And here is Chapter 07 of the Synchro Arc. This Duel was extremely tough to write, mostly as I had to make sure not to go over the five cards limit of each zone since the Guardians were sharing a field but I hope you all like what you read.

Chapter 07: The Dragon Faster Than the Speed of Sound

Multiple news helicopters were reporting the Duel from different channels. "Hello, people of Neo Domino! Melissa Claire here reporting live from Neo Domino Prison. The Director of Security, Jean Michel Roget is currently taking on the so-called heroes, the Dimension Guardians. And even though Primary Suspect, Yuya Sakaki dealt heavy damage on his first turn, the Director is pushing them back."

"I have countermeasures against every type of monster, thanks to the data I retrieved from the Lancers." Roget declared. "Whether it is Pendulum, Fusion, Synchro, Xyz or even Ritual, all will fall before these Machines!"
"When I have only this card in my hand, I activate the Magic Card: Aurora Draw!" Roget played his card. "This allows me to draw two additional cards from my deck!" Roget drew his cards and his eyes widened as he saw one of them. "No, not yet."
"I set one card and end my turn!" Roget finished.

"It's alright, Yuya." Jonouchi assured him. "You did what you wanted to do and set up the foundation."
"We'll use what you gave us to bring out our full power!" Rua said. "I'll go next! My turn! Draw!" Rua drew his card. "I have to stop him from chipping away at our Life Points. Ruka, give me power."
"With the current Pendulum Scale…Pendulum Summon! Come before me, the monsters of hope!" Rua shouted as the portal opened and four monsters appeared. "Deformer Radicassen (ATK: 1200, LV: 4)! Deformer Videon (ATK: 1000, LV: 4) Deformer Magnen U (ATK: 800, LV: 3)! Tuner Monster, Deformer Remocon (DEF: 1200, LV: 3)!" Monsters resembling a boombox, video camera, magnet and remote appeared.
"Amazing! The Guardians are utilizing Yuya Sakaki's Pendulum Summon!" Melissa reported.
"I activate Deformer Remocon's effect! When it's in Defense Position, I can send one Deformer monster from my hand to the Graveyard and add one Deformer monster with the same Level as the monster I discarded! I discard the Level 1 Deformer Mobahon to the Graveyard, and add the Level 1 Tuner Monster, Deformer Smahon!" Rua added another Tuner to his hand.
"Here I come, Roget! I'm Tuning my Level 4 Videon with my Level 3 Remocon!" Remocon turned into three green rings and Videon went through them and became four stars.
"Gather your love and courage and make a stand to change the world! Synchro Summon! Appear! Level 7! Power Tool Revolution Dragon (ATK: 2300, LV: 7)!" Appearing was a downgraded version of Power Tool Braver Dragon with the colors of orange and green.
"Next, by banishing a Deformer monster in my Graveyard, I can Special Summon Deformer Smahon (100, LV: 1)" A smart phone monster appeared.
"Now I'm Tuning my Level 4 Radicassen and Level 3 Magnen U with my Level 1 Smahon!" Smahon turned into one green ring and Radicassen and Magen U went through them and became six stars.
"Guardian of the Spirit World, appear before us and bless us with your holy light! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Ancient Fairy Twilight Dragon (ATK: 2600, LV: 8)!" A female dragon with wings of fairy emitting twilight appeared next to Power Tool.
"Two consecutive Synchro Summons." Yuya was amazed.
"When Ancient Fairy Twilight Dragon is Synchro Summoned, it negates the effects of all of my opponent's face up cards on the field! Blinding Sunshine!" Ancient Fairy Twilight Dragon unleashed a bright light that negated the effects of Fortissimo, Recycle Ein and Revive Drain.
"Alright! With this, he won't inflict effect damage on us!" Asuka smiled.
"Battle! Power Tool Revolution Dragon, attack Master Ein!" Rua's dragon charged at the yellow machine.
"I told you, I have methods to counter your summons, including making them my own! I activate my Trap Card: Imperial Overlay! When a Machine Imperial monster is targeted for an attack, I can use that monster as well as others with the same Level as materials and perform an Xyz Summon!"
"What?!" Rua gasped.
"He's gonna Xyz Summon?!" Rio exclaimed.
"With the Level 4 Valor Ein, Wisdom Ein and Master Ein, I construct the Overlay Network!" Valor turned into brown light, Wisdom turned to blue light and Master turned into yellow light and they all entered the spacelike vortex in the sky.
"Machine that brings despair to all, appear now and rob these fools of their hope! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 4! Machine Imperial Emperor Ein (ATK: 2800, RNK: 4, OVU: 3)!" A black colored machine monster appeared with a royal cape around its shoulders.
"Amazing! The Director has performed an unknown summoning!" Melissa was in awe.
"Then, I activate the Quick-Play Magic: Limiter Removal! This will double the Attack Points of all Machine-type monsters on my field!" Power Tool gained more power.
Power Tool Revolution Dragon (ATK: 2300→4600)
"Go! Power Tool! Attack Emperor Ein! Revolutional Drill!" Power Tool's drill spun fast and it hit Emperor Ein.
"Emperor Ein cannot be destroyed when it has Overlay Units!" Roget revealed.
"But you still take damage!" Rua pointed out and Machinicle took some damage.

"I switch Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon into Defense Position and end my turn." Rua switched Odd-Eyes to Defense Position.

"At this moment, Limiter Removal would destroy all Machine-type monsters on my field." Power Tool Revolution Dragon was destroyed.
"I'm sorry I couldn't do more guys." Rua apologized.
"You did plenty, Rua." Yuya admitted.
"But still, I can't believe he would Xyz Summon." Rio looked at the Xyz monster.
"It hasn't used Overlay Units, so let's be prepared." Jonouchi advised.

"My turn! Draw!" Roget drew his card. "I activate Machine Imperial Emperor Ein's effect! Once per turn, by using one Overlay Unit, I can inflict 500 points of damage to the opponent! Take this!" Emperor crushed an Overlay Unit and fired it at the Guardians and they all felt pain.

"Battle! Emperor Ein, attack Ancient Fairy Twilight Dragon! With that dragon destroyed, my previous cards will gain back their effects!" Roget smiled.
"No." Rua gritted his teeth.
"When an Xyz Monster attacks, I can Special Summon Ice Otter (DEF: 1600, LV: 4) from my hand in Defense Position!" An otter appeared on a platform of ice and it began barking. "With this effect, the Xyz Monster's attack is negated!" The barking made Emperor Ein stop his attack.
"Useless effort. The result will be the same. I set one card and end my turn!" Roget finished.

"Rio, you save Ancient Fairy…" Rua was surprised.
"That dragon was your sister's, right?" Rio asked. "If she's important to you, then she's important to all of us."
"Rio…" Rua smiled.
"Yes, this is more than just about surviving! It's about showing that a difference can be made! My turn! Draw!" Rio drew her card.
"Yuya, I'll use your power! Pendulum Summon! Appear! My cute monsters!" Two lights came out of the power. "Blizzard Falcon (ATK: 1500, LV: 4)! Aurora Wing (ATK: 1200, LV: 4)!" Rio summoned a blue falcon with green wings and a winged beast with blue and green wings that created an aurora in the sky.
"Ice Otter has another effect! By releasing this card, all Water-Attribute monsters on my field have their Level raised by 1!" Ice Otter disappeared and Blizzard Falcon and Aurora Wing had their Levels increased.

"I Overlay my Level 5 Blizzard Falcon and Aurora Wing!" Both monsters turned into blue lights and entered the spacelike portal in front of Rio.
"Princess of another world, transcends the boundaries of space and time and lead us into battle! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 5! Crystal Zero, the Princess of Polar Ice (ATK: 2200, RNK: 5, OVU: 2)!" A large humanoid monster wearing princess attire with a javelin appeared.
"Oh, you're an Xyz user as well?" Roget looked impressed.
"Don't get impressed yet! I activate Crystal Zero's effect! By using one Overlay Unit, I can halve the Attack Points of one monster on my opponent's field until the end of the Battle Phase! Crystal Eraser!" Emperor Ein lost some of its power.

"Battle! Crystal Zero, attack Emperor Ein!" Crystal Zero charged.
"Emperor Ein still has Overlay Units; therefore, it can't be destroyed!" Roget pointed out.
"Is that so?" Rio smiled.
"What?" Roget questioned.
"Form my hand, I activate the Quick-Play Magic: Liquid Nitrogen! When a Water-Attribute monster attacks, the effects of the monster it battles has its effects negated!" Rio revealed. Liquid Nitrogen hit Emperor Ein, turning him frozen solid.
"Go! Crystal Zero! Crystal Javelin!" Crystal Zero hurled her javelin and it shattered Emperor Ein and the javelin hit Machinicle, damaging it more.

"Alright!" Rua cheered. "She got rid of the Emperor!"
"Don't get ahead of yourselves! I activate the Trap Card: Scrap Scavenging! This card allows me to Special Summon as many Level 4 or lower Machine monsters in my Graveyard! Revive! Valor Ein (ATK: 1800, LV: 4)! Wisdom Ein (ATK: 1400, LV: 4)! Master Ein (ATK: 1600, LV: 4)!" The three soldiers appeared again.
"The monsters Special Summoned cannot be destroyed and battle damage is reduced to 0!" Roget added.
"Then, I set two cards and switch Ancient Fairy Twilight Dragon to Defense Position!" Ancient Fairy Twilight Dragon went into a defensive position.

"I activate the Magic Card: Imperial Tuning! This card transforms on Machine monster on my field into a Tuner Monster!" Roget revealed. "I change Wisdom Ein into a Tuner!"
"Here it comes!" Rua shouted.
"I know!" Rio nodded.
"I'm Tuning my Level 4 Machine Emperor Imperial Solider Valor Ein and Master Ein with my Level 4 Wisdom Ein!" Wisdom Ein became four green rings and Valor Ein and Master Ein went through them.
"Bring tragedy and chaos to the criminals that falsely claim themselves heroes! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 12! Machine Imperial Dragon Asterisk (ATK: 4000, LV: 12)!" A gold dragon with the symbol of the machine emperors appeared.
"The Director has summoned a Level 12 Synchro Monster, the highest level ever!" Melissa cheered.
"That's it, Director!"
"Kill those so-called heroes!"
"Tops and Security are always superior!"
The Tops cheered loudly even though they were only few in number while the Commons watched in silence.
"Battle! Asterisk, attack Crystal Zero! Infinity Nemesis Stream!" Asterisk fired a blast Crystal Zero.
"I activate Crystal Zero's effect! By using one Overlay Unit, one monster on my opponent's field has their Attack Points reduced by half until the end of the Battle Phase! Crystal Eraser!" Crystal Zero weakened Asterisk.

"Be gone! Crystal Zero!" Roget shouted.
"I activate my Trap Card: Diamond Dust! This card destroys all Water monsters on the field and for each one the opponent takes 500 points of damage!" Crystal Zero was destroyed and Machinicle got hit with ice.

"So, you destroyed your own monster just to damage me." Roget narrowed his eyes.
"I'm doing more than that!" Rio shouted. "I activate the Quick-Play Magic: Rank Up Magic: Ice Force! When a Water Attribute Xyz Monster is destroyed, I can Special Summon that monster and Xyz Summon one Water Attribute Xyz Monster that is one rank higher!"
Crystal Zero reappeared and flew into the sky. "Princess of another world, through the countless battles you have fought, unleash your inner power to protect your kingdom! Rank Up Xyz Change! Descend! Rank 6! Crystal Infinity, the Princess of Sub Zero (ATK: 2800, RNK: 6, OVU: 1)!" An evolved version of Crystal Zero appeared with both a javelin and a shield.
"When Crystal Infinity is summoned via Rank Up, the Battle Phase ends!" Asterisk couldn't attack anymore.
"Amazing! The criminals stopped the Director's attack!" Melissa was amazed.
"So, you survived…" Roget uttered. "Asterisk's Attack Points will remain at its original 4000 since the effects of it and your Crystal Zero is over. I set two cards and end my turn!

"My turn! Draw!" Asuka drew her card. "I activate the Ritual Magic: Machine Angel Ritual! From my hand, I release the Level 4 Blade Skater and Level 6 Cyber Prima!" An altar appeared and both Cyber girls became flames and ignited the altar.
"Angel of light hiding eternal power. Now show your form to this vast world, and illuminate all creation! Ritual Summon! Descend! Level 10! Cyber Angel Vishnu (ATK: 3000, LV: 10)!" A fairy with long blue hair six wings and a gear on her appeared.
"When Cyber Angel Vishnu is Ritual Summoned, I can destroy as many monsters my opponent controls that were Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, and for each one, the opponent takes 1000 points of damage!" Vishnu fired a blast at Asterisk.
"I activate my Counter Trap: Machine Reflector! When an effect that destroys a Machine monster is activated, I can negate that effect and destroy the monster and the controller of the monster takes damage equal to the destroyed monster's Attack Points!" Roget countered.
"What?!" Asuka gasped.
"Judgement has passed!" Roget declared as the card fired a blast at Vishnu.
"I won't let you!" Rio shouted. "I activate Crystal Infinity's effect! By using one Overlay Unit, I can negate the destruction of a monster on my field!" Crystal Infinity jumped in front of Vishnu and raised her shield and took the blast.

"Rio, you helped me?" Asuka was surprised.
"We're friends, it's only natural to help." Rio answered.
"But I'm…" Asuka spoke.
"That doesn't matter." Rio interrupted. "I know the type of person that you are. You showed me when you fought that warden underground. Plus, you saved me when we first met, so consider us even now."
"Rio." Asuka smiled.
"Keep going! I got your back!" Rio smiled back.
"I activate the Continuous Magic: Theme Walkway!" A walkway appeared and Vishnu walked on it. "This card allows me to change the Attribute of one Cyber Angel monster on my field! I change Vishnu into a Water Attribute!"
"Battle! Cyber Angel Vishnu, attack Asterisk!" Asuka shouted.
"What are you doing?! My Asterisk is stronger!" Roget shouted.
"Crystal Infinity's effect activates!" Rio shouted.
"What? It can use an effect without Overlay Units?!" Roget was shocked.
"When a Water Attribute monster battles an opposing monster, it's Attack Points are doubled!" Rio revealed as Crystal Zero gave Vishnu power.
Cyber Angel Vishnu (ATK: 3000→6000)
"Go! Vishnu!" Vishnu gathered water in her wings and launched it at Asterisk destroying it and hitting Machinicle.

"Alright!" Asuka and Rio high fived.
"Now that's girl power." Jonouchi smiled.
"You both are so cool!" Rua's eyes sparkled.
"Amazing, they were totally in sync with one another." Yuya thought as he smiled.
"Don't get ahead of yourselves!" Roget shouted. "When Asterisk is destroyed, the materials used to summon it are Special Summoned!" Valor, Wisdom and Master returned to the field. "Not only that, they can't be destroyed in battle and all damage is reduced to 0!"
"So, it had a similar effect to his Trap earlier." Jonouchi narrowed his eyes.
"I set one card and end my turn!" Asuka finished.

"We mostly have him shut down, but those set cards…" Jonouchi thought. "My turn! Draw!"
"I activate the Magic Card: Red-Eyes Insight! By sending a Red-Eyes monster from my deck to the Graveyard, I can add one Red-Eyes Magic or Trap Card from my deck to my hand, I add the Magic Card: Red-Eyes Hermos!
"Next, I activate the Magic Card: Resurrection of the Dead! I revive the monster that I sent to the Graveyard! Come forth! Red-Eyes Lightning Lord - Evil Demon (ATK: 2500, LV: 6)!" A demon appeared and unleashed lightning.
"Next, I Gemini Summon Red-Eyes Lightning Lord!" Jonouchi said.
"Gemini Summon?" Rua asked.
"Red-Eyes Lightning Lord is treated as a Normal Monster on the field and in the Graveyard. In order to use its effect, Uncle Jonouchi had to use his Normal Summon to transform it into an effect monster." Yuya explained.
"Red-Eyes Lightning Lord's effect! Once per turn, I can destroy all face-up monsters the opponent's controls with Defense Points lower than Red-Eyes Lightning Lord's Attack Points!" Jonouchi grinned.
"What?!" Roget gasped.
"Light them up!" Jonouchi shouted as Red-Eyes Lightning Lord unleashed lightning that destroyed Roget's monsters. "Your monsters couldn't be destroyed by battle, but a card effect is different!"
"You bastard!" Roget cursed.
"My turn isn't done yet! I activate the Magic Card: Fusion! I fuse Red-Eyes Lightning Lord with the Red-Eyes Black Dragon in my hand!" Jonouchi showed his ace card. Red-Eyes Black Dragon and Lightning Lord entered the spiraling vortex.
"Rio, are you gonna be okay?" Yuya asked.
"I'll be fine." Rio nodded. "While Fusion did destroy my home, it's not the enemy. And besides, Jonouchi's Fusions are amazing."
"Black dragon with red-eyes! Demon with the same red eyes! With your friendship, become one and create a new power! Fusion Summon!" Jonouchi punched bot his fists together. "Come forth! Level 9! Fiend Dragon – Black Demon's Dragon (ATK: 3200, LV: 9)!"
Appearing was a dragon with the skulls of a demon and wings of fire sprouting from its back.
"3200 Attack Points…" Roget gritted his teeth.
"But that's not the end of it." Jonouchi held up another card. "Valon, I'll use the card you gave me."
"I activate Red-Eyes Hermos!" A red dragon with red eyes appeared. "Hermos, fuse with Red-Eyes Metal Knight Gearfried in my hand!" The black clad warrior appeared.
Hermos glowed and transformed into twin blades. "I equip Twin Hermos Blades to Black Skull Dragon!" Black Skull Dragon grabbed the blades and swung them around.
"Battle! Black Skull Dragon! Direct Attack! Hermos Slice!" Black Skull Dragon charged at Machinicle and slashed at the machine, damaging it.

"The monster equipped with Twin Hermos Blades can attack twice per Battle Phase! Go! Hermos Double Slice!" Black Skull Dragon slashed at Machinicle once more causing sparks to shoot out.

"What a move!" Melissa shouted. "With those consecutive attacks the Dimension Guardians are now ahead of the Director!"
"Alright! Way to go, Dimension Guardians!"
"You guys are almost there!"
"Everyone in the Commons is rooting for you!"
The Commons started cheering loudly as they drowned out the Tops' jeers.
"I'm ending this now!" Jonouchi declared. "I activate Fiend Dragon – Black Demon's Dragon's effect! If damage calculation was performed involving this monster at the end of the Battle Phase, I can target one Red-Eyes Normal Monster in my Graveyard and inflict damage to the opponent equal to its Attack Points and shuffle it into the deck!"
"What?!" Roget gasped.
"Red-Eyes Lightning Lord is considered a Normal Monster in the Graveyard; I send it back to my deck and inflict 2500 points of damage to you!" The spirit of Lightning Lord appeared behind Black Skull Dragon and it unleashed a fusion of fire and lightning at Machinicle.
"Impossible! I can't lose!" Roget panicked before he smiled. "Because everything went according to plan!"
"What?!" The Dimension Guardians gasped.
"Reverse Card, open! Quick Play Magic: Machine Chaos Fusion! By discarding a Fusion card from my hand! I can perform a Fusion Summon by banishing Machine monster from my Graveyard! I banish Valor Ein, Wisdom Ein, Master Ein, Emperor Ein, and Asterisk!"
"A Fusion Summon using five monsters?!" Yuya's eyes widened.
The five Machine monsters appeared and entered the spiraling vortex. "Machines that resemble order and control! Now, form an allegiance and join, and be reborn together as a new power! Fusion Summon! Appear! Level 12! Machine Grand Duke Zetta (ATK: 5000, LV: 12)!" A large pure gold Machine monster appeared with a cannon blaster arm and a plasma sword.
"Zetta negates all effect damage inflicted to me!" Zetta swung his sword and cut Black Skull Demon's effect attack.
"I switch Crystal Infinity and Vishnu to Defense Position." The two monsters went to a Defensive stance. "Then I set one card and end my turn!"

"My turn! Draw!" Roget drew his card. "Battle! Zetta, attack Black Skull Dragon!" Zetta swung his giant sword. "Quick-Play Magic: Quick Guard! This card switches Black Skull Dragon to Defense Position!" Black Skull Dragon crossed the swords he had to defend himself.
Black Skull Dragon (DEF: 2500)
The demonic dragon was destroyed but since it was in Defense Position, no battle damage was inflicted.
"Don't think you're safe! When Zetta destroys a monster in battle, the opponent takes 500 points of damage!" Zetta fired a blast at Jonouchi.
"Argh!" Jonouchi was blown off his feet and crashed on his back.

"Uncle Jonouchi!" Yuya cried out.
"I'm not done yet! I set one card and activate the Continuous Trap: Machine Apocalypse! By sending a Magic or Trap Card on my field to the Graveyard, I can have one Machine monster gain an additional attack! I destroy Fortissimo, Recycle Ein and Revive Drain and my set card!"
"My next attack is you!" Roget pointed at Asuka. "Destroy Vishnu!" Zetta swung its sword.
"I activate my Trap Card: Angel Shield! This card prevents my monster from being destroyed by battle or card effect, once per turn!" A shield appeared on Vishnu and she blocked the attack.
"But that won't stop the second one!" Roget ordered Zetta to attack Vishnu again and this time she was destroyed. "Now you take 500 points of damage!" Zetta fired at Asuka.
"Ahh!" Asuka screamed as she hit the ground.

"Asuka!" Rio cried.
"You're joining her next!" Roget shouted. "Attack Crystal Infinity!" Zetta sliced through the ice princess. "Here's more damage!" Zetta fired at Rio and she was blown away.
"Ahh!" Rio cried in pain.

"And now for the last one. Which of you will take it?" Roget looked at Yuya and Rua.
"Hey, your problem is with me! Leave my friends alone!" Yuya shouted.
"True, you are the one that started all this madness." Roget smiled. "Very well, I'll grant your request. Zetta attack…Ancient Fairy Twilight Dragon!"
"No!" Yuya cried as Zetta charged at the dragon and cut her down.
"I'm sorry, Ruka." Rua shed tears.
"Now you will take damage!" Roget pointed at Rua and Zetta fired a blast at Rua.
"Argh!" Rua screamed as he was blown back.

"You bastard!" Yuya shouted in anger as tears fell down his face. "Why them?! Why?!"
"I know who you are, Dragon Solider Yuya." Roget smiled. "You are a strong Duelist with incredible power, but your heart is very fragile. You care a lot about your friends, that is your greatest power but also your greatest weakness."
"When you grow to care someone, you convince yourself that they can't die. You thought that way towards your brothers, haven't you?" Roget asked and Yuya's eyes widened.
"Don't listen to him, Yuya!" Yugo shouted.
"Friendship, bonds, love. Those things don't belong here in Neo Domino." Roget declared. "Victory is all that matters. That's how it's always been and it will continue that way. You can't change this society no matter how hard you try. And you will bring death to everyone who follows you."
"Death…to everyone…" Yuya uttered.
"Your brothers have perished. Your friends are in my custody. And the ones that fought beside you could already be dead." Yuya looked at the other Guardians and saw that none of them were moving.
"But you can still save them." Roget said.
"What?" Yuya looked at Roget.
"If you surrender, your friends won't have to suffer anymore. In fact, we will offer our aid against Academia." Roget smiled. "We can defeat Leo Akaba together and the war will be over. And most importantly, your friends will be safe."
"My friends…safe…" Yuya uttered.
"Yuya, he's lying! Don't listen to him!" Yugo shouted but his words weren't reaching Yuya. "Why aren't you listening to me?"
"Seeing the Guardians fall before him damaged his heart." Yuri appeared.
"He's being consumed by despair." Yuto appeared.
"I want…my friends…safe." Yuya said.
"Then you know what to do." Roget smiled. "End this with your own hand."
Yuya raised his hand and hovered it over his deck. "It's my fault…I was too optimistic into thinking we could change Neo Domino. Because of that…everyone…" Yuya lowered his hand as a tear fell on his pendant. "I…sur—" Yuya was about to touch his deck.
"Hey, what are you doing?!" Roget shouted. Yuya looked up at the hologram of Roget and saw him get knocked over by Rin.
"Don't do it, Yuya!" Rin shouted.
"Rin!" Yuya was surprised. "Are you okay?!"
"We're fine! We're at the Council Building, but forget that! What you're about to do, that's one thing that you should never do!" Rin said.
"Hey, get back over there!" Roget tried pushing Rin away.
"Yuya, if you want to change Neo Domino, if you want to save us, then keep Dueling your way! You've done it all the time in Standard! You've turned the tables around; you gave us a fighting chance! I believe in you!" Rin shouted.
"If it weren't for these chains…." Yuya saw Jonouchi getting up. "I would smack you upside the head."
"Uncle…" Yuya said.
"Yuya, it's not gonna be easy to change this society…" Asuka started to stand up.
"There will be Duels much harder than this one…" Rio got to her feet.
"But even so…we can't give up!" Rua shouted.
"Everyone…" Yuya uttered.
"Get her back with the others!" Roget finally pushed Rin out. "No matter what you do, it's useless! I end my turn! Now, Yuya Sakaki, this is your last turn! There's nothing you can do! Do the sensible thing and surrender!"
Yuya looked at the powerful Zetta and closed his eyes. "Yugo." Yuya thought.
"Yuya, can you hear me?" Yugo asked.
"Yeah…I need a favor." Yuya said.
"Sure, what do you need?" Yugo was happy that Yuya could hear him.
"I want you to punch me." Yuya said.
"Come again?" Yugo was confused.
"I ignored your calls. I was about to give up everything I stood for over false hope." Yuya answered.
"But Yuya, I can't actually hit you." Yugo pointed out.
"Just do it, please…" Yuya insisted.
"Well, if you say so." Yugo reared his fist back and his fist went through Yuya's chest. At that moment, both Yugo and Yuya saw a new dragon. "Whoa, what was that?"
"The first step…" Yuya smiled. The card on top of his deck also glowed.

Dimension Guardians LP: 75 (Yuya Hand: 0, Jonouchi Hand: 0, Asuka Hand: 0, Rio Hand: 0, Rua Hand: 0)
"My turn! Draw!" Yuya drew his card. "I activate Sky Iris' effect! By destroying one card on my field, I can add an Odd-Eyes monster from my deck to my hand! I destroy Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon to add the Tuner Monster, Odd-Eyes Monk to my hand!
"And now, Odd-Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon's Pendulum Effect! When an Odd-Eyes monster is destroyed, I can Special Summon an Odd-Eyes monster from my hand, deck, or Graveyard! From my deck, I Special Summon Odd-Eyes Eagle (ATK: 1400, LV: 4, PS: 1)!" Yuya summoned a brown eagle with red and green eyes.
"Next, I summon the Tuner Monster Odd-Eyes Monk!" The old monk with red and green eyes appeared.
Yuya opened his Extra Deck and pulled out Clear Wing Synchro Dragon. "Clear Wing, now is the time to fly higher, fly faster, to surpass your limits! I'm Tuning my Level 4 Odd-Eyes Eagle with my Level 3 Odd-Eyes Monk!" Monk slammed his wooden staff on the ground and became three green rings and Eagle flew through them and became four stars.
"Swing, Pendulum! Swing bigger!" The giant pendulum swung back and forth. "And grant us your power!" The pendulum glowed and shot a beam of light on Clear Wing's card.
"Shining wings, deliver divine speed and illuminate Heaven and Earth! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Synchro Dragon blessed with Pendulum! Clear Wing Fast Dragon (ATK: 2500, LV: 7, PS: 4)!" Clear Wing's card was now half Synchro and half Pendulum.
Clear Wing had changed from blue and white to green and white, with the green being the same material as the Pendulum. It flew at speeds that were invisible to the eye before appearing behind Yuya and let out a roar.
The Tops cheering stopped as the dragon silenced them with its mere presence.
"Whoa…" Rua was in awe of the dragon.
"A Synchro Pendulum Dragon…" Rio uttered.
"So beautiful." Asuka admitted.
"That's more like it." Jonouchi smiled.
"Clear Wing Fast Dragon's effect! Once per turn, I can negate the effect of one monster on my opponent's field and reduce its Attack Points to 0!" Yuya revealed. Zetta's effect was negated and its Attack Points were reduced.
Zetta (ATK: 5000→0)
"The powerful Zetta has lost all of its Attack Points, if this goes through, the Director loses!" Melissa said.
"Don't screw with me! From my Graveyard, I activate the effect of the Trap: Zetta Dominance! Zetta will gain the combined Attack Points of all Machine monsters that were banished.
Zetta (ATK: 0→11,600)
"It's over, you've lost! You're too weak to stop me!" Roget declared.
"That's right, I'm took weak!" Yuya agreed, surprising Roget. "That's why I'm not alone! When I have a Pendulum Monster on my field, I can activate the Magic Card: Dimensions Unite! This card Special Summons at least 1 Ritual, Fusion, Synchro and Xyz Monster from the Graveyard!"
"What?!" Roget exclaimed.
"Everyone, call them out!" Yuya shouted.
"Return to the field! Fiend Dragon – Black Demon's Dragon (ATK: 3200, LV: 9)!" Jonouchi summoned his Fusion Monster.
"Revive! Cyber Angel Vishnu (ATK: 3000, LV: 10)!" Asuka brought back her Ritual Monster.
"Return to the field! Power Tool Revolution Dragon (ATK: 2300, LV: 7)!" Rua brought back his Synchro Monster.
"Come before us once more! Crystal Infinity (ATK: 2800, RNK: 6, OVU: 0)!" Rio brought back her Xyz Monster.
"The monsters Special Summon cannot battle and their effects are negated, also they will be destroyed at the End Phase." Yuya revealed.
"Then what's the point?!" Roget growled.
"This! Battle! Clear Wing Fast Dragon, attack Zetta!" Clear Wing flew into the sky.
"At this moment, Dimension Unite's effect has one monster's Attack Points on the opponent's field is reduced by the total Attack Points of the Special Summoned monsters!" Yuya revealed.
"What?!" Roget gasped.
"Go! Black Skull Dragon!" Jonouchi shouted. Black Skull Dragon fired flames and lightning at Zetta, weakening it.
Zetta (ATK: 11,600→8400)
"Help them out! Vishnu!" Asuka shouted. Vishnu fired powerful beams of light at Zetta.
Zetta (ATK: 8400→5400)
"Power Tool! It's time for a revolution!" Rua shouted. Power Tool used his drill to start cracking Zetta's armor.
Zetta (ATK: 5400→3100)
"Crystal Infinity! Don't let him escape!" Rio shouted. Crystal Infinity threw her javelin and it struck Zetta, encasing it in ice.
Zetta (ATK: 3100→300)
"Amazing. The monsters are taking down the Grand Duke." Melissa was in shock. The Tops completely lost their confidence.
"Impossible, no one should be able to defeat this deck! I had you! Why didn't you give up and give in to despair?!"
"Because someone gave me hope." Yuya thought of Rin and her words. "Everyone, together!"
"Go! Clear Wing Fast Dragon!" Jonouchi said.
"Attack Machine Grand Duke Zetta!" Asuka continued.
"Travel faster than the speed of light!" Rua added.
"And strike down the wall of despair!" Rio finished.
"Whirlwind Paradox Dive!" Yuya shouted the attack and Clear Wing disappeared in an instant and appeared behind both Grand Duke and Machinicle. The two then burst into flames and fell to the ground.

Council Building
"Impossible…for this deck to lose…" Roget couldn't believe what just happened. He had them, victory was his. He then angrily turned towards the Lancers, especially Rin. "You…" Crow instantly stood in front of her protectively.
"Roget, it appears that you were wrong." Roget turned to the Council where the one in white spoke. "Has the Mayor gone to retrieve them?"
"Yes, sir. The helicopter is en route to the prison." The one wearing orange answered.
"Uh, sir." Ushio spoke.
"Not now, Officer." Roget growled.
"I just wanted to let you know that all the prisoners were escorted underground." Ushio stepped back a bit in fear.
"Is that so? Then…I've still won!" Roget smiled.
"What are you talking about? Yuya and his friends won?!" Rin argued.
"They won the Duel…but they will lose their lives!" Roget pressed a button on his Duel Disk.
Neo Domino Prison
The chains on the Dimension Guardian's ankles were loosed and the devices on their chests came off.
"You little!" Jonouchi grabbed Yuya in a headlock. "Don't you dare pull a stunt like that again!"
"I'm sorry." Yuya choked out.
"Hey, don't choke your nephew!" Asuka scolded him.
"Hey, look!" Rio pointed to the sky and a helicopter started lowering itself towards the ground. The door opened to reveal a man with long gray hair in a gray suit and pants over a collared shirt that featured the Condor geoglyph.
"Grandpa!" Rua smiled.
"Rua, it's past your bed time!" Rex Godwin joked. "Hurry and get on, I'll get you to the Lancers!"
"Let's go." Jonouchi let go of Yuya and patted his back.
"Yeah." Yuya nodded. The Guardians started walking when an explosion shook the ground and they all lost their footing. "What the heck?"
"Self-Destruct Protocol Initiated! Evacuate the building immediately!" An announcement echoed.
"Stop descending!" Godwin ordered the pilot. He then dropped a ladder. "Quickly!" Everyone reached the ladder and started climbing as the helicopter ascending out of the range of the exploding prison.
"Come on, let's climb!" Jonouchi shouted as they all climbed up the ladder. Rua reached the helicopter first, then Rio and then Asuka. "Almost there, Yuya! Almost there!"
"I know!" Yuya answered. He kept as they passed a building and standing on the roof was a man wearing a military uniform with the symbol of Academia on his chest. His face was concealed by a purple helmet. "Academia."
He saw the man pulled out a knife and he hurled it at the ropes that connected the ladder above Yuya. Either the knife was really sharp or the man had a strong arm as the ropes were snapped and Yuya fell.
"Yuya!" Jonouchi reached out to Yuya.
Yuya tried to reach but he was already falling into the darkness of the Commons Area. He then remembered his grappling gun and fired it at the helicopter but another knife cut the rope and Yuya fell.
The man looked down at where Yuya fell. "It's time to begin my hunting game."
