Adrianwolf4: The Guardians will slowly gain more members but the main ones will be Yuya, Jonouchi, Asuka, Rio and Rua.

Now, let's get on to the chapter.

Chapter 05: The Angel of Dreams

Underground Duel Field

The prisoners of the underground were cheering for Asuka as she managed to reduce Warden Takasu's Life Points significantly with her combo.

"Alright, Asuka is on a roll!" Yuya smiled.

"She has definitely showcased her mastery of the Ritual Summon." Jonouchi nodded.

"Ritual Summon is rarely used anymore but they're potential rivals all the Extra Deck summonings." Rio observed.

"The Cyber Angels are so cool!" Rua cheered.

Asuka kept her focus on Warden Takasu, she had no intention of letting her guard down. "I have the lead now, but I can't get overconfident." Asuka thought.

Takasu glared at Asuka full of hatred. "I can't believe she is making a mockery of me." Takasu pulled some of his nose hairs out angrily and blew them away.

"Well then. You better start taking this Duel seriously." Gallagher smiled.

"Once I'm done with this punk, I'm coming after you. I don't care if you are on good terms with the Director." Takasu spat at Gallagher. "Let's continue the Duel!"

Asuka LP: 3700, Hand: 1
Field: Cyber Angel Benten (ATK: 3300, LV: 6). Equip Magic: Ritual Weapon. Continuous Trap: Spirit Barrier.

Takasu LP: 1400, Hand: 3
Field: Chain Repairer (ATK: 1600, LV: 4). Continuous Trap: Soul Anchor.

"My turn!" Takasu declared. "But before I draw, I activate my Continuous Trap: Burning Chain! If I draw a Chain monster during my Draw Phase, not only will I be allowed to Special Summon it, I'll be able to inflict 300 points of damage to the opponent! Draw!" Takasu drew his card.

"Heh, I drew Chain Snake (ATK: 800, LV: 3), so I Special Summon it, and you take 300 points of damage!" Takasu special summoned the snake again and Asuka was electrocuted.

Asuka LP: 3700→3400

"Next, I activate Chain Repairer's effect! Once per turn, I can Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Chain monster from my Graveyard! Revive, Chain Snake!" The first Chain Snake from before reappeared.

"Your monster is only strong because of that Equip Magic! This will get rid of it! I activate the Quick-Play Magic: Cyclone! I destroy Ritual Weapon!" Benten lost her weapon and her Attack and Defense Points were reduced.

Cyber Angel Benten (ATK: 3300→1800/DEF: 3000→1500)

"Now I activate Chain Snake's effect! Your Cyber Angel Benten loses 800 Attack Points!" The snake crushed the angel.

Cyber Angel Benten (ATK: 1800→1000)

"Benten!" Asuka got worried.

"Don't forget, I haven't performed a Normal Summon! I summon Chain Shooter (ATK: 1100, LV: 2)!" A monster with a large gun appeared.

"Battle! Chain Shooter, attack Cyber Angel Benten!" Chain Shooter fired a blast at the weakened angel and destroyed her.

"Because I still had a monster during the Damage Step, Spirit Barrier prevents me from taking damage!" Asuka pointed out.

"Now, Chain Snake! Direct Attack!" Chain Snake charged and hit Asuka hard and she was shocked once more.

Asuka LP: 3400→2600

"My assault doesn't end here! I activate Chain Shooter's effect! By releasing a Chain Monster on my field, I can inflict 800 points of damage! Take this, Trash!" The snake disappeared and went into the Shooter's gun and it fired and it hit Asuka, causing her to be shocked once more.

Asuka LP: 2600→1800

"Asuka!" The Guardians shouted in worry.

Asuka fell to her knee and panted. Every time the electricity coursed in her body, her insides inflamed and she felt her mind starting to deteriorate.

"Because I use Chain Repairer's effect, he cannot attack this turn. I set one card and end my turn!" Takasu smiled at what he had done.

Neo Domino Prison – Interrogation Room

Yuzu and Gongenzaka were sitting next to each other as Ushio and Mikage stared them down.

"Alright, we can do this the easy way or the hard way. If you cooperate, we can most likely reduce you and your friends' sentences." Ushio spoke to both Yuzu and Gongenzaka.

"But we didn't do anything!" Yuzu protested.

"You indiscriminately apprehended us without giving us a chance to defend ourselves!" Gongenzaka argued.

"Technically you did get a chance to defend yourselves by Dueling us. If you had won, we would've let you go with a warning." Mikage pointed out.

"I doubt that." Yuzu glared at Mikage.

"We would. Unlike most of Security, we have the honor of a Duelist." Ushio admitted. "But this is about your charges, it's about your affiliation with Primary Target #1." Ushio opened a vanilla folder and held up a picture of Yuya, which made Yuzu and Gongenzaka's eyes widen.

"Judging from that expression, you know the suspect." Mikage noticed their expression. "Where is he?"

"Th-That could be anyone…" Yuzu stuttered. "I mean, there are other girls with my face, it couldn't be the same guy."

"His name is Yuya Sakaki, and we know you're in league with him." Mikage revealed Yuzu's Duel Disk. "You have one new message from Yuya Sakaki."

"Hey, it's me. Just want to let you know I've made a good impression on Security. Try to lay low for a while before finding allies. Security is everywhere, be careful." Yuya's voicemail was played.

"Finding allies. What are you all planning?" Yuzu and Gongenzaka weren't sure how to answer. I mean how do you explain that you're from a different dimension without making it sound like you're crazy. "Are you planning to invade our dimension?" Ushio asked, surprising Yuzu and Gongenzaka.

"Dimension?" Mikage asked.

"First this Yuya Sakaki shows up out of nowhere and performs an unknown summon, Pendulum." Ushio answered. "And then these guys appear giving off the same energy readings as the primary suspect and use not only Pendulum, but Fusion and Xyz!"

"And one of your friends, Sawatari, talked about your group, the Lancers, warriors from different dimensions to crush the enemy! You guys were serious about defeating us, utterly and brutally! Coincidence? I think not!" Ushio slammed his hands on the table hard, making Gongenzaka flinch and scaring Yuzu.

Mikage saw their reactions and sighed. "Ushio, no offense, but it sounds ridiculous, honestly. I mean, other dimensions?" Ushio looked at Mikage and realized what she was doing.

"Yeah, you're right…sorry about that. This jobs really stressful and well, the good cop, bad cop routine is a good stress reliever." Ushio leaned back in his chair.

Mikage pressed a button on the table and the door opened to reveal a male and female officer. "Take them back to the courtyard." Mikage ordered.

"Yes ma'am!" The two officers took Yuzu and Gongenzaka out of the room.

"I'll keep extra surveillance on them. You go and report everything to the Director." Mikage said.

"Understood." Ushio stood up.

Neo Domino Prison – Courtyard

Yuzu and Gongenzaka were pushed into the courtyard by the officers escorting them. "Enjoy the rest of your free time. Lock up is in 30 minutes."

"Hey, are you both okay?" Ruri came up to them along with Rin, Serena, Sawatari and Dennis.

"A little shaken, but I'm okay." Gongenzaka admitted.

"What did they want?" Dennis asked.

"They wanted us to tell them where Yuya is." Yuzu answered. "He left a voice message on my Duel Disk and now they're looking for him."

"This is your fault, Sawatari!" Gongenzaka shouted.

"Why are you blaming me?!" Sawatari argued.

"They almost thought we came from another dimension and we're here to invade them!" Gongenzaka argued.

"Hey, I'm just doing the mission!" Sawatari argued. "If we're supposed to find allies, we have to tell them the truth! If you want to blame someone, blame Reiji Akaba for his bad naming sense and Kurosaki for being the douchebag he is!"

"Don't you mock my brother!" Ruri got mad.

"It's his fault he couldn't cooperate with Dennis, if he had, we wouldn't have been rotting in here!" Sawatari shouted.

"He does have a point, surprisingly." Serena uttered.

"Of course, you would defend him." Ruri glared at her.

"Hey, all I'm saying is that your brother needs to stop being a moron." Serena stated.

"You're the moron!" Ruri pushed Serena, surprising everyone. "You're the main reason we got arrested! You Fusion users always create problems!"

"I'll give you a problem!" Serena tackled Ruri to the ground. They both started rolling around, pulling each other's hair.

"Knock it off you two!" Gongenzaka shouted. "We're supposed to be allies!"

"Oh, please! You're the weakest of the Lancers! With your stupid Steadfast Dueling and Pure Monster Deck, you couldn't even defeat your Rare Hunter!" Sawatari pointed out.

"You bastard!" Gongenzaka charged at Sawatari, moved out of the way and made Gongenzaka hit the wired fence.

"Hey, there's a fight going on!"

"Fight! Fight! Fight!"

Other prisoners gathered around to watch the Lancers fighting each other. Yuzu tried to break up Serena and Ruri but she was dragged into their fight while Dennis was caught in the middle of Gongenzaka's and Sawatari's bullfighting. "Ole!" Sawatari said as he dodged Gongenzaka's charge and Gongenzaka hit Dennis.

"Guys, stop!" Rin protested, but her friends kept fighting. "Stop! We're family!" They kept ignoring her. "I SAID STOP!" Rin cried loudly with tears in her eyes.

"Spread your jet-black wings, and storm forth in tandem with the roaring thunder! A slash of lightning! Synchro Summon! Cascade, Assault Black Feather - Raikiri the Sudden Shower!" A winged-beast monster with a sword swooped down on the Lancers and separated them.

"Show's over! Get out of here!" Everyone turned to see Crow with a Security Duel Disk that he beat up a guard for.

"Crap, that's the Black Feather Duelist, Crow Hogan!"

"Let's get away!"

The prisoners all dispersed. Crow approached the Lancers and crossed his arms. "What is wrong with you people?! Are your bonds that weak? Look!" Crow pointed at the crying Rin. "You're fighting made your friend cry!"

The Lancers all immediately felt guilty and looked down with shame. "It's important to stay together, especially in a place like this." Crow said before walking away towards Rin.

"Hey, it's okay." Crow wiped Rin's tears. "Your big brother took care of it."

"Big Brother…you're my brother?" Rin asked.

"I don't blame you for not remembering." Crow said.

"Dinner Time!" A guard announced and all the prisoners went to the cafeteria.

"I'll tell you when we get some grub. Food always cheers me up when I'm upset." Crow stated.

Underground Duel Field

Takasu LP: 1400, Hand: 0
Field: Chain Repairer (ATK: 1600, LV: 4), Chain Shooter (ATK: 1100, LV: 2), Continuous Trap: Soul Anchor, Continuous Trap: Burning Chain, 1 set card.

"Appears as though your will to fight's already gone." Takasu smiled at the weakened Asuka. "You can go ahead and admit your defeat now."

Asuka got back on her feet and glared at Takasu. "Not a chance…I won't lose…to a pathetic fat bastard."

"I'm not fat! I'm big boned!" Takasu growled. "If that's how it is, let me give you what you want and send you to hell!"

"My turn! Draw!" Asuka drew her card. "I activate the Ritual Magic: Machine Angel Absolute Ritual!"

"You can't activate a Ritual Magic?! You only have one card in your hand and no monsters on the field!" Takasu took note of the previous Ritual Summon.

"Machine Angel Absolute Ritual has two methods to Ritual Summon! The first is the usual, by releasing monsters on my field or hand. But I'm using the second one, I can shuffle Cyber monsters from my Graveyard into my deck whose total Levels equal the Level of the Ritual Monster I will Ritual Summon!" Asuka revealed.

"From the Graveyard?!" Takasu gasped.

"From my Graveyard, I return Cyber Angel Benten and Cyber Petit Angel to my deck!" Asuka grabbed the two cards and put them in her deck and it shuffled.

An altar appeared and a yellow flame ignited and shot into the sky. "Angel of light hiding a warrior's strength! Appear before us and with your beauty and grace! Ritual Summon! Descend! Level 8! Cyber Angel – Dakini (ATK: 2700, LV: 8)!" Appearing was a woman with blue skin and four arms, two with swords and one with a rod.

"Another Ritual Monster…" Takasu gritted his teeth.

"When Dakini is Special Summoned, my opponent has to select one monster they control and destroy it! Now which one will you destroy?" Asuka asked.

"Isn't it obvious?" Takasu growled as Chain Shooter was destroyed.

"Battle! Dakini, attack Chain Repairer!" Dakini charged and swung her swords and hit Repairman. "Due to Soul Anchor, Repairer isn't destroyed, but you still take damage!" Asuka said as Takasu was shocked.

Takasu LP: 1400→300

"Almost there. Just one more attack and she wins." Rua smiled.

"Even with his Burning Chain card, she still has the advantage in Life Points." Rio observed.

"I end my turn!" Asuka finished.

Asuka LP: 1800, Hand: 0
Takasu LP: 300, Hand: 0

"That does it!" Takasu bellowed. "I'm taking you down this turn! My turn! Draw!" Takasu drew his card. "I drew the Tuner Monster, Chain Coil (ATK: 1100, LV: 4)! Due to Burning Chain's effect, I can Special Summon this monster and you take 300 points of damage!" Takasu brought out a coil Chain monster and Asuka was electrocuted.

Asuka LP: 1800→1500

"Next, I use Chain Repairer's effect to Special Summon Chain Shooter (ATK: 1100, LV: 2)!" The shooting Chain monster reappeared. "Then, I use its effect! I release Chain Repairer, to inflict 800 points of damage!" Repairer disappeared along with Soul Anchor and Chain Shooter fired at Asuka, making her take more damage.

Asuka LP: 1500→700

"That combo again!" Jonouchi gritted his teeth.

"Now, I'm Tuning my Level 2 Chain Shooter with my Level 4 Chain Coil!" Chain Coil turned into four green rings and Chain Shooter went through them and became two stars.

"Heavy chains that bury the scum of the earth in the ground, appear before us and crush these lawbreakers! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Chain Dragon (ATK: 2500, LV: 6)!" Appearing was a large blue and green dragon with a chain around it.

"This is his Synchro Monster." Asuka looked at the dragon.

"I activate Chain Dragon's effect! By banishing Chain Monsters in my Graveyard, Chain Dragon has its Attack Points increased by 200 for each one until the end of this turn! I have five Chain monsters in my Graveyard! Therefore, Chain Dragon gains 1000 Attack Points!"

Chain Dragon (ATK: 2500→3500)

"3500 Attack Points…" Asuka uttered.

"Go, Chain Dragon! Chain Blast!" Chain Dragon unleashed his breath attack and Dakini was destroyed.

"Due to Spirit Barrier's effect, I don't take damage!" Asuka pointed out.

"I know! At this moment, I activate my Trap Card: Electric Chain! When a Chain monster destroys a monster in battle, this card inflicts 100 points of damage per the Chain monster's Level! Chain Dragon is Level 6! Therefore, you take 600 points of damage!" Takasu grinned. Asuka was then shocked once more.

Asuka LP: 700→100

Asuka knees shook and she fell to the ground.

"Asuka!" Yuya cried.

"I end my turn." Takasu pulled out his nose hairs and blew them away. "At this moment, Chain Dragon's effect ends and its Attack Points return to normal!"

Chain Dragon (ATK: 3500→2500)

Neo Domino Prison – Cafeteria

"Hey, no screwing us over, okay!" Crow glared at the prisoner that served food.

"Y-Yes sir!" The gave generous helpings of food to him and the Lancers.

"Are you the kingpin of this place?" Sawatari asked.

"I've been here multiple times on trumped up charges, and every time I've been able to get out here thanks to lack of evidence." Crow said. "This time they accused me of stealing tuna from the Tops. Tuna that I legally bought. I'll be out of here in no time. Though I am surprised that you got caught? What happened?"

"You probably wouldn't believe me." Rin said.

"Oh, come on. Try me." Crow said.

And so, the Lancers told Crow of the different dimensions and the different summon methods and how Academia invaded Heartland and how they'll try to launch an invasion against Neo Domino and Maiami in order to get Rin, Yuzu, Ruri and Serena in their custody. They also told him about Yuya, who was the first to accept Rin in the Standard Dimension and how he protected Rin during her time there.

"I'll have to be sure to thank this Yuya fella. He seems like a nice guy." Crow smiled.

"So, you believe us?" Rin asked.

"Well, if seeing three others girls with your face doesn't mean one-night stands then anything's possible." Crow said.

"So, Crow. How do you know Rin?" Yuzu asked.

"Well, it was 13 years ago. My parents died in an accident and I was left alone in the Commons. I didn't have any friends or any living relatives left. As you know, living in the Commons, it's a struggle just to live through another day." Crow explained.

"But I was able to keep going, thanks to Duel Monsters." Crow showed his deck. "I never went to school, so it was hard for me to read, write and do math. But Duel Monsters were able to help me do that and it helped me make friends. They brought me to an orphanage run by a kind woman named Martha. It was there, that I met my first true friend, Jack Atlas."

"The King, Jack Atlas! He's your friend!" Rin was surprised.

"Yeah, Jack pushed me to my limits, he helped me get stronger. He said he had a goal." Crow said.

"A goal?" Gongenzaka asked.

"He said a card fell from the Tops area. A card that had to return up there, no matter what." Crow said. "He said having a goal and a reason to fight for it was the only way one could survive in this city's society."

"I was just a kid, so I wasn't really sure what he meant, but one day at the pier, I heard it…"

Commons Area – Pier (13 years ago)

A five-year-old Crow was looking at his cards. "Hm…maybe with this combo, I can beat Jack's ace monster…"

Then the sound of crying got his attention. He looked around and he saw a wooden box being pulled into the waves. Inside it was a baby Rin.

"Oh no!" Crow quickly put his cards away and dived into the water and swam. He managed to reach the box and began pushing it back to the pier.

He got the box back on solid ground looked in it and saw Rin was still crying while holding a bracelet. "Hey, it's okay, don't cry." Crow said he poked Rin's nose; this made her stop crying. She saw Crow's finger and grabbed it and she started giggling and Crow smiled.

Commons Area – Martha's Orphanage

Rin was being fed milk in a bottle by a woman wearing brown robes long hair. "Looks like we'll have another mouth to feed."

"Don't worry Martha, I'll take care of her!" Crow declared.

"Crow, taking care of someone is a huge responsibility." Martha warned.

"I know, but…" Crow looked at Rin who was smiling thanks to the milk she got. "She's my reason to fight."

Neo Domino Prison – Cafeteria (Present Time)

"I wanted give you what saved me. I wanted to share what I learned from Duel Monsters with you." Crow took Rin's hand. "As you grew up, I saw you caring you were towards the other kids, and how you looked after them. Even the older kids treated you with respect. That's when I decided to name you Rin."

"Crow…" Rin smiled.

"We would go out and find cards for you and you fell in love with the Wind Witch cards. I remember you screaming in joy when you rode on the back of my D-Wheel. I was happy that I had a family." Crow smiled then disappeared. "But three years ago…"

Martha's Orphanage – 3 Years Ago

Crow came riding up with groceries in the back of his D-Wheel. "Rin's gonna love the cake I got for her." Crow carried the groceries and cake up to the orphanage.

"I'm back!" Crow shouted with a smile. But there was no one there. "Huh? Hello? Martha! Rin!" Crow called out. "Come on, guys, where are you?!" Crow called out.

He went into the living room and he saw Martha packing stuff in boxes. "Martha, why didn't you answer me?" Crow walked up to her.

"Oh, Crow…I'm sorry." Martha apologized.

"Are you going somewhere? Where is everyone?" Crow asked.

"Security came by earlier." Marth said. "This area was bought to expand their base of operations. I've been relocated to another orphanage."

"No…no they can't do that." Crow shook his head. "What about the kids? What about Rin?"

"I'm sorry, Crow." Martha apologized. "They've all been sent to different orphanages. I don't know where Rin is."

Crow felt his whole world shatter. He dropped the cake on the floor and the box opened to reveal "Happy Birthday, Rin."

"No, no, no!" Crow ran out of the orphanage and on his D-Wheel. He sped through the roads.

"Rin! Rin! Rin!" Crow shouted. "RIN!" Crow shouted loudly that it echoed throughout all of Neo Domino.

Neo Domino Prison – Cafeteria (Present Time)

"I tried looking for you. I was so angry that I burst through the orphanages trying to find you. Security arrested me and it's how I got these marks." Crow showed his marks. "I would keep trying to find you whenever I got out, but Security kept trying to lock me away. I was starting to lose hope."

"Crow…I'm so sorry." Rin apologized. "I can't believe that I forgot who you were and how important you were to me. I was so focused on wanting to win the Friendship Cup that nothing else mattered."

"It's okay. You were still little, so it doesn't matter now." Crow smiled. "What matters now is that we get out of here together."

"But how?" Ruri asked. "There are guards everywhere."

"Leave that to me." Crow grinned.

Underground Duel Arena

The prisoners of the underground were now losing hope as Asuka was now down to her last 100 Life Points. Asuka stood up on her feet. "Damn it…I have no cards in my hand, and Spirit Barrier won't protect me forever. What am I going to do?"

"Don't give up! Asuka!" Yuya shouted, getting her attention.

"That's right, you can still win!" Jonouchi cheered.

"One card is enough to turn the tides!" Rio declared.

"Perform a miracle! Be a hero!" Rua said.

"Everyone…" She looked at the prisoners of the underground who have been trapped her for a year with no contact from their families or friends. "That's right. Just because they lose doesn't mean they should lose everything. If we want to change the corrupt society Neo Domino…I can't lose here!"

Asuka LP: 100, Hand: 0
Field: Continuous Trap: Spirit Barrier

Takasu LP: 300, Hand: 0
Field: Chain Dragon (ATK: 2500, LV: 6), Continuous Trap: Burning Chain.

"My turn! Draw!" Asuka drew her card.

"Give up! You only have 100 Life Points and one card in your hand! Next turn, if I draw a monster or a card that destroys Spirit Barrier, the match is settled! You're in a losing position!" Takasu picked his nose.

"Yeah, I am in a losing position…but I'll turn it into a victory!" Asuka declared.

"What?" Takasu glared.

"This entire city…just a single loss means losing everything…you signify that by robbing these people of their hopes and dreams. But those dreams are just sleeping, waiting to be awakened. I'll awaken those dreams with this card!" Asuka showed her card.

"I summon the Tuner Monster Cyber Acrobatic (ATK: 600, LV: 2)!" A girl wearing a unitard appeared on the field and did some acrobatics before posing.

"When this monster is Normal Summoned, I can Special Summon one Cyber Girl from my Graveyard! Revive! Etoile Cyber (ATK: 1200, LV: 4)!" Etoile Cyber returned.

"I'm Tuning my Level 4 Etoile Cyber with my Level 2 Cyber Acrobatic!" Cyber Acrobatic jumped in the air and did acrobats before turning into two green rings and Etoile Cyber went through them and became 4 stars.

"With your incredible flexibility and jump power, become the shining star to make dreams a reality! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 6! Cyber Jump Star (ATK: 2400, LV: 6)! Appearing was a woman with black hair tied in a ponytail, dressed in a one-piece black gymnastic suit and white skirt, who jumped high in the air and twisted her body around before landing with grace.

Takasu looked at the monster with shock before laughing loudly. "Your monster is nothing compared to my Chain Dragon! You've lost!" Takasu laughed.

"Cyber Jump Star gains 400 Attack Points for every Cyber monster in my Graveyard! I have Etoile Cyber, Cyber Acrobatic and Cyber Angel Dakini, therefore it gains 1200 Attack Points!" Asuka revealed as white aura appeared around Jump Star.

Cyber Jump Star (ATK: 2400→3600)

"3600 Attack Points?!" Takasu got scared.

"Cyber Jump Star was able to get this power thanks to the dreams of the Cyber monsters in my Graveyard! Her beautiful moves in the air made those monsters want her to do the impossible! I, no, the Dimension Guardians will do the impossible! We will change Neo Domino City!"

"You bitch…" Takasu cursed.

"Battle! Cyber Jump Star, attack Chain Dragon!" Cyber Jump Star ran towards the dragon and jumped on the chain bounced off towards the sky before spinning herself around with her feet down. "Drill Kick!" Jump Star dived towards Chain Dragon and pierced right thorough it and destroyed it and Takasu was electrified.

Takasu LP: 300→0

Winner: Asuka Tenjoin

Takasu passed out from the electrocution and fell forward.

"You did it, Asuka!" Rua cheered.

"That's the way to do it!" Rio smiled.

"Don't make me sweat like that again." Jonouchi uttered as he grinned.

"You're amazing, Asuka!" Yuya shouted.

"She did it!"

"She defeated the Warden!"

"Then that means…"

Gallagher sighed. "Well, a deal is a deal. You all are free to go!" Gallagher announced.

"Asuka! Asuka! Asuka!" Everyone cheered for Asuka who smiled as she accomplished what she wanted to do. She gave them a chance to reunite with their loved ones.

"What are you all waiting for?!"

Everyone turned to see Chojiro nearby the elevator. "Everyone's waiting!"

Commons Area – Forbidden Area

After the last of the prisoners went back up to the surface, the Dimension Guardians were the last ones and when they arrived, they saw multiple people welcoming back the ones that were trapped underground.

"These are…" Asuka spoke.

"All the loved ones who waited for them to return." Chojiro confirmed. "While you were Dueling, I already sent out a message to the families and friends."

Fathers reunited with their wives and children, siblings shared a sibling hug and best friends happily put their arms around each other.

"I'm forever grateful to this. I won't forget what you've guys have done." Chojiro thanked.

"It was mostly Asuka." Yuya pointed out.

"True, but the fact that all five of you are fighting for the same thing, regardless of what others think, it makes me believe that this city can indeed be changed." Chojiro declared. "Now then, it's time I hold up my end of the bargain."

Chojiro revealed a sack. "The walls of the prisoner are high and the gates can only be controlled from the inside. Also, the concrete is so hard it'll take forever to go under. That's why you'll need these grappling guns." Chojiro showed them one.

"The power in these can make you reach heights you thought were impossible. They're also fast, so the security cameras won't be able to fully focus on you. But they're one-way tickets." He gave the gun to Yuya. "You should prepare yourselves before going in." He gave the rest of the Dimension Guardians grabbling guns.

"Thank you." Asuka thanked.

"I hope you all can get your friends out." Chojiro hoped.

"Thanks to you, we definitely will." Yuya smiled. "And we'll come back here so we can…"

"Enjoy!" All five of them shouted.

Chojiro laughed. "I look forward to it." Chojiro shook hands with all of them before heading off.

"Yuya Sakaki." Everyone turned to see Duel Chaser 227.

"Duel Chaser 227." Yuya said.

"No, I'm done with the Duel Chasers. I'm done with Security." He removed his helmet. "Let me properly introduce myself. The name's Soichi Kazama." Kazama had blue hair and brown eyes and a warm smile.

"Nice to meet you, Kazama." Yuya smiled.

"Listen, before you go, you should go see this person." Kazama held out a business card. "This guy is an expert on everything IT. He's also a good engineer so he can give your D-Wheel a tune up."

"Thanks." Yuya accepted the card. "But if you're done with Sector Security, what are you gonna do now?"

"Well…even though there are no more people in the Underground Labor Facility, it doesn't mean that it won't shut down. Roget will find a way to bring people down there. But no one deserves this fate, criminal or not." Kazama said.

"And that Gallagher guy is still there and he's in cahoots with Roget." Jonouchi said.

"I really do want you guys to change Neo Domino, but that doesn't mean Roget will stand by and let that happen. I'll try to do everything I can to learn more about his motives." Kazama declared. "And Yuya, I'm sorry for…"

"It's okay." Yuya said. "If anything, I'm happy."

"Happy?" Kazama asked.

"You're proof that change can happen in this city." Yuya smiled.

Kazama smiled back and went back to the elevator. "I wish you victory, Dimension Guardians!" Kazama pulled the lever and went back down.

"Okay, we should go visit this guy first before going into the prison." Yuya revealed their next move.

"What's the guy's name?" Rio asked.

"Hm…Bruno Borelli." Yuya read.

And done with Chapter 5. With this, the motion to change the corrupt society of Neo Domino has begun. It's not noticeable, but the Dimension Guardians will slowly change the minds of the people of the Synchro Dimension.

I hope you all enjoyed the backstory I gave to Crow in this version. He'll be a big part of this story as well.
