Shadow ran out alone onto the runway towards the helicopter when a device suddenly hit it sending an EMP through, disabling it. Sonic and Mighty in their super forms landed in front of him "Wow, it's so weird how you run into people at the airport. Don't you think that's weird?" "Definitely weird". Shadow didn't move "Hear me out, Sonic. That doctor, the wasp, he's behind all of this". Espio leaped over a truck and landed nearby "Shadow". Shadow nodded his head respectfully "Your Highness". Sonic walked around the back of Mighty "Anyway. Luger gave me 36 hours to bring you in. That was 24 hours ago. Can you help a brother out?" "You're after the wrong guy". His face dropped "Your judgement is askew. Your old war buddy killed innocent people yesterday" "And there are five more super soldiers just like him. I can't let the doctor find them first, Sonic. I can't". Rouge landed on his other side "Shadow, you know what's about to happen. Do you really wanna punch your way out of this one?". Shadow says nothing and Sonic sighs "Aright, I've run out of patience. T2!". Tails suddenly flew past Shadow grabbing his emerald and throwing cuffs that locked around Shadow's wrists. He then flew forward and landed facing the group.
Tails now had silver anklets attached to the back of his shoes. A device on the back of his neck projected a black hologram around his body keeping him from being recognised and they hid his tails when he wasn't using them. Sonic and the others were all wearing lenses so they could see Tails as normal without the hologram. Sonic nodded to him "Nice job, kid" "Thanks. Well, I could have stuck the landing a little better, it's just I'm not used to the extra boost". His eyes opened wide thinking he went too far "It's nothing, Mr Sonic. It's perfect. Thank you" "Yeah, we don't really need to start a conversation". Tails nodded and then saluted Shadow "Uh, Sir. Big fan. I'm Tails" "Yeah, we'll talk about it later" Sonic said. Tails waved "Hey, everyone". Mighty and Rouge both looked to Sonic. Shadow didn't look worried "You've been busy". Sonic angrily turned to him "And you've been a complete idiot. Dragging in Whisper. Rescuing Silver from a place he doesn't even want to leave, a safe place. I'm trying to keep…!". He sighed "I'm trying to keep you from tearing the Chaotix apart" "You did that when you signed". Sonic hides his pain at hearing that "Alright, we're done. You're gonna turn Maria over. You're gonna come with us, now, because it's us or a squad of J-SOC guys with no compunction about being impolite. Come on" Sonic pleads. Shadow hears Bark "We found it. Their Tornado's in hanger five, north runway".
Shadow raises his hands up, a cyan laser goes through his cuffs releasing him "Alright, Manic". A tiny Manic was on the Chaos Emerald. He grew and punched Tails and leaped back taking the emerald "I believe this is yours, Shadow" he gives it to him". Shadow uses it to go super. Sonic sighs "Oh, great" he scans the area "Alright, there' two on the parking deck. One of them is Silver, I'm gonna get him outta here". He started flying "Mighty, you wanna take Shads?" "I got two in the terminal. Bark and Kintobor". Espio ran that way "She's mine!". Shadow threw a spear a Mighty knocking him back. Tails looked lost "Hey, Mr Sonic, what should I do?" "What we discussed. Keep your distance, quick hits then fall back" "Okay, copy that". Shadow chased after Espio throwing a spear into his back knocking him over. Shadow threw him back and stood his ground. Espio rose back up "Move, Shadow. I won't ask a second time" they fought. Manic was standing in front of Rouge "Look, I really don't want to hurt you" "I wouldn't stress about it". She kicks him in the groin and grabs him arm. Manic shrinks and throws her to the ground. She takes out a small bomb which releases a small shockwave launching Mini-Manic away.
In the terminal Bark and Omega were running when they saw Tails flying outside the window "What the hell is that?" "Everyone's got a gimmick now". Tails crashes through the window and kicks Bark. Omega throws a punch but despite Tails being half her size he catches the fist with an amazed look "You have a robot suit? That's so cool". Bark flies back on his board and grabs Tails who tries to punch him "You have the right to remain silent!".
Sonic flies towards Silver and Whisper who were running across the runway. Shadow was fighting Espio. Shadow formed a shield, but Espio was able to break through it with his shuriken which surprised Shadow. Mighty ran towards them clenching his fists "Sorry, Shads, I'm not gonna kill you but I ain't gonna tickle you either". He charges forward about to punch the back of his head, but Shadow quickly makes another shield stopping him. Sonic gets in the way of Silver and Whisper "Silver, I think you hurt Blaze's feelings" "You locked me in my room" "Okay, first, that's an exaggeration. Second, I did it to protect you". He glanced at the masked Whisper "Hey" "Hey, man" "Clearly retirement doesn't suit you. You got tired of shooting golf". She shrugged "Well, I played 18, shot 18. Just can't seem to miss". She fires at Sonic who dodges "First time for everything" "Made you look". Suddenly multiple cyan glowing cars crashed out of the building towards Sonic. They hit him against the ground "Sir, multiple impacts detected" "Yeah, I got that, Nicole. Thanks".
Tails was flying after Bark, he stopped on a support when "Oh, Gaia!". An object came at him from behind, but he caught it with his tails "Hey, lady, I think you lost this!" he threw it back to Maria. Bark came back around and hit Tails off the support. Tails quickly flew up and kicked the back of the board causing it to crash near Maria. They both look up at Tails who stared at the board "Is that made of carbon fibre?" "Are you flying by your tails?" "That would explain the weight ratio, which I gotta say, that's awesome, man". Bark was irritated "I don't know if you've been in a fight before but there's usually not this much talking" "Alright, sorry. My bad". Tails flies down hitting both of them off and down into a lower floor. They land on their backs "Guys, look, I'd love to keep this up, but I've only got one job here today and I gotta impress Mr Sonic, so, I'm really sorry". Tails flew down but Barky appeared from nowhere and wrapped a rope around his right arm. It flew him outside and drops him. Omega rests her head back "You couldn't have done that earlier?". Bark sighed and shook his head "I hate you".
Shadow kicked Espio and Mighty back when Manic ran up to him "Hey, Shads, heads up!" he threw him a miniature truck. He then held up a blue disc "Throw it at this". They both throw and the disc hits the truck. It enlarges and heads straight for Mighty "Oh, come on!". The truck lands and explodes making Manic cringe "Oh, man, I thought that was a water truck. Uh, sorry". Manic climbs out of the wreckage "Alright, now I'm pissed". Sonic helped Rouge up "Is this part of the plan?" "Well, my plan was to go easy on them. You wanna switch it up?". Whisper and Silver join Shadow and Manic then Bark with Maria. They all run together as they sprint to the hanger when a stream of fire hits the ground in front of them making them stop. Blaze was hovering overhead "Shadow, I know you believe what you're doing is right. But for the greater good you must surrender now". She descended with Sonic and Rouge joining her along with the others. Bark eyed them "What do we do, Shads?". Shadow stared fearlessly at the other group "We fight".
