A couple of years after the Hauntley's had their secret revealed and were accepted by the city, a fifteen-year-old Vee was returning home with her friends.
"That science test was brutal," said Bridget.
"Should have taken Vee up on her offer to help you study like I did," said Poppy.
"I forgot she had picked up on human science recently and has been doing better, but in my defense, she was a Mad Scientist for so long," said Bridget.
"I still am a Mad Scientist, just a better one for understanding human sciences more," said Vee.
"And you can come to me anytime you need help studying, I'm always happy to help," she said with a smile.
"I'll do that next time," said Bridget before splitting off from the two at a crosswalk.
"Too bad she can't stay at your place this evening for dinner, Chef Remi has been making some spooktacular foods lately," said Poppy as she and Vee walked up the steps to the young vampire's house.
"Yeah, but she does have that new babysitting job so it can't be helped that she doesn't have much time to hang out on the weekends," said Vee.
"Ah, batkins," said Boris who was coming downstairs when the girls walked in.
"Hi papa, are we expecting a guest today?" asked Vee who had taken notice of the few extra spooky details added to the entrance.
"Yes, in fact we do have a big guest coming to the Scare B&B tonight, and he's our biggest guest yet," said Boris.
"Who is it, Mr. Hauntley?" asked Poppy.
"The Greek God, Eros, is staying the night and he asked that we make the house a little spookier as they don't get that much of it on Olympus," said Boris.
"Whoa, that is big," said Poppy.
"Would it be better if I just head home?" she asked while motioning to the door behind her.
"No, stay, please," said Boris.
"Eros has been watching over the people and creatures of the world for a long time and is even a big fan of the Ghoul Girls, so he was hoping to see the three of you while he's here," he said.
"Well, I can't argue with that," said Poppy.
