After Poppy had admitted her feelings, a shocked silence fell onto the both of them while not moving.
"You… you love me?" asked Vee after a minute and finally finding her voice again.
"I have for a while now, and I know that you may not feel the same for me but…," said Poppy before being cut off.
"I do feel the same, Poppy," said Vee.
"That's why it hurt so much when you started to avoid me, because I had thought I creeped you out finally and you wanted nothing to do with me," she said.
"Vee, I'm so sorry," said Poppy as she hugged her.
"I honestly did not think that it would hurt you so much, truthfully, I wasn't even thinking, can you forgive me?" she asked.
"Of course," said Vee while hugging the human back.
"Can you put the necklace on for me?" she asked.
"Sure thing," said Poppy. The two then parted from the hug with Vee turning so that Poppy could put it back on for her.
"Feels good to be back to this age," said Vee after she was enveloped in a puff of smoke that turned her back to fifteen.
"Especially since I can do this now," said Poppy before kissing her. After the initial shock, Vee began to kiss back, both girls wrapping their arms around the other.
"Whoa," said the two after they separated.
"I really should have confessed sooner," said Poppy as they both smiled and laughed.
"Um, how mad do you think my parents are going to be?" asked Vee.
"They're downstairs right now," said Poppy.
"Oh, bat guano," said Vee with a worried expression.
