Chapter 13: Clash of Kings! Reiji vs Jack!

D-Wheel Factory

A few days have passed since the Tag Duels and now the Dimension Guardians and Lancers were at the D-Wheel Factory where Reiji, Reira and Tsukikage waited for them.

"Thank you all for coming." Reiji said.

"Hey, check out the sweet rides." Sawatari was amazed by the D-Wheel lineup in front of them.

"These will be the D-Wheels that you will be using to participate in the Friendship Cup." Reiji revealed. "I've also implemented the Field Magic to incorporate the Dimension Gates into the Riding Duel format, you will see it during my Duel with Jack Atlas tonight."

"I see you only made them for your Lancers." Jonouchi snarked as he noticed there were fewer D-Wheels than people.

"That's because I worked on yours." Everyone turned to see Bruno, his face and clothes covered with soot. "Hey, guys!"

"Bruno!" Yuya smiled.

"Who?" Rin asked.

"He's a super tech genius in the Commons." Crow answered. "In fact, hey Bruno did you ever finish what I asked."

"Yes, thanks to this new engine, this along with yours and the Dimension Guardians D-Wheels are almost complete, I just need Yuya's D-Wheel so we can install them." Bruno nodded.

"Here you go." Yuya summoned his D-Wheel from his Duel Disk.

"What did you ask him?" Rin asked.

"Oh, you'll see." Crow smiled.

"By using Yuya's D-Wheel as a reference, I was able to build D-Wheel's that used the Planetary Particle design. I was even able to implement it into Rua's D-Board. Now he can keep up to the speed of a D-Wheel." Bruno explained as engineers started installing the engines.

"Really? That is so cool!" Rua said.

"Behold!" Bruno showed off seven D-Wheels and one D-Board. Three of them were Yuya's, Aki's and Crow's.

The fourth one was a sturdy D-Wheel that was designed like Red-Eyes Black Dragon with a black tail design as well as head lights that resembled the dragon's red-eyes.

The fifth one was a streamlined dark blue D-Wheel that had white angel wings on the side.

The sixth one was a sturdy white D-Wheel with blue ice crystal accessories on the side and the wings of a sylph on the back.

Rua's D-Board went through a major change from going to a simple blue and white board to being designed like a mini gold and silver Power Tool.

And the last D-Wheel was a hybrid model that was a hornet motif, adorned with several sharp gold and white elements with black stripes.

"That's yours, Rin." Crow pointed to the last D-Wheel.

"My own…D-Wheel!" Rin's eyes sparkled with excitement. She quickly ran up to him. "Amazing! The style, the design." She revved the engine. "Ah, the engine."

"Whoa, slow down, Rin." Crow calmed her down.

"You also have Riding Suits, of course, I also got some for the Lancers." Bruno said. "These suits will protect you in case of an accident."

"Come on, let's try them out." Jonouchi said.

Everyone, except Reiji, Reira and Tsukikage changed into their Riding Suits which was form fitting for each of them.

Yuya's outfit was a predominately red jumpsuit with a secondary black trim and green markings, and with padded knees. The chest of his jumpsuit is black. He also wore a jacket that was blue that flared out above his hips as well as black-backed white gloves.

Jonouchi's outfit was a green jumpsuit with a black chest, gray pads and blue lining. His helmet was yellow like his hair.

Rua's outfit was a blue jumpsuit with a with a red chest, red pads and black lining. He had his blue helmet with visor

Gongenzaka had a gray jumpsuit gray with green markings and yellow lining. He had a brownish-orange helmet with a visor.

Sawatari had a yellow jumpsuit with a gray chest portion, white pads, and a teal lining along with a blue helmet and visor.

Shun had a dark blue and green color jump suit with his Resistance scarf around his neck and a purple helmet.

Dennis had an orange and gray jumpsuit with blue lining and a maroon helmet.

Crow didn't have a jumpsuit and he only made a simple addition with a brown racing leather jacket.

"I think we look good." Sawatari admired himself in the mirror.

"This isn't a fashion show, you should take this seriously." Gongenzaka scolded.

"Oh, lighten up, Gon-chan. The tournament hasn't even started yet." Dennis said.

"Instead of scolding others, you should focus on what you need to do first." Shun added.

"Hey, guys. What do you think?" Rin came out with Yuzu, Ruri and Serena.

Rin was wearing a predominantly white one-piece short-sleeved jacket-miniskirt combination with light pink shoulder pads and hot pink markings, in addition to back pockets; long white gloves with light pink elbow pads that extend over her elbows, hot pink pants, and white knee-length form-fitting boots with light pink kneepads. She had a white and pink helmet.

Yuzu's outfit was similar to Yuya's, a predominately dark red jumpsuit with a secondary white trim and blue markings with padded knees, a gray chest area but no jacket. She had a light blue helmet.

Serena wore a form-fitting maroon jumpsuit with white, and light red markings and purple joint-pads, in addition to purple gloves and a purple helmet with a blue visor.

Ruri had a form fitting yellow jumpsuit with white, and purple markings with white joint-pads, along with white gloves and a yellow helmet with her Resistance scarf tied around her waist.

"This is a bit embarrassing." Ruri blushed.

"Hey, if you got it flaunt it." Serena said proudly.

"I don't want to." Yuzu tried avoiding eye contact.

"You all look good." Yuya smiled.

"Hey, come one, everybody's ready!" Aki walked out of the changing room. She wore a form fitting motorcycle red suit that showed her cleavage, along with an enclosed helmet, and high-heeled boots.

"I don't want to!" Rio complained.

"We feel silly!" Asuka agreed.

"Come on, do it for the team!" Aki put her hands on her waist.

"Fine." Both Asuka and Rio came out with their faces red.

Asuka wore a form fitting motorcycle blue suit that only zipped up to her cleavage with a white helmet and high-heeled boots.

Rio wore a form-fitting white suit with blue trims and purple markings with a dark blue helmet.

"I feel stupid." Rio moaned. "And this suit is riding up on me."

"That's normal, you'll get used to it." Aki said.

"Ahem." Reiji cleared his throat. "You all have practice runs at the stadium until the exhibition match. There you will also see the format of the Friendship Cup."

"You're not coming to practice with us?" Sawatari asked.

"My role is to set the bar for the team in the match against Jack Atlas. With my strength, the Synchro Dimension will start giving us the benefit of the doubt about the Dimensional War." Reiji said.

"Yeah, that's not gonna happen." Crow said. "Look pal, I'm sure you're strong from where you come from, but Jack is different."

"I have access to all the summon methods, no matter what the king has up his sleeve, it's not enough to combat my power." Reiji declared.

"Oh, I'm sorry, did you create the Pendulum? Forgive me for saying that I created it, I must be spouting lies. Let's hear it for the great prodigy, Reiji Akaba!" Yuya sarcastically stated.

"I know you're mocking me." Reiji said.

"Oh no I'm very supportive of you. Sure, you can handle Jack, just like you handled the Battle Royal really well." Yuya countered. "Look you're only in the Exhibition Match, the Friendship Cup. So, unless you miraculously win against the King, I call the shots for the team. Deal?"

"Fine." Reiji fixed his glasses. "But, if you do anything to jeopardize our chances of an alliance, I'm sending you back to Standard with no way to travel dimensions again."

"You can't stop me, Akaba." Yuya shook his head. "I found a way here without your help, and I can do it again, you want to know why? Because unlike you, I have friends. So, stop acting high and mighty when you're just a sad pathetic boy with daddy issues. Get over yourself!" Yuya walked away.

As Yuya walked away Reiji clenched his fist.

Neo Domino Racing Course

Multiple D-Wheels were racing down different roads as the group looked at the board for the upcoming preliminaries.

"So, the preliminaries are in a league format, huh?" Rua looked at the board.

"Twenty-four teams in total are entering the tournament and they're divided into eight blocks with three teams each. And only the top team in each block will be allowed to continue in the main tournament, where it goes into the tournament format." Aki explained.

"So, in other words, only the teams that win both their matches will be allowed to move on to the main tournament. That's obvious as only the main stars can go into the main event." Sawatari smiled.

"But it's not gonna be easy." Crow said. "Our opponents are Team Unicorn and Team Paris. They're both well-known Riding Duel teams thanks to their respective aces, Andre for Team Unicorn and Sherry LeBlanc of Team Paris."

"Oh man, we got tough opponents right from the start." Dennis sweated a bit.

"It doesn't matter if they're strong. We have to Duel with everything we have in order to win the Friendship Cup." Shun scoffed.

"And winning the tournament will allows us to face Jack Atlas, and he is the key to changing Neo Domino City." Yuya nodded.

"It'll be a tough battle but we can do it." Rin said.

"Team Guardians, it's time to begin your practice! Report to Lane B!" An announcement was made in the hall.

"Alright, team, it's practice time!" Yuya rallied everyone.

"Yeah!" Everyone cheered.

Race Course – Lane B

"System check…" Bruno typed on the computer. "Everything is in the green…all clear!" The gate to the Duel Lane opened. "Go!"

In order was Crow, Aki, Rua, Yuya, Rin, Serena, Yuzu, Ruri, Shun, Dennis, Sawatari, Jonouchi, Asuka, Rio and last Gongenzaka drove out of the gate and onto the lane.

"Everyone, go for it!" Amanda cheered.

"Race circles around the competition!" Frank shouted.

"Go faster!" Tanner smiled.

"Heh, that Bruno is definitely a genius." Crow smiled as he felt his D-Wheel run smoothly.

"The speed and power are much greater than before." Aki revved her engines.

"Hey, Yuya, check this out!" Rua rode up the side walls and did a 360 spin before landing back on the lane. "Cool, right?"

"Oh yeah, super cool!" Yuya smiled.

"I'm really doing this…I'm riding my own D-Wheel!" Rin thought. "Woohoo!" Rin cheered as she went faster and rode side by side with Yuya.

"That roller skating drill really worked. My balance is greater than before." Serena made a sharp turn easily.

"I can't believe we're really gonna Duel on these things." Yuzu thought as she was still shaking a bit from nerves. "But…it does feel good, this wind."

"I'm on top of the world!" Dennis declared as he stood on the seat of his D-Wheel.

"But you can't touch this!" Sawatari zoomed past Dennis making him almost lose his balance.

"Oh, it's on!" Dennis went faster to catch up to Sawatari.

"How you girls doing back there?" Jonouchi called from behind.

"It's not that bad." Asuka admitted.

"What's this button do?" Rio saw a yellow button and pressed it.

"Initiating maximum overdrive." Rio's D-Wheel said.

"Wait, no disengage, disengage!" Rio pressed the yellow button again.

"Maximum overdrive cancelled." Rio D-Wheel said.

"Oh, thank God…" Rio sighed in relief. "Note to self: Ask Bruno what each button does."

"How are you doing, Ruri?" Shun rode up to his sister.

"Honestly, I feel great." Ruri admitted. "Maybe we should bring the others here to try it out. You know, once the war is over."

"Sounds like a plan." Shun smiled.

Meanwhile, Gongenzaka was struggling with his D-Wheel. "This all feels wrong. I have to move my body just to make simple turns, this goes against everything I believed in."

"But if you can't win against the first opponent, you're out. Even if you are my friend, we have to win, whatever it takes." Yuya's warning echoed in his mind.

"Even if the rules are different, I will stick to my Dueling, I'll prove that my Steadfast Dueling can work in this dimension!" Gongenzaka thought.

The sun was already setting and the stadium lights began to turn on. "Team Guardian's your practice time is almost over. Please head over to the gate."

"Alright, boys and girls, follow me!" Crow led everyone to the gate where they all parked their D-Wheels.

"Oh man, that was fun. Now I see why you like this, Rin." Ruri said.

"Now all that's left is the Exhibition Match and then the tournament." Aki said.

"Hey, Yuya isn't the feel of the stadium getting you pumped up." Sawatari looked around the massive stadium. "The suspense, the drama, the girls…" Sawatari saw a couple of cheerleaders in revealing outfits. Some of them waved a Sawatari and he made a call me gesture while holding a sign that had his phone number.

"Don't get ahead of yourself, Sawatari." Yuya advised. "This isn't the Maiami Championship, nobody knows us. The crowd will either like us or hate us."

"Oh, they're definitely gonna hate us." Aki said.

"But not like too much, right?" Yuzu asked hopefully.

"Get ready to be treated like dirt and scum." Rin smiled. The others didn't like where this was heading.

Duel Palace

"We're here at the Duel Palace which towers over the center of Neo Domino City, where more than 200,000 spectators have gathered, and are waiting for the start of the Friendship Cup with burning passion!" Melissa announced as a giant hologram of herself projected in front of the crowd and fireworks.

"Tune in with me, Melissa Claire, at the City's peak of Dueling, the Friendship Cup, and enjoy tonight's festivities along with me!" Melissa cheered and so did the audience. "I'm so glad I was chosen to do such an important gig!"

"Wow, the stadium sure is full even though it's just an Exhibition Match." Asuka looked around.

"That's because the King only Duels the winners of the Friendship Cup." Crow answered. "The purpose of the Exhibition Match is to showcase the King's power and to ignite the participants fighting spirit."

"Mr. Tokumatsu did it for so many years and this year it's Jack's turn." Rua said.

"Hey, Yuya. You Dueled Jack before being brought to the Council, right?" Rin asked.

"Yeah." Yuya answered. "But it was cut short because of the Crimson Dragon. He has a great power hidden in him. Even his monster, Red Demon's Dragon Scarlight had a hidden power."

"Ladies and gentlemen! It's time to begin today's main event! The Duel King that's Neo Domino's pride and joy! The man himself, Jack Atlas, will kick off the tournament with a special match!" The audience cheered and chanted Jack's name.

"Indeed, Jack Atlas is the symbol of the Friendship Cup! His name alone joins the hearts and minds of the Tops and Commons together! But wait, he's not the only King…" Melissa said getting the audience to stop chanting.

"The opponent that will face our King is in fact the King of another dimension! Travelling all the way from the Standard Dimension, where there is multiple summon methods other than Synchro, the Standard King, Reiji Akaba!" Melissa announced.

Emerging from the tunnel was Reiji Akaba in a sturdy black D-Wheel. He wore a black jumpsuit with his red scarf flowing behind him and a black helmet. He raced around the track before stopping at the starting line.

"Hey, is he really that strong?" Rio asked. "You beat him before didn't you."

"I did…but barely." Yuya admitted.

"Well, it doesn't matter how strong he is, he's no match for Jack, even if he does have different summoning methods." Crow commented.

"What do you mean?" Shun asked.

"Jack doesn't Duel using logic or understanding. He Duels with pure instinct. He can change the rhythm of a Duel on the dot and destroy a combo with just one draw." Crow answered. "It was that Dueling that had earned him the right to be King."

"Now, it's time to introduce our King!" Melissa shouted. "Everyone, bow before his strength and majesty! Like a soaring dragon, he ascended through the road of success above his fellow Commons, climbing to the summit of Duelists as a local hero and a living legend! Allow me to introduce him! Our own Duel King, Jack Atlas!"

Smoke covered the gate and Jack flew out of the gate and into the air. He landed on the track and did a 360 spin and raced along the track as the audience cheered. He then raised one finger in the air. "There is only one King! And it's me!" Jack declared.

"Atlas-sama!"

"Jack! Jack! Jack!"

Jack soon made it to the starting line and stopped next to Reiji. "Everyone, I have a question for you all! Can I defeat this opponent in one turn?!" Jack asked.

"You sure can! Beat that punk in a single turn!" A Commons cheered.

Jack raised his fist in the air. "The King's Duel must be entertainment for everyone!" He raised a finger. "Turn 1: I will take the initiative! After the curtain has been raised, we'll move on to Turn 2: The opponent will have time to enjoy the spotlight! And finally Turn 3: I will showcase the immense difference between our power." Jack had three fingers.

"He's planning to defeat him in three turns?" Jonouchi questioned.

"Is that even possible?" Gongenzaka wondered.

"We will now start the Duel by activating the Field Magic! It should be noted that the rules have been revised to incorporate all of the available summoning methods. The same summon methods that the Dimension Guardians used in their Raid Duel with the Director of Security! Field Magic: Dimension Highway!" Melissa activated the Field Magic.

"Duel Mode: On!" The Field Magic activated and the track glowed and appearing at various points of the track were checkpoints labeled Dimension, Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, Ritual and Pendulum.

"Did he incorporate the Dimension Gates as part of the Riding Duel format?" Dennis looked at the field.

"Looks that way." Serena said.

The countdown clock appeared and it started counting down. "Riding Duel…" Melissa said and the clock hit 0. "Acceleration!" Both Reiji and Jack sped off.

"Duel!" Reiji and Jack declared.

"The first turn is—" Jack was about to complete the corner when he got hit from behind and he lost his balance.

"You should take your opponent seriously!" Reiji zoomed past Jack and completed the corner first.

"Oh my! Reiji Akaba forced Jack Atlas to lose balance and take the first turn from our King!" Melissa commented.

"Boo!"

"That's dirty!"

"Play fair!"

The audience all booed for Reiji. "Actually, it's not against the rules." Melissa uttered but her voice was drowned out.

"She's right, the opponent can be as rough as they want." Crow agreed.

"My turn! Draw!" Reiji drew his card. "I activate the Speed Spell: Over Boost! This card lets me gain 4 Speed Counters, but at the End Phase it becomes 1!"

Reiji SC: 0→4

"Next, by using one Speed Counter, I activate the Continuous Magic: Forbidden Contract with the Devil King! With its effect, I Special Summon the Level 7 DDD Ultimate Wisdom King Chaos Apocalypse (2700, LV: 7, PS: 4) with its monster effect negated!" A black and silver fiend that released purple aura appeared.

Reiji SC: 4→3

"Then by using the other effect of Forbidden Contract with the Devil King, I can perform a Fusion Summon using Chaos Apocalypse as material without a Fusion Magic Card! I fuse Chaos Apocalypse and the DD Lamia in my hand!" Both monsters entered the spiraling vortex.

"Chaotic king who watches over this world's fate. Drink the blood washed away by time, and become a dragon slaying hero! Fusion Summon! Be born! Level 8! DDD Cruel Dragon King Beowulf (ATK: 3000, LV: 8)!"

"And Reiji Akaba starts off with a powerful Fusion Monster!" Melissa announced.

"The DD Lamia that was sent to the Graveyard can be Special Summoned back to the field by sending a Contract card on my field to the Graveyard! I send Forbidden Contract with the Devil King to the Graveyard to Special Summon the Tuner Monster, DD Lamia (ATK: 100, LV: 1)!" A small snake fiend appeared.

"A Tuner…then you can…" Jack narrowed his eyes.

"That's right. I can use all the summoning methods!" Reiji declared. "I use another Speed Counter to activate the Magic Card: Treasure Cards of the Heavens! Both players must draw until they have six cards in their hands!" Reiji drew four more cards while Jack simply drew one.

Reiji SC: 3→2

"Using the Scale 1 DD Magical Savant Galilei and the Scale 10 DD Magical Savant Kepler, I set the Pendulum Scale! With this, I can simultaneously summon monsters from Levels 2 to 9!" Reiji's two savants appeared on the field.

""Grand power that shakes my very soul, arise within me and become a new light that rends the darkness. Pendulum Summon! Come before me, my monsters!" Three lights came out of the portal.

"From the Extra Deck! DDD Ultimate Wisdom King Chaos Apocalypse (ATK: 2700, LV: 7)! And from my hand, DDD Magical Savant Thomas (ATK: 1800, LV: 8, PS: 6)! And DDD Oblivion King Abyss Ragnarok (ATK: 2200, LV: 8, PS: 5)!" Reiji summoned back Chaos Apocalypse and brought out Abyss Ragnarok and a new Magical Savant.

"My word! Reiji Akaba summoned three monsters and one of them was Chaos Apocalypse that was used for a Fusion Summon. I see, so Pendulum Monsters go to the Extra Deck when they leave the field." Melissa nodded in understanding.

"I'm Tuning my Level 7 Chaos Apocalypse with my Level 1 DD Lamia!" DD Lamia became a single green ring and Chaos Apocalypse flew through it and became seven stars.

"Climb over the corpses of heroes, carrying your bloodstained blade! Synchro Summon! Be born! Level 8! DDD Cursed King Siegfried (ATK: 2800, LV: 8)!" Reiji brought out a fiend with white hair and gray armor with a long and heavy sword.

"Now I Overlay my Level 8 Oblivion King Abyss Ragnarok and Magical Savant Thomas!" Both monsters turned into purple lights and entered the spacelike portal ahead of Reiji.

"When two suns rise, the horizon of a new world shall open up! Xyz Summon! Appear and come forth, Rank 8! DDD Twin Dawn King Kali Yuga (ATK: 3500, RNK: 8)!" Reiji summoned his Xyz Monster from his second Duel with Yuya.

The audience was stunned and silent. Melissa almost dropped her microphone. "I can't believe it…the first turn, Reiji Akaba has summoned three powerful monsters!"

"That's an impressive lineup." Rio admitted.

"I use one more Speed Counter to activate the Continuous Magic: Contract with the Exclusive Seal!" Reiji played another card.

Reiji SC: 2→1

"As long as this card is on the field, my opponent cannot Special Summon monsters with the same card type as the monsters I have on my field! I control a Fusion, Synchro and Xyz monster! I have sealed your summonings!" Reiji shouted.

"N-No way, Reiji Akaba has sealed away the King's Synchro Summon! The King can do next to nothing!" Melissa panicked.

"Atlas-sama!" The women cried while all of the Tops and Commons were stumped.

"I set one card and end my turn!" Reiji finished his turn. "And since my Speed Counters are at 1, Over Boost won't reduce my Speed Counters."

"Reiji Akaba has 3 powerful monsters! Furthermore, his Contract has prevented the King from Special Summoning from the Extra Deck! What will you do, King?" Melissa asked.

"My turn!" Jack was about to draw.

"Continuous Trap: King's Judgement! This card inflicts 1000 points of damage during my opponent's Standby Phase for every DDD monster I have on my field! Now, Draw Jack Atlas!" Reiji ordered.

"Draw!" Jack drew his card.

Reiji LP: 4000, Hand: 0, SC: 1→2
Jack LP: 4000, Hand: 7, SC: 0→1

"King's Judgement inflicts you 3000 points of damage since I control three DDD monsters!" A powerful lightning bolt struck Jack.

Jack LP: 4000→1000

"No matter what you do, it's over!" Reiji said. "Beowulf inflicts piercing damage and during my Standby Phase, I can destroy all cards in both of our Magic and Trap Zones. Kali Yuga can also destroy all Magic and Trap cards and Siegfried can negate the effects of Magic and Trap Cards! I have complete domination!"

"So, that's the kind of King you are." Jack closed his eyes. "You have to have absolute authority and expect everyone to follow your orders regardless of future consequences. You make me sick!" Jack sped up and rammed into Reiji hard, almost making him lose balance.

"A true King becomes a shining beacon for others to follow in his example! If I, an ordinary Common can become King of Neo Domino City, then anyone can become King! But, if you want to achieve a goal, you must not falter, nor must you forget the hopes and dreams of the people who believe in you!" Jack shouted.

"Ladies and gentlemen! While my prediction was not true, I must ask you again! Can I defeat this opponent in one turn?" Jack asked the crowd again in full confidence.

"Of course, you can!"

"You're the King!"

"Atlas-sama! Fight!"

"Jack! Jack! Jack! Jack!"

"Amazing, even though his movements are limited, Jack is not backing down! Go, King Jack Atlas!" Melissa cheered along.

"I almost feel sorry for that guy." Crow crossed his arms. "Watch, closely guys. Jack is gonna show what made him King."

"If I control no monsters, I can Special Summon Red Gargoyle (ATK: 1200, LV: 4) from my hand!" A fiery gargoyle appeared.

"Next, I summon the Tuner Monster, Red Resonator (ATK: 600, LV: 2)!" A small fiend of fire appeared.

"I activate Red Gargoyle's effect! When a Red monster is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned, I can make the Level of that monster become double it's current Level! Red Resonator's Level is 2! Double that is 4!"

Red Resonator (LV: 2→4)

"Did you forget?! My Contract with the Exclusive Seal prevents you from Synchro Summoning!" Reiji shouted.

"By using a Magic Card on my opponent's field as a cost, I can Special Summon the Tuner Monster, Magic Eater (ATK: 1200, LV: 3)!" A fiend with a large mouth ate Reiji's Magic Card. "Your combo has been broken." Jack smiled while Reiji gritted his teeth.

"As expected of Jack Atlas, he managed to break Reiji Akaba's card combo and can now Synchro Summon!" Melissa cheered and so did the audience.

"Here it comes." Yuya knew what monster was coming.

"I'm Tuning my Level 4 Red Gargoyle with my now Level 4 Red Resonator!" Red Resonator played its tool and became four green rings and Red Gargoyle flew through them and became four stars.

"The heaven and earth shall tremble before the king's might. Let the power of the one and only supreme ruler be carved into your soul! Synchro Summon! The savage soul, Red Demon's Dragon Scarlight (ATK: 3000, LV: 8)!" Jack's ace monster appeared.

At that moment, the marks on Jack's, Yuya's, Rin's, Crow's, Aki's and Rua's arms lit up. "This mark…" Jack turned to the audience and he saw Yuya and the two locked eyes. "Let me show you my power!" Jack smiled.

"Red Demon's Dragon Scarlight's effect! Once per turn, I can destroy as many Special Summoned monsters on the field with Attack Points equal or less than this card and for each one, the opponent takes 500 points of damage! Absolute Power Flame!" Scarlight slammed his fist into the ground and Beowulf and Siegfried were both destroyed and Reiji was damaged.

Reiji LP: 4000→3000

"But I still have Kali Yuga…" Reiji grunted. "Your dragon is weaker than it."

"Is that so?" Jack asked. "When I have Red Demon's Dragon Scarlight on the field, I can Special Summon the Tuner Monster, Scarlight Nova (ATK: 0, LV: 1) from my hand!" Jack summoned a devil like fairy to the field.

"Behold the power of a king!" Jack emitted red aura. "Burning Soul! I'm Double Tuning my Level 8 Red Demon's Dragon Scarlight with my Level 3 Magic Eater and Level 1 Scarlight Nova!"

"He's what?!" Crow and Aki were shocked.

"Double Tuning?!" Rua and Rin exclaimed.

"King and Devil, reach the apex of power! Take the power of the Crimson Dragon and give birth to a new creation! Synchro Summon! Appear! Level 12! Red Demon's Dragon Monarch (ATK: 4000, LV: 12)!" Scarlight had evolved to where he wore blood red armor and the flames around him started to melt the asphalt of the track.

"Hot! Hot!" Melissa felt herself burning up. "The King's passion has created a Level 12 monster that used two Tuners instead of one! Is this the King's maximum potential?!" The audience were also getting hot but they were also getting excited.

"The dragon is literally melting everything." Yuzu wiped her sweat.

"Jack…how much stronger did you get in one year?" Crow was shocked that his friend got stronger as the King.

"Red Demon's Dragon Monarch, once per turn, can destroy all cards on the opponent's field and for each one, inflict 500 points of damage! Absolute Power Meteor!" Red Demon's Dragon Monarch raised its claw and a huge meteor appeared and it hurled it towards Reiji's cards and destroyed them.

"Four cards were destroyed; therefore, you take 2000 points of damage!" Jack shouted. Reiji flinched as bits of the meteor scratched him.

Reiji LP: 3000→1000

"Furthermore, Red Demon's Dragon Monarch gains 500 Attack Points for every Tuner Monster in my Graveyard! I have 3 so it gains 1500 Attack Points!"

Red Demon's Dragon Monarch (ATK: 4000→5500)

"You bring shame to the title of King! Be gone from my sight! Red Demon's Dragon Monarch! Direct Attack! Infernal Crimson Burning Soul!" Red Demon's Dragon Monarch charged straight towards Reiji with intense flames and struck Reiji and send him flying in the air as he screamed in pain before crashing on the track while his D-Wheel melted.

Reiji LP: 1000→0

"He did it!" Melissa cheered. "The winner of the Exhibition Match was obviously our King, Jack Atlas!"

"Jack! Jack! Jack!" The audience cheered as Jack did a victory lap around the arena before stopping his D-Wheel and getting off. He looked at the direction of Yuya and the others and pointed to the sky.

"Challengers of the Friendship Cup! I will wait for you at the summit! So, overcome your obstacles and face me with your full power!" Jack shouted.

Yuya narrowed his eyes and looked to see Reira and Tsukikage with the medical staff taking Reiji away on a stretcher.

"So, that's the Duel King." Rin uttered.

"Jack Atlas." Yuya said.
