A month and half has passed after finding out about the baby. For the time being, Heather isn't telling her family about anything. In Heather's opinion, they don't deserve to know. The only person she told was her grandmother.

Her grandmother, Sobo (grandmother in Japanese), was always a hothead. Everyone in the family feared her, despite only standing at 4'10. For some reason Heather was her favorite grandchild. She would say that she saw great things in Heather. Some say that Sobo sees a lot of herself in Heather. She was the one to stand up for Heather. Sobo was more of a parent to Heather than her actual parents. Sobo was the only person in the family that didn't care about sex before marriage. Which is pretty ironic because Sobo was a Japanese immigrant and spent a good part of her life living in a super conservative Japanese home.

During the last month, Alejandro convinced Heather to move in with him. At first Heather declined. Heather really didn't like when other people spend money on her. She liked having her own money to spoil herself with.. But as time went on, Heather realized that she had a better chance living with Alejandro than she did living with her parents. Besides, Alejandro's place was closer to her university and her job. Heather would be saving some money. Heather was pretty sure the main reason why Alejandro insisted was because he wanted to be close by if something were to happen to her or the baby.

The first few days after moving in, Heather was fearful that Alejandro would start getting pushy with her. But that didn't happen. If anything, Alejandro made sure that Heather had everything that she needed to feel comfortable living there. Heather decided that she would just sleep with Alejandro in his room, even though his place had 4 other bedrooms. Not that Alejandro was complaining. On most days, the two antagonists would either go to school or work then come home in the evening and relax together. But today is different.

Today Heather and Alejandro are going over to his parent's place for a small family get-together. Today was also the day they are going to tell his family about the pregnancy.

Right now Heather is trying to find something to wear that still fits. Her baby bump is starting to show. Normally this would be fine, but since Heather has always been skinny and fit, the bump looked odd to Heather.

"UGH!" Heather yells as she throws another shirt onto the pile of too-small clothes on the bed.

Alejandro could hear her from the bathroom as he steps out of the shower. He couldn't help but chuckle a little bit at his girlfriend's dilemma. Alejandro understood why she was frustrated but on the other hand he couldn't help but find her bump quite adorable.

Alejandro quickly gets dressed then walks to the bedroom to console his frustrated girlfriend.

"Having a problem, mi amor?" Alejandro asks while trying to hide his growing smirk.

Heather turns and glares at him, "Yeah, I am, idiota. Nothing fits me! The only thing that does is that sundress." Heather then points over to a simple white sundress. There wasn't anything wrong with the dress, but it was something that Heather usually didn't wear.

"And what is wrong with it? It looks like a lovely dress."

"It makes me look pregnant."

Alejandro looks at Heather in confusion,

"¿Qué? But Heather, you are pregnant."

"That's not what I meant!"

"Then what?"

Heather crosses her arms and looks down to the floor, "Like, it makes me look fat."

Alejandro sighs then walks over to her and brings her into his embrace, "Like I just said, you are pregnant. You are not fat. It's just our child growing. There is nothing to be ashamed about."

"Really?" Heather said in a small voice that made herself cringe. She hated looking weak like this.

Alejandro nods, "Really. If I am being honest, I find your bump extremely adorable." He smirked as Heather started blushing at his comment.

"W-Whatever. Leave me be so I can get ready."

By the time they got to Alejandro's parent's place, there was about 25-30 cars in the driveway.

"I thought that this is a small family get-together." Heather asks in shock as they got out of the car.

"This is small. There's only about 65 people here." Alejandro replies as if this was normal.

Heather eyes widen, "Just how big is your family?"

"This is only a fifth. Everyone here is close family."

"My god what did I get myself into?"

Alejandro just chuckles and leads Heather inside. Thankfully the place was a really big mansion so everyone wasn't packed together. Heather just stayed close to Alejandro for the time being.

Heather was horrible when it came to things like this. Growing up, her mother would force her to go to events like this. Heather would just stand there awkwardly, hoping to leave soon. At least she had Alejandro to distract her from the awkwardness she was feeling.

They finally find Alejandro's immediate family in family living room. Heather was surprise to see not only Alejandro's brothers, but also his father as well. Alejandro's mother, María, was the first one to see them and the first one to get up and greet them.

"There you two are!" María says as she hugs Alejandro, "We were wondering when you were going to show up."

"Traffic was holding us up." Alejandro quickly explains.

María nods then goes to hug Heather. Heather is still getting used to María hugging her so casually. A second pass before María quickly removes herself from Heather, holds her in place, and stares at Heather's stomach in shock. Heather blushed as María stared at her stomach.

"When was this?" María asks in excitement.

Heather blushed even more so Alejandro came in to answer for her, "We found out about a month and a half ago. We wanted to wait until we were in the clear to start telling people."

María happily hugs them again then says, "Congradulations you two. Come come. You still have to tell the others."

Alejandro and Heather walks over to where the rest of the family was and broke the news to them. Thankfully no one was upset by this. Everyone was thrilled for the two antagonists. Alejandro's father, Salvador, nodded and patted Alejandro on the back while both Jose and Carlos were teasing their younger brother with the fact that he did the devil's tango right in front of their mother. Carlos' wife Alicia and José's girlfriend Sheila were excited to be aunts. Both Alicia and María gave Heather some advice on what to except in the following months.

Overall, both Alejandro and especially Heather were relieved to know that at least his family was supportive of the pregnancy.
