Pikachu successfully executed the attack causing Stantler to faint and this time it was caught successfully.Ash then sends Stantler and healed him. Giving him berries Ash says " Welcome to the team Stantler, hope we could be the best team "
"Sure" said Stantler
"Return for now , " Ash says recalling it back.
As the duo is walking through Nature's Pantry they saw a seven feet high Parasect with hos eyes glowing red.
"No way, is that an alpha Parasect" said Ash
"Yes, and don't say you are planning to capture it " said Akari
"Yes, " said Ash as he ran towards Parasect.
"Hey Parasect, over here" said Ash grabbing its attention. Parasect then saw Ash and sends energy ball that Ash dodged by jumping on right.Ash then send his Rapidash and battle was over when Rapidash used his fire blast attack.
"Pokeball go" said Ash sending pokeball at Parasect making a successful capture.
"Alright we got Alpha Parasect " said Ash
"Nice job Rapidash, here is your treat " said Ash giving rapidash his favourite berries.
"Return for now" said Ash recalling it back. Ash then sends Parasect and healed it.
"Hey Parasect, are you okay " said Ash
"Yes, " said Parasect
"Nice to have you on my team. My aim is to befriend all the alpha pokemon and work together with them to achieve greatness. So will you be my team member. I promise, I will treat you fair and we will stay like a family" said Ash
"You seems nice human, I am will be happy to join you " said Parasect
"Friends," asked Ash as he extends his arms and Parasect did same.
"This is my Pikachu, " said Ash
"Nice to have you on team. " said Pikachu
"Thanx" said Parasect
"Parasect from tomorrow, we will start training as we need to be agile and strong" said Ash to which Parasect nodded.
After reaching Heartwood Ash caught more pokemon like Wurmple, Psyduck, Combee, Silcoon, Cherubi and finally a Buneary. Continuing further,they found some primitive stairs.
"Stop it right there " said a young boy
"Ash isn't it Clay," asked Pikachu
"I am warden Lian, charged with taking care of Kleavor. Now tell me who you are," asked Lian
"I am Ash, member of survey corps and assigned with a task of calming down Kleavor. " said Ash
"Go away kid, you think calming down a frenzied pokemon, especially a noble one is an easy task" said Lian
"Kleavor was struck by lightning right before it became frenzied, and it's much too powerful to face. If you don't want to die, go away " said Lian
"I won't go back," said Ash
"Then it must be settled with a one on one battle," said Lian
"Sure" said Ash as Lian sends his Goomy and Ash sends his Pikachu again. He can't send his new pokemon without training.
"Goomy use acid spray" said Lian
"Pikachu use double team into quick attack and finish it using iron tail" said Ash
As Goomy launched the attack, Pikachu created its copies that confused Lian and Goomy.
"What move is this" asked Lian
"It seems they are not aware of this move" said Ash to himself
Pikachu then striked goomy with quick attack sending it skids back. Pikachu then used iron tail dealing good damage. Pikachu then picked Goomy in the air and used seismic toss knocking it out instantly .
"No way, how is that possible" asked Lian
"Me and my Pikachu were battling multiple trainers from past six years " said Ash
"It seems you are veteran trainer," said Lian
"Even if you defeated me, it's still too dangerous because you cannot get close enough to giveKleavorits usual offering" said Lian
"We must gather the food Kleavor likes" said Irada as she joined Ash and Akari
Ash is now back at the galaxy hall where he is discussing with Prof Laventon on how they can give offering to Kleavor.
After thinking a lot, Laventon says " we have to throw food just like we throw pokeball"
"And you think this will work Professor " asked Akari
"We have only option to try" said Laventon
"We can create our pokeball craftsmanship to create a food throwing object and it will be called tea time balls" said Laventon
"Isn't it a wierd name" asked Ash
"No isn't it," said Laventon
Once the tea time balls are ready, Laventon gave it to Ash. Laventon then says " Go and finish your task. "
"We will do it Professor " said Ash as they exit the hall.
As they are running they saw Mai standing near enterance of the village.
"What are you doing here" asked Akari
"Oh ! Yes, I came here because I have some news that you both might be interested in" said Mai
"First go back to the place you call it. The Heights Camp" said Mai
As the trio reached there they saw Adaman, leader of diamond clan is standing there.
"Hi Adaman, nice to see you" said Ash and Akari
"Nice to see you" said Adaman
"Is that Wyrdeer" asked Ash
"Correct, but we told Wyrdeer about you. Like how you are trying to calm the frenzied Kleavor. Wyrdeer found you worthy and you will be receiving the same flute that we have. " said Adaman as Mai showed Ash the flute they carry and displayed Ash how to play it.
"Now you play it" said Adaman
"Okay then" said Ash as he played the flute causing Wyrdeer to approach Ash and lowered itself which signals that Wyrdeer registered Ash as his rider.
"That's wonderful " said Mai as Wyrdeer gave a pink object.
"This is mind plate, type of the user change to psychic type" said Mai
"Now go, you have to calm down Kleavor" said Mai as Akari and Ash sat of Wyrdeer's back.
"Let's go buddy " said Ash as Wyrdeer released loud roar and then dashed towards the Grandtree area.
