Chapter 23: Defeat Revenge! Hope vs Despair!
Main Pillar – Top
Yuya, Rin and Rua made it to the top of the pillar and saw Shinji and Divine facing Gongenzaka, who stood protectively in front of the machine. Gongenzaka was clearly exhausted while Shinji and Divine only had a few scratches.
"Gongenzaka!" Yuya called out.
"Yuya…I'll defeat them both right now!" Gongenzaka thought as he raised his right hand. "I'm Dark Tuning my Level 1 Superheavy Samurai Soulpeacemaker with my Level 9 Dark Tuner, Superheavy Commander Oro-Chi!" Oro-Chi disappeared and became nine stars and entered Soulpeacemaker's body and one of the stars consumed Soulpeacemaker's one star and emerging was eight dark stars.
"Focus! Focus on winning and nothing else!" Gongenzaka narrowed his vision to focus on Shinji and Divine.
"Anarchist with a vengeance against government, unleash your anger and destroy this monarchy! Dark Synchro! Appear! Superheavy Anarchist Naginata (DEF: 3500, LV: -8)!" Gongenzaka summoned a dark Superheavy monster with a pole weapon with a blade.
"Naginata's effect activates! When this monster is Special Summoned, it negates the effects of all monsters on the field and destroys them!" Gongenzaka revealed.
"Damn it…Master's Top and Ultima's Top's effect only work if there's a target. If there's no target, we can't negate the effect." Divine thought.
"And for each monster destroyed, the opponent takes 800 points of damage!" Gongenzaka revealed.
"The Machine Emperors are five separate monsters…that's 4000!" Shinji's eyes widened.
"You're not stopping me!" Divine shouted. "I activate the Trap Card: Ultima Burst! When Machine Emperor Ultima is destroyed by battle or card effect, the opponent takes 1000 points of damage for every monster it absorbed! I absorbed five of your Synchro Monsters, so you take 5000 points of damage!" Divine shouted.
Both Gongenzaka's and Divine's card's clashed, creating a huge explosion that made Shinji and Divine skid back while Gongenzaka was blown towards the edge.

"Gongenzaka!" Yuya rushed and grabbed his friend's hand but the platform that Yuya was on was beginning to collapse due to so much weight on it. "Hang on, buddy. I got ya."
Yuya then started slipping from his spot but was held back by Rin and Rua who helped him try to pull Gongenzaka up, but the platform was about ready to give in to the weight.
Gongenzaka looked at the situation and he closed his eyes. "Yuya…I'm sorry." Gongenzaka apologized. "I'm sorry for not being a good teammate."
"Everyone makes mistakes Gongenzaka. It's easy to deny that but it's hard to accept it. But it makes you stronger and you showed that today." Yuya grunted.
"Even so, I failed to do my part…I failed to be of use to the team…" Gongenzaka closed his eyes. "I can't drag you down anymore." Gongenzaka loosened his grip on Yuya's hand.
"Gongenzaka, no!" Yuya shouted as he tried to tighten his grip but Gongenzaka gave in and slipped out and he fell. "Gongenzaka!" Yuya shouted as he saw Gongenzaka disappear into the smoke.
Both Rin and Rua were horrified by what they just saw while Yuya was stumped that his own best friend just gave up instantly. "Gongenzaka…" Yuya closed his eyes.
"We haven't lost yet!" Divine started running to the main controls.
"You bastard!" Yuya quickly got in front of Divine and blocked him from the controls. Rin and Rua quickly joined Yuya while Shinji joined Divine. "Can't you see what you're doing is wrong?!"
"You're making everyone afraid of you! They won't respect you that way!" Rin pointed out.
"Do you think I care about getting respect?" Divine questioned.
"What?" Rua gasped.
"I don't give a damn of what people think of me. So long as I get what I want, I'll be satisfied even if the entire world hates me!" Divine smiled.
"You sick freak." Rin insulted. "And you're just gonna let him go on with it?" Rin turned to Shinji.
"All that matters to me is that the Commons overpower the Tops." Shinji said.
"But your revolution is hurting the Commons too!" Rin argued. "It's hurting Crow, Frank, Amanda and Tanner! Are you saying you don't care what happens to them?"
"I wouldn't be standing here if I did." Shinji said harshly.
"Nothing you say can change our mind. Because unlike the rest of you…" Divine smiled wickedly. "We have nothing left to lose!" Divine activated his Duel Disk and Shinji followed suit.
"Come on, we're stopping them here!" Yuya activated his Duel Disk. "For Kazama and Gongenzaka!"
"For Grandpa and Ruka!" Rua activated his Duel Disk.
"For Crow and all of our friends!" Rin activated her Duel Disk.
"We definitely will not lose!" The trio declared.
"Field Magic: Dimension Gates." Rin's Duel Disk created the Field Magic.
"Duel!" Yuya, Rin, Rua, Shinji and Divine declared.

"The first turn is mine! Draw!" Divine drew his card. "I summon Ultima Core (ATK: 0, LV: 1)!" Divine summoned a white core to the field. "Then, I set three cards and end my turn!"

"Guys, be careful. If you destroy that monster by a card effect, it will automatically summon the Machine Emperor." Rin advised Yuya and Rua.
"Then we get rid of it by battle. I'll go next! My turn! Draw!" Rua drew his card. "I summon Deformer Radicassen (ATK: 1200, LV: 4) in Attack Position!" Rua brought out a red boombox that became a robot. "Radicassen's effect while in Attack Position is that it can attack twice during the Battle Phase! Go! Radicassen, attack Ultima Core!" Radicassen charged.
"I activate my Trap Card: Twin Vortex! This card activates when an opponent's monster attacks, I destroy one monster on my field and another monster on your field!" Divine revealed and both Ultima Core and Radicassen were destroyed.
"Since Ultima was destroyed via card effect, I can Special Summon these monsters from my hand, deck or Graveyard! Machine Emperor Ultima Infinity (ATK: ?, LV: 1)! Ultima Top (ATK: 500, LV: 1)! Ultima Attack (ATK: 1500, LV: 1! Ultima Guard (DEF: 1200, LV: 1)! And Ultima Carrier (ATK: 800, LV: 1)!"
"Combine together! Machine Emperor Ultima!" The white robot parts joined together and created a large machine emperor with a long sword.
"Unknown Attack Points?" Yuya observed.
"I set two cards and end my turn!" Rua finished.

"My turn! Draw!" Shinji drew his card. "I summon Master Core (ATK: 0, LV: 1)!" Shinji summoned a yellow core.
"Next, I activate the Magic Card: Chaos Blast! I send the top 3 cards of my deck to the Graveyard and destroy one Level 4 or lower monster on the field!" Shinji discarded three cards. "I destroy Master Core!" Master Core was destroyed.
"When Master Core is destroyed via card effect! I can Special Summon these monsters from my hand, deck or Graveyard! Machine Emperor Master Infinity (ATK: 0, LV: 1)! Master Top (ATK: 500, LV: 1)! Master Attack (ATK:1300, LV: 1)! Master Guard (DEF:1300, LV: 1)! And Master Carrier (ATK: 800, LV: 1)!" Shinji summoned five machine parts.
"Combine together! Machine Emperor Master!" A giant yellow Machine Emperor. "Machine Emperor Master's Attack Points are the same as my Life Points! I have 4000, so Master's Attack Points are 4000!"

"Battle! Machine Emperor Master…" Shinji eyed the three Duelists. "Attack Rin!" Master aimed its gun at Rin.
"I won't let you!" Rua shouted. "I activate my Trap Card: Deformer Scramble! When an opponent declares a Direct Attack while I control no monsters, I can negate that attack and Special Summon one Deformer monster from my hand!" Rua grabbed a card from his hand. "Come, Deformer Boardon (DEF: 1800, LV: 3) in Defense Position!" Rua summoned a skateboard monster.
"Grr…stupid brat. I set one card and end my turn!" Shinji finished his turn.

"Rua, you did it again." Rin smiled at her partner.
"Making things difficult for the enemy is my specialty." Rua saluted.
"Then let me assist with that. My turn! Draw!" Rin drew her card. "I summon the Tuner Monster, Wind Witch – Snow Bell (ATK: 100, LV: 1)!" Rin summoned her bell monster.
"When I have a Wind Witch monster on the field, I can Special Summon Wind Witch – Prism Bell (ATK: 900, LV: 3)!" A small witch wearing prism earrings appeared on the field.
"I activate Prism Bell's effect! Once per turn, I can increase a Wind Witch monster's Level by one up to three times! I raise Snow Bell's Level three times!"
Snow Bell (LV: 1→4)
"I'm Tuning my Level 3 Prism Bell with my now Level 4 Snow Bell!" Snow Bell chimed and turned into four green rings and Prism Bell flew through them and became three stars.
"With your beautiful wings that change along with the season, strike down the enemies that pollute your territory! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Wind Witch – Cyclone Dragon (ATK: 2500, LV: 7)!" Rin summoned her dragon to the field.
"At this moment, Ultima's effect activates!" Divine smiled. "When an opponent summons a monster from the Extra Deck, Ultima absorbs it!" Ultima fired glowing ropes that aimed for Cyclone Dragon.
"What?!" Rin gasped. The ropes wrapped around Cyclone Dragon and pulled him into the robot.
"Then, Ultima's Attack Points become double of the total Attack Points of the monsters it has absorbed!" Divine revealed.
Ultima (ATK: ?→5000)
"5000 Attack Points!" Rua panicked.
"Cyclone Dragon…" Rin was stumped that her monster was taken from her so easily.
"You fools! These are the strongest of the Machine Emperors! You have no chance against us when you couldn't even defeat one before!" Divine declared
Rin hated to admit it but what Divine said was the truth. She couldn't defeat Wisdom even with her friends teaming up with her. "I set three cards and end my turn." Rin finished.

"Don't worry, Rin." Yuya stood next to her. "I'll get Cyclone Dragon back."
"Yuya…" Rin uttered.
"My turn! Draw!" Yuya drew his card. "Using the Scale 2 Synchro Magician and the Scale 6 Odd-Eyes Porcupine, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Yuya set his scale with Synchro Magician appearing along with a brown porcupine with red and green eyes.
"With this, I can simultaneously summon monsters from Levels 3 to 5! Swing, pendulum of my soul! Draw an arc of light across the ether! Pendulum Summon! Come forth! My comrades!" The giant pendulum swung and it opened the portal and two monsters emerged.
"Level 3! Odd-Eyes Jackal (ATK: 1100, LV: 3, PS: 5)! Level 4! Odd-Eyes Panther (ATK: 1400, LV: 4, PS: 3)!" Yuya summoned a jackal and panther with dichromatic eyes.
"I activate Odd-Eyes Porcupine's Pendulum Effect! Once per turn, for every Beast-type monster on my field, I can negate the effects of a monster on the opponent's field until the End Phase! I have two, so I negate the effects of Machine Emperor Master Infinity and Ultima Infinity!" Porcupine fired its quills and it hit the gems of the center of the Machine Emperors. "With their effects negated, their Attack Points are reduced to 0!"
Machine Emperor Master/Ultima (ATK: 4000→0/ATK: 5000→0)
"Next, I activate Synchro Magician's Pendulum Effect! I can change one monster on my field into a Tuner Monster! I change Jackal into a Tuner Monster! I'm Tuning my Level 4 Odd-Eyes Panther with my Level 3 Odd-Eyes Jackal!" Jackal turned into three green rings and Panther flew through them and became four stars.
"Spread those wondrous and beautiful wings, and strike down your enemies at the speed of light! Synchro Summon! Appear now! Level 7! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon (ATK: 2500, LV: 7)!" Yuya summoned Clear Wing.
"Battle! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, attack Machine Emperor Master!" Clear Wing flew into battle.
"You negated Master's Infinity's effect, but the other parts still have their effects! I activate Master Guard's effect! Once per turn, it can negate on monster's attack!" Shinji used the effect to negate Clear Wing's attack.
"I figured you would do that!" Yuya smiled.
"What?" Shinji gasped.
"From my hand, I activate the Quick-Play Magic: Dichroic Mirror! When a monster effect activates while Clear Wing is on the field, I can negate that effect and any Monster Cards that are in the Magic and Trap Zone are returned to their respective owner's field!" Yuya revealed a card in his hand.
"What?!" Divine gasped.
Clear Wing used its Dichroic Mirror to made Master lower its guard and then struck it hard, destroying it and giving Shinji major damage.

Clear Wing then charged at Machine Emperor Ultima and grabbed on to it and pried open its chest and roared. Inside Cyclone Dragon roared back and broke free from his bonds and emerged out of the emperor and back to Rin's side.
"Cyclone Dragon!" Rin smiled.
"I told you I get him back." Yuya smiled.
"Divine, you bastard!" Shinji growled. "You said these Machine Emperors were unbeatable, yet why was mine destroyed so easily!" Divine didn't answer.
"I know the weaknesses of the Machine Emperors by witnessing it first-hand. Honestly, Roget and Security can use them much better than you." Yuya admitted.
"Fine, I'll defeat you with my own cards! I activate my Trap Card: Bee Force Assemble! This card allows me to Special Summon one Bee Force Synchro Monster from my Graveyard, but I can't attack or use its effect! Appear! Bee Force - Azusa the Spirit Bow (ATK: 2200, LV: 5)!" Shinji summoned his Synchro Monster.
"I set one card and end my turn! At the End Phase, if I have no Beast-type monsters on my field, Odd-Eyes Porcupine is destroyed. And Ultima's Attack Points return to normal." Yuya's porcupine was destroyed.

"My turn! Draw!" Rua drew his card. "I summon the Tuner Monster, Deformer Lighton (ATK: 200, LV: 1)!" Rua brought out his flashlight.
"I'm Tuning my Level 3 Deformer Boardon with my Level 1 Deformer Lighton!" Lighton turned into a single green ring and Deformer Boardon flew through it and became three stars.
"Twins that make the music blast through your eardrums! Appear and showcase the power of teamwork! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 4! Deformer Earhon (ATK: 1200, LV: 4)!" Rua brought out a pair of earphones and transformed into a boy and a girl robot.
"1200 Attack Points?" Divine questioned. "It's not even worth using my monster's effect."
"You'll regret that! From my hand, I activate the Equip Magic: Double Tool D&C! This card's effect depends on whose turn it is! Since it's my turn, the equipped monster gains 1000 Attack Points!"
Deformer Earhon (ATK: 1200→2200)
"Battle! Deformer Earhon, attack Machine Emperor Ultima! Super Sonic Boom!" Both robots played a loud music blast.
"If Ultima doesn't have an Equipped Monster, it can't be destroyed in battle and its Attack Points are 0!" Divine gritted his teeth.
"But you take damage!" Rua smiled. Divine covered his ears as the music hurt him and he took damage.
Divine LP: 4000→1800
"I end my turn!" Rua finished. "During my opponent's turn, D&C's effect changes so that the opponent can only attacked the equipped monster and it's Attack Points return to normal."
Deformer Earhon (ATK: 2200→1200)
"Damn it, to think we're being cornered by brats." Divine grumbled.
"It's because you were being cowards!" Yuya argued. "Your revolution has no meaning unless you're trying to accomplish something!"
"What are you saying? This Revolution is about crushing the Tops!" Shinji declared.
"But you're also attacking the Commons!" Rin shouted. "You're not giving them a choice in the matter and assumed everyone would back you up!"
"Shut up! The Revolution will succeed! I'll do it myself if I have to!" Shinji put his fingers on his deck.

"My turn! Draw!" Shinji drew his card. "I activate the Magic Card: Hand Obliteration! All of us must discard our hands and draw cards equal to the number we discarded!" Shinji discarded his three cards and drew three more. Divine drew two while Rua and Rin drew one. Yuya couldn't draw since his hand was empty.
"Next, I activate the Magic Card: All-Out Rebellion! If my opponent controls a monster, I can Special Summon Level 4 or lower Bee Force monsters from my Graveyard equal to the number of monsters the opponent controls! There're four monsters on your field in total, so I Special Summon the three Bee Force – Pin the Bullseye (ATK: 200, LV: 1)! from my Graveyard!" Shinji summoned three Pins.
"I activate their effects! I can inflict 200 points of damage to my opponents! I use them to target you three!" Shinji pointed at Yuya, Rin and Rua. The three Pins fired their stingers at them and they took damage.

"You two, okay?" Yuya asked.
"Yeah." Rin nodded.
"I'm not done yet!" Shinji shouted. "I'm Tuning my three Level 1 Pin the Bullseyes with my Level 5 Azusa the Spirit Bow!"
"That Synchro Monster is also a Tuner?!" Yuya's eyes widened.
Azusa became five green rings and the three Pin the Bullseyes flew through them and became three stars altogether.
"All power, come together! Carry the flames of resentment in your hands, and fire the arrows of rebellion! Synchro Summon! Level 8! Bee Force - Hama the Evil-Conquering Bow (ATK: 2800, LV: 8)!" Shinji summoned a large monster with a bow.
"Next, from my hand, I activate the Equip Magic: Revolution Gear! I equip it on to Hama!" Shinji had his monster become equipped with battle gear.
"Battle! Hama, attack Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Hama aimed an arrow at Clear Wing.
"Wait, it's supposed to attack Deformer Earhon!" Rin pointed out, so why was it able to attack Clear Wing.
"Then how about this?!" Rua shouted. "I activate the Continuous Trap: Deformer Bind! While I control a Deformer monster, all Level 4 or higher monsters my opponent controls cannot attack or change their battle positions!" A binding gate appeared in front of the group.
"Useless! The monster equipped with Revolution Gear is unaffected by the effects of Magic, Trap and Monsters!" Shinji declared.
"That's why Double Tool D&C's other effect didn't work before!" Yuya's eyes widened.
"Go! Hama! Destroy Clear Wing!" Hama fired an arrow right through the gate and it hit Clear Wing, destroying her.
"Clear Wing…" Yuya sadly uttered as he took damage.
Yuya LP: 3800→3500
"I activate Hama's effect! Once per turn, it can decrease the Attack Points of an opponent's monster by the amount of damage it has inflicted to the opponent!" An arrow hit Cyclone Dragon, making him weaker.
Cyclone Dragon (ATK: 2500→2200)
"Also, Hama can attack twice per turn! Go, Hama! Destroy Cyclone Dragon!" Hama fired another arrow towards Cyclone Dragon.
"I activate my Trap Card: Winter Tornado! This card prevents my monster from being destroyed in battle!" Rin played her set card.
"Useless!" Divine smiled. "I activate my Counter Trap: Trap Jammer! This negates the activation of a Trap Card and destroys it!" Rin's trap was negated and Hama's arrow hit Cyclone Dragon, destroying him and damaging Rin.

"And now I…" Shinji was gonna use the last card in his hand.
"Reverse Card, Open! Ultima Command! When I have Machine Emperor Ultima on the field, I can target one monster on the field that has battled and have it battle another monster of my choosing! I order Hama to attack Deformer Earhon!" Divine played his set card. Hama fired its arrow at Earhon. The boy went to protect the girl but the arrow pierced through both of them and Rua screamed as he took damage.

"Consider this my way of making it up to you Shinji, now continue your combo!" Divine smiled.
"I didn't need your help." Shinji muttered. "From my hand, I activate the monster effect of Bee Force – Dart the Hunter! If a Bee Force monster I control destroys an opponent's monster in battle, by discarding this card from my hand, I inflict damage to the opponent equal to the destroyed monster's original Attack Points!"
"What?!" Yuya, Rin and Rua gasped.
"Clear Wing Synchro Dragon and Wind Witch – Cyclone Dragon have 2500 Attack Points! And Deformer Earhon had 1200!" Divine smiled.
"Dart the Hunter! Fire!" Shinji discarded the card and the Bee monster appeared and it fired three darts at Yuya, Rin and Rua. The three screamed as they were blown back.

"See that! That's the power that will change Neo Domino! This is the power of my revolution!" Shinji smiled.
"I-It's not over…" Rin declared. "I activate my Trap Card: Lost Star Descent! This card revives a Synchro Monster from my Graveyard in Defense Position! But it's Defense Points are reduced to 0 and its Level is reduced by 1. I revive Wind Witch – Cyclone Dragon!" Rin brought back her dragon.
"You fell for it! I activate my Trap Card: Ultima Scavenge!" Divine played his set card. "When my opponent Special Summons a monster, when I have Ultima on the field, I can absorb that monster as well as two more monsters from the opponent's Graveyard and Extra Deck!"
"What?!" Rin's eyes widened.
"I'll take Cyclone Dragon as well as the Clear Wing Synchro Dragon in Yuya's Graveyard and Power Tool Revolution Dragon from Rua's Extra Deck!" Divine declared.
A portal opened behind Rua and one opened at Yuya's feet and Ultima fired ropes into them and pulled out Clear Wing and Power Tool while a few wrapped around Cyclone Dragon.
"Cyclone!" Rin cried.
"Clear Wing!" Yuya shouted.
"Power Tool!" Rua cried out.
All three of the monsters were dragged into Ultima's stomach and it gained power. "Ultima's Attack Points are doubled the total Attack Points of the monsters it absorbed!"
Ultima (ATK: ?→14,600)
"14,600 Attack Points!" Yuya's eyes widened.
"It's too strong!" Rua trembled.
"That's why this is the ultimate Machine Emperor! It takes your monsters and make their powers its own! We will take the power of the Tops and make Neo Domino City into our vision!" Divine smiled.
Rin fell to her knees and looked at the ground with a frustrated look. "Damn it!" Rin punched the ground. "Why?! Why can't I do anything right?!"
"Rin…" Yuya looked at Rin with concern and Rua was worried too.
"I don't know what Crow saw in you to betray us." Shinji mocked. "You're nothing special, in fact, this whole Duel, your moves have been benefiting us! You do nothing but hold your team back!"
"You bastard…" Yuya growled.
"Leave Rin alone!" Rua argued.
"I'm just telling the truth. And she knows it." Shinji said.
"Damn it…" Rin thought as she started to cry.

Kaiser looked at Shun who was on his knees and trembling. "What's wrong? It's your turn!" Kaiser said. "Didn't you want revenge on Academia?! Don't you want to rend and tear your enemies?! Or you are you just a scared boy?!"
"M-My turn. Draw." Shun shakily drew his card. "Okay, with this card!"
"I activate the Rank-Up Magic – Skip Force! This card allows me to Rank Up an Xyz Monster to a Raid Raptors that is two Ranks higher than the monster used as material! I—"
"Counter Trap: Cyber Reversal! This card negates the activation of an opponent's Magic or Trap Card and destroys it!" Kaiser destroyed Shun's Rank-Up Magic. "And it Special Summons one Cyber Monster from my Graveyard! Revive Cyber Dragon (ATK: 2100, LV: 5)!" Kaiser revived one of his Cyber Dragons.
"Now, there's nothing else you can do. End your turn." Kaiser said.
"I-I…switch Revolution Falcon to Defense Position and end my turn." Shun finished.
Shun LP: 1200, Hand: 0
Kaiser LP: 2500, Hand: 0
"Let me show you the difference between our powers." Kaiser closed his eyes. "My turn! Draw!" Kaiser drew his card.
"It is the second Standby Phase since I activate Time Capsule, so the card I banished is added to my hand!" Kaiser added the card to his hand. "Next, I activate the Quick-Play Magic: Fusion Cancel! I return Cyber Twin Dragon to the Extra Deck and bring back the two Cyber Dragons that were used as Fusion Material!" Kaiser brought back the two Cyber Dragons.
"And now I activate my most trusted card! The Magic Card: Power Bond!" Kaiser showed the card.
"Power Bond?!" Shun's eyes widened.
"This is a special Fusion card that is used for Machine-types! I fuse my three Cyber Dragons!" A spiraling vortex appeared and the three dragons began to fuse.
"Mechanical dragons with the potential for evolution! Merge together and become your ultimate form that shines brightly! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Cyber End Dragon (ATK: 4000, LV: 10)!" Emerging was a large three headed mechanical dragon that roared loudly.
"Cyber End Dragon can inflict Piercing Damage! And due to Power Bond's effect, this card doubles the Attack Points of the Fusion Monster!" Kaiser revealed and Cyber End roared.
Cyber End Dragon (ATK: 4000→8000)
"8000 Attack Points?!" Shun looked at the dragon in fear.
"Anger and rage will only get you so far!" Kaiser said. "Do you know why I was able to survive all my battles?! It's because I was ready to die at any moment! I Dueled with the mindset of being ready to die! In other words, I embrace death! The thrill of victory and the fear of defeat mean nothing to me!"
"He's not afraid of dying…" Shun trembled.
"Battle! Cyber End Dragon, attack Revolution Falcon! Eternal Evolution Burst!" Cyber End Dragon attacked with all three of its heads and Revolution Falcon was destroyed and Shun was blown away.
Shun LP: 1200→0
Winner: Kaiser
Shun laid defeated and Kaiser walked up to him. Kaiser looked down at Shun before walking away. "W-Wait…why aren't you turning me into a card?" Shun weakly asked.
"You're not worth it." Kaiser walked away. "Tell Kaito Tenjo then he's next!"
Shun clenched left fist before moving his hand over his eyes as tears fell down his face.
Yuzu and Asuka vs Darkness
Yuzu LP: 500, Hand: 3

Darkness LP: 4000, Hand: 1
Field: Field Magic: Supreme King's Castle, Evil Hero – Inferno Wing (ATK: 2100, LV: 6), 1 set card.
Darkness smirked as he looked at the shaken Yuzu. "The damage is too much for Yuzu. I have to end this fast."
"My turn! Draw!" Asuka drew her card and she looked at her hand. "I promised myself that I wouldn't use this until Academia was saved, but in order to protect Yuzu…"
"I'll break that promise." Asuka declared. "From my hand, I activate the Magic Card: Fusion! From my hand, I fuse Etoile Cyber and Blade Skater!"
Darkness perked when he heard that. "Etoile Cyber…Blade Skater…"
"Star Dancer! Skater of the ice! Now is the time to combine and become a superstar! Fusion Summon!" Asuka put her hands together. "Appear before us! Cyber Blader (ATK: 2100, LV: 7)!" Asuka brought out a female with skates and wearing a tutu with long hair.
"Cyber…Blader…" Darkness's eyes widened under his mask. "Wha-What's happening to me." Darkness held his head. "Those monsters…Etoile Cyber…Blade Skater…Cyber Blader…I know those monsters…but…who…"
"Big Brother!" Darkness heard the voice of a little girl.
"Next, I activate the Quick-Play Magic: Fusion Cancel! This returns one Fusion Monster on the field to the owner's Extra Deck and Special Summons its Fusion Materials from the Graveyard! Your Dark Fusion only protected you on your turn, so now it's vulnerable!" Asuka declared.
Inferno Wing screamed in pain and she was forced to split apart back into Elemental Hero Feather Man and Burst Lady.
Feather Man (ATK: 1000, LV: 3)
Burst Lady (ATK: 1200, LV: 3)
"Cyber Blader's monster effect is determined by the number of monsters on the opponent's field! Since you have two monsters, Cyber Blader's Attack Points are doubled! Pas de Trois!" Blue aura appeared around Cyber Blader.
Cyber Blader (ATK: 2100→4200)
"Battle! Cyber Blader, attack Burst Lady! Glissade Slash!" Cyber Blader charged.
"I—" Darkness was gonna play his set card.
"Nice move, Asuka!" Darkness eyes widened as he heard his own voice.
"That's my voice…Asuka…" Darkness looked at Asuka. "I know her…she's…"
Cyber Blader struck Burst Lady, destroying her and damaging Darkness and parts of his mask started to crack.
Darkness LP: 4000→1000
Asuka looked at the last two cards in her hand. "It's a risk, but if it goes through." Asuka set them on her Duel Disk. "I summon Cyber Tutu (ATK: 1000, LV: 3)!" Asuka summoned her monster. "I set one card and end my turn!"
Asuka then saw Darkness on his knees, holding his head in pain.
"Hey, is he alright?" Rio wondered.
"Something's wrong." Jonouchi narrowed his eyes.
One of the red lenses on Darkness masked shattered, revealing a brown eye. "Asuka…" Darkness uttered.
Asuka's eyes widened. "Wait a minute…those eyes…no, not just that, his hair. Is that…"
Top of Main Pillar
As Rin kept crying, her Crimson Dragon mark glowed and so did Yuya's and Rua's.
"This…" Rua looked at his mark.
"Damn it…" Yuya and Rua heard Rin's thoughts and saw her memories.
"Is this…Rin's feelings and memories." Yuya looked at Rin.
Road to Martha's
Crow was riding with Frank, Amanda and Tanner when his Dragon Mark glowed. "I was the last one to get a dragon." Crow heard Rin's thoughts and saw Rin's memory of her looking jealously as Yuzu, Ruri and Serena's dragons before the Battle Royal.
"Rin…" Crow looked at the Main Pillar.
Security Headquarters – Prison Cell
Aki sat alone in her cell and saw her mark glowing. "I'm always being protected by my friends." Aki heard and saw Yuya protecting Rin using God Exodia as well as Rua protecting her in their Duel against Tony and Damon.
Near Duel Palace
Jack defeated more Revolutionists as he saw his mark glow. "And I don't have anything special like Pendulum, Contact Fusion or Rank-Up." Jack saw the different evolved forms of summoning.
Jack looked at the main pillar before closing his eyes and bowed his head.
Main Pillar
"Maybe Shinji's right…I do nothing but hold everyone back." Rin thought. "But even so…I want to protect this city…I want to protect my friends…I want to protect everyone's future!"
The marks disappeared from Yuya and Rua. "The mark…" Rua said.
"It's gone." Yuya said.
Jack, Crow and Aki were shocked when their marks disappeared.
The mark of the Crimson Dragon appeared on Rin's back and she stood up. "Divine…Shinji…I won't let you…take away the future!" Rin started running and the top card of her deck glowed.
"Rin!" Yuya shouted.
"What are you doing?!" Rua asked.
Divine LP: 1800, Hand: 2
Shinji LP: 1500, Hand: 0
Yuya LP: 1000, Hand: 0
Rin LP: 700, Hand: 1
Rua LP: 1000, Hand: 1
"My turn! Draw!" Rin drew the card. "I summon the Tuner Monster, Salvation Dragon - Savior Dragon (ATK: 0, LV: 1)!" Rin summoned a pink dragon. "Next, when I have a Tuner Monster on my field, I can Special Summon Wind Witch – Breeze Bell (ATK: 400, LV: 2) from my Graveyard!"
"That must be the card that was discarded with Hand Obliteration." Shinji glared.
"Next, I activate the Trap Card: Synchro Material! Synchro Material allows me to use Monster Cards anywhere on the field to perform a Synchro Summon!" Rin revealed.
"Anywhere?!" Divine's eyes widened.
Rin jumped off the ledge of the pillar, surprising all of them. "Return, Cyclone Dragon!" Cyclone Dragon escaped from Ultima's grasp and flew down to let Rin land on him.
"Alright!" Rua smiled.
"She got Cyclone back!" Yuya smiled.
"I'm Tuning my Level 7 Wind Witch – Cyclone Dragon and Level 2 Wind Witch – Breeze Bell with my Level 1 Savior Dragon!" Savior Dragon spun around and expanded to engulf both monsters and they became nine stars.
"Superior winds! Guide us to the direction of a future full of peace and prosperity! Synchro Summon!" Rin became engulfed in light. "Lead the way! Level 10! Savior Wind Dragon (ATK: 3800, LV: 10)!" Appearing was a clear white dragon with four wings and green gems adorned on its head and wings.
"Wh-What's that monster?!" Divine stepped back.
Security Headquarters
Roget watched the Duel from his seat and smiled. "Well, looks like the Psychic and Commons' revolution is over." He then started typing on his computer.
"And now it's my turn." Roget declared.
Main Pillar
Rin felt the power of Savior Wind Dragon around her. "I can feel all my worries going away…" Rin flew along with the wind.
"Savior Wind Dragon's effect! It negates the effect of Machine Emperor Ultima!" Rin shouted.
"What?!" Divine gasped.
"With its effects negated, it must release the monsters it absorbed! Break free! Clear Wing! Power Tool!" Rin shouted and Clear Wing and Power Tool emerged from Ultima and flew up to Savior Wind Dragon and Ultima was weakened.
Ultima (ATK: 14,600→0)
"Alright, our monsters are saved!" Rua smiled.
"Finish it, Rin!" Yuya cheered.
"From my hand, I activate the Magic Card: Synchro Bond!" Rin activated the last card in her hand. "This card allows one Synchro Monster to gain the Attack Points of all Synchro Monsters on the field and attack up to the number of times of the other Synchro Monsters on the field! I target Savior Wind Dragon and have it gain the Attack Points of Clear Wing, Power Tool and Hama!"
"What?! Even my own monster!" Shinji's eyes widened.
Savior Wind Dragon (ATK: 3800→6300→8600→11,400)
"11,400 Attack Points!" Divine shouted in shock.
"Impossible!" Shinji got frustrated.
"Your revenge ends here! Savior Wind Dragon, attack Machine Emperor Ultima! Follow the Wind!" Savior Wind Dragon and Rin flew down and pierced right through Ultima, destroying it and making Divine get blown away.
Divine LP: 1800→0
"And now the second attack! Savior Wind Dragon, attack Hama the Evil-Conquering Bow! Follow the Wind!" Savior Wind Dragon and Rin roared as they charged towards Hama while Shinji screamed in frustration.
Savior Wind Dragon and Rin destroyed Hama and Shinji was blown away and landed on his back.
Shinji LP: 1500→0
Winners: Rin Hogan, Yuya Sakaki, Rua Godwin
Savior Wind Dragon descended back to the ground and disappeared, leaving Rin there while Clear Wing and Power Tool disappeared too. Rin panted before she started to fall back.
"Rin!" Yuya ran and caught Rin in his arms. "I gotcha."
"How did I do?" Rin asked with a weak smile.
"You're amazing." Yuya smiled. "And you never held us back, in fact, you inspire us to get stronger."
Rin blushed. "Yuya." Rin wrapped her arms around Yuya's neck and rested her head on his shoulder. Yuya was a little surprised before relaxing and hugged her back with one hand on her head and another on her waist.
Rua inserted the flash drive into the Main Pillar computer and the system got locked. "Alright, we did it! We protected the pillar!" Rua announced. Yuya and Rin smiled at this, they did what they came here to do.
"System unlocked." The computer spoke.
"Huh?" Rua turned to the computer as the computer switched modes.
"Initiating Zero Reverse Protocol." The computer announced.
"What? No! Cancel! Cancel!" Rua tried typing.
"System is under administrative control." The computer said.
"No! No! No!" Rua banged his hands on the keyboard. Yuya and Rin rushed and tried to help him by pushing buttons and pulling levers.
"What do we do?" Rin asked.
"There's nothing you can do." Roget appeared on the screen.
"Roget!" Yuya growled.
"I must give you my thanks for defeating those animals." Roget nodded. "But I cannot allow you to continue doing what you must."
"You can't do this! The people—" Rin argued.
"I don't care about them." Roget stated bluntly. "To me, they're nothing but pawns in my plan to make the Synchro Dimension my kingdom. Everyone has a part to play, including you all and the Black Rose Witch." Roget showed Aki in a prison cell.
"Aki!" Yuya shouted.
"Huh? Yuya?" Aki looked at the camera.
"Big Sis Aki! Where's Ruka?!" Rua asked.
"She's—" Aki was then electrocuted by her restraints, making her scream in pain and the camera turned off, shocking the three of them.
"What have you done to her?!" Yuya demanded.
"The Black Rose Witch's Psychic Powers is to heal. I'm taking that power from her and using it to help the people who survive Zero Reverse. By doing this, the people will see me as their hero. The one who will lead them to a future of my design." Roget chuckled before laughing triumphantly before the camera turned off.
"Zero Reverse imminent. Evacuate the area immediately." The computer continued to start the Zero Reverse Protocol. Everything around the trio started to break and explode and many pieces of metal started to fall.
"We got to get out of here!" Rua started looking around.
"Damn it!" Yuya punched the screen of the computer hard.
"No…no…no…" Rin started to whimper.
"Rin…" Yuya looked at her.
"Yuya! Rin! I found a way down!" Rua pointed to a zipline.
"Come on." Yuya took Rin's hand and they both started running towards the zipline.
"Wait!" Shinji shouted, making Yuya and Rin stop.
"You can't leave us!" Divine said. "You have to help us. You can't live with yourself if you kill us." Divine smiled, knowing that they would do the right thing.
"We're not gonna kill you." Yuya stated and Divine smile grew. "But we don't have to save you." Divine's expression instantly changed to fear as he saw Yuya take Rin away.
Rua quickly grabbed one end of the zipline bar while Yuya grabbed the other. "Run on three!"
"Hold on to me." Yuya said as he put his arm around Rin's waist.
"Yes." Rin wrapped her arms around Yuya's neck.
"Ready! Three!" All three of them ran and jumped and let gravity take them down the line.
All across the city, the pillar supporting the Tops cities exploded causing them to fall onto the slums area. Yuya, Rin and Rua could only watch the fiery debris rain down on the slums.
Yuzu, Asuka, Jonouchi, Rio and Darkness
"Get down!" Jonouchi shouted as rubble started falling on them and he covered Rin.
"Yuzu!" Asuka covered Yuzu. She looked up and saw a giant part of a building heading towards them. She closed her eyes before feeling a pair of arms wrap around her.
Shun
Shun just laid there was more pieces fell around him. "Hey! Get up!" Crow quickly drives by and picked up Shun. "Kids, hang on!" Frank, Amanda and Tanner held on tight as Crow used his D-Wheel skills to avoid the rubble.
Sawatari, Dennis, Ruri and Serena
Sawatari, Dennis, Ruri and Serena watched with horror as Zero Reverse happened from the Safe Zone. "No way…" Serena was shocked.
Ruri fell to her knees as seeing the fire explosions and hearing the people scream bring back memories of the invasion of Heartland.
Seeing hat was happening around him made Sawatari collapse to the ground. "Sawatari!" Dennis quickly knelt down to him. "The shock must have been too much for his head. But I can't blame him."
Main Pillar – Gongenzaka
Gongenzaka laid Godwin and Kazama and few other fallen Duelists together. Gongenzaka took a deep breath. "Even if it kills me…I won't let anymore harm come to these brave men and women!"
Gongenzaka unleashed the darkness around him. "Dark Synchro!" Multiple Dark Synchro Superheavy monsters appeared and they all raised their hands and Gongenzaka did the same. "Rargh!" Gongenzaka roared as he prepared himself.
Sector Security Headquarters
Roget watched Zero Reverse unfold in front of him and he smiled.
King's Throne
Jack returned to his throne room and saw the destruction happening. Jack punched the glass hard and his knuckles bled.
Yuya, Rin and Rua
Yuya, Rin and Rua managed to avoid being crushed by the falling cities before making it to a Safe Zone as explosions occurred behind them.
Fire, dust and debris continued to spread out and consume Neo Domino City.
What began as a three-way fight between the Guardians, the Revolutionists and Duel Academia ended with neither side claiming victory.
Only one person came out of this without losing anything. The one that pulled the trigger but had the plan to make everyone see him as a hero.
Victory went to Jean-Michel Roget.
And finished. I was getting ahead of myself thinking I could finish this chapter last week. But I still kept my promising in updating every week.
