THAW: Glad you enjoyed it. Another case of self-fulfilling prophecy I say. Like Anakin Skywalker, their attempts to prevent what they fear is what ends up causing it.

Jane led the group back into the TARDIS dining room, the now familiar sight of the table filled with food greeting.

"Well that was…something," Martha said as they all took a seat, beginning to fill their plates.

"A real Christmas Special," Jack agreed as he began filling his plate.

"Like a said, these sets include one of those at least once," Jane explained.

"So since the previous set was about Amy and Rory's wedding, is the next set about their honeymoon?" Wilf asked curiously.

"No, just that one. Dad took them all over the universe at honeymoon spots, even saw Sarah-Jane one last time," Jane said, the mood plummeting at this new information.

"I think I remember that. Didn't a rogue cell of Shansheeth spread a rumor that The Doctor was dead?" Martha remembered hearing about it from some old UNIT contacts.

"Yeah, it was part of a plan to get control of the TARDIS. It went about as well as you'd expect," Jane said with a slight smile. "He had to work with Sarah-Jane and another former Companion of his to stop them."

"Couldn't have been very long before…" Mickey trailed off, the mood plummeting once more.

"No, a few months at best. Dad didn't find out about it until he took a break from traveling for a bit," Jane explained, knowing it would be too complicated to explain why. "He paid a visit to her grave as soon as he heard. And if he happened to be on earth, he'd lay a flower on her grave on her birthday every year until he died."

"Sounds like him alright," Jack noted and the room was silent.

"You said this next set was going to be pretty brutal," Donna pointed out and Jane grimaced.

"It's probably the most brutal set out of the three," Jane said, thinking of Lake Silenco, Demon's Run and Appalachia, just to name a few. "They really went through the ringer in this set."

"Lovely," Martha muttered, none of them looking forward to it.

"I know it's hard, but I need your help to save my Dad and the universe. So are you guys with me or not?" Jane asked as she looked at them all point blank in the eye.

"You know we are," Jack said, meeting Jane's gaze evenly.

"If nothing else, we owe The Doctor after everything he's done for us," Donna added.

"We're with you Jane, we are," Martha said and Jane nodded, seemingly satisfied.

"Good. Then eat up, but maybe not so much. Because these next few recordings are particularly brutal," Jane warned them.

"Brilliant," Mickey muttered.

But they still filled their plates. It was silent as they began to eat, wondering what new horrors they would see in these records, what new ordeal their friend would endure. Only one thing was certain: it was not going to be easy for them to see.

Not a very exciting chapter I know, but not all the break chapters are going to be huge dumps of information. Hope you guys enjoyed it anyway.
