Here we are with Chapter 28 of the Synchro Arc. We are jumping right into the semifinal match between the Guardians and Team Ragnarok. I hope you are all looking forward to the upcoming Duels and I hope to live up to your expectations.

Chapter 28: Vs Ragnarok! Thor vs Pendulum
Team Guardians Penthouse
Yuya had called everyone for an emergency meeting despite it being the middle of the night. After Yuya told them what he saw in his dreams, nobody was in the mood to sleep anymore.
"I can't believe it…the entire school burned down." Yuzu was shocked by what Yuya told her.
"Yeah, but nobody was hurt." Yuya added.
"Man, this Raider guy really has it out for you. You sure you haven't met him before?" Crow asked.
"Never, but he clearly has something against me and he's going after everything I care about." Yuya answered.
"But you said Seto Kaiba is preparing Standard for war, right? Maybe if we contact him and you tell him the places important to you, he can make plans." Serena said.
"I was going to contact him, but Mr. Kaiba seems to know Raider so he's probably already thought of that." Yuya pointed out.
"I don't like the guy, but Kaiba is definitely reliable in situations like this. For now, we just need to focus on the Friendship Cup. Our next opponents are gonna be tough." Jonouchi pointed out.
"They are…they're famous all over the Synchro Dimension. Team Ragnarok." Aki answered. "They're Duelists who have the power of the gods. Their strongest members are Dragan, Brave and their leader Harald."
"They've won multiple tournaments worldwide. They're Professional Duelists." Crow said.
"Even so, we have to win in order to unite Neo Domino to our cause." Rin said. "And Team Security is already in the finals, we can't let them win or Roget will turn them against us."
"Losing was never an option to begin with." Rua said.
"Heh, interesting." Sawatari smirked. "I say bring it on Team Ragnarok. I'll show you that the power of the Standard Dimension is stronger than your so-called gods!" Sawatari declared.
"Looks like your back on your feet." Dennis smiled.
Just then, the Mark of the Dragon appeared on Yuya's, Rin's, Rua's, Crow's and Aki's arms. "Our marks." Rin looked surprised.
"It seems we are not the only ones special."
Everyone turned to see Team Ragnarok staring them at the entrance and their eyes were glowing.
"Team Ragnarok." Rio's eyes widened.
"What's up with their eyes?" Asuka questioned.
"I don't know but it's resonating with our marks." Crow looked at his.
"So, you're the ones that are this generation's Signers. Your symbols are impressive, but…" Brave smirked.
"You're not equal to our power." Dragan bluntly stated.
"This eye is a Rune Eye." Harald answered them.
"It was thanks to this that we were able to save many lives from being taken by Zero Reverse. However, something much worse than that is coming. And that will initiate Ragnarok."
"Ragnarok…that's Norse mythology's final battle." Aki said.
"And that something that is worse, it's probably Academia." Shun said.
"Maybe, maybe not." Harald answered. "The threat could be this, Academia. Or it could be Jean-Michel Roget. Or perhaps, even you all, Team Guardians."
"How can we be a threat? We tried to stop Zero Reverse." Rin pointed out.
"And we want to unite Neo Domino." Rua added.
"But your arrival has caused these incidents to happen." Harald pointed out. "Everything was okay, but when you all showed up, the balance of the world had started to shift. It's our duty as wielders of the Rune Eyes to protect the world from those that would destroy the world."
"You can't blame all that on us! We were just trying to warn everyone about Academia! They can attack at any moment, that's why we should work together!" Ruri insisted.
Harald showed his card and it glowed. "The three Aesir Cards don't consider you allies. Especially you, Yuya Sakaki."
"What?" Yuya raised an eyebrow.
"All of this started when you defeated that Duel Chaser 227. Even though he was a pawn of Roget—" Harald spoke.
"His name is Kazama." Yuya interrupted Harald. "And he changed, he…he entrusted the future to me. And I want to save the Synchro Dimension!"
"Is that so? Then this battle will show if that is true or not." Harald smiled.
"Yuya, don't get worked up on these guys." Sawatari said. "You're needed in the finals. For now, let me take care of these chumps and their 'gods'." Sawatari made finger quotes.
"Such bravado from a side character." Dragan insulted.
"Huh? What did you say Extra #3?" Sawatari growled.
"I've faced many Duelists that have the same attitude as you. Always claiming they're strong when in actuality they can only win with the help of others." Dragan pointed at Sawatari.
"And what's so wrong with that? It's only natural to fight with your friends." Sawatari said.
"Do you really fight with them? Or are you just a burden that's mere comic relief?" Dragan insulted.
"What did you say?!" Sawatari was about to blow a fuse. "I'll show you that the Super Ultra Hyper Strong Duelist, Shingo Sawatari, is way stronger than all of you combined!"
"Guess he's comic relief calling himself that stupid title." Brave chuckled. "He's gotta be the weakest one on the team."
"Hello Pot. My name is Kettle." Dennis spoke.
"What?" Brave turned to him.
"Getting high and mighty to hide your insecurities about being the weakest member of your team is a good show, but that's so cliché." Dennis smiled.
"You little punk. I'll—" Brave growled.
"Enough, Dragan, Brave." Harald stop them.
"Sawatari, Dennis, stop it." Aki walked between the two boys and put her hands on their shoulders. "We'll show them that we're the stronger team tomorrow. Because no one insults my friends and gets away with it."
"Very well. Tomorrow will be the Friendship Cup's true final battle! The winner will take on Roget!" Harald declared.
Duel Palace Arena
"Welcome back to another day of the Friendship Cup!" Melissa announced. "We are getting really close to the Finals, everyone. We already have one team in the Finals, Team Security who defeated Team Catastrophe in the semifinals. This Duel will determine who their opponent will be. Will it be the warriors from different dimensions, Team Guardians? Or will it be Team Ragnarok who posses the power of the Aesir Cards?"
"Here are the players that will be going for Team Ragnarok! Dragan, Harald and Brave! And the ones going for Team Guardians are…Shingo Sawatari, Dennis Macfield and Aki Izayoi!"
"Hey, are they serious? They're only sending one Signer?" Brave questioned.
"They'll regret underestimating us." Dragan prepared himself.
"Whether or not our opponents were the Signers, failure is not an option. We must win and save the world." Harald declared and both Brave and Dragan nodded.
On the other side, Sawatari finished looking through his deck and put it in his deck holder and it shuffled. "I'll start us off with a win. That's a promise!"
"Go get them, Sawatari!" Dennis cheered.
"We're counting on you." Aki smiled.
Sawatari raised his thumb in the air as he walked towards his D-Wheel. "I'll show you I'm not comic relief."
"The First Wheelers, Sawatari and Dragan are at the starting line! The second semifinal match is about to begin!" Melissa announced as Sawatari and Dragan revved their engines. "Field Magic: Dimension Highway!" The Dimension Highway was created.
"Duel Mode: On!" The D-Wheels activated and the countdown clock appeared.
"Bow before the power of the gods!" Dragan shouted.
"How about you bow before the awesome power of the Standard Dimension!" Sawatari shouted back.
The clock counted down and it reached 0. "Riding Duel! Acceleration!" Both Sawatari and Dragan sped off.
"I won't lose no matter what!" Sawatari did a wheelie and went faster than Dragan, surprising him and Team Ragnarok.
"Whoa! Sawatari performs a wheeling to dash out of the gate! He gets to make the first move!" Melissa shouted and the audience cheered.
"Go get him, Sawatari!" Dennis cheered.
"Show him what you've got!" Aki shouted.
"Duel!" Sawatari and Dragan declared.

"Here I come! My turn! Draw!" Sawatari drew his card. "I summon Abyss Actor – Curtain Raiser (ATK: 1100, LV: 4, PS: 7)!" Sawatari summoned his curtain themed monster. "This card gains 1100 Attack Points if it is the only monster on my field!"

"I set one card and end my turn!" Sawatari finished. "Now, bring it on! Or are you just all talk?!"
"My turn! Draw!" Dragan drew his card.

"I summon Polar Star Beast Garm (ATK: 800, LV: 4)!" Dragan brought out what looked like a red wolf. "Then, I set one card and end my turn!"
"In Attack Position? But that monster is much better for defense." Sawatari thought.
"Looks like you've noticed." Dragan saw Sawatari's face. "When Garm battles a Level 4 or lower monster, after damage calculation, this card and the card it battles will return to the owner's hand."
"Meaning if I battle, then it'll just return to my hand." Sawatari looked at his hand. "I can summon another monster, but…" Sawatari put his fingers on his deck. "My turn! Draw!"

"I summon Abyss Actor – Rolling Camera (ATK: 1300, LV: 4, PS: 3)!" Sawatari summoned a fiend that had a rolling camera.
"But since you summoned another monster, you're Curtain Raiser's Attack Points are reduced!" Dragan pointed out.
Curtain Raiser (ATK: 2200→1100)
"That doesn't matter! I've decided not to fall behind anyone else! I Overlay my Level 4 Curtain Raiser and Rolling Camera!" Both Sawatari's Abyss Actor monsters turned into purple lights and entered the spacelike portal in front of Sawatari.
"Star that is trapped in the shadows of the main character, now is the time to take the spotlight and show the world that you are the true hero! Xyz Summon! Descend! Rank 4! Abyss Actor – Brilliant Understudy (ATK: 2400, RNK: 4, OVU: 2)!" Appearing was a handsome young fiend actor that was dressed in a samurai costume and swung a katana around.
"Wow, Sawatari has Xyz Summoned!" Melissa shouted.
"He's mastered almost all of the summoning methods now." Yuzu was surprised by how much Sawatari had gotten stronger.
"So, you can do multiple summon methods." Dragan asked.
"After Zero Reverse, I made a promise to myself. That I would use my full power no matter what! Battle! Brilliant Understudy, attack Polar Star Beast Garm! Invisible slash!" Brilliant Understudy charged in. "Xyz Monsters have Ranks, not Levels, therefore, Garm's effect won't return it to my hand!"
"I activate my Trap Card: Polar Star Relic Brisingamen!" An accessory appeared on Garm. "My monster's Attack Points become the same as another monster on my opponent's field until the End Phase! I select Abyss Actor – Brilliant Understudy!" A fiery version of Brilliant Understudy appeared.
Garm (ATK: 800→2400)
"Wow, a classic samurai showdown!" Dennis was amazed.
"And if Garm destroys your monster while powered up, you take damage equal to the destroyed monster's Attack Points!" Dragan revealed.
"That means if Brilliant Understudy is destroyed, Sawatari takes 2400 points of damage!" Bruno's eyes widen.
"Impressive card, but I was prepared for that! Brilliant Understudy's effect! By using one Overlay Unit, I can one Abyss Costume card from my deck to my hand!" Sawatari added a card to his hand. "I use a Speed Counter to activate the Equip Magic: Hero's Sword! The equip it onto Brilliant Understudy and increase its Attack Points by 300!"

"Alright, it's stronger now!" Rin smiled.
"Go! Brilliant Understudy! Invisible Slash!" Brilliant Understudy took its new sword and charged at the fiery version of itself but didn't unsheathe its sword and in an instant Garm was destroyed and Dragan took damage.
Dragan LP: 4000→3700
"How do you like that? Now you know I'm not comic relief!" Sawatari smirked.
However, Dragan was chuckling. "Not good enough, Shingo Sawatari! I knew Garm would be destroyed, because that's what I was aiming for!"
"What?" Sawatari gasped.
"When a monster on my field is destroyed in battle, I can Special Summon this monster from my hand! I Special Summon Polar Star Beast Tanngnjóstr (DEF: 1100, LV: 3)!" Dragan summoned another beast to the field.
"Sawatari fell for Dragan's trap." Brave smiled.
"And now he'll face the wrath of a god." Harald narrowed his eyes.
"I set one card and end my turn!" Sawatari finished.
"My turn! Draw!" Dragan drew his card.

"I switch Polar Star Beast Tanngnjóstr to Attack Position! When this card switches from Defense to Attack Position, I can Special Summon one Polar Star Beast Tanngrisnir from my deck! Appear, Polar Star Beast Tanngrisnir (ATK: 1200, LV: 3)!" Dragan brought out a white goat.
"Next, I Normal Summon the Tuner Monster, Polar Star Beast Gullfaxi (ATK: 1600, LV: 4)!" Dragan brought out a horse.
"It's coming." Sawatari prepared himself.
"One of three gods is gonna come." Aki said.
"I'm Tuning my Level 3 Tanngnjóstr and Level 3 Tanngrisnir with my Level 4 Gullfaxi!" Gullfaxi turned into four green rings and both Tanngnjóstr and Tanngrisnir flew through them and became six stars.
"When the gate to the star world opens, the ancient god of battle swings its magical hammer! As the earth trembles, it arrives with roaring thunder! Synchro Summon!" Dragan's Rune Eye activated. "Come, Polar God Emperor Thor (ATK: 3500, LV: 10)!"
A beam of light shot to the sky and the god, Thor, appeared. "It's here! Dragan's ace monster! It's Polar God Emperor Thor, one of the three Aesir Cards that have the power of the gods!" Melissa shouted.
"What power." Shun felt the power even though he wasn't Dueling.
"And that's just one of them." Rio said.
"So, your god has appeared." Sawatari looked back.
"Shingo Sawatari, taste the power of a god! Battle! Polar God Emperor Thor, attack Abyss Actor – Brilliant Understudy! Thunder Pyle!" Thor raised its hammer and slammed it on the poor understudy, destroying it and damaging Sawatari, making him slow down and Dragan to pass him.

"What power! He annihilated Sawatari's Xyz Monster in a single strike!" Melissa was surprised by the power of the god.
"This is the power of a god! No do you understand? You can never defeat us!" Dragan smiled. "I set two cards and end my turn!"
"Ow…that really hurt." Sawatari was covered in scratches and tears. "Is this what Yuya felt when he faced the Egyptian Gods?"
Sawatari looked at Thor, who stared at him down and the face of Dragan looking down on him overlapped. "You bastard! Even if you have a god, I won't lose!"
"My turn! Draw!" Sawatari drew his card.

"Now, how will he fight against a god?" Harald watched closely.
"Probably won't do much, considering he's nothing special." Brave shrugged Sawatari off.
"I'll show you the power of Pendulum! Using the Scale 3 Abyss Actor – Extras and the Scale 8 Abyss Actor – Comic Relief, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Sawatari set his scale. Appearing was a chunky actor in a party hat and a trio of fiends. "With this, I can simultaneously summon monsters from Levels 4 to 7!"
"The stage is set! Now let the spotlights of the heavens shine down on the dark underworld! Pendulum Summon! Come forth!" The portal opened and two monsters came out. "Abyss Actor – Big Star (DEF: 1800, LV: 7, PS: 3)! And Abyss Actor – Pretty Heroine (DEF: 1000, LV: 4, PS: 2)!" Sawatari summoned his ace.
"I end my turn!" Sawatari finished.
"Useless! Pendulum is no match for the mighty Thor!" Dragan declared. My turn! Draw!" Dragan drew his card.

"Hm…you're monster effects won't help me in this situation." Dragan said.
"What?" Sawatari asked.
"One of Thor's effects is to negate an opponent's monster's effect and allow Thor to use it himself." Dragan explained.
"It's similar to Starve Venom." Yuya knew Starve Venom had a similar effect.
"But I'm not out of options! I activate the Trap Card: Magical Hammer of Mjolnir! This will allow Thor to attack twice this turn and deal 1000 points of damage for every monster that it destroys in battle!" Dragan revealed.
Thor unleashed lightning throughout the city. "Polar God Emperor Thor, attack Pretty Heroine! Thunder Pyle!" Thor slammed his hammer down on the poor actor and Sawatari screamed as he took damage and started to spin out of control
Sawatari LP: 2900→1900
"Whoa! God's power caused Sawatari to lose his balance!" Melissa got worried for Sawatari.
"He's taking real damage!" Aki saw Sawatari injured.
"Team Ragnarok, are they seriously trying to destroy us?" Yuya glared at the pit.
"An ordinary human has no chance of withstanding the power of a god." Harald watched the Duel.
"He's better off surrendering at this point." Brave said.
"Now Thor, attack Big Star! Thunder Pyle!" Thor destroyed Big Star and Sawatari was once again damaged and the impact clouded him and the D-Wheel.
Sawatari LP: 1900→900
"Sawatari!" Dennis cried out.
"Did that hurt? The impact swallowed up Sawatari!" Melissa wondered.
"Hey, Sawatari! This isn't funny! Hurry and come out!" Yuzu shouted.
"Did Sawatari crash?" Melissa questioned.
"In the end, he was nothing more than a regular Duelist." Harald shrugged his shoulders.
"Who are you calling a regular Duelist, your god is not that tough?!" Sawatari shouted as he emerged from the impact.
"Luck can only get you so far!" Dragan shouted.
"It's not luck! It's hard work and skill! I activate my Trap Card: If I have two Abyss Actor cards in my Pendulum Zones, I can add two Abyss Actor Pendulum Monsters with different names from my deck to my Extra Deck!" Sawatari added two cards to his Extra Deck.
"Then, Double Trap: Abyss Actor Strike! When Abyss Actors monster has been destroyed in battle, my opponent takes 500 points of damage for every Abyss Actor monster in my Graveyard, but I can't Special Summon for the rest of this turn! I have four Abyss Actor monsters in my Extra Deck, take 2000 points of damage!"
Sawatari revved up his engine and he caught up to Dragan and slammed right into the back of Dragan's D-Wheel making him spin out of control as he took damage.
Dragan LP: 3700→1700
"That's for calling me an ordinary Duelist! You're just the antagonist and everyone knows even if you beat the protagonist in the battle, you will lose the war! Because the protagonist shines bright like the sun!" Sawatari declared.
"Alright, he dealt big damage!" Rua smiled.
"But he only has 900 Life Points. That's nothing but a flickering candle against a God." Brave pointed out.
"And the god still has an effect that it hasn't activated." Harald smiled.
"Since he put more Pendulum Monsters in his Extra Deck, he's planning to summon a lot of monsters. But no matter how many monsters you bring out, god will annihilate them in one attack!" Dragan declared. "I set one card and end my turn!"
"Sawatari managed to deal damage, but…" Ruri looked at the screen.
"He's still facing a god." Asuka said.
"Is there anyway to defeat a god?" Serena questioned.
"The best way to defeat a god…" Yuya took out the Osiris card.
"I can't lose…I refuse to lose! I'm the star and I will shine! Shine brighter than these jerks, shine brighter than my rival, I'll destroy the darkness!" Sawatari thought.
Just then, the Osiris card in Yuya's hand glowed. "Osiris?"
"That's right? We won't accept this. For we are the true gods!" Osiris bellowed.
Standard Dimension – Ishtar Home
Marik, Ishizu and Odion were in hiding when they saw one of the Egyptian God cards glowed.
"The God Card!" Marik shouted and the card disappeared.
Synchro Dimension – Dimension Highway
A bright yellow light rained down from the sky and it hit Sawatari's deck. "Huh?" Sawatari was surprised.
"What's that?" Dragan looked back.
Sawatari saw the card glowing. "My turn! Draw!" Sawatari drew the card.
Sawatari LP: 900, Hand: 1, SC: 4→5
Dragan LP: 1700, Hand: 1, SC: 5→6
Sawatari looked at the card and his eyes widened. "This card…" Sawatari couldn't believe he had this card.
"I understand your feelings. I refuse to lose to those pathetic excuses for gods! I will fight alongside you, my friend!"
"Thank you, let's show them how bright we shine together!" Sawatari smiled.
"With my current Pendulum Scale, Pendulum Summon!" The portal opened and three monsters came out.
"Abyss Actor – Big Star (ATK: 2500, LV: 7, PS: 3)! Abyss Actor – Wild Hope (ATK: 1600, LV: 4, PS: 2)! And Abyss Actor – Pretty Heroine (ATK: 1500, LV: 4, PS: 2)!" Sawatari summoned three monsters.
"I told you! Pendulum is no match for the mighty Thor!" Dragan shouted.
"Pendulum is just the beginning of my epic comeback!" Sawatari shouted. "I release Big Star, Wild Hope and Pretty Heroine!" All of Sawatari's monsters disappeared.
"Three releases?!" Dragan's eyes widened.
"Yuya! You're not the only one that has been favored by the gods!" Sawatari shouted. "Almighty protector of the sun and sky, I beg of thee please heed my cry! Transform thyself from orb of light and bring me victory in this fight! I beseech thee, bless our humble game but first I shall, call out thy name! Descend! The Egyptian God! The Sun Dragon of Ra!"
"What?!" Harald and Brave exclaimed.
"Egyptian God?!" Dragan was shocked.
The dark clouds created by Thor dispersed, revealing the clear blue sky and shining orb descended down before opening up to reveal the Egyptian God, Ra.
"That's the Egyptian God that Marik had!" Yuzu remembered.
"Just like Osiris chose me to wield him, Ra has chosen Sawatari to be his wielder." Yuya spoke.
"Amazing! We have a clash between gods!" Melissa shouted.
"Oh…" Roget was watching the Duel and he looked intrigued.
"But that monster wasn't in our database." Brave looked at the computer.
"I can sense the power of Ra. It rivals that of ours." Harald felt Ra's power.
Both Ra and Thor resonated with each other, with both sides glaring at each other. "So, that's the god from your dimension? Interesting, Thor and I will take it on! Come, Shingo Sawatari!"
"Ra's Attack Points and Defense Points are determined by the total of the monsters released! The Attack Points of my three monsters were 2500, 1600, and 1500! The Defense Points were 1800, 1200 and 1000! Therefore, its stats are…
Ra (ATK: 5600, DEF: 4000)
"5600 Attack Points and 4000 Defense Points?!" Dragan's eyes widened. "It's stronger than Thor!"
"Sawatari just has to attack and he wins the Duel!" Dennis declared.
"Yeah, Thor has 3500 Attack Points. The difference between that and Ra's is 2100, which is over Dragan's Life Points." Aki nodded.
"And even if they have other gods…" Rin added.
"Ra is the strongest of the Egyptian Gods." Ruri smiled.
"Sun Dragon of Ra, attack Polar God Emperor Thor! God Blaze Cannon!" Ra charged up the cannon on its back.
"Thor won't lose to that pathetic god!" Dragan declared. "I activate the Trap Card: Curse of God – Leyding! I can only activate this card when a god is on my field! One of your monsters loses 2000 Attack Points until the End Phase!"
Thor fired the curse at Ra, but Ra roared and the curse was burned away. "What?! Why isn't it working?!" Dragan was shocked.
"In that case, I activate the Trap Card: Bifrost! When I have god on the field, I can destroy one card on the opponent's field! I destroy Ra!" Dragan pointed at Ra.
The Bifrost appeared and it struck Ra. "Now you have nothing left to protect—" The Bifrost disappeared and Ra was still there. "No way!"
"Ra is immune to Trap Cards!" Sawatari smiled. "In other words, it's superior to your gods! Go! Ra! God Blaze Cannon!"
Ra fired its cannon at Thor. Thor tried to deflect it with his hammer but the hammer was instantly shattered and so was the god and Dragan shouted in pain as he took the damage.

"Amazing, he defeated Thor!"
"Amazing Sawatari!"
"You're so cool!"
"Sawatari! Sawatari! Sawatari!" The crowd chanted Sawatari's name.
"Wrong!" Sawatari shouted. "I'm not just Sawatari! I'm the Super!"
"Ultra!" Dennis and Aki chanted.
"Hyper!" The rest of the Guardians chanted.
"Strong Duelist!" Melissa chanted.
"Shingo Sawatari!" The entire city cheered as Sawatari stood on his D-Wheel and posed as Ra roared above him.
Brave was ticked off at Sawatari defeating Dragan while Harald just watched.
"So, this is your true power, Shingo Sawatari." Dragan rode beside Sawatari as he sat back in his seat.
"It's not just my power." Sawatari said. "This was the result of the bond between my cards and my friends."
"Bond?" Dragan questioned.
"And our desire to end the Dimension War! To make sure people like Roget and Leo Akaba don't take away our future!" Sawatari declared.
"I see…Shingo Sawatari, I apologize for calling you comic relief. You are much stronger than I anticipated. A complete defeat for me." Dragan apologized. "However, Team Ragnarok will still win this Duel and defeat Roget!"
The entire city began to shake and emerging from the water was Thor, once more. "What?! Thor's back?!" Sawatari was shocked.
Thor (ATK: 3500, LV: 10)
"Thor has an effect when it's destroyed by battle or card effect! When it's sent to the Graveyard, it will be Special Summoned during the End Phase! And, the opponent will take 800 points of damage!" Dragan revealed.
"What?!" Sawatari gasped.
"If Ra symbolizes your bond, then the three Aesir symbolize our bond!" Dragan declared. Thor unleashed lightning that hit Sawatari.
Sawatari LP: 900→100
"Sawatari!" Yuya cried out.
Sawatari was badly injured as he passed the pits as Dragan pulled up to his team's. "We're counting on you, Brave!" Dragan passed off the sticker to Brave.
"Yeah! Thanks for leaving me the god!" Brave thanked and drove onto the highway.
"Dragan, what do you think?" Harald asked.
"They're stronger than we anticipated. I never thought they would have a god as well." Dragan admitted.
"But they have only one, once we gather all three, even they will give up." Harald declared.
"Brave, Team Ragnarok's Second Wheeler, plays expertly by using transformations! That's why he's known as the trickster! What strategy will he use?" Melissa wondered.
"I'll put you in your place, Shingo Sawatari!" Brave declared.
"Thor was revived thanks to its effect. Meaning even if we destroy it, it'll come back. But…there's one card in my deck that can change that, and that can help the team, but the cost will have to be." Sawatari looked up at Ra.
Ra looked down. "Never hesitate. Follow the path you believe in. For I have chosen you." Ra spoke.
"Ra, thank you. Dennis, Aki, this is the best I can do now. I'll leave the rest to you."
"Duel!" Sawatari and Brave declared.
"My turn! Draw!" Brave drew his card.
Sawatari LP: 100, Hand: 0, SC: 5→6
Brave LP: 4000, Hand: 6, SC: 6→7
"I'll set two cards! Next, I'll use Thor's effect, I negate Ra's effect! And if I recall, Ra's stats were determined by this effect, right?" Sawatari gritted his teeth. Thor cast lightning on Ra, and even though Ra was a god as well, it still suffered from the effect.
Ra (ATK: 5600→0)
"It's over! Battle! Thor, attack Ra! Thunder Pyle!" Thor raised its hammer and prepared to strike Ra.
"From the Graveyard, I activate the effect of Abyss Actor – Rolling Camera!" Sawatari shouted. "By banishing this card from the Graveyard, I can activate an Abyss Prop card from my deck. In addition, this Abyss Prop card cannot be destroyed or removed from the field for the remainder of the Duel!"
"No matter which one you use, it'll be useless." Brave declared.
"We'll see about that." Sawatari looked at his deck. "Please… my cards." Sawatari picked a random card. "I use a Speed Counter activate the Continuous Magic: Abyss Confetti Launcher! This card allows me to release one monster on the field! I release Ra!"
"What? He's getting rid of his God?!" Brave was shocked. Ra roared as it was released and it went inside the cannon. "What's going on? Why would he do that?"
"Well, what are you waiting for? Go ahead and take your win." Sawatari accepted his defeat.
"Thank you then. Thor! Direct Attack!" Thor's attack hit Sawatari and he screamed as he took the damage.
Sawatari LP: 100→0
"Whoa! Shingo Sawatari has been eliminated, but he put up an amazing fight! Well done, Sawatari!" Melissa cheered and so did the audience.
Sawatari made it to the pit and panted. "Sawatari, you okay?" Dennis asked as he prepared for his turn.
"Dennis, be careful, the damage is very real." Sawatari said and he passed his Pendulum Cards and Continuous Magic. "Use my card well."
Dennis looked at the Continuous Magic card and read its effect. "I see…don't worry, Sawatari. With your card, we'll defeat those gods." Sawatari and Dennis high fived as Sawatari passed off the team sticker. Dennis put the sticker on and drove off.
"Sawatari." Yuya approached Sawatari. "That was an amazing Duel. I'm proud to call you my rival. When all this is over, we should have another Duel. Your Ra against my Osiris."
"Heh, challenge accepted." Sawatari smiled and the two rivals bumped fists.
"It's showtime!" Dennis announced as the spotlight shined down on him. "People of Neo Domino City, don't look away as I show you my Entertainment Duel! This Duel is dedicated to my teammate, Shingo Sawatari. The title of the show is…the Fall of the Gods!"
"Oh please, your friend just got lucky. There's no way to defeat the gods!" Brave shouted.
"We'll see about that! The show must go on!" Dennis drew his card as he prepared to face Brave, who wielded the second god.
