YŪJI
YŪJI-CHAN: You bought Junpei a drawing tablet worth over ¥200,000.
GOJO-SAN: It's not that expensive!
YŪJI-CHAN: Gojo-san, I barely make ¥200,000 a year after taking out bills, debt, and food payments. I said the Wacom Cintiq 16" Drawing Tablet with the screen!
GOJO-SAN: Whoops! Guess it was a mis-click! :P
"That isn't a mis-click!" Yūji exclaims loudly, glaring down at her phone. A small growl leaves her mouth and she shoves her phone in her backpack before she trudges off the crowded school campus. She needs to study, and Satoru was not helping with easing her stress.
"A-ah... Itadori-san?" A nervous voice speaks up, making Yūji groan loudly.
"What now? I need to study!" Yūji bursts out in frustration, whirling around with a glare. She blinks in surprise when she sees an older man with black hair, black eyes, and fair skin dressed in a nice suit nervously fidget next to an expensive looking car.
Yūji flushes a deep red and she nervously tugs at a few loose strands of her hair, smiling awkwardly. "Oh–I'm sorry, sir. I-I'm a bit stressed... is there something you needed?"
"Oh! Um–Nanami-san ask me to retrieve you. My name is Ijichi Kiyotaka," The man says with a bow. Yūji sighs heavily and rubs her temples.
"Does it have to be today? I need to study," The pink haired female asks with a tight smile. Kiyotaka smiles nervously and opens the door to the backseat.
"Nobara-sama and Megumi-sama have been asking for you," Kiyotaka informs, making Yūji perk up.
"They have?" Yūji smiles before sighing in defeat.
"It'll look like I'm some hooker if Gojo-san keeps doing this unannounced," Yūji says mostly to herself as she walks towards the car.
Kiyotaka laughs nervously. "Gojo-sama tends to have a lot of fun with messing around."
Yūji playfully rolls her eyes as she gets into the car. Kiyotaka quickly shuts the door behind her before rushing towards the driver's side. The pink haired female takes out her phone and types another message to Satoru.
YŪJI-CHAN: Can you please warn me before you send someone to retrieve me? Also, can not call it retrieving? It sounds like you're kidnapping me.
GOJO-SAN: :( But it is a kidnapping... and sorry! I forgot :P
"How have Megumi-kun and Nobara-chan been? I didn't realize they would want to see me again..." Yūji asks brightly, putting on her seatbelt. Kiyotaka smiles at Yūji through the rearview mirror.
"They've been asking for you, non-stop. It's gotten to the point that Gojo-sama's other kids are curious about you as well." He starts driving. "They are all incredibly excited to meet you. I saw Nobara-sama wear her favorite dress earlier this morning. She only wears that for Gojo-sama and her big sister."
"How many kids does Gojo-san have?" Yūji asks curiously, interest piqued. He looked really young. Only around his mid-twenties, maybe even early-thirties.
"Six, but five are in his custody. Nobara-sama and Megumi-sama are his youngest," Kiyotaka answers kindly. Yūji hums with a small head tilt.
Kiyotaka laughs nervously and focuses back on the road. "Gojo-sama can never really stay in any... relationship. Either his partner harms his children, they betray him, or he becomes bored. He loves his children and makes sure to provide the love and care they need. Even his daughter that he wasn't able to have custody over."
"He's a very caring father," Yūji states with a soft smile. From the very little she saw when he came to her home... he truly was.
"Miss Yūji, welcome to the Gojo Estate." Yūji stares up at the large manor, completely shocked as she slowly gets out of the car. "I am Young Master Satoru's butler, Imai Toshihide. A pleasure to meet you."
Yūji smiles nervously and gives a small bow. "N-nice to meet you, Imai-san..."
"Right this way, Miss Yūji. The children are expecting you. Young Master Satoru is in a meeting currently and won't be appearing for another two hours," Toshihide says calmly, closing the car door behind Yūji. Yūji moves some of her hair behind her ear and follows after the middle-aged man. She glances down at her outfit and can't help but mess with her hoodie
She at least looked better than she did when she met Satoru at the restaurant. Yūji wore her hoodie again, a long sleeved crop top underneath. She still wore her patched up jeans, but wore a pair of somewhat new shoes today. Her hair was pulled into a messy bun, mostly because she planned on studying after her classes ended.
"Imai-san," A young maid greets when Toshihide opens the front doors. She pauses when she sees Yūji, her mouth curling slightly.
"Who is this?" She asks curiously, her frown deepening as she inspects Yūji's attire.
"This is Miss Itadori Yūji. Young Master Satoru has invited her to visit. Miss Yūji, this is one of the housekeeping maids, Chu Jeong-ja," Toshihide introduces the two. Yūji smiles brightly and gives a small polite bow.
"Nice to meet you, Chu-san!" Yūji exclaims genuinely. Jeong-ja blinks in surprise, staring at the pink haired female for a long moment. She turns around and continues cleaning as if nothing happened.
"Miss Yūji, your shoes will go here." Toshihide waves a hand towards a small cabinet filled with uwabaki. Yūji quickly takes off her shoes without another word, revealing her mismatched socks. She pulls on a pair of uwabaki, not mentioning how they were a size too big.
Toshihide's mouth twitches in satisfaction and he nods his head. "I will take your hoodie, if you don't mind. The children are waiting through that door."
"Oh, of course!" Yūji says with a bright smile. She pulls off her hoodie and hands it to the butler without hesitation. She glances at the silent maid before focusing on the door Toshihide had pointed towards.
"If there's a next time, maybe I should bring some treats for the kids..." Yūji thinks offhandedly, walking towards the door. She gently opens it up and smiles brightly when she immediately spots Nobara and Megumi sitting on one of the lavish couches in the room, surrounded by three older children.
Nobara wore a beautiful 1950's vintage peach pink dress with a flared skirt and a white sash tied in a bow in the back, white stockings, peach pink Mary Jane shoes, and had her dark hair styled in two space buns with white ribbons.
"Nobara-chan! You look so pretty!" Yūji makes her presence known with a compliment. Nobara turns her head and grins brightly when she sees the 17 year old.
"Yū-chan!" Nobara shouts in pure joy. She jumps off the couch and runs towards Yūji. Yūji laughs brightly and crouches down to hug the girl. Megumi slides off the couch and walks over, ears flushed pink and eyes downcast.
He wore a simple pair of black pants and a black shirt with a cute puppy printed on it. His hair was still in its crazy mess and he still had a bandage over his forehead from the kidnapping almost two weeks ago.
"Megumi-kun! How are you?" Yūji pulls him into the hug as well, making him blush even more.
"Yū-chan! Yū-chan! Do you really think I'm pretty? It's my favorite dress! Onēchan picked it out for me!" Nobara tugs at Yūji's arm with a bright smile. Yūji laughs lightly and nods her head, patting the six year old's head.
"Of course! I heard from Ijichi-san that you only ever wear it for your Onēchan and for your father. I'm happy that you'll wear it for me too," Yūji states brightly, making Nobara smile even bigger. She blinks before breaking the hug. Yūji lets the young girl drag her over to the other kids. Megumi quickly grabs her free hand and gets dragged along as well.
"Onēchan, Onīchan, Aniki! This is Yū-chan! She's the nice lady who saved me and Gumi-nī!" Nobara looks up at the pink haired female with a glittering smile. "Yū-chan! Yū-chan! These are my big siblings!"
Yūji looks up and smiles brightly at the other children. She gives a small bow, still holding onto Nobara's hand.
"Hello! It's nice to meet you all! My name is Itadori Yūji, but you can call me Yū-chan if you'd like," Yūji introduces herself with a bright smile.
"Gojo Maki. If you hurt Bara-chan or Gumi-chan, you better hope Tōsan gives you a quick death," The only other girl states bluntly with her arms crossed. She looked to be around eight years old and had long, dark green hair pulled into a ponytail, sharp hazel eyes covered by a pair of glasses, and fair skin. She wore a pair of black jeans and a red shirt with a black skull print.
"Onēchan! You'll scare Yū-chan away!" Nobara whines, protectively hugging Yūji's leg. Yūji giggles and nods her head.
"I'm sure he wouldn't." Yūji places a hand on top of Nobara's head. "I would never harm a child. Don't worry, Maki-chan."
"Y-Yūta... th-this is Toge..." A 10 year old boy with black hair, tired black eyes, and pale skin speaks up shyly. He was tightly holding hands with the other boy, a nine year old with off-white hair, violet eyes, and pale skin. Yūji smiles and nods her head in greeting.
"Nice to meet you, Yūta-kun, Toge-kun, Maki-chan!" Yūji looks down when Megumi quietly tugs at her hand.
Megumi was looking down at his feet with a bright red face. "...are you gonna play with us?"
"Well, I didn't come for any other reason. You wanted to see me, so I'm here!" Yūji says softly, making Nobara brighten up even more.
"Really?! Daddy brought you here to play with us?" Nobara asks with starry eyes. Yūji laughs and nods her head, patting the young girl's head.
"Mmhmm! Ijichi-san said you were asking for me! Now, what do you want to play?"
MAKI
Yūji was not like any woman Maki has ever met that Tōsan has allowed into his home. All the women who won the favor of Tōsan were greedy, selfish, and completely horrid. They never treated the servants right, some had the gall to insult Maki's siblings, and the rare one or two actually physically harmed her siblings too. Tōsan always found out before any harm could happen twice and the awful women were never seen again. Good riddance.
Yūji though... she was nice. Really nice. She never even mentioned Tōsan once unless someone else mentioned him and she never asked anything about Tōsan or his money. She only talked about things to get to know the Gojo siblings and just played with them the whole day. She genuinely had fun playing with them all. She even talked with Toge through sign and listened to what he was saying. It was strange. Yūji was strange. It made Maki suspicious.
Unfortunately, she couldn't try and see if Yūji was more than what meets the eye, because if she had any intention to harm her or her siblings or had any suspicious background, Tōsan would never let her anywhere near them. Yet here she was, playing with Tōsan's children with no guards, no supervision except for the cameras, and no suspicious intentions.
"You're weird." Yūji looks up from the cookie dough she was stirring and stares at Maki for a few moments. She smiles softly and continues to stir.
"Well, being normal's a bit boring, don't you think?" Yūji asks, making Maki frown. Nobara squeals loudly, making both females glance at her. She was throwing flour at Megumi, who was throwing water at her. Toge was silently cheering with a makeshift flag and Yūta was attempting to stop the two kids from making a big mess.
"You're nice. Too nice," Maki states with a narrowed glare. Yūji laughs softly and places the whisk on the counter.
"There's a difference between being kind and being nice, Maki-chan. I think you know this difference well." The pink haired female starts shaping the cookie dough into small balls and places them on the tray. "You remind me of one of my little brothers. Protective and hotheaded."
"I'm not hotheaded!" Maki immediately denies with a scowl and red ears. Yūji giggles, smiling down at the eight year old with a soft gaze.
"You're too cute, Maki-chan! Sorry, sorry," Yūji apologizes as she focuses back on placing the cookie dough on the tray.
Maki stays quiet, balling her fists around her shirt. "You haven't even asked about Tōsan. Every woman he brings home asks about him. They're all awful."
Yūji pauses and glances up at the young girl. She blinks in realization and smiles kindly at Maki.
"I didn't need to ask about him. Imai-san told me he was in a meeting and that I was brought here because Nobara-chan and Megumi-kun wanted to see me again. Did you ever ask about how I met your little siblings?" Yūji points out, grabbing the tray. Maki frowns and huffs, crossing her arms.
"I didn't need to. Bara-chan already told me what I needed to know," Maki states the obvious before blinking in realization. Yūji hums as she turns around, opening the oven. She places the tray inside and turns on the timer as she closes the door.
"You're really weird." Yūji laughs quietly at the statement and turns back around. She shrugs and holds out the bowl with the remaining cookie dough inside.
"Would you like the rest?"
Maki stares at the bowl with a hard expression before looking up at Yūji. She stays still, eyes narrowing.
Yūji was weird, that's something Maki knew for sure. But maybe it was because she was kind. Kindness was something that even Tōsan could almost lost to this cruel world. Yūji seems to never run out of it.
Maki sighs heavily and grabs the bowl from the kind lady. With a flush growing on her cheeks, Maki eats the cookie dough while averting her gaze.
"I want Tōsan to keep her," Maki thinks, her blush becoming even more obvious. "Bara-chan was right... she's better than Kāchan."
