Since I have Labor Day off, I might try to do another chapter tomorrow, but I won't make a promise that I'll upload that day. We'll have to see.

Chapter 19: The Falcon vs The Chevalier

Duel Palace – Team Guardians vs Team Paris

"If you are just joining us now, we are now in the last Duel between Team Guardians and Team Paris. If Shun Kurosaki can defeat Sherry LeBlanc, then Team Guardians will automatically advance to the main tournament! However, if Sherry defeats Shun, they have a chance to enter the main tournament if they defeat Team Unicorn." Melissa announced.

"Hey, not saying that we're gonna lose, but what happens if Team Unicorn defeats Team Paris?" Serena asked.

"Then we enter a three-way Battle Royal Riding Duel." Bruno answered. "We each pick one Duelist to represent us and whichever Duelist wins will have their team advance to the main tournament."

"That won't happen." Rio walked back to the group with her arm in a sling.

"Rio, shouldn't you be resting?" Ruri asked.

"And miss a Duel featuring Shun Kurosaki, not a chance." Rio answered. "I want to see the power of the strongest Duelist in the Spade Branch."

Shun and Sherry rode side by side. "Sherry, I'm not against you having a grudge against Roget, but you don't have to stoop down to his level to get revenge." Shun spoke.

"I'm not stooping down to his level." Sherry answered. "That man has made too many unforgivable sins. Even if it means giving up my moralities, I will kill Roget! And to do that, I will use whatever methods I have to use!"

"Sherry…" Shun uttered.

"Now, let's begin!" Sherry declared.

"Duel!" Sherry and Shun declared.

"My turn! Draw!" Sherry drew her card.

"I summon Holy Knight's Spearholder (ATK: 800, LV: 2) in Attack Position!" Sherry summoned a small warrior with a spear. "Battle! Spearholder! Direct Attack Shun Kurosaki!" Spearholder charged with the spear and it hit Shun.

Shun LP: 4000→3200

"And Sherry immediately starts with an assault on Shun! Even though they're just starting their own Duel, they are allowed to attack since we are way beyond the first turn!" Melissa explained.

"Since I took Battle Damage, I can Special Summon this monster from my hand! Come! Raid Raptors – Scar Vulture (ATK: 1800, LV: 4, PS: 3)!" Shun summoned a Pendulum Raid Raptor.

"I set one card and end my turn!" Sherry finished.

"My turn! Draw!" Shun drew his card.

"I set half of the Pendulum Scale with the Scale 2 Raid Raptors – Relentless Eagle!" Shun placed a Pendulum Monster that appeared on his right and it was a red eagle with black markings.

"Battle! Scar Vulture, attack Holy Knight's Spearholder!" Scar Vulture charged head on.

"I activate my Trap Card: Floral Shield! It negates your monster's attack and I draw one card." Sherry drew one card as a flower shield stopped Scar Vulture's attack.

"That shield won't stop me! I activate Relentless Eagle's Pendulum Effect! Once per turn, when a Raid Raptors monster on my field has its attack negated, by reducing its Attack Points in half, I can launch a Direct Attack!" Shun revealed. Relentless Eagle gave Scar Vulture some extra speed at the cost of power.

Scar Vulture (ATK: 1800→900)

"Go! Scar Vulture! Direct Attack!" Shun shouted and Scar Vulture went through the Floral Shield and struck Sherry in the back, making her wince in pain.

Sherry LP: 4000→3100

"I set two cards and end my turn!" Shun finished his turn. "At the End Phase, Relentless Eagle's Pendulum Effect ends and Scar Vulture's Attack Points return to normal!"

Scar Vulture (ATK: 900→1800)

"They seem equal for now." Aki observed.

"Yeah, now let's see who will turn the tide first." Crow nodded.

"My turn! Draw!" Sherry drew her card.

"I summon Swift Horse of the Flower Knights (ATK: 400, LV: 3)!" Sherry summoned a horse in armor. "When Swift Horse of the Flower Knights is successfully summoned, I can draw one card from my deck!" Sherry drew another card.

"Shun Kurosaki, you disappoint me!" Sherry said.

"What?" Shun perked up.

"This isn't your full power! This isn't even half of it! Are you looking down on me?!" Sherry glared behind towards Shun.

"I never hold back in my Duels! I always fight with everything I've got!" Shun answered. "And my power is not my own, it's the power of my friends!"

"Power of your friends?" Sherry asked.

"That's right! Even though I didn't acknowledge them at first, even though I saw some of them as my enemy, they stuck by my side and where willing to risk their own lives as we share a common goal! To stop the Fusion Dimension!" Shun answered.

"That thinking has made you weak!" Sherry bellowed and she rammed into Shun making him lose control.

"Shun!" Ruri cried out.

"I'll drag your true strength out with this card!" Sherry revealed the card she drew. "I use one Speed Counter to activate the Magic Card: Fusion!"

"What?!" Shun's eyes widened.

Sherry SC: 7→6

"The monsters that I'll fuse are Swift Horse of the Flower Knights and Holy Knight's Spearholder!" The spiraling vortex appeared behind Sherry and her two monsters entered the vortex.

"Horse that serves the knights of flowers! Spear knight that destroys enemy's shields! Merge together and become a tool for my revenge! Fusion Summon!" Sherry put her hands together. "Come forth! Level 6! Centaur Mina (ATK: 2200, LV: 6)!" Sherry brought out a centaur that was a woman who had a long sword and shield.

"You have a Fusion Monster?!" Shun exclaimed.

"I told you! For my revenge, I will use whatever it takes, even the enemy's methods!" Sherry answered.

Shun narrowed his eyes before recalling that Kaiser also revealed that he had a Synchro and Xyz monster despite being from the Fusion Dimension.

"Battle! Centaur Mina, attack Scar Vulture!" Centaur Mina charged at the vulture.

"I activate my Trap Card: Adversity! When a monster on my field is targeted for an attack and it has less Attack Points than the attacking monster, my monster is not destroyed, I take no battle damage and it gains 1000 Attack Points!" Shun revealed his card.

"Centaur Mina's monster effect activates! Once per turn, it can negate the activation of a Trap Card and reset it on the field!"

"What?" Shun gasped. Centaur Mina ran over Shun's card and it reset.

"The battle continues! Go! Centaur Mina! Graceful Blade!" Centaur Mina destroyed Scar Vulture and Shun took damage.

Shun LP: 3200→2800

"I set one card and end my turn!" Sherry finished. "Now, Shun Kurosaki! Show me your power! Show me the anger as you face my Fusion Monster!"

Shun glared at the Fusion Monster with anger. "My turn! Draw!" Shun drew his card.

Sherry LP: 3100, Hand: 3, SC: 6→7
Shun LP: 2800, Hand: 2, SC: 3→4

"With the already set Scale 2 Raid Raptors – Relentless Eagle and the Scale 7 Raid Raptors – Spy Sparrow, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Shun set his scale. "With this, I can simultaneously summon monsters from Levels 3 to 6! Pendulum Summon! Flock together and appear!" Two lights came out of the portal.

"From the Extra Deck, Raid Raptors – Scar Vulture (ATK: 1800, LV: 4, PS: 3)! And from my hand, Raid Raptors – Double Wing Duck (ATK: 2200, LV: 6, PS: 5)!" Shun brought back Scar Vulture and a new Raid Raptor monster that had double wings.

"I activate Dimension Highway's effect! I pay 1000 Life Points and pass through the Xyz Gate!" Shun passed through the Xyz Gate. "I make all monsters on my field have the same Level as a monster I choose! I choose the Level 6 Double Wing Duck!"

Shun LP: 2800→1800
Scar Vulture (LV: 4→6)

"Double Wing Duck is counted as two materials when it's used for an Xyz Summon! I Overlay my Level 6 Scar Vulture and my Level 6 Double Wing Duck counted as two!" Double Wing Duck turned into two purple lights and Scar Vulture turned into a single purple light and they entered the spacelike portal.

"Prideful falcon. Spread your wings, dyed in the blood of heroes, and charge through the path of revolution! Xyz Summon! Appear! Rank 6! Raid Raptors - Revolution Falcon (ATK: 2000, RNK: 6, OVU: 2)!" Shun brought out Revolution Falcon.

"Battle! Revolution Falcon, attack Centaur Mina! When Revolution Falcon battles a Special Summoned monster, that monster's Attack and Defense Points are reduced to 0!" Revolution Falcon ignited its wings and Centaur Mina lost her strength.

Centaur Mina (ATK: 2200→0)

"Go! Revolution Falcon! Revolutional Air Raid!" Revolution Falcon flew into the air and dropped missiles towards Centaur Mina.

"I activate my Trap Card: Fleur Guard! One monster on my field isn't destroyed in battle!" Sherry revealed her card. Centaur Mina weakly raised her shield to block the missiles.

"But you still take damage!" Shun reminded Sherry and the missiles hit near her and she got knocked off balance for a bit.

Sherry LP: 3100→1100

"At the end of the Battle Phase, Centaur Mina's Attack Points return to normal." Centaur Mina got her strength back.

Centaur Mina (ATK: 0→2200)

"I end my turn!" Shun finished his turn.

"It's hard to tell who has the lead in this Duel." Rin looked at the stats.

"Shun has the lead in Life Points, but Sherry still has the stronger monster and can stop one of Shun's Trap cards from activating." Yuya looked at the field.

"It's amazing that both of them are giving everything they've got." Aki admitted.

"Unfortunately, Sherry doesn't see it that way." Ruri said. "She thinks Shun is holding back by not Dueling with anger."

"My turn! Draw!" Sherry drew her card.

Shun LP: 1800, Hand: 0, SC: 4→5

"You'll regret not facing me with your true power! I summon the Tuner Monster, Fleur Synchron (ATK: 400, LV: 2)!" Sherry summoned a small Synchron shaped like a flower.

"I'm Tuning my Level 6 Centaur Mina with my Level 2 Fleur Synchron!" Fleur Synchron turned into two green rings and Centaur Mina flew through them and became six stars.

"The body born from the speed of light! It's time for the revolution! Bring me victory! Synchro Summon! Sparkle! Fleur de Chevalier (ATK: 2700, LV: 8)!" Sherry brought out a female knight with a long sword.

"Amazing! Sherry used her Fusion Monster as material to bring out a Synchro Monster!" Melissa commentated.

"When Fleur Synchron is used to Synchro Summon, I can Special Summon one Level 4 or lower Normal Monster in my hand! I Special Summon Apprentice Knight (ATK: 1000, LV: 2)!" Sherry brought out a female knight.

"Then, I use a Speed Counter to activate the Equip Magic: Fleur Armor! I equip it to Fleur de Chevalier!" A flower armor appeared on Fleur.

Sherry SC: 8→7

"Battle! Fleur de Chevalier, attack Revolution Falcon!" Sherry ordered her monster to charge.

"Did you forget! When Revolution Falcon battles a Special Summoned monster, its Attack and Defense Points are reduced to 0!" Revolution Falcon unleashed flames from its wings.

"The Equip Magic: Fleur Armor protects the Equip Monster from Magic, Trap or Monster Effects by releasing one monster on my field! I release Apprentice Knight! Fleur strike Revolution Falcon down!" Sherry ordered her monster.

"I activate Adversity!" Shun played his set card again.

"Useless! Fleur de Chevalier's effect! Once per turn, it can negate the activate of your Magic or Trap cards and destroy it!" Fleur cut down Shun's Trap and then cut Revolution Falcon damaging Shun.

Shun LP: 1800→1100

"Not bad." Shun complimented. "But that effect of yours can't be used again! I activate my Trap Card: Raptor's Spirit! This card Special Summons a Raid Raptors Xyz Monster from my Graveyard with its effects negated! Come back! Revolution Falcon (ATK: 2000, RNK: 6)!" Shun brought back Revolution Falcon.

"That's right, Shun Kurosaki! Use that anger to fight back!" Sherry smiled. "Use your desire for revenge to defeat me!"

"I don't want to defeat you! I want to save you!" Shun argued.

"There's nothing to save me from!" Sherry got angry again.

"If my words and my cards can't reach you, then I'll use the cards of my comrades!" Shun looked at the set card Rio left him. "Give me your power, Rio!"

"I use a Speed Counter to activate the Quick-Play Magic: Rank-Up Magic – Resistance Force! This card allows me to Rank-Up one Xyz monster on my field that was Special Summoned during my opponent's turn and Special Summon an Xyz Monster that is two Ranks higher!"

Shun SC: 5→4

"What?!" Sherry gasped.

Revolution Falcon flew into the sky. "Dauntless falcon. Hoist up the flame of anger, become the flash of light that burns the land to ash! Rank Up Xyz Change! Soar! Rank 8! Raid Raptors - Satellite Cannon Falcon (ATK: 3000, RNK: 8, OVU: 1)!" Shun brought out Satellite Canon Falcon.

"Amazing! Shun has brought out a powerful Xyz Monster during his opponent's turn!" Melissa commentated.

"Damn it." Sherry cursed.

"I was able to pull this off thanks to Rio." Shun said. "I still haven't forgiven Academia, but I have started forgiving the people of the Fusion Dimension! And I was able to do that thanks to the comrades I made in each dimension!"

"Did you hear that? We're comrades." Dennis started tearing up as he hugged Sawatari.

"Get off me." Sawatari growled.

"Sherry, the hole in your heart won't go away even if you kill Roget! Just as my friends saved me, I want to save you!" Shun shouted.

"I activate Dimension Highway's effect! By reducing my Speed Counters by 7, I draw one card!" Sherry drew another card and she smiled.

Sherry SC: 7→0

"I set one card and end my turn!" Sherry set her card.

"My turn! Draw!" Shun drew his card.

Sherry LP: 1100, Hand: 1, SC: 0→1

"I activate Satellite Cannon Falcon's effect! By using one Overlay Unit, I can reduce one monster's Attack Points by 800 for every Raid Raptors monster in my Graveyard! In my Graveyard, I have Scar Vulture, Double Winged Duck, and Revolution Falcon! Therefore, Fleur de Chevalier losses 2400 Attack Points!" Satellite Cannon Falcon fired lasers at Fleur de Chevalier and made it extremely weak.

Fleur de Chevalier (ATK: 2700→300)

"What an effect! If Shun attacks and it connects, then the Duel is over and Team Guardians will move on to the main tournament!" Melissa shouted and the audience cheered.

"I don't want to hurt you, Sherry. But if this is the only way to stop you from seeking revenge, then I have to attack! Battle! Satellite Cannon Falcon, attack Fleur de Chevalier! Eternal Avenge!" Satellite Cannon Falcon was ready to take off into the sky.

"Heh, thank you, Shun Kurosaki." Sherry smiled.

"What?" Shun asked.

"Your Satellite Cannon Falcon is Dark Attribute, correct? That means it's the perfect material for my strongest monster of revenge!" Sherry revealed. "I use my Speed Counter to activate the Quick-Play Magic: Super Fusion!"

Sherry SC: 1→0

"Super Fusion?!" Shun exclaimed.

"No way!" Serena shouted.

"How does she have it?!" Dennis gasped.

"Wh-What's wrong?" Yuzu was surprised at how Serena and Dennis were panicking.

"Super Fusion is an exclusive card from the Fusion Dimension." Serena explained. "Only the best of Academia has a copy of that card!"

From his seat, Roget watched the Duel. "Oh, so that's who took it. Oh well. I'll get it back later." Roget brushed it off.

"I took this card without Roget knowing. What better what to destroy him than his own card!" Sherry smiled. "Due to Super Fusion's effect, by discarding one card from my hand to the Graveyard, I can perform a Fusion Summon using monsters on either player's field as materials!"

"You're gonna use Satellite Cannon Falcon for a Fusion Summon?!" Shun's eyes widened.

"I discard the Magic Card: Z-One from my hand!" Sherry revealed her last card.

"My lady! That card!" Mizoguchi panicked.

"Sherry, that card is still a prototype!" Misty shouted.

Sherry ignored them and discarded the card. "And now, I Fuse my Fleur de Chevalier with your Satellite Cannon Falcon!" A powerful spiraling vortex appeared and it sucked Satellite Cannon Falcon forcefully while Fleur de Chevalier entered willingly.

"Knight of flowers, falcon of revolution! Become one and create the ultimate monster to satisfy my desires! Fusion Summon!" Sherry put her hands together. "Appear, the embodiment of my anger! Vengeance de Chevalier (ATK: 3500, LV: 10)!" Sherry summoned a female knight in dark armor with a long sword covered in blood.

"Wh-What? That monster…is scary…" Melissa was really disturbed by the monster Sherry brought out.

"She did the same thing as Shun and summoned a powerful monster on his turn." Yuya crossed his arms.

"And now, I activate the effect of the Z-One card that I placed in my Graveyard! When this card is in my Graveyard, I can select one card from my hand, deck or Graveyard and banish it and then activate this card as the one that I banished! I banish the Field Magic: Wasteland of War!" The field around the arena transformed into a wasteland where there were weapons all around.

"This field…" Shun looked at the field and it reminded him of Heartland.

"Wait, I thought she had to pay a Speed Counter to play a Magic Card." Rua said.

"Could it be because it was activated from the Graveyard?" Asuka wondered.

"That's one of the exceptions." Bruno answered. "Since the Graveyard isn't controlled by the Dimension Highway's effect, the activation of Magic Cards in the Graveyard doesn't require Speed Counters."

"It's still your turn, Shun Kurosaki!" Sherry reminded Shun.

"I set one card and end my turn." Shun finished his turn.

"My turn! Draw!" Sherry drew her card.

"It's over! Battle! Vengeance de Chevalier! Direct Attack Shun Kurosaki!" Vengeance charged in.

"I activate my Trap Card!" Shun played his set card.

"Useless! Vengeance negates and destroys all Magic and Trap cards the opponent activates on the field!" Vengeance pierced through the card and headed for Shun.

"Then how about the Graveyard! I activate the effect of the Trap Card that you just destroyed! Raid Raptors Spirit Shield! By banishing a Raid Raptor's monster in my Graveyard, I can reduce the damage equal to the banished monster's Attack Points! I banish Satellite Cannon Falcon and reduce the damage by 3000!"

"Don't think that will save you!" Sherry shouted as Vengeance's sword stabbed Shun in the stomach and he grunted as blood started coming out.

Shun LP: 1100→600

"Wh-What? The damage is…" Shun winced.

"Shun!" Ruri cried out in worry.

Vengeance removed the sword and returned to her master. "Don't think this is over! I activate the Field Magic: Wasteland of War's effect! When I successfully inflict battle damage, by discarding one card in my hand, my opponent losses half their Life Points! Bullet Barrage!" Sherry discarded her card and the weapons on the battlefield aimed at Shun and fired and he winced as bullets pierced his body.

Shun LP: 600→300

"Oh man, she's completely lost it." Jonouchi pointed out.

"Shun." Ruri got worried.

"I end my turn!" Sherry finished. "Do you see that? This is the power that will kill Roget! The power to annihilate any enemy who comes against me!"

"I'm afraid this Duel is over. With Vengeance de Chevalier's effect, Shun's can't activate any Magic or Trap cards on the field. And with no cards in his hand, even if he draws a monster, if Sherry draws another monster with 300 or more Attack Points…" Melissa said grimly.

"I'll give you a chance to surrender! Face it, you can't win!" Sherry declared.

"Yeah, I can't win." Shun answered before he smiled. "Is what I would say if I was fighting alone."

"What?" Sherry was shocked that Shun was smiling in this situation.

"My turn! Draw!" Shun drew his card.

"From my Graveyard, I activate the other effect of the Rank-Up Magic – Resistance Force! When I draw a Rank-Up Magic during my Draw Phase, I can target one card on the field and have its effects negated, I negate Vengeance de Chevalier's effect!" A seal appeared on Vengeance.

"Now you can't negate my Magic or Trap cards! I use a Speed Counter to activate the Magic Card: Rank-Up Magic – Phoenix Double Force! This card allows me to resurrect one Xyz Monster in my Graveyard and then Special Summon a Raid Raptors Xyz Monster that has double the rank of the monster that was used as Xyz Material!" Shun revealed.

"Double the rank?!" Sherry's eyes widened.

"Revive once more! Revolution Falcon!" Revolution Falcon returned and then flew into the sky.

"Falcon of my very soul! With your heart of unwavering conviction and deep affection, become my sturdy last defense and descend! Rank-Up Xyz Change! Appear! Rank 12! Raid Raptors - Final Fortress Falcon (ATK: 3800, RNK: 12, OVU: 1)!" Shun brought out his strongest Xyz monster.

"Oh my! It's a Rank 12! That has to be the highest Rank an Xyz Monster can get!" Melissa smiled.

"That's Shun's strongest monster." Ruri said.

"It's super cool." Dennis admitted.

"I activate Final Fortress Falcon's effect! By using one Overlay Unit, I can return all banished Raid Raptors monsters to my Graveyard! I return Satellite Cannon Falcon to the Graveyard! Battle! Final Fortress Falcon, attack Vengeance de Chevalier!" Final Fortress Falcon attacked and destroyed her.

"I won't lose! I won't lose! I activate Wasteland of War's other effect! By paying half my Life Points, I reduce Battle Damage to 0 and Special Summon the monster that was destroyed in battle this turn!" The weapons on the field fired at Sherry and she screamed in pain but a shield protected Vengeance.

Sherry LP: 1100→550

"Stop, Sherry! Can't you see that you're destroying yourself!" Shun shouted.

"Shut up! You're supposed to understand me! You would do anything to save your sister, wouldn't you?! I'm doing this for my parents!" Sherry shouted back.

"What's the point of avenging your parents if you die in the process!" Shun shouted. "Your parents are sealed in cards, they're not dead. I'm sure there's a way to bring them back. But if you die before they can be brought back, do you think they would be happy even if you did take down Roget!"

"Why wouldn't they?! I've taken out the man who betrayed their trust!" Sherry shouted.

"What kind of parent would be happy if their daughter died?!" Shun bellowed, making Sherry's eyes widened. "Your parents would be upset at Roget, but they have something more important to keep them living for the future! You! But if you're gone, then what's the point?! They would have to live with the pain of not having a child anymore, is that what you want for them?!"

"I…I…" Sherry was now wavering.

"And not just them…I would be sad too!" Shun admitted. "Even though you hurt me, this Duel has been the best I have ever had! I want to have more Duels with you!"

"Shun…" Sherry uttered.

"Final Fortress Falcon's other effect! When it destroys a monster in battle, by banishing a Raid Raptors Xyz Monster in my Graveyard, I can have Final Fortress Falcon attack once more. Go! Destroy Vengeance!" Final Fortress Falcon destroyed Vengeance again and Sherry took damage.

Sherry LP: 550→250

"I'm ending this now! I use Final Fortress Falcon's effect to banish another Raid Raptors Xyz Monster! Final Fortress Falcon! Direct Attack!" Final Fortress Falcon unleashed its attack on Sherry.

Sherry lowered her head and didn't even bother to look behind her anymore. It was over. "Sherry…" She heard a voice in her head.

"Huh? Father?" Sherry thought.

"Sherry, listen to me. In the future, you will be faced with tough trials. But you must not falter. You must live without letting your sense of faith and justice waver. And don't be afraid to let others into your heart. By having friends, they will make the hardships easier." Sherry's father thought.

"Friends…" Sherry uttered as the attack hit her.

Sherry LP: 250→0

Winner: Team Guardians

"It's over!" Melissa shouted. "Overcoming the monsters of revenge with their tenacity is Team Guardians!" Serena's, Rio's and Shun's pictures appeared with win under them and the audience cheered.

On the roof, Divine smiled as he saw the result. "As expected of the Guardians, but now it's time for the true stars to arrive on the stage. 3…2…1…Detonate!"

Explosions then occurred all over the track as Shun and Sherry were still heading to the pits. "What?" Shun tried to avoid the explosions.

"Explosions!" Sherry quickly avoided one but was heading for another one and she screamed.

"Sherry!" Shun quickly sped up and grabbed Sherry off her D-Wheel before it was engulfed by the explosion.

"Shun!" Sherry was surprised.

"Hold on!" Shun ordered and Sherry put her arms around his waist as Shun avoided the explosions on the track by riding up the side wall and flipping over back on the pit.

"Wh-What?! There were bombs on the track?!" Melissa was in shock.

"Stay down!" Yuya shouted as he pulled Rin down with him on the ground as the bombs continued to go off.

"My lady!" Mizoguchi cried out.

"Sherry!" Misty shouted.

"Now, Shinji! It's your turn." Divine smiled.

Tops Area

A Security man was watching the checkpoint to the Tops when he saw an army of Commons heading towards them. He quickly got his Duel Disk and stood his ground. "I won't let you pass!"

"Don't bother with a Duel! Take him out with force!" Shinji ordered. All the Commons charged towards the poor man and started beating him up with metal pipes, wooden planks and anything they had as a weapon.

The Commons started raiding the Tops Area and started destroying everything in sight. They threw cocktails into businesses; they raided food from restaurants and even found a warehouse of Security Weapons.

"Wait, there's no need for this." A Tops man said to a Commons.

"Oh, there's a need!" The Commons hit the man with the metal pipe.

"Dear!" His wife cried.

"Daddy!" His daughter cried.

"That's it my comrades!" Shinji shouted in a megaphone. "Overthrow these bastards and show them who's really in charge of Neo Domino!"

Security tried their best to fight back against the revolutionists, but they were quickly outnumbered and overpowered by their own weapons and were now being treated as prisoners.

The Tops were also subjected to humiliation. The men were beaten without mercy and the women were forced to be slaves. The children and a few of the elderly were spared since they couldn't fight back, but they were still pushed out of their homes and watch the chaos unfold.

Security Headquarters

"Send Riot Officers to sections A, F and J and reroute the officers stationed in the Commons to secure the border!"

"I understand, we're sending officers to your location!"

"This is bad! Squad D has been overthrown by the Commons!"

"Sir, this is getting out of control." Ushio said. "They're all over the place and our men are getting outnumbered."

"Sir, the weapons warehouse in section G has been taken over by the Commons!" Mikage reported. "We need orders!"

"The answer is simple." Roget said. "Those revolutionists are being fueled by their anger. Use that anger against them and crush them of their spirits. Initiate Protocol 7."

"Yes sir!" Ushio and Mikage saluted.

Friendship Cup – Preliminary Highways

Two teams were facing each other when the revolutionists entered the area. "This area belongs to the Commons! All Tops will feel our wrath!" The Commons broke through the Tops Area and unleashed their anger on the Tops.

"What in the world?" A participant was surprised to see this. Then more D-Wheels entered the track and surrounded him and his opponent. "What are you all doing?"

"The Friendship Cup belongs to us!" They rammed into the Duelist and knocked him off his D-Wheel.

"I'm out of here!" The other participant started to drive off.

"Don't think you're getting away!" A revolutionist played a card and a fireball launched itself and hit the Friendship Cup participant.

"A Psychic Duelist!" The participant tried to steady his balance but he was knocked off and his D-Wheel exploded.

Duel Palace – Team Guardians

The last of the explosions finally stopped and Shun and Sherry arrived back at the pits.

"Shun!" Ruri ran to her brother with the others behind her.

"My lady!" Mizoguchi ran with Misty behind him.

Both Shun and Sherry panted from the explosions. "Are you okay?" Shun asked Sherry. He then saw Sherry shaking with fear in her eyes. "This must be her first time facing actual death outside of a Duel. At least in a Duel, you know you can fight back, but this method…is just like Academia."

Shun tried to get off his D-Wheel but Sherry still had a tight grip on his waist. "Don't leave me…don't leave me…" Sherry trembled.

Shun's eyes became calm and he held onto Sherry's hands. "I'm not going anywhere. I won't abandon a comrade."

"B-Breaking news!" Melissa shouted. "Commons have broken into the Tops territory and are now terrorizing the people of the Tops and have caused accidents on the highways holding the other preliminary matches! Everyone, please remain in your seats for your own safety!"

"What kind of maniac would go to such lengths?" A Commons asked.

"I don't know. I just came to see a good match." Another Commons answered.

"Mama, are the Commons gonna attack us?" A Tops kid asked.

"Don't be ridiculous." A Commons man answered the kid. "We're in the sanctuary of Duels and the King is here. No way are we gonna attack you guys."

"Then you fools are on the wrong side!"

"That voice." Aki recognized that voice and Divine appeared on the screens.

"Divine…" Yuya glared.

"Commons, you have the opportunity to overthrow these pathetic Tops. You outnumber them, you can take the power that you rightfully deserve!" Divine smiled.

"Don't screw with me, Divine!" Jack appeared on the screen.

"Oh, hello Jack. How long has it been since we've last met?" Divine asked.

"Stop what you're doing right now!" Jack ordered. "I will not allow you to defile the Friendship Cup that I formatted to strengthen the bonds of the Tops and Commons!"

"The words of a traitor!" Shinji appeared.

"Shinji!" Crow's eyes widened.

"Jack, you had the opportunity to give us the power that we deserved when you became King! You were one of us, but instead you sold yourself out to those Tops bastards!" Shinji warned.

"I did not sell myself to the Tops! I am a Common at heart and I've always cared about the Commons, that's why I became King! If I, an ordinary Common can achieve it, then so can anyone in Neo Domino! I just wanted to be a symbol of change!"

"Sorry, Jack. But we are gonna be the symbols of change!" Divine smiled.

"People of Neo Domino City! It's time to begin a revolution!" Shinji declared.

And that's the end of the match between the Guardians and Team Paris. I hope you liked the Duel between Shun and Sherry. I gave Sherry a new Fusion Monster since she did use Fusion in 5D's as well as the Super Fusion card to show how far she was willing to go to get to her revenge because she is very determined. Now we are going into the Revolution Arc.

To those who are curious as to how Jack knows Divine, in episode 65 of ARC-V there was a bit that showed Jack defeating Divine.
