Author Notes: I don't own Power Ranger since it is currently Hasbro. Also, I realized I won't always be consistent with my schedule for reasons (mostly laziness). So I promise, instead, at least two chapters per month. Sorry again.

Episode 3: Talks of Vengeance and Battle

Oof was the feelings they all share as Trim, Akira, and Jenny fall into the floor of their headquarter, a basement in an abandoned house. It was dusty and full of bugs and insects. The walls looked like they would crash onto themselves at any moment. It was clear nobody had been here for years. The quaking floorboard sound welcomes them back to well, not home, but more like living quarters. Dusting themselves off, Akira began looking for injuries, turning her arm into another mode called "First Aid Mode." Bandaging all the significant scratches as best as they could,

Akira quickly picks a broom, its handle half-broken, and brush loses a lot of stiff grass and begins cleaning the place.

"Hey, ki-I mean guys, I going to clean this off then make some snacks for you to enjoy. Just relax for now."

Crossing his arm in anger, Trim muttered swears about how they failed. Jenny decided to make conversation about their next step.

"What are we going to do now? Light escaped, which is a detriment to our plans since it can give any information about those artifacts and the bad guys since they won't know either. I guess the best course of action is to find it."

"Hardy har miss smarty pant," grumble Trim angrily: "How are we supposed to find it? Present Hills isn't that small, you know, and it was your fault for not trying to get it when we attacked their base."

Though quite annoyed, Jenny responded: "I did try Trim, but how could I get to it when a crazy woman was slashing a spear toward me!"

"It was clear she didn't have a strategy. Aren't you smarter than that?" Trim questioned

"I am just as angry as you are that I couldn't get the Light. Trust me, I do, and to tell you the truth, I wish you have found how to make your laser deadly instead of sleepy."

Unfortunately, that last comment made Trim more defensive and angry: "I know how to activate my deadly laser, but I just don't want to stoop to their level."

"It a load of bull-"

"Language, you can argue but no language!" shouted Akira, taking some cobwebs off the ceiling.

"Sorry, Akira, but Trim, you know you just want to payback for all the grief they have given us, I certainly do, and maybe I do want to kill them since it will stop them from destroying the world."

"Sure Jenny, I hate it here, in this dirty basement where we don't have the queen-size bedroom or have butlers or maids, where food isn't expansive or high delicacy and is very gross. Where it isn't at least five stories high and instead is a cramped basement, there are icky bugs everywhere-"
"You are kinda agreeing to my point, and you know that?"

"What I am ultimately trying to say is that we want to have justice and stop them, but killing them isn't necessary because destroying artifacts will stop our future from happening. It is a better way of saving the world; you want vengeance."

"You know full well I want retribution to the million lives they took, our family and friends. I mean, we understand it the better way, but my emotion toward this situation is haywire, but thank you for calming me back to the logical and more ethical solution."

Trim smiles, but it doesn't last long: "Your welcome, but you are now solely responsible for finding this light since you lost it."

"I didn't lose it, I just couldn't get to it, and it flew away."

Somewhat ok with their progress, Akira walked toward Jenny and Trim with beef jerky.

"Hey guy, here you-"

Then a blinding light flashes around the room, the three covering their eyes in response, though Trim's right robotic eye was able to see the source of this flash of Light.

"The light." thought Trim with confusion and happiness.

Just as it happened, the flash faded and the ball of blue light standing in front of them. In that moment of awe and confusion, Trim sprinted toward it. But just before he could catch it with his hand, it disappeared in a more little sprinkle of light.

"Where it goes?"

"Here I am." Turning to look, now the Light stands in the left corner. Trying again, Trim rushed to grab but stopped by Jenny, holding his hand and shaking her head. He wanted to retort, but seeing the serious look on her face and the importance of this, he backed off though not without hesitation.

"I see your friend. Now you stop trying to grab me. I can explain my appearance, so listen close and don't interrupt."

"I am merely an aftermath of the fabric of time, so I don't have power."

"But I do have the ability to see something in others and knowledge of past, present, future."

"I chose rangers from the past and present from your timeline, and you know how it went bad."

"The rangers lost, the villain's plan worked, but the magic was too much, so the world kaboom."

"But you are the last of this timeline that now reset. I sense greater potential in you, then."

"I had ever sensed the present ranger; they were too generous in second chances, fatal flaw."

"Though I must warn you, killing the leaders will cause the town to crumble, so you must not."

"So why I here am to gift you the artifact's location, but remember one more thing:"

"I have still chosen the past, and if you fail, you will die forever, and the world will reset again."

The Light then shot lasers at each of their brains before they could react, opening to a vision of a beautiful and serene park; laying on the grass there laid three colored rocks, one black, green, and pink. They stand out in the grass, even the green ones. Then an image of swirling darkness quickly crawled into the vision, bringing them back to reality. Trim was first to act.

"We need to go now." he said bluntly and raced to the entrance out of the basement.

"Thank you very much for the information Light." Jenny said as she followed Trim

"Wait for me, kids. I am so sorry for Trim's behavior, Light. Truly thank you so much." Akira, as she was desperately trying to catch up.

Watching them each pass by it, soon being alone, Light looks right at you. While it doesn't have eyes, it stares at the fourth wall.

"I know you're there, beings in another reality entirely. I know what will be unraveled."

"Will they fail or win? Can the second try succeed? There are two teams in this ranger story."

"I hope you enjoy seeing this journey, for it is only starting, and they meet me again."

"So will you, in fact, for the next chapter you will, as the other rangers of the past will."

"One more thing, I have a name, you know, not just the light or Light."

"But I like my secret kept, for now."

"Goodbye, beings."
